SOD: Day 2. Tomorrow is the legendary day~.
Andrew: So how many chapters are you uploading on your birthday?
SOD: That's a secret.
Andrew: ... Really -_-
SOD: Well yeah. I've been a fanfic author for over a year and I've never done this before so I may as well keep it a secret. You'll know when you get the notifications, my dear kohai~.
A/N: Lemme know what you all think of the chapter and see ya tomorrow!
Taking the key out of the knob, they enter. Yujiro immediately walking past it with Relon close behind. Around the corner an down a hall, they come to an open door. Peeking inside, they see around two dozen kids of varying ages in a room full of beds. Some as young as five and others in their early double digits with two seeming to be Repon's age. All socializing and playing.
(They haven't noticed us.)
(Good. Let 'em be for now.) Yujiro continues on as Relon follows.
Walking down a corridor, they come to a set of stairs with a door at the top. A wheelchair at the bottom.
"Isn't this..."
"Yeah. It is. Come on, Cecily should be up there."
Mister...
Reaching the top, the can barely hear a voice from the other side. Yujiro knocks, the voice halting.
Giving out a snicker, he opens the door.
"I'm back- Ahh!" Before Relon can make sense of anything, a staff hits Yujiro square in the gut shooting him off his feet and down the stairs crashing into the wall.
"Your greetings are always nice." Yujiro groans slowly getting up. "That's going to leave a mark."
"When I told you to give me a heads up the next time you'd be stopping by, I meant it." A woman states having walked to the edge of the staircase next to Relon. "And I see you brought the guest of honor with you."
Gulping, Relon can only utter one thing.
"Aunt Cecily...?" The woman blinks a few times before she smiles.
"Hey Yujiro, seems like it does sound good coming from him."
Relon looks to see the man finally up groaning.
"Great... Just great. And is throwing the closest weapon anyway to treat your brother."
"It was either that or the pike later on." She flatly states for Yujiro to sigh.
"Good to see you too. Relon. Your Aunt. Cecily. The kid."
Taking a look at the woman before him, he checks her out. She's wearing denim overalls overtop what seems like a yellow long sleeve blouse. She has navy blue hair with a small portion pointing outwards behind each ear and navy blue eyes.
"Nice to meet you, Aunt Cecily. We apologize for the intrusion." Relon bows.
"And you said he didn't have manners! Yujiro, you liar." She glares at the man below.
"He's just acting!"
"Mister, whatever do you mean?" Relon asks with a tilt of his head.
"Oh you son of a-
"We have children, you dang sailor." Cecily sighs walking over to a bed where a girl lays.
"Jeez, what did I do to deserve this?" Yujiro mutters reaching the top placing the staff against the wall.
"Maybe you should have given her a notice like I mentioned." Relon answers to get a glare from the man.
"Oh, now you're acting like yourself."
It was pretty obvious I wasn't in the first place." Relon responds going over to Aunt Cecily.
Stopping next to the seated woman, he takes sight of a young girl around the age of 8. She has long silvery-white hair seeming to go past her back from what he can see. She's wearing a simple lavender dress.
"Alright, Reta, you're in peak condition again today." Cecily notifies with a happy tone.
This seems to brighten the girl as she gives a smile of her own.
"Norowareta, this is Relon. He'll be staying with us for a while. Relon, this is Norowareta. Most of the kids and I just call her Reta for short. She's our latest family member."
"Nice to meet you, Norowareta." Relon nods to the girl who returns the gesture. "And the big man is my brother. He may look scary but don't worry, he's a big softie towards kids."
"Do you really have to introduce me like that?"
"Did you really have to come back unannounced again?"
"Alright, alright, I'm sorry, jeez."
Relon and Reta exchange a look smiling at the other.
"Now then, let's head back down, shall we? The kids have been waiting to meet you, Relon. They also missed you Yujiro."
