Chapter 11: Double Trouble

I ran down to the Slytherin common room, tears now streaming down my face like waterfalls. I saw Al on his own reading a book. "Where's Scorpius?" I asked him, making him jump.

"Um...he's still in bed, are you ok?" He asked standing up.

"Fred and James hate me. Why? Is he ok?" I asked sniffing.

"He's fine, the boys did number on him" He said. I didn't need to hear any more, I ran up the stairs.

I opened the door and crept over to Scorpius' bed. "Babe" I whispered "Are you ok?" I asked him, stroking his hair away from his face.

"Ugh...My face hurts. I can't move, everything hurts" he complained weakly.

"Aww baby" I sat down next to him and gently pulled his head into my lap, I was still crying silent tears but Scorp noticed.

"Whats up with you? Why are you crying?" He asked sitting up.

"James and Fred hate me!" I broke down into tears again. He pulled me into a hug. I stiffed and snuggled into his body.

After lying in Scorpius' bed for ages, I persuaded him to go for a shower. While he was in the shower I made his bed and opened the curtains. When Scorpius left the bathroom in his jeans , I could see the full extent if his bruising. A large purple and blue bruise spread across his nose and cheeks. There was a mark similar on his rib cage where Fred had kicked him.

Before we left the dorm for lunch I massaged some cream into Scorp's side and face. He winced and clenched his fists as I applied pressure. We left the dungeons hand in hand. I was pulling Scorpius along now, the baby was making me extremely hungry. We were at the doors to great hall when Professor McGonagall came out. "Mr Malfoy" she gasped "what on earth happened to your face" the professor asked us. I looked at Scorpius with a panicked expression but he just squeezed my hand and told her that he walked into a wall. She didn't look convinced but let us go.

The rest of the day passed very slowly. We hadn't seen any of my family which was odd as there's a lot of us. We spent the evening in his dorm, laying on Scorpius bed. "Do you think my family is avoiding us?" I ask Scorp weaving my fingers into his. He looked away.

"I don't know. I haven't seen any of them but I know that Al isn't" I nodded, knowing one of my family members wasn't mad gave me hope.

"I'm going to go now" I told him "it's a big day tomorrow, we get to see the baby!" His eyes lit up.

"I know I'm so excited!" His voice was full of excitement.

"Good Night" I said, giving him a kiss and leaving the dungeons.

The next day I woke up in a very good mood. "Morning guys" I shouted opening the curtains and allowing the sunshine to flood into the room.

"Rose! It's to early" Alice complained rolling over.

"Why are you so happy?" Sophie asked sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"It's the day of the scan to today! We get to see the baby!" I told them smiling.

"How's the sickness today Ro?" Molly asked getting up and going to her trunk. I thought about it.

"I'm not nauseous at all this morning" I told them.

The girls and I met Scorpius and Albus in the entrance hall. I practically ran into Scorpius's arms, after giving him a hug and a kiss I said "we are going to see the baby today!" He nodded, smiling. We had breakfast and went off to lessons. The few lessons we had before the scan went extremely slowly.

When the bell finally rung signalling the end of lesson two, Scorpius ans I headed off to the hospital wing. We knock on the door and go in. "Ah Good Morning you two" Madame Pomphrey greeted us. We waved and headed over to the fire place.

"You two will floo to St Mungo's, meet to mid wife and have a scan then floo back here in time for lunch" She told us.

"That sounds good. I'll go first" He threw power at the fire, shouted "St Mungos", stepped in and disappeared. Next it was my go. I stepped into the flames and spun out of Hogwarts.

I began to feel nauseous as the fireplace's sped past me. I fall out of the fire to pristinely bright white walls, floors and ceilings. I collapse into Scorp's arms. "You ok?" He asked. I shook my head, dry heaving. I ran to the bathroom. The few people in there left quickly at the sight of the pale, gagging ginger. I stood gripping the sinks, my knuckles turned white. I breathed deeply.

