"Sophia Castillo. I'm assuming you remember us, I mean it's only been a few days."

"Yeah. What do you two want? I already told you I worked for Hoyt."

"I need to know if you've had any communication at all from Hoyt. One of the detectives that helped capture him has been kidnapped. I know what he does to people he kidnaps. He's gotten me twice."

"How in the hell do you think he can kidnap someone from prison? Unless he escaped again. I doubt he did he's only been in custody for a couple of days. I don't even know where he is."

"He's in California, Sophia. He's still in custody. Do you know anyone that would do this for him? He's got a young detective that is like a little sister to me. I need to know who may have her. Do you know anyone, anyone at all that may have her?"

"Look Sophia, I'm a Boston Detective, but I can talk to the Manhattan ADA, I can tell him you were cooperative, maybe I can get you something, I don't know what, but we really need your help."

"What can you get me? An extra jumpsuit?"

"Sophia, please, Detective Tamin is young. She's got her whole life ahead of her. We want to find her. How long have you known Hoyt? I know you served in the military together, any other relationship you two have? Other friends?", Amanda is trying to find a way to ask without directly asking if Hoyt fathered a baby with her.

Jane has an idea, she pulls Amanda aside. "I don't like this woman anymore than you do. Let me plead with her. I'm willing to give up something if I can get some info. Will you back my up?"

"Sure. I just want to find Kat."

"Okay, Sophia. I'm a Boston Detective. I do have a decent relationship with the Manhattan ADA, the one that filed the charges against you. I know you haven't had your day in court yet, but if you cooperate with us and answer our questions, I will put in a good word for you with him."

Rollins nods in agreement, "So will I."

"I'm going out on a limb here. I shouldn't do anything nice for you, considering you tried to kill my best friend, but I know you were under the spell of Hoyt. What did he promise you?"

"How do I know you'll keep your word?"

"Excuse me, guard, can I get a piece of paper and a pen, please?"

The guard brings Jane a piece of paper and a pen. She writes:

I, Jane Rizzoli, will let Manhattan ADA Carisi know that Sophia Castillo was cooperative in answering my questions regarding her and Charles Hoyt. Nothing she tells me will be used against her or result in additional charges.

Jane signs the document. Amanda adds her name and signature to the page.

"Ok. I guess I can trust you. Honestly, I've never been in trouble before. I'm just trying not to make things worse for myself."

"I understand, Sophia. So, what did he promise you?"

"He promised me money. I was about to lose my house. It was my parents home. He said that he'd pay my mortgage company. I had no idea he had been in prison let alone escaped. I was desperate."

"Okay. So, how often had you communicated with him since your time together in the military?"

"We saw each other twice since we got out, prior to this. Once was about 2 years after we came home and again about 3 years after that. Then I got a letter from him and we started talking. I didn't see him until 2 days before you guys arrested me."

"Sophia, I do appreciate your help. I really do. Did he tell you why he wanted you to drug and kill Dr. Isles?"

"He told me that he was trying to get back at someone and that the woman in the hospital was that persons best friend. So, I guess he was trying to get back at you?

"Yes, he was. He and I have a long history. You see these scars on my hands? Hoyt did that to me. He stabbed my hands with scalpels."

"Wow. He really is a different person than the one I knew years ago."

"So, he promised you money. Do you know if he actually had the money? Was he working with someone else that might have had access to the cash?"

"I don't know. He did talk to someone at some point. I heard him on the phone saying that he was counting on him. I don't know the context or anything."

"Okay, so, you never had an intimate relationship with Charles Hoyt?"

"No. Not at all. He's a little odd and not my type."

"This part is really important. I really hope you tell me the truth. So far I do think you've been honest with us, and I hope that continues. Can you tell us some of your medical history? Any surgeries? Broken bones? Things like that."

"Okay... I had my tonsils out at 8. Broke my right arm at 10, bike accident. I had a complete hysterectomy 2 years ago. That's it."

"Thanks. Do you have any siblings?"

"No, I'm an only child. My dad passed away 10 years ago, my mom passed way 6 years ago."

"No children?"

"No ma'am."

"Thanks, Sophia. That helps. This next part is very important. If you think of anything at all, please be in touch with us. All you have to do is tell a guard that you need to see that warden. The warden knows that we're still working this case."

