and said, "ok, one thing first. I need to talk to stiles and talk about everything that happened last night, without you."
"No," Aiden objected automatically right after.
"Yes. And no wolf hearing."
"How do you even know?" I ask
"I'm a true alpha, you have no idea what I can do."
When Scott walks away, far away from a wolf's hearing range, I turned towards my brothers who raised a brow at my action, "well I know one thing that comes with being a 'true alpha'," her brothers motioned her to carry on as they curiously tilted their heads, "their lies are more obvious," I laughed and so did they. "Let's get to class," then we left for class.
Lunchtime came. The twins and I joined Scott in the corridor.
"Did you tell him?" Ethan asks.
"No, he's got enough on his mind right now," Scott answers.
"They're coming for you in a few hours, so do you," Aiden adds.
"What if it's not me. What if I'm not the one they want?"
"Who else is there?" Ethan asks, then turns around starts talking to Aiden.
I didn't pay much attention to what they were talking about but only focused on Scott who was looking at the staircase. I saw an Asian girl, from either China, Japan, or Korea. But, if Scott was looking at her when Ethan mentioned 'Who else is there?' it must be her. I unintentionally muttered "Bollocks," causing both my brothers and Scott to look at me weirdly. I explained, "China first favored country, England second, picked up the accent and some ways of talking." They nodded in acceptance.
Then we went back to class, yay!
When school was finished my brothers and I went towards our bikes. Scott was already there putting his gloves on.
We triplets slipped onto our bikes and stopped when Scott spoke, "guys I appreciate you want to protect me, but I have to be alone for a bit, so.. sorry about this." Scott started his bike and stopped for a second.
"Scott passes me the keys," he gave me a look which was easy through his body language, "I promise I won't let them follow you," He was hesitant but still passed me the keys. Once he was in a distance he wouldn't be able to hear up, "closely," I added as an afterthought. I passed the keys to my twins and they started their bikes, "stay back and low, don't alert him that we are following." They nodded smirking. Pulling our helmet shield down, we took off towards McCall's house.
We parked our motorcycles outside Scott's house until we heard a roar, specifically Derek's. We rushed towards the house and for some dumb reason, the twins thought it would be a good idea to crash inside the house through the window. While their triplet, I entered like a normal person, through the door, and in my wolf form I punched the Oni in the face/mask, causing it to stumble backward, giving us, the triplets enough time to push the Oni out of the house.
"Mom, now do it now!" I heard Scott shout. Suddenly, Melissa came out running from her hiding place towards where Derek pushed the Oni out of the door and smashed a container on the ground, which formed a line. Mountain ash, Smart.
Ethan and I walked away. In my wolf form to see in the dark then I looked around for threats and saw the Kira had an aura shaped like a fox around her. Probably Kitsune, my mind informed. I turned around again and searched for threats.
"It's Kira right?" I heard Aiden say, turning around AGAIN, so I could see what he was going to do, "You gonna tell us what you are?"
"What? What do you mean?" She asked in faux confusion.
Aiden kept smirking at her and grabbed her wrist. Is my brother an Idiot? I thought to myself, of course, he is.
"Aiden," Both me and Ethan said. His was more of a warning mine was of a scolding.
Aiden didn't stop only said, "watch." He brought her hand slowly towards the barrier, which caused her hand to be forced back. "See that? She can't go through it either." Ethan was now Aiden's side staring at Kira, "So what are you?"
"She's a kitsune, idiots," I say along with a male voice, which belongs to Derke. We looked at each other and then I motioned him to continue, "use your eyes, you can see it all around her. Younger ones give off an aura, she just hasn't learned how to conceal it yet. She probably doesn't know what kind she is either." Kira kept looking at him. It seems as if she was trying to figure him out, but then again, I could be wrong.
"I wasn't going to hurt her," Aiden defended himself.
"Not yet," he replied unamused.
"What do you think we're doing here Derek? For study group? We're here to protect Scott," Aiden continued.
"We're trying to fight for him," Ethan added.
"I'm sure you are," Derek replied still unamused. "I'm sure you'd kill for him, but are you willing to die for him?" Derek was facing us now, all seriousness in his voice and facial expression.
Without hesitation, I raised my hand on the side and said, "I'm willing." My brothers looked at me flabergasts, Derek had a proud smile but also a frown. "You people are important to me, I will kill the people who want to kill you first even if it means dying first."
"No!" All 3 shouted in my confusion.
"You are not included in this conversation," Derek says with a pointed look.
"You aren't dying before us," the twins said simultaneously.
Well, that went well.
The Oni started to band on the barrier.
"What are they doing?" Scott asks Ethan.
"Testing for weaknesses," I answer before him.
They bang harder, the force caused a pot and plate to fall, breaking them in the process. I look towards the entrance with a frown.
"Guys," Ethan says worriedly. "We have a problem." No shit captain obvious.
