Answering Pclauink's question, I'm doing Luna/Marlene, Hermione/Sirius and Ginny/Remus. All the other relationships like Jily or Alice/Frank are the same. I might have Regulus find someone but I'm not too sure yet. And try to catch the Mean Girls reference :) - Tiger xx
Hermione woke with a stretch and stepped out of her silk nightdress and into her expensive Muggle clothes, which consisted of a burgundy shirt and a tartan skirt. She slipped on her boots and started her hair routine, butterflies threatening to explode from her tummy. By the end of the day, her and her sisters would be back at Hogwarts. Her second home.
Entering the breakfast room, Hermione met Ginny in denim dungarees and a yellow shirt, her wand holding her messy bun in place.
"Alright Miones?" She asked, her mouth full of toast.
"Yeah. Where's Luna?" Hermione seated herself in her favourite chair by the window.
This room was one of the only brightly coloured places in the whole mansion. It was a vibrant yellow, shaped in an accurate octagon shape, and had circular ceiling windows. All the furniture was white or a very pale yellow. It was also one of the only rooms with proper wizard photos of the family, instead or foreboding portraits. There was one of Hermione with her old cat Salem curled up with a book by a fire, and next to that one of Ginny and Octavius flying around the Quidditch pitch. Luna and Zion playing around with herbs and plants was another in a frame. The photos on one wall consist plainly of annual photographs of each of the girls, each with their own rows from birth until their recent birthday. If you followed it along, you notice Hermione's teeth even out or Ginny's freckles become more pronounced. It also emphasised the differences between the triplets individually and their parents.
"I think she's in the cellar. You know, collecting the diaries her and mum obsessed over" Ginny shrugged, taking a swig of cranberry juice.
"Well I'm going to tell the house elves what to do in our absence. I'll meet you at the door." Hermione swept out of the room and glided down the stairs with a practiced grace Hermione Granger could never perfect.
Holding hands, the three girls walked into Kings Cross, marvelling at the Muggle fashion and how different things operated. Once they'd reached Platforms 9 and 10, the excitement became almost unbearable. One by one the sisters sprinted through the barrier, not caring who saw, because in a few hours they'd be home.
On the other side of the wall, the scarlet train billowed smoke into the sky. Children ran around the platform searching for pets, parents or pals they hadn't seen during the summer and families stood in clusters waving goodbye to their kids. As they walked down the platform, people stopped and stared at them, whether it be open mouthed or wide eyed, and the whispering begun. Mothers pointing at their expensive trunks, daughters staring longingly at their hair and clothes, boys staring longingly at other parts of themselves...
Suddenly Sirius appeared infront of them, grinning charmingly.
"Welcome to Platform 9 /4! How are you ladies?" he asked, looking at Hermione specifically.
"Perfectly well Sirius thank you" she replied with a smile. "Where are the others?"
"Oh they sent me to bring you to the compartment. Follow me, and don't mind the whispering. It'll only get worse once we arrive at the castle" he winked and meandered them through the crowds.
James pulled open the compartment doors and entered, with Remus and a plump, blonde and chattery boy coming behind him.
"... and did you know the Nettles are on the platform? What do you think they're doing here? Do you think they'll be like Malfoy or worse?"
James and Remus shared a glance for a few seconds, before Remus nodded and turned to their friend.
"They're quite nice actually, Peter. Not too snobbish" he said in what he hoped was nonchalance.
Peter's mouth stopped moving and turned into a round o. "You've met them? How? James and Sirius said they never come to the pure blood parties!"
"When did I say that Pete?" James looked up from his snitch he was fiddling with.
"When we were reading the prophet a few months ago. You said no one knows anything about them, not even what they look like. And Sirius said it's probably because they don't fit the pure blood idea of beauty, so they hide away and..."
"Pete must you embarrass me infront of our guests?" Sirius called from the doorway.
And that was the moment that Peter Pettigrew almost wet himself.
