"Is everyone ready?" Jodie asked, looking at the FBI and some TMPD people.
"Kudo! What are you doing here? Megure-keibu, is this a set-up for me?" Mouri shouted.
"Mouri-tantei, how are you?" he said, avoiding his gaze.
"Mouri-kun, let's focus on our mission first then after that, you can beat him until you're satisfied." Megure told him.
"Yes, I will kill him after what he did to my daughter. Hhmmppp!" Kogoro muttered which makes everyone sweatdropped.
"Maybe letting them meet is not a good idea…" everyone thought.
"Okay. Team Alpha, go!" Jodie commanded.
"Yes!" they replied as they knocked down the security guarding the Black Organization. As they knocked them out, they secretly threw a sleeping bomb which makes the other members fell asleep.
"What the? Korn, Bourbon, let's go and call Gin and the others. It's an ambush." Chianti said Korn nodded then they ran to the room where the executives were meeting. Korn shot the other TMPD while Chianti is shouting.
"THERE'S AN AMBUSH!" Chianti shouted which makes them stood up but before they can move, they heard someone fell on the floor. It was Korn. Bourbon shot him.
"You! What the fuck!" Chianti cursed ready to shoot Bourbon.
"Codename Zero, an NPA SB agent." Bourbon stated pointing the gun to Chianti. Vermouth shot Bourbon but luckily he was able to dodge the bullet.
"Remember me?" Shinichi butted in.
"Cool guy?! But how?" Vermouth exclaimed eyeing him from head to toe then she heard a gun pointed at her. It was Jodie, looking at her with a scowling face.
"Kudo Shinichi, I see you are still alive." Gin said pointing his gun to him. Then he heard a click of a gun, it was Shuichi Akai. His archenemy. "Akai, you're also alive."
"Karasuma Renya…" Megure muttered, pointing a gun at the boss.
"Megure… I see you came back looking for me. How sweet." The boss said sarcastically then took out a gun.
"I see you brought your dog along with you." Rum said looking at Kogoro.
"Who are you calling a dog! Don't forget what I gave you years ago. Do you want still another one?" Kogoro commented, pointing a gun to Rum.
"How could I forget the pain you've given to me!" Rum shouted, caressing his left injured eye.
"You deserve it! After what you've done to my family." Kogoro answered.
Then Gin noticed that they are wearing a mask, "Don't tell me?" he thought then found a sleeping bomb lying on the floor. He quickly covered his mouth and nose, "DON'T BREATHE!" he shouted.
They quickly covered their mouth then Gin started to fire his gun randomly at them and the security of the Black Organization copied him as the FBI and other TMPD were on the floor, avoiding the bullets.
Bullets everywhere, Shinichi didn't know where to allocate himself. He didn't know that he was about to get shot when Kogoro pulled him down.
"Oji-san?" Shinichi muttered in disbelief.
"Oy brat don't you dare die on me. We still have something to settle on." Kogoro said, Shinichi nodded and then Kogoro pointed his gun to Rum, shooting him.
"RUM! HANG IN THERE!" Vodka shouted but it was no use. Rum is already dead. Gin gritted his teeth then threw a smoking bomb and opened a secret passageway. While Vodka threw a bottle of alcohol at them then threw the lighter at them which makes a fire started.
"No, wait! Korn!" Chianti shouted.
Vermouth slapped her, "Chianti, we don't have any choice!" she scolded and the rest of the Black Organization escaped. (The boss, Gin, Vodka, Vermouth, and Chianti)
The TMPD looked for a fire extinguisher then aimed it at the fire, thankfully the fire was not big enough. They were able to save Korn and the other Black Organization members.
"Where are the others?!" Jodie interrogated Korn. But Korn is not saying a single word. "I can see that you're the only upper one left here. The rest were just pawns in your organization. I'm not giving up on you!" she added and left the room. Rei entered the room next.
"Bourbon… you traitor." Korn muttered.
"I'm sorry my friend, just doing my job." Rei snickered.
On the other room:
"WHERE ARE THE FILES OF APTX-4869?" Shinichi shouted, slamming his hands on the table while interrogating a scientist of Black Organization.
"I swore my loyalty to the organization and this research." The scientist said.
"Yes! Even if you kill us, you won't get any information from us." The other scientist said.
"You won't give you any information so just give up." One scientist said which looks like the leader. "I swore the confidentiality of this research to my fellow friend Sherry. This research is dedicated to Sherry-san and her parents who died in this research." She added.
"Sherry, huh? Shall I introduce you to someone?" Shinichi said, smirking at her. The door opened then Haibara entered the room.
"Vesper, Paloma, Daiquiri. Good day. How are you?" she said on the other side of the table.
"Little girl, how did you know our codenames? Only Sherry knew who we were." The lead scientist stated which reveals to be Daiquiri.
"It's me Daiquiri. My old friend." Haibara muttered, giving Shinichi a cue to leave.
"S-sherry-san?!" Daiquiri exclaimed. "What happened to you? Vermouth told us that you're dead!" she cried.
"The organization tried to eliminate me because I found out that they killed my sister. I told them I will leave the organization but instead they handcuffed me to a wall in a sealed room while waiting for the boss to execute me. With no other way out, I took a pill of APTX 4869 I had pocketed to commit suicide before they could kill me, but instead, the pill shrank me into a small girl. And then I escaped using the garbage chute in that sticky room." Haibara explained.
"S-sherry-san, I'm sorry because we were not there!" Vesper cried, hugging her.
"When you left, Gin told us to work harder for the pill. He forced us to complete the APTX-4869 but without you, we can't complete it." Paloma said.
"How do we know that we can trust you? He told us to forget someone like you who betrayed the organization." Daiquiri butted in.
"Yes I betrayed the organization because they're using the incomplete APTX- 4869 for killing purposes. I tolerated all those killings because I don't care at first but the news of my sister's death was the final straw. I can't take it anymore. I really resented them." Haibara stated then they heard a bang on the door.
It was Shinichi whose chest is tightening, breathing harder, heavy sweats dropping in him, and some smoking are evaporating from his body.
"Shinichi! Hang in there!" Agasa shouted.
"Quick! Give me the APTX-4869 files! There's a young boy whose life is in danger!" Haibara exclaimed. Daiquiri was hesitant.
"B-but…" Daiquiri stuttered, avoiding her gaze.
"Daiquiri just hand her the files. We don't need it anymore." Paloma pleaded.
"She's right. We're free from Gin and the organization. We don't have anything to do with it." Vesper commented.
"What if…" Daiquiri is still hesitant.
"Do you want more lives to be killed by our own creation? Is this why you wanted to be a scientist? Do you want to be like Gin and the others who are killers?" Haibara shouted at her.
"No! I'm no killer! I'm just following orders!" Daiquiri cried then she handed Haibara a flash drive.
"Thank you, everyone!" Haibara muttered, smiling at them.
Hi! I reposted this chapter because I'm correcting my mistake. The information about Rum that I've used is "right" eye which is supposedly "left". The recent chapter 1066 is already out (or rather leaked) around the internet is about the revelation of Rum's identity.
The reason why I used "right" is because I thought Rumi Wakasa is Rum due to her personality changed to a scary face one time when she fights with those guys and also she's a good fighter. Also, I used the word "he" because he/him/his is a gender-neutral pronoun.