I managed to calm myself down and left the bathroom and headed back into the waiting room. Scorpius was leaning against the wall waiting for me. "Are you ok?" He asked.

"Yep, although I don't think flooing is good for pregnant people." I told him. I took his hand and lead him towards the desk.

"Hi. I'm Rose, we have an appointment" I told the receptionist. She scanned the parchment in front of her.

"Ah yes. Take a seat, the midwife will be with you shortly" The woman told us. We sat down in the corner.

"Rose?" Someone called. We looked up to see a pretty blond woman waiting by the door.

"Come this way" we followed her into the adjoining room. "Hello, I'm Healer Charlotte. I'll be your midwife throughout the whole pregnancy. Just fill out these forms and then we can get started" Charlotte handed me a clipboard with a few sheets of paper attached. I hadn't been here for ages so I suppose my records needed to be updated. I handed the forms back to Charlotte. She scanned over them, "that all seems to be in order. Step behind the curtains and put this on and we can do the scan" she handed me a paper top.

I stepped behind the separators and pulled off my shirt. Before changing I noticed the purple stretch marks clawing across my hips and boobs. I wasn't showing yet but my stomach was becoming harder. "I'm ready" I told them pulling back the curtains.

"Good. Get on the bed and we'll do the scan" The midwife told me. I hopped up and lay back.

Charlotte asked me to push up the paper shirt up so it rested below my bra. She squirted cold gel on my stomach, then she pulled a machine over from the edge of the room. Charlotte moved the little adapter around on my stomach and an image popped up on the screen. "This is the baby's head" She told us pointing to the top of the mark. My eyes glistened and I grabbed Scorpius's hand. He kissed my temple.

"Lets here the heart beat" She turned a nob on the machine and a thumping filled the room. My heart melted and my eyes pooled with tears. I turned to look at Scorpius and saw the same lovesick expression on his face.

"Hang on, I think there is a second heart beat" I looked at Scorp panicked but he was looking at the doctor, silently asking what was happening.

"I think that you are having twins" She kept looking intently at the screen. "Yep. You are definitely having twins. Thats baby 1 and that's baby 2." Charlotte told us, pointing at the screen.

"What" Scorpius asked his voice going all squeaky and the colour draining from his face. I was hyperventilating now.

"How the hell are we going to look after 2 babies. We are only 16" I cried gripping Scorp's hand.

"I know it will be hard but you will have lots of support" Charlotte said, now wiping the gel off my stomach and helping me up. Scorpius was still sat in the chair, his head in his hands. I could see they were shaking. "Get changed back into your top then you need to get back to school" she led me back to the curtain separated.

Behind the curtains I pulled my top back on. In the main room Scorpius was still pale and shaky, "come on Babe, we need to get back to school" I said reaching out for his hand. When he took my hand, his was really clammy. We thanked Charlotte and she promised not to tell anyone until we were ready. In the waiting room, I pulled him into a hug, whispering into his ear that it would be ok. We decided not to tell Madame Pomphrey that it was twins, then flooded back to school.

"Hello, how was the appointment?" Madame Pomphrey asked as we arrived.

"It was great. The baby is healthy" I told her, Scorpius apparently unable to talk. She told us to go to lunch and to owl if we had any questions.

We went down to the great hall for lunch. Scorpius still hadn't said anything. I knew he was stressing but I needed him to be strong for me or I would break down. "Rose, Scorpius" someone called behind us. We turned around to see Albus and Sophie coming down the stairs towards us.

"How was the appointment? Is the baby ok?" Sophie asked when they reached us.

"The babies are ok" I said waiting for their reactions. Al's head shot up

"Did you say babies" he asked his eyes wide.

"Yep. It's twins" Sophie screeched and gave me a hug.

"Scorpius? Are you ok?" Al asked. I looked next to me to see Scorpious looking dazed.

"I'm having two babies" he said weakly before collapsing, luckily Al caught him.