Relon watches the young girl raise up her arms, Cecily picking the girl up bridal style for his mind to go back to the wheelchair they passed.
She can't walk...
Following them down, Cecily places the young girl in the wheelchair before the four head back to where the children were.
"We're back and we brought guests." Cecily announces rolling Reta in with the two behind.
"Reta! Mr. Yujiro!" All of the kids exclaim rushing around the group.
"Hey there!" Yujiro laughs lifting two kids up onto his shoulders. "Y'all certainly have grown over the year."
"Wait, who are you?" A young girl asks pointing to Relon.
"I'm Relon." He answers squatting to eye level. "What's your name?" Though he asks, his question goes unanswered as the little girl's eyes along with the other kids goes wide.
"You're Relon?!" He jolts back up looking as all of the kids exclaim gathering around the boy who slowly nods.
"Dang, kid is even more popular than me."
"What exactly did you tell them about me?" Relon question lookin at the dozens of eyes.
"Just stories of our travels. That stuff."
"They always get excited over someone their age." Cecily notes with a chuckle.
"Is it true that you went to Legram to train?"
"Is that your sword?"
"Can you really use fire?" On that, Relon snaps to Yujiro.
"What? Kids are fascinated by that stuff."
Sighing, Relon escorts Reta over to one of the tables as the kids follow. Sitting down, he begins to present himself. Something the boy has grown used to.
"Does he have to do this often?"
"Ohhhh, so much."
The Next Day - Noon
"Alright, we're heading out." Yujiro announces as he and Relon stand at the door.
"Don't be gone too long. Dinner will be ready in a few hours." Cecily calls from the main room where all the kids are.
"Roger!" Relon responds, the two departing.
"It's a little after noon so no need to rush." Yujiro comments as they take off at a walk.
Exiting the city, they walk along the trail. The highway monsters not giving the two fighters the time of day. Before long, they pass a cabin walking up a slope before coming to a large gate.
Pulling out a key, Yujiro unlocks it and they head in.
"Is it just me or does it seem slightly darker in here? If I didn't know what time it was, I'd think it's dusk."
"Look up."
Listening to the man, he looks up to see the canopy blocking much of the sunlight.
"Huh. That explains that." Just as the teen finishes his sentence, he notices Yujiro walk ahead of him. "What are you-
Before he can ask the question, Yujiro releases a large amount of power. That add aura returning as Relon can only watch as seconds later, he ceases the action.
"Well now, someone seems used to my power."
"Compared to the first time, I've witnessed it enough to become used to such a force. Can't really say my own power is even a comparison yet." Both begin to walk through the forest.
"Give it time. It takes years to become as strong as I or any of the others are. Hard work is the only way. There are no short cuts. Except when there's magic involved."
"Magic is a powerful thing, huh?"
"Yes it is. Met someone who could use magic back in my school days."
"Really? What happened?"
"Had to kill them." Relon immediately stops on a small bridge over a stream.
"You... killed them?" Yujiro stops on the other side.
"It was either Cecily and I die or they die. At the time, we along with Vic and Teo had gone there for a small field trip. You could even call it a vacation with no school work involved. An incident occurred and the four of us decided to split up. Teo and Vic check the South side of the city and Cecily along with myself the North. We ended up finding the perpetrator and a fight ensued. The bastard kept teleporting so we couldn't land a solid blow. It wasn't until Cecily almost died that I realized apprehending the criminal was impossible. So we stopped holding back. Eventually, Cecily destroyed the guy's staff and I dealt the final blow."
"... I never would have guessed..."
"Relon." The boy looks up to the man having turned fully. "At some point in your life, you may have to make a decision between apprehending or killing. That man was my first kill and sadly not the last. What I'm saying is if you ever have to take one's life, steel yourself so you won't grieve like I did. You've been lucky to only kill animals and knock the rest out." Yujiro finishes walking further into the park. "When the time does come, don't hesitate."
Steel myself... if I have to kill? And when the time does come...
