And here we are: the finale. It was a fun ride, wasn't it? I only had the idea, got reintroduced to one of my nostalgic movies, blew it out of the water, and people seem to really like it.

It's good to whip up a fanmake again. Thank you to everyone who read this!

Chapter 13…

"I'm telling you, Soos. We searched all over town. Some panic about monsters, but let's face it, that could mean anything." Dipper said as he and Mabel sat down.

"Did see a kid with green hair, though." Mabel said, "Oh! And a dog that could whistle!"

"Oh, c'mon, dudes. It's Jack Skellington." Soos said, "Dude's usually on the up-and-up. Y'know, when he's not kidnapping Santa Claus."

"Gonna have to face reality, Soos—when it comes to planning, the guy's not all there." Dipper said.

Just outside the Mystery Shack, though, a door opened up. Jack walked through with an eager stride. Just behind him, Legoshi followed with Ben on his shoulders. And right behind them was Fran, carrying Alice in one hand as Miguel and Tulio followed after them, the blonde con man carrying Ariel this time, while Alf barely kept up with them.

Jack made a quick knock on the door in a rhythm that sounded like "This is Halloween".

"Sorry, dude. We're closed today." Soos said from the other side. After a second, the door swung open and Soos eagerly said, "Come in! Come in! Dudes, it's real late! We were expectin' you like DAYS ago. Had a welcome party and everything."

The monsters looked around, seeing the comely tourist trap. They recognized Soos Ramirez, wearing a suit and fez. Next to him were two kids, whose vague similarity made them immediately think "twins".

"You must be Soos." Legoshi said, shaking his hand.

"And you must be the monsters Jack was talking about!" Dipper said, eagerly, as he looked over Fran.

"And you must be kidding. This place is a dump." Alf said, flatly. Fran grunted while giving Alf a withering look, "What? It IS!"

"I'm with the furball on this one. Don't really get 'bringing two worlds together' with this setup." Tulio said.

"Yeah, but with havin' real, serious monsters here? Really could make this thing better!" Soos said, eagerly.

"Won't people be a bit…y'know, freaked out if real monsters are here, though?" Legoshi asked, remembering every experience they had with people figuring out their true nature.

"Unless you drive people insane by looking them in the eye, you won't have to worry about that." Dipper said, flatly.

"Jack explained EVERYTHING, though." Mabel said.

"Yeah, dudes. You've probably been through a lot." Soos said, "So, how 'bout you crash for tonight? Got a lotta stuff to get ready for tomorrow. 'Cuz it's Halloween and all."

Later, the group was resting in the middle of the living room. Ariel stared in fascination at the Fiji mermaid in a glass case while Fran unplugged the TV with a proud expression.

"Conserve electricity." She said as Alf guzzled down some Pitt soda.

"Tomorrow, things're gonna hit into high gear." Dipper said.

"Yeah, you're gonna show what monsters can REALLY do!" Mabel smiled.

"Already got a plan in mind for that, dude. For now, just take it easy." Soos said.

Miguel and Tulio were resting on the couch while Alice was curled up under a blanket. Ben, though, took a can of Pitt and crawled out the window. Legoshi was sitting on the rooftop, looking at the full moon.

"Hey." Ben said as he sat next to him.

"Hey." Legoshi nodded.

"Moon looks nice tonight, doesn't it?" Ben asked, opening a can.

"Always howled at it before. It was when I'd come out and hunt." Legoshi said.

"Now, though?" Ben asked.

"Now, I just wanna look at it." Legoshi said, drinking his soda…somehow.

"Yeah. And I wanted to run away to the circus…now, I'm not sure." Ben said.

"Maybe you should make up with your folks?" Legoshi suggested, "I mean, you were turned into a little imp monster by a clown."

"He did THAT?" Ben asked, shocked, "Uh…could you just never mention that again?"

"Sure." Legoshi chuckled, "So, is this how the human world is like?"

"Yeah…but it's not boring." Ben said, sipping his drink, "When I…IF I get back with the family again? I'll have to leave Oregon."

"Really?" Legoshi asked, "Live nearby?"