Hermione entered the room last and sat between Sirius and Ginny, her feet neatly crossed and her hands in her lap. The years of pure blood training made this a second nature she'd never had before. Ginny and James were in an intense discussion about the Hogwarts Quidditch season, snapping at anyone who even posed a threat to interrupt the debate. Remus and Peter were talking about Peters holiday, but he kept stealing glances at Sirius and Hermione who were laughing at a joke his fellow marauder had told.
After a few more anecdotes and trips to the trolley witch, Hermione caught Peter watching her for the umpteenth time, and asked politely "Peter do you have a question for me?"
The boy looked rather shocked, before saying tentatively "If you three are triplets, why are you black?"
All eyes trained to Hermione, even Ginny and James's.
"Peter! You can't just ask someone why they're black!" Remus hissed at his friend.
Ever well mannered, even though she was disgusted by his lack of tact, Hermione looked towards her sisters as if to say take notes and answered Peters question. "My late mother and father were unable to have children, for reasons I won't endeavour to explain now. So they used really old magic to create us and modelled us on their very closest companions. That's the shortened explanation anyway"
Peter looked at her in awe.
"But if you could please not tell anyone? Our parents kept all but our names secret for a reason" Ginny shrugged and went back to her conversation with James. Hermione's mind wandered to a certain two who knew her deepest secrets, but kept her mouth closed.
"Ooofff course Ginevra!"
"It's Ginny"
The group were engaged in a game of cards when Lily opened the door to the compartment.
"What brings you here Evans?" Sirius winked exaggeratedly.
"Not any of you. I came for the girls. I want to introduce them to Marlene and Dorcas" Lily snapped.
"Excuse us, we'll be back" Luna said airily, putting down the cards and floating out of the room.
Her sisters followed and they walked past a few compartments before stopping infront of one.
Lily slid open the doors and stepped through "Girls, these are the Nettle triplets Hermione, Luna and Ginny. Hermione, Luna and Ginny, these are my best friends Dorcas Meadows and Marlene McKinnon."
Lily gestured to a girl with olive green eyes and Grecian features, her black hair tumbling down her back like water.
The other girl's blonde hair was in a high ponytail and her chocolate eyes peered at them with curious excitement.
"Alice is in Franks compartment" Lily smiled and sat down.
"So how come you never come to our parties?" Marlene asked.
"Parties?" Luna asked, looking up from one the early editions of the Quibbler.
"Our parties. We and everyone else always invited you, only for a rejection note" Marlene explained, blowing a blonde fly away curl out of her face
"Our parents were never ones for socialising. Though we do regret not meeting you all sooner" Luna smiled and returned to the magazine, flipping it upside down.
"Speaking of socialising, you three don't happen to know where Narcissa and Andromeda Black sit do you?" Hermione asked.
"Er the Slytherin girls usually sit in the compartment next to the bathrooms..." Lily replied raising her eyebrows.
"They aren't the nicest bunch Hermione" Dorcas continued.
"Cissa and Andy happen to be our closest friends" Ginny raised her own brow in a challenge, but Dorcas backed down and the two girls left Luna in the room with the Gryffindor princesses.
Once the girls had left the boys compartment, Remus asked " so what do you think of them Peter?"
"They're beautiful, and clever. They could easily be the smartest in our year if they combined their favourite subjects " he shrugged.
"Cobs?" James asked.
"Mione" Sirius said proudly.
"You can't call cobs in Mione Sirius" James rolled his eyes.
"And why not?"
"Because you can't treat her like a conquest" Remus replied.
"I wouldn't! She's not a casual snog type of girl. And I could never treat a Nettle that way, it would mean certain death"
"So you'd only not treat her the usual way if she was a Nettle?" Peter joined in.
"No -"
"Just don't hurt her Pads. We can never be friends with girls because you hurt them" James said exasperated.
"Fine. I retract my cobs call. Now you must watch me live in the misery you're all causing me." Sirius left the room under a false pretence of drama, to cover up the hurt his friends words had caused him. He did not treat girls like conquests...