Shaking the nausea inducing thought out, he catches up to Yujiro, the two eventually stopping in a large clearing.
"Why did we stop?"
"The old man's grave is further back but before we head there..."
Relon raises his head feeling heat signatures all around them for dozens of ape-like monsters to surround them.
"We have to be greeted by the welcoming committee." He finishes with a grin.
"Ape monsters... There are the ones you told me about, right?"
"Yep." With that answer, the ground begins to tremble. "And here comes the big guys."
"Wait, big guys?!"
Looking ahead, from around the corner comes two huge baboons taller than most home structures. Coming to a halt, Relon takes in their appearances. Although both are the same size, one has dark brown and green fur with shoulder mounds and broken off horns while the other has all grey and white fur indicating its older age alongside it older-looking appearance.
"I thought there was only one lord of the forest?"
"There was. And last time I came here, all of a sudden there was another. Don't ask me how that happened because I couldn't even tell ya in all honesty. I just call the new one Grunoja. It doesn't seem to mind." The beast separate allowing the two through. Walking to where the large monsters came from, they come to a small area with a grave at the center.
Both get onto their knees giving a small prayer before standing.
"Hey grandpa. I'm glad we can finally meet. Mister's done a great job at raising me. Even if he wasn't there for two years." Relon chuckles to extend his fist to the grave. "Watch me, Grandpa. I'm going to make you both proud."
Simply looking at the boy next to him, Yujiro gives a proud smile. Soon, they depart back into the large area. The beasts awaiting their return.
"So what now?"
"We got about two hours to train before we have to get back. Let's get to it."
"So what are going to do? Do you want to spar with my new form?"
"Not today. That'll come later in the week." He motions for a ape to come to them. "What we're going to be doing is teaching you how to communicate with beasts."
"You mentioned body language having to do with it right?"
"Correct. Not just yours, but in this case the monster's as well." Yujiro moves away as both face each other.
"First things first; understanding what the other is saying." At his words, the ape gives a hoot smacking the ground making Relon jump. "What do you think its saying?"
"I would say it's angry." Relon answers cautiously eyeing the beast.
"Right you are. Now how would you respond?"
"Act calm?"
"Wrong!" He shouts making Relon jump once more. "First assert dominance."
"How exactly?"
"Body language."
He's being too vague. Uncle Vic and Klaus weren't like this.
"Alright..." He faces the upset ape.
Taking a step forward, Relon grips his hands as he glares at the ape, the monster slamming the ground inching closer.
This isn't working? Then...
"
Heat begins to expel as Relon hardens his glare on the monster taking a step forward lifting a fist full of flames.
"Last chance. Stand. Down." His tone seeming to do the trick as the ape calms down setting into a reserved manner.
"Nice job. Now approach it."
Doing so, he stops before the monster, the ape simply staring at Relon.
"... Friends?" Relon extends a fist.
The monster eyes it before slowly copying the gesture.
"How's that for a first start?"
"Not bad. Ready for the next?"
Hours Later
"My body aches." Relon groans, the two now walking along the path back to Celdic. "Why would you order them to jump me? And I could only use my martial arts too?! Pippin nearly lost it."
"That's how I trained and like I've said; I'm simply preparing you for whatever your future holds. Who knows. You may end up stumbling upon a beast you won't have to fight. You can thank me later once it happens."
"I'm sure." They take sight of the city coming into view along with a bustling commotion. "Is that coming from the market?"
"Yeah. Around this time, everyone is over there getting dinner ingredients since the market lowers the prices slightly. Lucky for us, we get discounts on everything."
"How come?"
"A combination of saving the town and running an orphanage. Remember?"
"Oh. You make a good point."
"Don't I-
"No. No you do not always." Relon deadpans earning a chuckle from the man.
"Ouch. What time is it...?" Yujiro glances at the sun. We still have a few minutes to kill. Wanna check out the market since we didn't have time before?"