"Okay. I will. "You're Jane, pointing to Jane, "And you're Amanda", pointing to her.

"Yes, that's correct." Jane calls the guard over, "Is there any way we can get a copy of this paper while we're here?"

He gets someone to make a copy. A couple minutes later he brings two copies and the original. Jane has Sophia sign and initial each page. She keeps one and tells Sophia that she is going to give one to the warden for her file and the original goes to the ADA.

Amanda stands first, "Thank you, Sophia. I really appreciate your help. We really need to find Detective Tamin, so please let us know if you think of anything."

"Yes, thank you. We appreciate it."

"Oh, and Jane, please tell Dr. Isles that I'm incredibly sorry. I was desperate."

"I will tell her."

"I do hope she's healing nicely. I'm so sorry."

"Thank you Sophia. I do understand desperation."

A guard takes Sophia back to her cell and Jane and Amanda go to the warden's office. They tell him she was cooperative and ask him to put the paper in her file. They all know it's not worth anything but it eased Sophia's mind.

Rollins and Jane get in the car. "Jane, do you mind? Can I see your hands?

Jane holds out her hands for Amanda to see. I remember you holding them up when you briefed us the first time, but I didn't notice how bad it was. You also said you had a burn scar, from a flare, right?"

"Yeah. Those suckers get hot!." Jane opens her collar enough to show that scar.

"He's a sick fuck, isn't he. Why isn't he dead?"

"I had the chance and didn't take it. I wanted him to suffer. Now I regret not killing him."

They head back to SVU. When they get there they inform everyone that Sophia was cooperative, but a dead end. Jane goes in to see Maura. Elizabeth is asleep on the couch. "Hey Maur. How are you holding up?"

"I'm okay. Tired. Elizabeth has been asleep for about 30 minutes. She's a very smart girl. Psychology major at NYU. Wants to be a therapist. What was the lead you guys chased down. Get anything?"

"We went and saw Sophia Castillo."

"The nurse?"

"Yeah. She didn't know anything. She was desperate. Hoyt promised her money. She was about to lose her parents house. She showed genuine remorse. She asked how you were healing and said that she was 'incredibly sorry' and asked me to tell you that."

"She's not trying to get out of the charges by playing dumb or anything is she?"

"No. I did tell her that if she was cooperative and answered my questions I would let the ADA know."

"And she answered all my questions and seemed very honest. I really think she was desperate. She did hear Hoyt talking to someone on the phone but she didn't know who it was."

"Maybe she'll remember something."

"I hope so. I made sure she knew how to get a hold of both me and Rollins. Maur, we need to find Kat. I just don't know what to do without a lead. We need to find out who Hoyt's son is."

"What? A son? When did this happen?"

"Sorry, we found out right before I left to go see Sophia. Come with me, I'll let you listen to the enhanced recording of the call that Frost has."

They walk over the the desk Frost is at, "Barry, can you please play that recording for me?" He looks at Jane. "Don't look at her. I asked to hear it. Play it for me."

Jane nods at Frost to play the recording.

"Jane, how did none of us know that he had a son? Is it a biological son or just someone that he called son?"

"We don't know. That explains the comment, 'He's too far away to do it, but yet, he's not.' We need another phone call. Without that I don't think we have anything."

"I think you're right. Olivia, Amanda, Finn... any suggestions? When Hoyt was holding Maura he found a way to get my attention with a burned out flare. Can you think of any place that someone might leave us a clue?"

"I have an idea, let me go get Elizabeth."

Maura brings Elizabeth out the the squad room, she asks, "How can I help?"

"We need to see if someone is waiting for us to be out so that they will leave us a clue. The guy behind this kidnapping is very calculated. He is tricky. When you and Kat were talking did she mention any places that she likes to hang out?"

"She works a lot. When she's not here she's either at home, the coffee shop, the gym or the little bar on the corner near where she lives. We talked about the charm of neighborhood bars."

"Olivia, how do you want to play this? We need to see if we can get another burned out flare."

"Okay, Elizabeth and Maura go to the coffee shop. Rollins and Jane go to the bar. Finn, go to the gym. I'll be with Frost in a surveillance van. Wires on everyone."