Scorpius POV

I woke up feeling dazed and confused. I didn't know where I was or what was going on. I could hear voices though. A girl was crying hysterically, another was trying to calm her down. There was someone else pacing up and down me. I opened my eyes and tried to talk to get their attention but all I could do was moan feebly. I realised I was in the hospital wing. The person pacing had been Al but he had hear my moan and was saying

"Rose, look he's awake" Rose, who I know knew was the girl the crying, looked up then threw herself at me.

"Scorp your ok! You really scared me! Don't ever do that again!" She cried into my shoulder as I tried to sit up.

"You really scared us there mate" I looked up from Rose to see Al and Sophie stood at the foot of my bed. Al had his arm draped around Sophie's waist.

"We'll leave you two now. We need to get back to class. We'll meet you in the Slytherin common room when your released" Sophie said, as her and Al left the room.

"Ah Mr Malfoy, your awake!" Madame Pomphrey siad as she came out of her office. "How do you feel? Not dizzy? Sick? Feverish?" She pressed. I shook my head, sitting up. "Good, stay here until the end of lessons, then you are free to go. Miss Weasley you can stay to" she said before entering her office again.

"Come here" I said to Rose as she began crying in the chair again. I grabbed her hand and pulled her down next to me in the bed. "I'm fine, I promise. Finding out your going to be a Dad at 16 is scary but finding out your having twins is terrifying!" I told Rose planting a kiss on her head.

"Your still in? Because I don't need you to do this. I can do it on my own" She said looking up at me her big brown eyes watering.

"Rosie, look at me. I'm not leaving you. We are going to to this together. Im going to be by your side every step of the way, no matter what" I promised her. She nodded and kissed me.

Rose POV

Scorp was released from the hospital wing just before the bell rang signalling the end of the day, so we headed down to the Slytherin common room to meet Albus and Sophie. The two of them came into the common room and walked over to us.

"Hey guys. Scorp how are you feeling?" Al asked plopping himself down on the sofa and pulling Sophie into his lap.

"Much better thanks" he said kissing my head. "Oh Rose, Rox and Dom were looking for you earlier, they wanted to know how the scan went. And Emma to, she wants to apologise for Fred's behaviour" Sophie said. I nodded and made a mental note to find them and the others later.

We went down to dinner just before six, walking down to the main hall someone called Sophie's name. We turned to see James running down the stairs towards us. "Can you tell Rose that that there is quidditch practice after school at 4 tomorrow" I scowled. "If she's not to fat to get on a broom" he added as an afterthought.

"Why can't you tell her yourself?" Al asked.

"Sophie, tell my brother I'm not talking to him or anyone on Rose's side" He replied folding his arms.

"Piss off you arse!" Al shouted taking my arm and leading me away from the hall and down to the kitchens.

After eating with the house elfs Sophie and I said good night to the boys and went to find my cousins. In the Gryffindor common room Molly, Emma and Dom were sat in the corner chatting quietly. "Hey girls! Lets go up to my dorm and chat" they nodded and followed me and Sophie. Luckily Alice and Molly were in there to as I needed to talk to them also. Dom, Rox and Emma sat down around the room and Molly shut her book.

"So how was the scan then Rose?" Alice asked looking up her homework.

"Well it's twins!" I told them. They all squealed excitedly.

"Are they healthy and doing well? Molly asked.

"Yep! Two healthy babies" I smiled.

"I wanted to talk to you guys about James and Fred." Emma and Rox exchanged looks.

"What?" I asked looking between them. "We were with them this morning, Fred wants to tell your parents. Get them to talk some sense into you two" Emma explained looking worried.

"What? Why would he do that? What did James say? I practically shouted.

"We shot down the idea pretty quickly. James didn't actually say anything, I think he misses you and feels bad about it all" Molly said.

"Well he needs to swallow his pride and apologise. Fred does to" I told them.

The others all left and I went for a shower and got changed for bed. "Night guys" I said to Molly, Alice and Sophie. "Good night babies" I whispered stroking my stomach.