"Sure. I'm kinda excited after reading about it."
"Good. Because I got some info to gather."
"Concerning Senate?"
"Yeah. The market is a hotspot for information with all the travelers that go through and tonight sounds like juicy amount waiting to be gathered."
Senate... An organization whose motives remain unknown. Twice they've attempted to capture members of the royal family. I doubt they'll try again so soon. But what if they do? No, I shouldn't think like that. Alfin is under Claire's watch. Now that I think about it, today was her first official day. Hope her and Musse didn't get into to much trouble.
All of a sudden, he feels a slight bump regaining from Yujiro.
"You just love spacing out, don't you?"
"Sorry, some stuff came to mind."
"Does it relate to a blonde princess and a blue-haired officer?"
"Er... Shut up." The boy mutters earning a snicker from the man.
"Alright, I'll just leave you alone." He laughs walking off. "Hey, Chip!" He waves to one of the food stalls.
Jeez. He can be troublesome more than sometimes. How did Aunt Cecily deal with him for so long?
Shaking the thought away, Relon walks though the bustling crowd glancing at all the food stalls.
Is it like this everyday.
"Relon?"
Hearing someone call his name, said boy looks over to see the other two teens from the orphanage. A girl the same age as him with short pink hair and red eyes and a boy with silver hair and gold eyes.
"Blaze? Silver? What are you two doing here?"
"Ms. Cecily was running low on some ingredients so we were willing to go out for her." Blaze explains.
"Oh, that's nice. I'll help out."
"You don't have to." Silver states.
"Silver, stop being rude!"
"What?! I'm just saying."
"It's fine. I don't mind helping, guys."
"Really? Thanks! You can get these." She shows him the list before they split up.
About 15 minutes pass before they meet back up.
"Alright, that's everything." Blaze cheers.
"Thanks a lot, Relon."
"Anytime. Let's get going."
"But what about Mr. Yujiro?"
"He's busy with some personal errands. He shouldn't be too much longer." With that, they both head back.
"We're back and Relon is with us!" Blaze announces as they enter the kitchen setting the ingredients down.
"Thanks again you two. And Relon, how did training go?"
"I don't know. Good if you call fighting off a bunch of apes at once I guess."
"That sounds about like the training Yujiro is famous for. Speaking of which, where exactly is my brother?"
"He's... taking care of some important business believe it or not."
"Ah. I see. Well, since you're both here, you can help us out."
"Right!"
And so, Relon, Cecily, and the other teens finished preparing just as Yujiro returned. Sitting next to Norowareta, Relon ate with the other kids telling more stories of his adventures as the two adults looked on happily.
"Ahh, that was a good dinner. Nothing beats a homecooked meal." Yujiro lets out a happy sigh, the two having gone out for some nighttime air. "You were the one that cooked the meatloaf, right? One of those books taught you how to I'm guessing?"
"Yeah. Back in the palace, the chefs would often let me and Alfin cook when I came back from training. Honestly, I was too tired most of the time but I couldn't say no to Alfin, now could I?"
"You kids, I swear. Be real, you stopped thinking of her as a princess a while ago. If anything, you two share a similar relationship to Cecily and myself."
"Well, she did call me brother on rare occasions... Hey Mister." Relon calls taking a seat on the bench.
"What's up?"
"How would you describe love?" The question causing the man to look back with a questionable look.
"What makes you ask that?"
"It's just that..." Relon begins but struggles to find the right words.
Come on, just bring up the topic of calling him Mister and not Dad. Just say it!
"Well...?"
"Uh... I've just been thinking..."
Come on. Almost there.
"About?"
"Whhhhhat did you find out at the market!"
You are the epidemy of a failure, Relon.
"Okay, let me help you out. What do you really want to ask that you're struggling with?" Yujiro chuckles sitting next to the boy.
"That obvious?"
"Kid, body language says a lot."
"Beast training. More handy than I thought."
