Vanessa POV

I wake up as I feel someone playing with my hair. I smile as I recognise who is playing with it. I look up at the Crystal blue eyes that are staring at me, a warm smile plastered across his face. "Please don't wake me up if this a dream." I mumble as I put my head on his bare chest. Zac chuckles. "Oh believe me, it's not a dream." I giggle. "I believe you." Zac smiles. "You ready for today?" His soft voice tickles as he whispers. I moan and bury my face in his hard, sculptured chest. His chest vibrates as he laughs. "Hiding in my chest won't help you, Ness, you should know that by now." I moan louder. "Van, come on. We need to get up now." Zac says. "Noooo, you're so comfy." I whine. Zac sighs dramatically before tickling at my ribs, my most ticklish spot ever. I squeal and jump out of bed like it's on fire. Zac sits up laughing his ass off. "That's the most easiest way to get you out of bed ever!" He exclaims, rolling out of bed just in pj pants. Zac runs at me and throws me over his shoulder before running out of my room.

"Zac!" I squeal as he runs into the living room where his parents and brother are. Zac stops running for a second. "Are you ready to start the day?" He teases. As if, this funny. "Nope." Zac gets a grin on his face. He drops me in Dylan's lap. "Keep her there, I'll be back in a sec." Dylan happily does what he's told. Dylan securely wraps his arms around me. I lean into the younger brother and sigh happily. "I've missed you, little brother." I snuggle into his neck. Dylan aw's. "I've missed you too, big sis." I look at his parents who are smiling at us. "How are you guys doing?" I ask politely. Mrs. Efron smiles. "We're fine, baby girl." Wow, I haven't heard that in a long time. How did they take the news of my and Zac's miscarriage? "Are you guys mad?" I ask quietly so Zac doesn't hear. Mrs. Efron takes my hand. "Van, we're not mad at you guys, we're just sorry that we couldn't do anything to help you." I nod, on the verge of saying something when I feel something freezing go over me. It was ice cold water and ice cubes. I let out an ear splitting scream. "ZACHARY DAVID ALEXANDER EFRON!" I scream, scrambling off Dylan and seeing Zac holding an empty cooler in his hands, laughing his pretty ass off. He sees me angry and takes off running, muttering an 'oh crap' under his breath. I run after him, chasing him outside into the back yard. He runs so fast that he doesn't know that he's just stepped in Shadow's poop until I stop running and start laughing so hard that I can't breathe. Zac raises his eyebrows as he turns around to look at me. "What are you laughing at?" I'm bright red that I can't answer him verbally so I point to the grass then to him and then to his foot. Zac's eyes widen as he looks at the bottom of his foot and sees it. "You've got to be kidding me!" I shake my head at him as he swears. He wipes his foot on the grass before hopping inside on one foot to clean it properly.

Zac POV

I can't believe that I stepped in doggy doo and Van didn't warn me, but then again it might've been revenge for pouring cold and ice all over her. I hop into the house and see Dad standing at the sink with a wet towel. "Dad, toss me that towel quick!" I call out in a rush. Dad turns around with confusion written on his face. "Why?" Has he just asked me that? Can't he see that I have doggy doo on my foot?! "I've just stepped in doggy doo!" Dylan erupts into laughter from the couch. "Hahahahaha!" His laugh echoes throughout the house. Dad throws me the towel and I wipe my foot.

After my foot is clean, I walk back outside into the garden to see Van. She's sitting on her sun lounger, staring at the pool, looking deep in thought. I sit next to her gently so I don't startle her but she looks at me anyway. "Hey." She whispers and leans her head on my shoulder. "Are you okay?" I say, rubbing my hands up and down her arms to warm her up. She's thinking about something that must be bugging her. "I guess so." That isn't a real answer. "Van, what's the real answer?" Van sighs but doesn't answer. I know I'll have to press for answers and it'll make her pissed. "Vanessa, what is wrong?" I say sternly. Van snaps her head up and looks at me, a frown on her face. "I'm fine!" She snaps before getting up and walking into the house. I watch her walk into the house, not knowing why she's acting like this all of a sudden. I need to know why before I go into rehab, I also need to tell her when I'm going which will make be angry with me.