"Not exactly." Ben said, "But I could come by and visit now and then!"

"On Halloween?" Legoshi asked.

"On Halloween." Ben nodded, tapping his can to Legoshi's.

"'Cuz we're friends, right?" Legoshi asked.

"Yeah. We are." Ben nodded. The two looked up at the night sky and Legoshi smiled.

It was Halloween and people were flocking to the Mystery Shack. Now that the new Haunted House was shut down, they figured they'd go to the local attraction. Especially with the new attraction.

Dipper, Mabel, Ben, and Alice were taking tickets and money. People flocked around, taking in the exhibits. It seemed much the same…save the new, stuffed props—a snarling wolfman, a vacationing alien, a mermaid who looked only SLIGHTLY less fake than the Fiji mermaid, and some anime-looking monster girl. Most of them were mumbling about how it was a rip-off.

At least there were these two gentlemen providing some entertainment with dice tricks and guitar music.

The door jingled open as Harley Quinn sauntered in.

"Hey, can I have a job application?" she asked, "I got excellent references!"

"Uh…I'm not sure…" Dipper said, looking at Soos.

"Sure, yeah." Soos nodded as he kept looking at his watch.

"WHAT are we waiting for, by the way?" Tulio asked.

"Jack said something about showmanship. And he's the expert." Soos said. At that moment, the sun went down, "OOH! Show's about to start!"

"Ooh, can't wait!" Harley said, sitting on the countertop.

"Ahem! Dudes and dudettes!" Soos said, "The Mystery Shack has had many attractions but this? This is the coolest!"

"Gang! Go for it!" Mabel shouted.

With that cue, the four dropped their positions. The children immediately went 'ooh'.

"Are these costumes?" one boy asked, walking over to Fran.

"No." Fran said, picking up the boy. She recognized the voice as one that came from Jack's crystal. She let him tug at her horn. When it didn't give way, she continued, "I'm Frankenstein. But everyone calls me 'Fran'."

"WOW…" the boy said in amazement. The other children were looking on in amazement.

"Don't worry, they're quite well-behaved." Alice said to the parents, who all looked…edgy.

"Cross my heart!" Alf said…before making a crossing motion on the side of his head.

"Hello! I'm Ariel." Ariel beamed.

"I'm Alf!" Alf nodded.

"But the best guy? He's right here." Ben said, patting Legoshi's arm, "Guaranteed!"

"People mostly call me Legoshi." Legoshi said. The children began getting in close—touching and petting Alf and Legoshi, harmonizing with Ariel, and reacting with amazement as Fran actually took her head off.

Jack and King were watching this unfold from the window.

"Well, I think things'll be JUST fine now." Jack said.

"Yeah, yeah. Still think making them my unholy army of bloody conquest would've been better." King shrugged.

"No, it wouldn't, King. No, it wouldn't." Jack smiled, warmly, "Now, how about we go back to where WE belong?"

"I can't get back to Eda fast enough." King murmured as he and Jack walked back to a door and closed it shut behind them.

"HEY!" Harley shouted, standing up on the counter, "Can't end with this mushy stuff! Ya want this to be a big deal, let's go all out!"

"Uh…" Legoshi asked, looking at his friends.

"Of course!" Ariel beamed.

"Sounds fun!" Fran nodded.

"Heck yeah!" Alf beamed.

"Why most certainly." Alice smiled.

"Yes." Miguel and Tulio nodded, "We'll do that."

Legoshi then looked at Ben, who only gave the thumbs'-up.

"Just try not to make it TOO wild." Dipper said.

"These guys?" Ben asked.

"What would make you think we'd go wild?" Legoshi asked as Mabel pushed a button. Immediately, music began playing.

Harley stood up on the counter as Ariel, Fran, and Alice made their way over. That was when the song began. Harley cupped her ears, Alice pointed to the side, Fran pointed to herself, and Ariel shrugged.

Harley: Hey, boys! Just what was that noise?

Alice: Coming from somewhere over there?

Fran: If it wasn't you and it wasn't me…

Ariel: Then what in the wide, wide world could it be?