"Not beast training. Just that obvious. So what's eating you up?"
"... Mister?"
"Uh huh?"
"Tell me the differences of love." He asks looking straight at the man.
"Does this have to do with that officer you were smooching with?"
"We weren't smooching!" He defends, his face as red as a tomato.
"I just... I know I have to learn through experience and being basically with you all my life, there are things I'm still not fully comprehending. Things that books can't teach me."
"Hmm."
"Mister?"
Looking up at the night sky, he speaks.
"You plan on going, don't you?" Relon's mouth opens slightly to close for only a nod to come in response.
"Does it bother you?" Relon asks.
"No. Something told me after hearing so much about Thors, you'd want to go."
"Oh..."
"Still, that means we got about three more years together before you're off."
"But I still need to do the entrance exam."
"Do you honestly think that'll be a challenge for you?"
"Hell, you could take it now and probably get in."
"Really?"
"You're a smart kid. Plus, you're capable of taking care of yourself so I have no doubt you'd excel. But, now knowing this, that means these next three years are going to be the most grueling years you've ever experienced. Within these three years, I'll also show you experiences you've yet to witness. You better be ready cause I ain't going easy on you no more!"
"Mister..." Relon taken aback gets to his feet, a determined grin on his face. "Right!"
"Gotta make my boy look good for the next time you see that Claire girl." Yujiro grins as their serious conversation takes a turn for the worst. At least, for Relon. "Now, let's get that talk about love taken care of." He rests an arm around Relon.
From an open window floors up lies Cecily having watched the whole scene. Turning away, she goes to a shelf where a picture frame lies. In it, it shows her and Yujiro along with their father, Minato Namikaze.
"It seems he's already decided to carry on the lineage, father." She glances down to a drawer pulling out a pair of gloves seeming to be made of crystal. "And he may need his gift earlier than anticipated. But first, to save him the grueling explanation of love from my brother."
For that entire month, every night after everything was said and done, Yujiro and Cecily would argue with each other while explaining emotions to Relon.
One Month Later
Having awoken, Relon quickly became accustomed to the daily routine. Breakfast, chores, training, dinner, sleep. Whenever it came work around the house, Relon would always assist Norowareta. The two having grown close though Relon couldn't place why he became so fond of her. Then again, he didn't care. All he cared for was Norowareta. Simple as that.
As for training, Yujiro kept his word. Aside from learning the Beasts' language, he began sparring against beasts as many as 10 at once and like before, he couldn't use Pippin or his flames. Quickly, he learned that colliding fists with apes that also knew martial arts hurt. A lot. Quickly opting to either transform for more strength or simply counter.
Now, Relon never felt the need for a lunch but today he was having just that. Because today was the start of his training with Cecily. Something he hadn't seen coming.
Finishing, he bid the other orphans farewell before heading out to where Cecily was supposed to be. Sure enough, there she was alongside Yujiro.
"Ready?" Yujiro asks.
"Yeah."
"Alright. Let's go."
The three walk onto the road and Relon quickly becomes confused as they go behind the orphanage to see a door.
"What's that?" Cecily turns around to him.
"Our training room." She opens the door as the three descend a long staircase.
After what feels like minutes, they reach the bottom to see only the pitch blackness. Feeling for a switch, Cecily flips it as the lights come on revealing a dojo. Eyeing the new room, they three head into the back to take sight of a wall full of weapons from orbal guns to bow and arrows including the the pike mentioned.
"Whoa..."
"Seems you added a few new once since last time."
"They don't call me the Weapon Collector for nothing." She grins for Relon to snap his head to the woman.
"Wait, you're the Weapon Collector?! The woman with mastery over any weapon she touches?!"
"Correction; I only have mastery over weapons I've trained with. Being those you see here."
"Wait. Yellow Flash. Wandering Beast. And now the Weapon Collector. You're all famous!" Relon exclaims the obvious.
