Mandy went back to the hotel. She was really sad. A half hour later John walked through the door.
"Hi." He said.
"Hi." She said sadly.
"You told him huh?"
"Yeah."
"How did it go?" He asked sitting down next to her.
"Terribly."
"I'm sorry."
"I thought after I told him I would feel better, I feel worse."
"What did he say?"
"He said that I was only thinking about myself and I just didn't want his baby." "Then he left."
"That's not true." "Even now, all these years later, I see the pain it caused you and how difficult it was for you."
"It really was."
"I know."
"What I always felt good about was despite everything Randy and I were still friends." "Now I don't think we'll ever be friends again."
"Sure you will." "He just needs time to cool off, that's all."
"I don't think I'm gonna go tonight." "I don't feel up to it."
"Ok." He kissed her forehead. "It's ok."
John was getting ready to leave for the arena.
"I'm leaving." John said.
"Are you coming right back after?"
"Yeah."
"I'll wait for you then."
"Ok." They kissed. "I love you."
"I love you too." He left.
A half hour later there was a knock at the door. Mandy went to the door.
"Who is it?" She asked.
"Delivery." A man's voice said from the other side of the door. She opened the door. A man was standing there holding a bouquet of roses, a brown teddy bear and a box of candy. "Mandy Cena?"
"Yes."
"For you."
She took all the things and went inside. She took the card out of the roses and opened it. It read.

John spotted Randy in catering and went over to him. He could tell he was angry.
"Tell me you didn't know." Randy said.
"Mandy told me two months ago."
"And you didn't tell me?"
"It wasn't my place to tell you."
"I thought you were my friend."
"I am." "I'm the one who encouraged Mandy to tell you in the first place."
"Both of you were just thinking about yourselves." "You're just as selfish as she is."
"She's not selfish." "Getting that abortion was the hardest thing she's ever done." "She still feels terrible about it."
"Both of you stay away from me." He walked away.
