"Attention Blue Leader. Attention Blue Leader." The PM spoke into the walky talky mike, watching the action on the view screen with everyone in the room, "Return to base, your part is done.
"Attention all ground forces in Tokyo Harbor, Target Ghost Dino G is approaching. Repeat; Ghost Dino is approaching, getting closer and closer." He allowed the military commanders to reply, "Sir, yes sir."
"This isn't gonna end well if our Godzilla doesn't show up." Kamatakura grunted.
"I agree." Ben nodded, sipping some tea. "But however, we're all confident that the big guy saw the phantom and is giving pursuit. Japanese Ghost Defense Stall Plan is to buy time."
Kamatakura became nervous, envisioning a monster royal unfolding in his own city with buildings being decimated, "I just hope it doesn't spill into Tokyo and cause massive damage."
Koschizawa has hacked into the bunker's systems and is listening in on the chat unfolding between the Prime Minister and the others occupying it.
Koschizawa: Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Oh, Tokyo will be destroyed, fools. When it is rebuilt, it will be during my dominion. You're too confident in your own Big G, me? I am confident my Ghost Godzilla will beat Modern Godzilla! HA HA HA!
His screen goes into map mode and there is a beeping sound, Koschizawa sees what is causing the sound and is confused when he sees a glowing G mark on it…
Koschizawa: Huh, oh, nearly forgot about that guy...
As the Japanese troops, tanks, remaining battleships and turrets of Defense Line 2 stood in defensive formation in Tokyo harbor, the spotlights turned on, lighting up the dark night and allowing everyone to see in the dark.
A few souls were shivering at the mere thought of a huge ghostly radioactive dinosaur back from the land of the afterlife to wreck havoc, eventually, the terror revealed itself...
SPLOOSH! The ghostly outline of the 1954 Godzilla's spirit emerged from beneath the ocean, meters from the shore, its menacing roar piercing the not-so silent dark night, "GRAARAARREEEOOOONNNK!"
Every soldier and navy crew member stood in silence, shaking in their boots as they drank in the sight of the beast with its maple-leaf dorsal plates, burnt bumpy and scaly skin, fangs, beady eyes and claws.
"OPEN FIRE!" A fearless soldier shouted. BOOM BOOM BOOM! The guns blazed, lighting up the night as they began firing on the giant beast, the big and small bullets either bouncing off the monster's skin as if he was made of metal or landing in the ocean.
Water splashed and there were massive explosions, Ghost Godzilla, unfazed by the attacks, roared and growled menacingly, echoing through the night and the sounds could be heard in Tokyo by a handful of civilians who had not evacuated earlier that day.
"GYAOOOOOOOOOON!" As the guns ceased fire for the briefest minute to reload, the ghost let out a bellowing roar, fed up with games. It had a city to crush, a world to decimate. The monster made its way towards the harbor, causing waves to rock the boats parked in the bay…
Close by, in Tokyo Harbor, the HMS Winston was rocked and shaken by the rippling waves caused by Ghost Godzilla. There was danger and everyone was scrambling, trying to abandon ship. "LETS GET THE BLOODY HECK OUTTA HERE, BOYS!" Crews yelled, "TSUNAMI!"
One of the ship's occupants was Bill Benton, still in uniform. When he saw the ghostly form of a huge dinosaur aka Ghost Godzilla, he let out a shout, "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?"
"ITS GODZILLA, THE 1954 ONE!" Robert shouted over the sounds of Ghost G's roar and the waves rolling in. "HIS SPIRIT HAS RETURNED TO MENACE THE PLANET STARTING WITH JAPAN! THE SHIP IS GONNA BE WRECKED, BEN. GET TO COVER!"
Knowing that he'd be knocked off if he stayed above deck, Benton raced downstairs below just in time as Ghost Godzilla swam towards the shore, causing a massive wave which rammed the Winston against the harbor.
BAM! The crash caused massive damage to the interior as sparks from cables flew, there were electrical explosions breaking out. Even those still inside lost balance and fell over, even Benton got knocked against the wall. When everything settled, he got to his feet as steam shot forth.