Legoshi then let out a loud howl.

Harley, Alice, Fran, and Ariel: You want to scream and shout…

And jump right outta your skin!

The four hopped around as Miguel began strumming his guitar next to them. Legoshi, Ben, Alf, and Tulio walked by, howling to emphasize.

Harley, Alice, Fran, and Ariel: Don't be cryin' out loud!

Come on and take my hand

And you will understand…

Ariel gave Miguel a kiss on the lips. Miguel's eyes bugged out as he gave a toothy grin.

Miguel: Oh baby!

Harley, Alice, Fran, and Ariel: Everything's gonna be alright!

Don't cha be afraid when things go bump in the night!

Get closer to me and baby hold on tight!

'Cuz everything's…

Gonna be alright!

For their part of the song, Legoshi, Ben, Alf, and Tulio got up, lying around and looking casual. Ben waved at Alice, Tulio gave a brushing motion, Alf shoved a whole hot dog into his mouth, but Legoshi nodded.

Ben: Hey, girls, we don't wanna rock your world,

But we don't believe in that mean ol' Boogeyman!

Tulio: Because there's no such thing…

Alf: No how, no way, nowhere!

Legoshi: But sometimes, late at night,

We still get a little scared.

At the last line, the four guys huddled close, looking worried. At that point, the four girls let out a howl.

Ben, Tulio, Alf, and Legoshi: You want to scream and shout…

And jump right outta your skins!

The four hopped away as Harley cupped her hands and howled as loud as she could.

Ben, Tulio, Alf, and Legoshi: Don't be cryin' out loud!

Come on and take my hand

And you will understand…

Fran: Oh baby!

All Eight: Everything's gonna be alright!

Don't 'cha be afraid when things go bump in the night!

Get closer to me and baby hold on tight!

'Cuz everything's gonna be alright!

At that point, the whole shack broke out into exuberant dance. Alice was teaching Ben to do a proper waltz. He was clumsy, but was smiling broadly at this.

Everything's gonna be alright!

Don't cha be afraid when things go bump in the night!

Miguel was doing a mock dance with Ariel as they spun and laughed all the while.

Get closer to me and baby hold on tight!

'Cuz everything's gonna be alright!

Fran danced with Alf, easily hoisting the alien off his feet and spinning him around in midair.

Everything's gonna be alright!

Don't cha be afraid when things go bump in the night!

Legoshi, meanwhile, danced with the much-smaller Mabel as she ran and skipped around the gangly werewolf.

Get closer to me and baby hold on tight!

'Cuz everything's gonna be alright!

Harley and Tulio were back at the counter, tapping the wood with the beat. Tulio got a text from someone whose number was labeled as "Chel". Harley felt a something in her hair. She plucked it out—a card that read "Joker". With a disdainful look, she tossed it aside.

Mabel led Legoshi to the middle of the room and the werewolf struck a pose.

"Everything's gonna be alright!" he concluded, a broad smile on his face.

And, finally, everything had worked out just fine. The monsters were working out the great plot of mine. Because, after that day, nothing was ever quite the same. People now knew the monsters by their name. And I liked those creatures, though it got out of hand. The alien, mermaid, creature, and that wolf man.

So, many years later, I decided to drop in. And I found Tulio and Chel and one Harley Quinn. Business was booming at the Mystery Shack, to no surprise. All of the new revenue got Mr. Ramirez to resize. And inside, there was Alf eating all they could serve right next Fran, demanding the energy they conserve. As well as Miguel and Ariel with four children in hand, and Ben kissing Alice, visiting from distant Eng-land.

But the one I sought out was Legoshi, the wolfman, now head of their now musical monster band. And I asked him "Do you remember the night when the sky was so dark and the moon shone so bright? When four savage monsters all had a drink and found they suddenly could speak and think? And would, if you could, turn that mighty clock back to that one fateful night…think carefully, Legoshi, would you do the whole thing over again, knowing what you know now and knowing what you knew then?"

And he smiled, looking at his friend like no werewolf would do. Then turned and asked softly of me…

"Wouldn't YOU?"

The End
