The hemoperfusion, in layman's terms, is a process where toxins from blood are filtered through a machine. With Law's ability, they did not need a machine to operate. However, it would have been faster for Stawhats if Law took out the virus itself but he suggested letting Luffy and Nami fight it. The body would remember the virus and will act accordingly as defense unless the virus they caught has evolved.

Days have passed since the hemoperfusion was performed on Nami. Nami's complexion is improving and her appetite started picking up. With good signs of recovery, Law moved the Strawhats to the village for better air and environment and an excuse to hide the ship inside the island.

The island is like a big lagoon. It has a small entrance and it was tricky to pull the ship without getting scratches from the mountain. The villagers and the refugees, who had warmed up to Sanji, helped in hiding the ship and even welcomed other Strawhats like a family. Everyone is happy with the move except Luffy. Since Luffy and Nami were quickly put in isolation, no one noticed Luffy's mood except the doctors and the crew.

"Aren't you happy that Nami-ya is getting better and you too?" Law asked after checking Luffy's condition.

"I am grateful but I need to help my brother free Kuma. I need to be in Dressrosa and meet him there before going to Mariejois together."

"That's reckless. Are you going to fight the celestial dragons and the world government with Big Mom on your tail?"

"We only plan to save Kuma."

"How are you going to do that? Did you personally speak to your brother?"

"We met at Elbaf. He saved Vivi from an ambush and was on his way to their base to protect Vivi when he heard news of me in Wano. He was in a hurry. We didn't talk much. That's all I know."

"I'm pretty sure ports in Dressrosa are heavily guarded. You can stay here a bit until the sky is clear."

"I can't! What if something happened to Sabo?"

"Isn't he from the revolutionary army?"

"I don't know that."

"As an ally, I'm telling you… this is far too dangerous. To save one life over your crew? I doubt your brother will do something reckless without you there."

"Kuma helped us get stronger. Now, it's time for us to help him. Whatever it takes." There was determination in Luffy's voice. Law looked down for a bit and sighed before facing Luffy again.

"Chopper is a good doctor. With proper tools, he could go beyond. We finished making a new vaccine and told Dr. Kureha what to do. We are waiting for the results of the trial. If you could wait a bit more, we could defeat this virus and somehow go back to our normal lives."

Luffy shook his head.

"We will head out once we recover."

"Ok."

2 weeks have passed, Chopper had brought the good news to everyone that Luffy and Nami had tested negative for covid. Everyone rejoiced and celebrated with a feast. Brook set up the festive mood with his music. Zoro helped bring the barrels of beer out. Luffy joined the festivity by doing comical relief with Usopp around the crowd.

Law almost hid himself from the crowd to look for Luffy if it weren't for Zoro who grabbed him and forced to have a drink. Luckily, Luffy joined them with a plate full of meat.

"Oi!" Luffy greeted.

"Hey."

"I'm planning to set sail tomorrow."

"Never thought it would be that soon."

"I want to thank you for everything. Nami and I owe you."

Law shook his head before Luffy could finish his sentence.

"Just come back here without asking for medical treatment." Law smirked and Luffy beamed.

They ate, drank, laughed and danced all night. It was the first fun they had since they set out from Wano.

The next day, the Strawhats are all set for their departure. The villagers and the refugees cried. Luffy thanked them for their hospitality. The Strawhats boarded and finally set sail to Dressrosa to meet Sabo.

In the castle of Drum Island, Dr. Kureha, overlooking through the window, was deep in her thoughts as she tapped her fingers on the documents. The documents, resting on the table, are the requirements needed for licensing the vaccine that Law and Chopper developed. Once the vaccine is approved by the government, they could freely distribute the vaccine and return to their normal life. However, the government was never in their favor from the start.

She looked around to give herself a break. The room is filled with memories of Chopper. She could see Chopper diligently grinding medicinal herbs. Her face relaxed and smiled, reminiscing the novice Chopper and now, he made a vaccine that would fight covid. Hiriluk, Chopper's father figure, would be proud. Then a floating sakura petal caught her eye. It glided and danced towards Chopper's wanted poster. An idea popped in her head then she smiled wickedly.

Dr. Kureha contacted World Economy Newspaper to advertise the vaccine had passed the trials which Morgan excitedly did. It gained a lot of attention from reporters of other newspapers and from nations who would try to make reservations. The government, however, discouraged them from buying as Isshi-100 is not the official developer for the vaccine and has not complied yet to standard procedure which is to have the vaccine licensed.

Dr. Kureha couldn't deny the allegation and apologized. Explaining further that she was just excited to spread the good news. She added that the documents have been submitted and are waiting for government's approval. The government acknowledged the application and promised to give it a priority.

People waited and when they felt that the government had been silent for too long, people demanded answers. The government eased their worries by telling that specialists are studying the documents and checking the quality of the vaccine. It took a while before the vaccine got its approval and it wouldn't have been successful if it weren't for the pressure from the people and threat from the revolutionary army.

Strawhats reached Dressrosa without being discovered by the marines. Viola's clairvoyance and people of Dressrosa helped the Strawhats sneak in. Luffy and Sabo haven't met yet but that's a different story now.