"Luckily I had a hat on my head and I didn't break a ruddy bone." Ben muttered. Then a look of shock crossed his face, "OH NO! THE NUCLEAR CONTROLS!"
Grabbing an identity card, Benton raced to the door leading to the room that contained the controls as alarms blared, signifying that the ship would be going up soon.
Sliding the card into a slider in the passcode device, the doors opened and Benton made his way into the room. Sure enough, the controls of the nuclear missile launch were active. "I GOTTA STOP THE BLOODY MISSILES!" He exclaimed.
Benton looked for the button that would stop the launch, a whole series of buttons on a dashboard. He started to get to work on them, but then… POW, the console exploded in his face.
Luckily again, Benton survived but now he was terrified. If the missile was going to launch, no scratch it, if all missiles in space were going to launch, things were not going to look good and would not end well.
Getting a radio, Benton called up his French counterpart. "Oi, Pasqua. Any issues on the DeGaulle with certain nuclear launch codes."
Pasqua's voice replied on the other end, "You bet monsieur. When that creature attacked, the ship got damaged and the controls were damaged to a point where the nukes are ready to launch and will explode when they hit Tokyo."
Benton's face was full of panic as he set aside the radio, "I have to warn the British Ambassador."
As the guns kept firing upon Ghost Godzilla as he resurfaced, closer than ever. The beast's dorsal plates began glowing with energy, first blue and then orange, finally the phantom fired its atomic beam, turning its head from left to right in order to eliminate its foes in one strike.
KA BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! BOOM BOOM BOOM! The tanks, artillery and battleships exploded, going up in balls of fire.
Ghost Godzilla let out one more roar, nothing could stand in its way of destroying Tokyo now, not noticing defense line 3…
"Well, now we got DL 3 left." The PM grunted, "If only our Godzilla could show up sooner."
Tim came to his side, "Don't worry Mr. Kamatakura, he will make it. We just need more time."
Ben picked up the Mike, "Defense Line 3, you're up."
A Japanese soldier replied on the other end in English, "Roger that."
As the ghostly beast came ashore, the army finished loading up tanks, rockets and artillery tanks, which were already in position, and all hades finally let loose.
BOOM BOOM KA BOOM BAM BOOM BOOM! The guns began firing, gun trucks fired and reloaded fast.
Tanks let loose with their payload of ammo on the target, rockets fired and struck but did no effect. The only effects the attack had was, once Ghost Godzilla came ashore, the phantom ceased movement, obviously enraged that nobody was going to give up on stopping him.
"GRONGK!" The ghost growled, eyes steaming and its body phasing back and forth between solid-physical and ghostly transparent.
Ghost Godzilla advanced forward, preparing to squash the military. But then he stopped, hearing something, a squadron of jet fighters rolling in.
As the jets dive-bombed down to where the creature was, Phantom G's dorsal fins glowed and he raised his head to the sky, mouth open and, KRRRRRSSSHHH, the atomic ray fired and, one by one, the planes exploded in flames.
"Sikshou!" Yano groaned, banging his hand on the table, watching as the giant ghost shot down the planes with its flame breath.
"Bless you." Tim said, offering him a handkerchief, thinking the man had sneezed.
"What? Oh. Thanks." Yano took the handkerchief before properly sneezing since Tim did not interpret him well, comedic huh?
"This is madness. Madness I tells you. I tell you its madness…" PM Kamatakura wailed. "Ah!" Someone exclaimed, watching the screen and seeing something. "Godzilla. Godzilla has come. Our Godzilla."
Everyone in the room was surprised, gathering around to see what the PM's advisor was seeing and amazement came to their faces…
The troops of Defense Line C, desperate to focus on shooting at Ghost Godzilla, were completely caught off guard as the gigantic green and scaly, big purple dorsal plated, crocodile-faced modern day Godzilla emerged from the ocean and set foot on the shore, right behind the monstrous phantom.
Planes were still dive-bombing and blasting Ghost/Phantom G, who had yet to notice his foe, before the spirit shot them down with his nuclear breath, the planes stopped coming but the guns were still blazing…