"Yes. Both father and Thors helped with that. That is one reason you're going, right?"
"You knew?" She nods.
"Being a Namikaze means you're representing us and father so you better be ready."
"A Namikaze? But-
"Just because your name isn't actually Namikaze doesn't mean you aren't one. You became a Namikaze the moment my brother decided to take you."
"Oh, so that works huh..." He mutters to himself.
Relon Namikaze-Lucinance. Relon Lucinance-Namikaze. No, the prior sounds better.
A smile graces his face as the two adults look on guessing what he's thinking.
"Alright, first things first; get this out of the way." Yujiro states, he and Cecily reaching into their pockets and pulling out a glove each tossing them to Relon.
"What are these?" He questions examining the pair.
"Those are your new gloves curtesy of yours truly. Happy belated birthday, Relon. I know it's rather late but what kind of aunt would I be if I didn't get my only nephew a gift?" He looks up towards the smiling woman.
"Thank you so much, Aunt Cecily. I don't know what else to say." He bows.
"He definitely is more polite like father than you, Yujiro. I'm amazed considering you raised him."
"Tch, there you go again. Comparing people." He rolls his eyes. "Anyway, consider those your official weapons. Since your body type and fighting style is much different and especially taking in to account some of the brute strength you lack, these will make up for that."
Placing the crystal gloves on, he flexes his fingers.
"They're made of black zemurian ore. Practically the hardest crystal there is. It was tough to make but Yujiro insisted so I worked my blacksmith magic."
"Tough enough to stop weapons with just your bare hands!" Yujiro smiles cheekily.
"Wait, so I could grab a sword and it wouldn't slice my hand in two?"
"Yup."
"Zemurian is the most rarest element throughout the Zemuria continent. As such, it can withstand practically anything. That includes your fire." This causing Relon to widen his eyes.
"Really? Considering I burned up the one of the gloves back in Heimdallr, these will really be a lifesaver. When can we start?"
"Right now. I'll be responsible for teaching you how to deal with other weapons. Including orbal guns. You never know when you may end up using one."
"Roger!"
Now standing away from the woman wielding a bow and arrow, Relon readies himself.
"Pippin, let's go!" Relon gets into a stance as the sword flies out of it's sheathe and to his side.
"Two on one, hm? Very well, show me what you two can do!" With that proclamation, the duo dashes towards the woman.
Conjuring heat, Relon makes a fist to throw dozens of cinders, Cecily remaining stationary retaliates by firing multiple arrows through the cinders that would hit her to dodge a punch from the boy and backflipping a swing of the sword. Stopping the flip, she fires a single arrow at Relon. Recovering, he turns to backfist the arrow away followed by releasing of a flamethrower.
Landing, Cecily, rolls out of the way running from the following flames. Readying another, she aims it.
"Frost Arrow!" She fires as the arrows sails through the flame for Relon to roll out of the way keeping his sight on the woman.
Firing another, Pippin moves on the defensive slashing it. Moving forward, Relon dashing off directly towards Cecily who remains idle firing arrow after arrow. Countering with punches and kicks, Relon continues forward to jump as she fires another.
The thing about archers is that they need both distance and time to reload!
He brings his enflamed fist down as Cecily swings her bow for the two to collide.
"Not bad! But is that all you can do?" She wonders.
"No, this is!" He retorts, the flames increasing as Cecily takes note parrying the boy and dodging the sneak attack by Pippin.
"Almost. Though, with your fighting style, that sneak attack was obvious."
"Just because it's obvious doesn't mean you can always dodge." He retorts getting to his feet.
"True. But you know, we have a little under four years so getting stronger means going all out. Are you sure you want to waste time fighting like this?" She discards her boy and arrow to now wield her pike.
"Fair point. Although..." Pippin goes to his hand as the air around Relon becomes noticeable hotter before exploding, markings forming alongside a red aura as his eyes become slits. "You might get burned!"
"I'm sure I can handle the heat."