Scott brings out his phone and starts talking with Allison.
I wasn't really paying attention since it was mostly paying attention to the Oni, that was where all my attention what if they decide to fight.
"Scott we're going to have to do something," Derek warned.
As he warned the Oni broke in, I was in a fighting position, crouched, and hands in front of me.
"Don't do anything," Scott told us.
"Is he serious?" Aiden asks in disbelief.
"I said don't do anything," Scott now orders. He stuck out his hand for Kira, saying "trust me."
The four of us who were marked, let them pass through. We watched as the Omi stuck out their hands and touched the back of their ears and tilted their heads, a yellow glow in 'they're supposed to be eye' place, Scott and Kira were on their knees. The Oni let go of Scott and Kira making them fall sideways onto the floor. I ran and slid on the floor with my knees under my butt. Kira fell onto my thighs, looking at Scott, neither acknowledging me, I didn't mind.
I looked up to see the Oni standing at the door facing us. I gave them a grateful nod in appreciation for helping-ish. To my surprise, they nodded back and disappeared in a cloud of black smoke.
Derek and Aiden ran towards Scott, while Ethan came and help Kira.
"You're going to be ok," Aiden reassured Scott.
They got up. Scott and Melissa took Scott's dad to the hospital with the help of the boys. I helped Kira get home safely.
"I seriously hope that Scott being trouble for these years," I grumble a little muffled by the helmet.
Kira laughed behind me saying, "trouble seems to find him." We reached her house, "thank you," she told me.
"No worries. I'll escort you to your doorstep." I say with a bow, which she laughs at, then stops.
I looked at her confused until she opens her mouth, "Lucy, uh, you aren't, you know, uh."
I looked at her expression then the word came to my mind, "lesbian?" She nods her head in embarrassment. "Do not worry my lady, I shall not try to charm you, away from sir. Scott," I say in a mocking voice, which also is the same as copying a knight.
She looks embarrassed and asks again, just a little more firmly, "so are you?"
"Nah," I wave my hand in front of my face, "not bi or straight either," she had a confused look, which I chuckled at. "I flirt a bit with both genders, but I'm mostly entirely Asexual." I stop talking which looking at her up and down, "though I think I could change my sexuality to lesbian if it were you." I wink at her.
She laughs, "no you won't."
We start walking towards her porch, "well as much fun it was tonight, which gotta say was none. Have a nice night."
I say walking back towards my bike. As I was going to start the engine, I heard my name from the voice of a woman, "Lucy?"
I look towards my side and saw Noshiko, oh my god, how did I not put the pieces together? I scolded myself inside my head.
I came back to reality and ran towards Yukimura's house door and hugged Noshiko. "Oh my god, I'm so dumb, Kira was your daughter. How didn't I realize this? The name Yukimura, that she was a kitsune and Asian and-"
I was cut off when Kira called my name in confusion, "Lucy."
"Oh right sorry," I say stepping away from Noshiko. I turn to Kira and inform her, "I was in Japan and Noshiko was the one that taught me about Kitsunes. And they say wolves and foxes don't get along." I grumbled the last part. "Let's get inside, it's cold."
Kira was confused but complied going to her room. Noshiko and I walked towards her bedroom.
"Lucy dear, what you said before was because you are an exception. You have an aura that attracts different types of people. You aren't attracted to fighting unless they need you. If both your loved ones fight each other you stay out because you know you can't stop it." Wow, accurate so far. "This aura or feeling it's the first in thousands of years. I met this woman in my first 521 years, you look exactly like her. You gained this power from her, your blood. Only those worthy enough can achieve it, I have waited thousands of years and finally found you."
"Do you're saying that you met my ancestor, and she had the same powers-ish as me?" Noshiko nods, "and everyone that is part of my family has a chance of becoming like me because of my ancestor, but hasn't because they aren't worthy?" She nods again. "What is it with us and attracting trouble?" I asked annoyed.
She laughs at my expression, "this is only the beginning. Once you overcome this obstacle, there will be more, once it's all over there be peace and happiness. Remember Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
"Did you steal that from Confucious?" She laughs and nods. I look out of the window and declare, "better get home or my brothers will be worried."
"See you next time Lucy." I jump out of the window inside her room and walk towards my bike as if I didn't just jump out of a 2 story house.
I start the engine and drive to my building loft.
"Where were you?" Aiden asks worriedly.
"Visiting an old friend," I answer truthfully as they accept the answer. I then announce wearily, "and I am going to sleep because the action that happens today was exhausting."
Both brothers nod in agreement and walk out to their rooms. Lucy walks into her room and drops onto her bed in deep sleep without bothering to even take her clothes off because of the exhaustion.
It was a nice night.

None of the pack members noticed the Oni's strange behavior towards Lucy nor did they notice the different mark the Oni branded her with '保護者', a universal word for 'Protector' in ancient Korean, Chinese and Japanese.
