So, this is it. I know I'm a few days late for a Christmas chapter, but I hope you all are still a little in the festive spirit to read about Rory's and Logan's Christmas Eve. Enjoy the conclusion to "Rain of a Thousand Tears".

15. All I want for Christmas is you

Two weeks later, it was Christmas Eve, and Rory and Logan had decided to spend it just the two of them, in Rory's Manhattan apartment. On Christmas morning, they'd drive to Star's Hollow, and in the evening, they'd attend Emily Gilmore's annual Christmas dinner. But this night was just theirs.

Logan had convinced Rory to get a small tree, which was now the only source of light in the room. They had finished dinner – Logan had cooked – and now they sat on the couch with a glass of wine, cuddling and enjoying their first Christmas together.

"This is perfect, Logan." Rory whispered for the umpteenth time that night.

Logan kissed her. "No objection there, Ace."

Right after the falling out with his parents, Logan had driven back to the city and woke up Rory to tell her. Rory, though cranky at first due to being woken up, had been thrilled at the news. He had some projects to finish up, but just six more weeks and he'd be free of Huntzberger Publishing Group.

Rory had joked about now him being the one with the open doors ahead of him, but Logan had made very clear that whatever path he chose, it would be with her by his side. Rory was thrilled.

Rory enjoyed her cozy night on the couch but could feel Logan getting tense after dinner was over. She wanted to ask if he was okay when he got up. "Where do you think you're going, Mister?" she complained.

Logan chuckled nervously. "I'll be right back. I have something for you."

Rory pouted. "But we've agreed to exchange gifts tomorrow morning. My present for you is at Mom's, I have nothing to give to you. Can't this wait?" Rory rambled on until he got back from the bedroom.

"It can't." he stated firmly. And just like that, he got down on one knee and presented a small velvet box.

"I know this may seem terribly fast, but I've never been so sure of anything in my life before. And we've lost six years already, I don't want to waste another day. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Rory Gilmore, and I want the rest of our lives to begin right now." He opened the box, presenting the very same ring he had offered her six years ago. "Will you marry me, Ace?"

And this time, Rory was sure of the answer with all her heart. "Yes!" she exclaimed. "Yes, Logan Huntzberger, I want to marry you! Yes, yes, yes!"

Logan beamed up at her and put the ring on her finger, with a deep sigh. "And just so you know, I'm not going to do this ever again. This is stressful!"

"Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad I can still make you nervous." She teased him.

"I bet you do." He grumbled, before pulling her to him and sealing their engagement with a deep and breathtaking kiss.

It was the perfect moment for Rory. No big gestures, no elaborate event, just the two of them, making the decision to spend their lives together.

"Should I get the champagne?" Logan offered.

Rory declined. "You're going nowhere!" And with that, she pulled off his shirt and opened the zipper of his pants. "There's a better way to celebrate."

How could Logan contradict that?

He took off her dress and pantyhose, then pulled her on top of him so she was straddling him. She moaned as her center made contact with his erect cock. She moved against him slowly, teasing both of them, while Logan took of her bra and sucked on her nipple.

"This is the perfect Christmas!" he murmured.

Rory smiled and kissed him passionately. "Let me make it even more perfect." she promised. With that she got up and stripped out of her panties before pulling down his boxers. Logan let his hand wander to her center, feeling her wetness, making her shiver.

Smiling, she straddled him again, stroking her wetness up and down his erection a few times. "Have you been naughty or nice this year?" she teased in a husky voice.

"A little bit of both." Logan replied with a smile, his voice strained through her ministrations.

"Just what I wanted to hear." Rory whispered. With that, she positioned him at her center and lowered herself onto him in a painfully slow motion. She wanted to feel every inch of him enter her, of them becoming one.

Logan resisted the urge to thrust upwards, let her take her time, loved watching her eyelids flutter in bliss as he was finally all the way inside her.

"I can't wait to become your wife." She whispered, slowly moving on top of him.

Logan embraced her, met her slow and steady rhythm, and thought that heaven on earth couldn't feel any better than this.

They continued to make love, whispering sweet nothings in each other's ears, trying to make up for lost time. As their breathing became more erratic, their movements less controlled, Rory looked him in the eyes and smiled. "I love you, my future husband."

Her whisper was enough to push him over the edge, and to take her with him. With a deep moan, they came together, beginning their lives together in blissful extasy.

Late that night, they should already be sleeping as they had to get up early to drive to Connecticut, Rory lay draped over Logan on the couch, looking at her ring sparkling in the lights of the Christmas tree.

"I can't believe you've kept it all those years."

Logan took her hand and kissed the tip of every single finger. "I couldn't quite give up hope. Maybe I am a hopeless romantic after all."

Rory chuckled. "I'd say you're pretty good at getting romantic. And I'm happy you kept it."

"So, you're not mad that I didn't wait until tomorrow?" he teased and flipped them around so he was on top of her.

"No complaints." Rory laughed. "Have you thought about it any further?"

"About what?" Logan mumbled absent-mindedly, being busy with kissing his way up and down her body.

"The wedding, of course."

Logan looked at her with raised eyebrows. "Are you kidding? You saw how nervous I was. Why would I jinx it by making plans?"

Rory giggled. "Okay. Can I make a suggestion then?"

"Be my guest." Logan was still not fully committed to talking. Despite having had sex twice already that night, he couldn't get enough of his wife-to-be.

Rory tried not to let his ministrations distract her. "I want it to be soon. I don't want to wait, and I've always wanted a Winter wedding anyways. And nothing big, just family and closest friends. And you know what would be perfect? If we could have it at the cabin, with a view of the lake."

That finally got Logan's attention. "That's an amazing idea, Ace!" A small intimate ceremony at the place they had reconciled – it wouldn't get any more perfect than that.

Rory beamed down at him, pulled him up and gave him a tender kiss. "I thought you made an amazing boyfriend, but I have a feeling you'll be an even better husband." She whispered lovingly.

Logan smiled down at her. "You saying yes was the best Christmas present ever." And with that, he kissed his future wife once more, and at that moment honestly considered himself the luckiest man on earth.