Both eyes the other as they lower into a stance before disappearing at the blink of an eye. Only the sounds of clinging metal rings as Yujiro can only chuckle.
(Those two are so enjoying this. Damn, now I want to get in on the fun.)
"Crescent Strike!"
"Grand Strike!"
Both collide as the force pushes the two back.
"Tired yet?"
"Are you kidding? I haven't had such a thrilling fight since I had to fight a drunk Yujiro!"
"Hey, I apologized!"
"True, but at least when drunk, you didn't hold back."
"Thank goodness he hasn't gotten drunk with me around."
"I'm a responsible adult, damnit!" Yujiro defends.
"You are but you want to know what would make you more responsible?"
"What?"
"Being responsible for making me stronger than you were at the age of 17. So why not get in here. Aunt Cecily seems to be struggling a little." Relon grins the Yujiro grin.
"Oh? Is that so? Maybe I should step it up!" An odd blue aura surrounds the woman.
"Alright kid, you're about to deal with the Namikaze siblings! Think you can handle it, do ya?" Yujiro cracks his knuckles as the dark aura Relon has become used to surrounds the man. "Time to put your mira where you mouth is!" He snarls.
"Time we both stopped holding back as well! Let's go, Pippin! Ablaze!" Tossing his partner to his right hand while his left burns bright in fire, the heat around him expands. "Bring it!"
What can only be described as pure carnage would come as the result of the three's "sparring match."
That Night
"Ouch. Muscles. Hurt. Arms. Ache." He slowly lays in bed as Pippin lays next to him.
"Those two obliterated us. Yet, I feel stronger than when we started. Though I don't think I can use anymore fire for a while, haha. I'm all burnt out."
"Relon." A young, quiet, voice calls.
Lifting up, he looks to see Norowareta rolling up to him with something on her lap.
"Oh, Noro. Hey, what's that you got there?" Relon greets with her new nickname they came up with some time ago.
Stopping next to him, she hands him a basket.
"For me?" She nods. "Thanks. Did you work on this all on your own?" Another small nod.
Opening it, he finds sugar cookies inside. Taking a bite, he's shocked by the softness yet flavoring.
"These are prefect, Norowareta! Did you make these by yourself?" A nod and smile comes in response. "Here." He hands her one to her surprise. "You made them so it's only fair that you have some as well." He takes a bite of another before placing the basket to where both can reach.
"Was it tough?" He looks to her as she nibbles on the cookie.
"Aunt Cecily and Mister? Yeah, tougher than anything I've dealt with before but... I enjoyed it." She looks up. "Growing strong to protect those I care about is something I could never hate. Aunt Cecily, Mister, my friends, the other kids here, and now you. I'm growing strong to protect all of you so yeah, it'll be tough, but I'll get tougher." He grins, the girls eyes gleaming at his brilliant confidence.
"Relon, good luck!" She cheers slightly louder than her normal voice.
"Hehe, thanks for the support, Norowareta. It means a lot." He pats her head, the duo enjoying their bonding moment to the fullest.
From outisde the room lies Yujiro leaning against the wall and Cecily next to him before they begin to walk away.
"I have to hand it to him, Reta has only been here for six months and already she's opened up to him more than any of the others."
"He's one of a kind, after all."
"Aren't we all, Yujiro?"
"True dat, sis. Now that he's gotten the gloves, he has those, his sword, and his fire, we can focus on the boy himself."
"Three different offensive options to choose from excluding that transformation of his."
"Now it's time we improve all three to the best of his abilities within the coming years."
"You mentioned it being hard to say goodbye the last time. What will you do this time when he's the one to leave." Both stop.
"Who knows. Maybe pick back up on my title as the Wandering Beast. Info about Senate is out there and someone has to look into it." He finishes walking once again.
"Yujiro..." Cecily turns back in the direction of Relon and Norowareta.
In the coming times ahead, I hope we can all survive.
