A Cop Tale

Chapter 14 - Captive

Unknown Location

Kate Beckett-Castle was coming to consciousness. They had been abducted and then knocked out with an injection to their necks. As she came to, she realized she was tied, arms and feet, to a wooden chair. She hears another voice sounding like it was coming out of sleep and saw Det. Tori Ellis in the chair next to her. She is restrained in a similar fashion.

"Well, Captain, nice to have you and your detective back to the world of the living."

Turning her head to where the voice came from, she confronts none other than Lebron Williams, who she recognized from the photos Espo had shown her. She notices also a tub of ice water in front of her and immediately knows this is an interrogation. She had been introduced to this form of questioning by Vulcan Simmons.

"This is how things are going to work", says Bron, "we are going to ask you questions, and if you answer nicely and honestly, you get a free ride. Refusing to talk, or giving a false answer, gets your head dunked into the tub of ice water in front of you."

"Now Captain, tell me what your detectives have learned about the Simmons gang activity in the neighborhood of its making."

"We don't know anything, our investigation has lead us to nothing."

"Ding, ding, wrong answer."

Kate's head is pushed into the icewater tub and held under until she needs air. She inhales water when she can not longer hold her breath underwater and then is pulled out gagging on the icewater she swallowed and sucking for air."

Tori is next in line, and like Kate, gives a non responsive answer. The questioning and water torture goes on for a while until Bron realizes neither woman is gonna give it up. He takes another route. Pulling out a butterfly knife, he holds it to Tori's throat.

"Tell me what I want or I slit your detective's throat."

"You do that and you lose one source of information and I can assure you I will take the info you want to my grave. Then with both of us gone, how do you explain to your boss that you didn't get the info."

Bron realizes that Kate has him in a no win situation. He needs to find something that will give him the advantage. He releases the knife from Tori's throat and commences to lewdly touch Tori, by feeling her up.

"Maybe we lighten the situation a little by going for some entertainment", he says as his hand goes inside Tori's blouse to grab her breasts.

Kate sees Tori's reaction and the look of terror in her eyes. As women cops, they all realize that sexual aggression against them by male perpetrators is an effective weapon to use.

Kate's mind is going at light speed. She had to stop this questioning before she or Tori are sexually brutalized and they give up the info. She has gone thru this before, but Tori has not. She recalls that Bron is known for molesting his femaie targets before he kills hem. That's it, use that against him!

"You're some big macho man there Bron, forcing a petite cop like Det. Ellis. What's the matter, can't get it up unless you force yourself on a woman."

Bron is angered by Kate's insult to his manhood. He steps into her space and gives her a slap to her jaw resulting in a broken and bleeding lip for Kate.

"See, that's what I mean Bron. You couldn't sweet talk a lady in giving it up if your life depended on it. You have got to use force like all the other boorish men who are like you."

"I'll show you how I treat a lady, take her to the room Snake!"

Before Snake can comply to his order, Kate speaks up.

"I will make you a deal Bron, I will, on my own, join you in bed, if without force, you can make me give it up. Or are you not man enough to do it with a real woman? My husband is a 100 times the man you are and knows how to entertain a woman and treat her to a good time. Think you are any where close to him?"

"That scrawny husband of yours, he is not even in my league. I am way bigger than him."

"It's not your male parts, Bron. It's how you use it. And a man like you has no idea how to use it, particularly with a lady like me."

Bron is now really seeing red. He is livid with angered on the questioning of his manhood.

Precisely the reaction Kate was hoping for.

Bron realizes subconsciously what Kate is doing to him. He intuitively calms down and then tells Kate, "Let me get this straight. You would give in willingly if I can satisfy you more than your husband?"

"Are you man enough for the challenge?"

"Bring it on Detective Kate!"

"Oh you have no idea!", Kate responds seductively, appealing to his male ego.

"Snake, take the young cop here and lock her up in the store room. And Snake, no sampling the goodies."

Bron releases Kate from her binds and takes her to a room. In the room is an en suite bathroom. He reaches into a drawer in the room and pulls out a slinky teddy, thong panties, and a Victoria secret push up bra.

"Okay Detective, take a shower, pretty yourself up, there's some make up in the medicine cabinet. Put on the lingerie and then I will show you what kind of man I am. Remember, if I do you and you are sated, I get the info willingly from you. And if I like it a lot, you may live longer. Maybe I keep you around until I tire of you. In which case, the table is turned and you got to keep me interested or your off to the after life", with that Bron exits the room and Kate hears a slide bolt locking in place on the other side of the bedroom door.

Snake takes Tori to the storage room and handcuffs her with her own cuffs to a heavy metal shelf. But before he leaves, Snake cops a feel. Tori is repulsed by it but doesn't show it, taking strength from the example her Captain had just shown. Her captain had manipulated Bron into stopping the torture they had been inflicting on the two. Captain Castle had made a bold move. Tori knew that the 12th would not stop looking for them, and she saw her Captain's move as delaying tactics to allow time for the 12th to find them. Tori took inspiration in Kate Castle's strength and defiance to their current captivity. Tori would not let the Captain down, Tori would resist in similar fashion. They would find a way out of their current situation.

Tori is cuffed to a steel shelf rack, but it is only her left hand, Tori's right hand is not cuffed. So with that hand, Tori takes a lock pick straight pin from her hair. She had been using it to keep up her hair in a nice bun. Once free of her cuff, she explores the storage room to see what she can use to defend herself and her Captain. But first, she checks her back up handgun. Snake had patted them down and had taken Kate's backup piece from her ankle holster. Tori was wearing knee high boots with a front knee piece flap on each boot that covered her knees. In each flap is a secret pocket, which Snake had not patted down. Most persons would not have thought to look there. In the secret flap of her right boot, she pulls out a small two shot 22 cal deringer. It was a small round for a pistol but when used properly and accurately could give a deadly sting. The deringer was already loaded with two rounds. In her left boot knee flap, she pulls out six additional 22 cal rounds. Eight rounds to defend herself and Kate if they make an escape atempt and need to repel their captors. Tory needed to make each of those rounds count.

Kate inspects the ensuite bath to the room she was placed captive. She needs to find anything she could use to incapacitate Bron. Aside from the lingerie that Bron gave her and the makeup in the medicine cabinet, there is nothing here. Going back to the room she checks the drawers Bron had removed her outfit from. There were only men's clothing, which she assume were Bron's and some other female undergarments which were used. Suddenly, Kate realizes these female articles of dress may well be mementos from Bran's female victims. She releases them immediately with that thought. She continues to look around for something to use as a weapon. There is nothing that comes up. Then she hears a loud knock at the bedroom door.

"Captain Kate, I expect you to be clean and looking pretty in your outfit in twenty minutes", Bron says thru the door, "and when I next enter this room I want to see you sitting on the bed, back leaning against the headboard and arms resting on top of the headboard with your legs crossed, ready to fulfill your challelnge to me."

With those words from Bron, Kate's mind races through what will happen to her when Bron returns. She needs to stall him. She needs to incapacitate him. Kate is certain that the 12th is looking for them, but she must gain time for her people. She returns to the ensuite bathroom and prepares for a night that could turn out to be an event worst than death for her.
