Tori
Life at Camp Half-Blood was crazy for Tori. After a few days, Annabeth, Percy and Thalia had left so she was on her own to make friends. She has some great siblings, her best friend being one of her sisters, Kayla. They sing songs together and actually had a lot in common despite Kayla being several years older than her. Tori made friends with a bunch of girls from the Aphrodite and Demeter cabins as well.
Despite Tori having so much fun, there was still an aching hole in her heart where her family used to be. Trina was the most annoying person she knew but they were sisters and Tori found herself actually missing Trina.
"Chiron?" Tori went up to him one day after archery (which she was found to be very good at). "Will I ever see my family again?"
"Of course. This is just a summer camp for you. Some of the demigods, such as children of the Big Three, can't go into the mortal world too often because their smell is stronger. You are free to go home for the winter if you wish. But staying here is always an option. I do recommend staying here a few months before going home, even though it is winter, to get training in. Now that you know you're a demigod, your scent is stronger," Chiron explained. "Although… I have some bad news. They had to use the Mist on everyone at your school."
"Meaning what?" Tori questioned, having an idea but not wanting to accept it.
"No one remembers who you are except your family," Chiron said hesitantly and looked sympathetically at Tori. "I'm sorry about your friends. Being a demigod is a terrible fate." Tori was almost in tears.
"How about we call your family? Let's go into my office and I'll let you use my computer to call anyone you want," Chiron offered. Tori nodded and let him lead her into the Big House.
"Andre first, then my parents. Best to get the harder one out of the way," Tori said and let Chiron set it up.
Andre picked up. "Tori! Where have you been?"
Tori was shocked. "Wait. You know who I am?"
Andre frowned. "Of course we do."
"Who's we?"
Beck entered the camera view. "Me. What is going on, Tor? No one knows who you are."
Tori hesitated. She figured she wasn't allowed to tell them anything. "I got a great opportunity in New York and had to take it."
Beck frowned. "Without saying goodbye?"
"It was sorta urgent. I didn't even know I was leaving until yesterday."
"You went with Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia didn't you?" Andre cut in.
Tori looked like she'd been hit by a truck. "Wait, what? I- I'll be right back." She ran off to find Chiron, leaving Andre staring at a pile of Chiron's old CD's.
"Chiron!" Tori called and soon heard hoofsteps.
"What is it?"
"Two of my friends, Andre and Beck, remember everything," Tori said frantically. "How-?"
"They must be able to see through the Mist," Chiron stated. "It is a very rare ability that not even all demigods possess. Our Oracle, Rachel, possesses this ability and she is mortal."
Tori thought about that for a moment. "So what should I tell them?" Suddenly, Tori felt a burning in her chest and everything went dark.
"Sorry about the pain, sweetheart. I had to knock you out somehow," a sweet voice said from somewhere near Tori. She opened her eyes to be met with the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. But Tori couldn't tell what this woman looked like. She was just… beautiful. That was it. There was no reason. It was just a fact.
Tori looked around to find that there was nothing. Literally nothing. Everything was white except her herself and two people sitting beside her. Tori sat up and was greeted by a familiar face sitting beside the woman.
"Apollo?" Tori asked. "What is going on? Who are you?"
"I am Aphrodite. I'm sure you know who I am." Tori shook her head and Aphrodite looked offended.
"I can't believe schools aren't teaching our methods anymore! She has never even heard of me!" Aphrodite exclaimed to Apollo. "Anyway, child. We are here to discuss your friends."
"Beck and Andre?" Tori asked. Aphrodite nodded.
"They have each had a blessing from one of us. I blessed Andre as a baby and Aphrodite did the same for Beck," Apollo chimed in.
"Is that why they weren't affected by the Mist?" Tori asked.
"Yes. They were under our protection," Aphrodite said in a light voice.
"But I still can't tell them about Camp," Tori said, disappointed.
"Yes. You may tell them. But just know, if they tell anyone else about your secret, the gods will be handling them." Excitement swelled inside of Tori's chest. She didn't have to lose all of her friends!
Aphrodite smiled. "You may go now, child." The white room and the two gods faded and Tori was back in the Big House. But now she was lying on the couch.
"She's awake!" her half brother, Will, exclaimed. Tori began getting up, still bursting with excitement, but Will stopped her.
"You are not going anywhere. You need rest," he said.
"No, Will. I feel fine! I need-"
"I don't care what you need. You passed out for no reason. No matter what you say, you are not fine."
"Will-"
"No!"
"Just listen to me!" Tori yelled and Will finally gave in. "Two gods just gave me permission to talk to my friends so LET ME GO!" Will sighed and let her get up.
Andre
After waiting for about 10 minutes, Andre was done. He and Beck were walking to Beck's house together.
"Where did she go?" Andre questioned no one in particular. Beck shook his head.
"Chiron! You left your computer on!" someone yelled. Then a woman walked into the camera's view. She looked to be in her twenties, and had messy brown hair and ever-changing eyes. Her clothes were worn and didn't really match. Despite all of that, she was still the most beautiful girl Andre or Beck had ever seen.
"That's okay. I need to call my dad anyway," she muttered and sat down in front of the camera. She was just about to end the call when she noticed Andre and Beck, who had now reached Beck's house and were sitting in his camper.
"Oh. Who are you?" she questioned.
"I'm A-Andre and this is Beck," Andre said, stuttering slightly. The girl scrunched her eyebrows.
"Who were you talking to? I'm guessing it wasn't Chiron."
"Um, Tori. Do you know where she is?" Beck spoke up.
Piper raised her eyebrows. "Ohh the new girl. Uh, yeah. She passed out like 10 minutes ago." Both Andre's and Beck's eyes widened.
"She's fine now. She woke back up," the girl assured them just as Tori came scrambling into the room.
"Oh, hey, Piper," Tori said, a little out of breath.
Piper raised an eyebrow. "I'm surprised Will let you go."
"I practically had to fight him," Tori laughed.
"Well, here are your friends back," Piper said, laughing.
"Do you need to call someone?"
"I'll wait. It's okay," Piper assured her.
Tori smiled. "Okay, thanks. I'll wait to talk to my family until after you're done then." Piper smiled back and left the room.
"So you're telling me," Beck started. "The only reason I have this hair is because of a stupid goddess?" Tori rolled her eyes. "I could've gone my entire life without having to deal with this stupid mop if it weren't for her!"
"That's waz," Andre commented. "And your father gave me my talent?"
"You need to get back here. Jade doesn't even remember you and thinks she runs the school," Beck said bitterly.
"Are you guys fighting again?" Tori asked hesitantly.
" Always."
"I'll be back in a couple of months. Chiron says I need to train since I might get attacked. Something about my scent being stronger now that I know."
Piper popped her head into the doorway. "That is correct." Tori whipped her head around. "Sorry! I wasn't eavesdropping!" Piper's voice got all high as she pulled her head out of the doorway.
Tori heard the bell ring on the boys' side. "I can't really call you that often because we aren't really allowed to use electronics but I'll be fine, guys! I think you can handle a few months without me." Tori smiled and ended the call, letting Piper take over. She stepped out of the Big House and started heading to archery. She was going to miss those guys.
