The following weeks got from bad to worse. Batman went missing. And so did Nightwing, Oracle, Red Robin, and even Superman! All of them, gone! No one was expecting this to happen. I was terrified when I heard the news. The entire Justice League called out a meeting in their tower and the Titans were invited to join. Alfred joined in on the meeting via Zoom and even Jon's mother Ms. Lane. The person who was in charge of the meeting was Wonder Woman herself.
"I believe we all know why we all are here. Two of our beloved friends have been missing since two days ago." said Wonder Woman.
"It has to be that kid! That Robin! That brat Jason!" cried Hawkman, who was raising his arm angrily. His wife patted his back to calm him down. Everyone in the room nodded their heads, agreeing with Hawkman.
"Why must this happen now? Especially when we are dealing with Darkseid's release from prison?!" asked one of the Green Lanterns. Some guy named Guy Rider or something like that.
"Calm down everyone." spoke the voice of J'hon. Or Martian Manhunter as he is known. He spoke with authority and with a deep voice. He too was one of the founding members of the League.
"We all know what is at stake. But Superman and Batman are the heart of our League. Without them, we may as well depart. However, this is what we must do. The Teen Titans should search all over their respective cities while we search far and wide for our friends. This Jason was well trained by Batman himself, and it is extremely likely that he managed to hide him under our radar." said Manhunter.
Everyone murmured in the room and Beast Boy spoke out. "We are running out of time! We should look for them now! Why are we having a committee?!" he cried out!
"The green one is right! Why are we sitting here talking while Batman, Superman and the other heroes are suffering at this very moment!" cried out Hawkman.
Jon began to cry and rested his head on my shoulder. I had no choice but to simply pat his back. Louis watched from her computer screen and placed her hand to it, as if to reach for Jon. I nodded at her and she smiled at me. She knew Jon was in good hands while he was with me and Alfred. Even he was startled and wanted to do something.
"We are having this committee because it was an order from Batman and Superman. They knew something like this would happen one day, and there is a procedure to doing this. As J'hon mentioned, the Titans will search in Jump City, Metropolis and Star City. The rest of us will sour around the world. It is likely that Jason could have taken them both to different locations." said Wonder Woman.
"Please! As if that scrawny Robin wannabe is capable of hiding two superpowered heroes under our noses." said Constantine, a mentor of Raven's.
"The problem here is that Batman and the others do not have powers. They are human. Oracle is wheelchair bound for example. Time is very critical." said Wonder Woman.
"I don't know about you all, but I'll take to the skies to find them." said Hawkman as he rose up with his wife.
"Then let us all go in peace and find our friends! Once we do, bring them back here for treatment!" commanded Wonder Woman. Everyone in the room either flew, vanished into some portal or simply walked out the door. It was heartwarming to see so many people put their part in searching for our parents. But Jon was a mess. He was crying very loudly as we left the room. I don't know what was happening to me. I hated seeing Jon cry. I didn't know why at the time. Perhaps since he was always cheerful, seeing him sad was just not right. I pulled out a tissue and handed it to him.
"Don't cry too loudly now. Your Superman's son. It's embarrissing to see the prince of Krypton cry like this." I said.
Jon dried away his tears and then we both heard a stern yet calming voice behind us. "Jonny."
Jon turned around and saw his older brother Conner standing there. He looked an awful lot like Superman, minus the haircut. He had short hair, but he had a kind face. He was wearing his iconic black tshirt and brown leather jacket. Jon ran up to him and hugged him tightly. Conner got to his level and kissed his forhead.
"I know. I heard the news. I'm sorry I'm so late. The whole Darkseid thing has been postponed again. I was given free time to come home." said Conner.
"Conner, Dad is missing." said Jon.
"Don't worry. I'll try to track him down. I have my ways." said Conner.
Watching them both there reminded me of Nightwing and Tim. Depsite Jason's crazy ideas for vengance, I realized they never stooped so low. I knew now that I too wanted to put my heart and soul in finding my friends. No, my family.
