PREVIOUSLY-

"Sure thing. Can we have a movie night when I get back?" Paul asked as he got up, taking the note from me.

"Of course, we can." I told him, even though it was really late already. It was the least I could do for my pack.

Paul took off and was back within 10 minutes. I had already cooked a bowl of popcorn and put in 'Underworld: Rise of the Lycans' which all the guys thought was hilarious.

Sam was still quiet, but he sat in the recliner and held his arms out for me to sit with him. I sat on his lap and snuggled into his side as he kissed the side of my head and muttered Quileute words in my ear almost too low to hear.

I didn't even know that I'd fallen asleep when I was so rudely woken up by my alarm. I groaned and tried to roll over to turn it off, but I was being held securely in place by Sam.

"Sam, I have to get up." I told him, knowing he could hear me.

"Skip school." He murmured back to me, his face buried in my hair.

"It's my last day of school, I can't skip it." I told him, once again trying and failing to get out of his grasp. "Will you let me get up if I say you can take a shower with me?"

His head popped up and he released me. It was a quick shower, but he definitely made it count. He drove me to school and I made it just barely on time.

My last day was uneventful, my exams were done and I'd passed them all. The principal had called me into his office and had given me my diploma, and that was that. No graduation ceremony, nothing. (Which I was more than happy about.) I'd only told Angela that I was graduating early. I didn't want the rumor mill spreading like wildfire before I was gone. Angela gave me a teary goodbye with a promise to meet up for lunch every now and then to catch up.

Sam was waiting for me, standing outside of his truck as I walked out the door, looking much better than he had this morning. He had a huge smile and wrapped his arms around me tightly as I made it over to him.

"All done?" He asked as he kissed my face all over.

"All done." I replied happily.

He drove me over to Charlies, who already had pizza waiting for us.

"I'm going to ask you what happened last night, but I want to tell you how proud I am of you first." Charlie said as he hugged me tightly.

"Thanks, Dad." I said as I hugged him back.

"Now what happened?" He asked as we all sat down to eat.

"It was my fault, Charlie. I was having a rough time yesterday. It was the anniversary of my mom's death and I didn't handle it well. Paul told Bella and brought her down to the res." Sam told him before I could.

"I'm sorry to hear that, Sam. Was Bella able to help?" Charlie asked.

"More than you know. She has a way of being able to center me, even when I can't. I don't know what I'd do without her." Sam told him while reaching over and grabbing my hand.

"Now, I know you're moving out tomorrow, Bells, so tonight is your last night living in this house. I'm going to let Sam stay here tonight, so long as he sleeps on the couch. I assume Paul and Jared will be here to help with your things tomorrow, but I'd uh- I'd like to help as well. I may not be able to do as much as I used to, but I want to be there when my daughter moves into her new home." Charlie said to me.

I felt tears well up in my eyes as I looked at Charlie, and not being able to find my words, I just nodded.

"We're planning on having a bonfire in the backyard tomorrow night in celebration, if you'd like to stay for it, Charlie." Sam told him as I wiped my cheeks.

"I would like that, Sam. Gives me a chance to check out your new place and all." Charlie replied after clearing his throat.

"You'll love it, Dad. You won't want to leave. Sam hand-crafted most of the details himself." I said after pulling myself together.

"And it was supposed to be a surprise tomorrow, but I want to tell you, Charlie, that I got us a new 65 inch flat screen T.V. if you ever want to come down to the res to watch the Mariners. Our house is open to you." Sam told him, surprising the both of us. I raised my eyebrows as I looked over at him.

"Wow, that's a big one. I definitely won't be passing up the opportunity to watch the game. Are Billy and Harry invited too?" Charlie asked, clearly excited now.

"Of course." Sam told him, and I could see him making plans in his head already. I would have to remember to thank Sam for this. He knew I wanted to find more ways to spend time with Charlie, and a new flat screen would definitely have him over at our house.

We all went to bed as Sam made the appearance of sleeping on the couch until Charlie was asleep.

I was exhausted when I felt Sam slide into my bed behind me, pulling me close to him.

"Thank you." I muttered tiredly. I knew he would know what I was referring to.

"Anything for you, honey. Go to sleep, I can feel how tired you are. I love you." He said as I turned my head to kiss him.

"Goodnight, I love you too." I mumbled, falling fast asleep.
