Now that Seth knows the whole Truth about Sasha and Roman, the Shield have a very difficult decision to make. With the New Year just around the corner, DX do everything they can to stop things from getting out of control.
Chapter Twelve – Fire & Rescue
The Ortons, Manhattan, New York City, NY
Trish Stratus looked at her cell-phone, she had a missed call from Amy "Lita" Michaels. She said Shawn and Hunter were coming over to talk about the fire and some other stuff. Jeff Hardy called Amy and told her that Stephanie was a mess but that he was comforting her about losing their hotel in New York.
"Here comes the chaos, Lord send Your peace," Trish prayed to herself before turning her attention back to the distressed mother of the Reigns household.
Galina had indeed set the Enigmatic Hotel in New York City on fire but it was Dean Ambrose that gave her the match. Galina, who had never smoked a day in her life, was so stressed out by the revelation that her husband had fathered an outside kid, that she said she needed a cigarette.
Earlier that day...
Dean took Roman's wife outside and they went for a smoke.
Minutes before the fire, Galina poured her heart out to Dean Ambrose. She told Dean that she had reached the end of her marital rope and that she couldn't stay married to Roman anymore. Dean listened to everything she had to say while smoking; the pain of being cheated on, the pain of getting through the return of Roman's cancer and now finally, the pain of Roman fathering another woman's baby. It was all just too much and Galina had decided to walk out on her husband. But before she did that, she wanted to send New York a little message.
New York was the place where it all fell down for her; it was the place Roman cheated on her with Sasha Banks and now it was the place where her marriage to Roman would officially end. She needed more than that though, she needed a symbol of her wrecked life to be burned into her mind for the rest of the year and that image was granted when she lit that cigarette. She took one final drag and looked at Dean Ambrose with a wicked smile of satisfaction.
"In honour of Seth Rollins," she said, "I'm burning this whole place down,"
Dean didn't even try to stop her. He eyed a trash can in the parking lot entrance to the hotel and nodded towards it.
"Go ahead, burn it down but I guarantee you, this is not the end of your marriage. Galina, I've known you for over a decade and I know how much you love Roman. This might be the end of the Enigmatic Hotel but it is not the end of your life with Roman, you two love each other way too much," Dean Ambrose said and he held the door to the hotel entrance open for her, "be my guest,"
Galina cried tears from a heavy breaking heart, "I can't believe he did this to me again Dean. I deserve so much better than this and so does Seth. He's crazy for staying married to that blue-haired witch, she's going to make his life a living Hell. I'm worth it, my children are worth it but she is not and I hope he comes to his senses and drops her like I'm about to drop this cigarette in the trash," she said adamantly and she did just that. As the flames started to rise Dean Ambrose took Galina by the shoulder and led her away from the hotel as it started to burn down.
Now Trish was staring into the eyes of a woman that had been to Hell and back with her husband and if the Truth got out about what happened at the Enigmatic Hotel, Galina would be going away for a very long time. Right now all that mattered was that she was in her right state of mind.
"I've never felt crazier in my life," she told Trish. "I feel like my feet have been shackled to Roman and I've been dragging myself through this marriage all year long. Am I wrong? Is there something I could have done to change his decisions? Why is this happening to me Trish? I did everything right; I stood by his side when he was sick, I forgave him when he cheated on me with that b* Sasha Banks and he humiliates me and our children by getting that tramp pregnant. This whole thing is insane!"
Trish nodded and she squeezed Galina's arm supportively, "I know you're in pain right now but you can't let what happened between your husband and Sasha make you bitter. You are a wonderful woman and an amazing wife and mother. Don't let what happened change that," Trish said and Galina pursed her lips angrily.
"I'll be there for my children but I will not be there for his. Let Sasha raise that child, I just feel sorry for Seth. Imagine planning to see the birth of your firstborn son only to find out it belongs to another man, a man who is supposed to be his brother? I can't believe he's staying with Sasha after what she did. Dean and I spoke about it and we both agree that Seth should get out now before he loses anymore time. He's still young and I always thought he was kinda cute; he can re-marry a woman who Truly deserves him. All Sasha deserves is a slap right to the face!" Galina said maliciously and Trish had to stop her from saying another word.
"Why wouldn't Sasha deserve the same grace that you gave your husband when he screwed her? We all make mistakes Galina and we all deserve to be punished for those mistakes. Isn't it better to be happy that Seth is staying with his wife rather than hoping she falls from grace? We all need someone like Seth in our lives; someone who will stick by us no matter what, especially when you're feeling as low as Sasha does right now. She didn't know she was having Roman's baby and I don't want to get into the whole unprotected sex thing because it was a moment of passion, fuelled by pain more than pleasure and you know that. It was no ordinary affair," Trish said and Galina frowned at Randy's wife anxiously.
"No ordinary affair? What are you talking about?" Galina asked Trish fearfully. "Are you taking Roman and Sasha's side?!"
"No Galina I'm not taking anyone's side. I'm the Truth: Trish Stratus, I see the Truth before it even happens and my Gift makes me totally neutral. What I'm saying is, this was always going to happen. Adultery is a sin and sin has a cost and that cost is usually painful. Roman and Sasha will have a reminder of that cost for the rest of their lives and it is something they have to go through. You can either make it better for them, or you can make it worse, there's more than enough pain to go around in this situation, you just have to decide just how much pain you can handle," Trish explained.
"Not much more," Galina said through teary eyes and she broke down in tears, "I love Roman, he's my best friend and he betrayed me. Now I know how Seth feels when he found out that Roman slept with the woman of his dreams before he did. I don't want to be the person who makes a bad situation worse but I lit a hotel on fire Trish, I'm tired of doing the right thing. I want to be as bad as I feel,"
Trish sighed knowing where this was going, "Galina I told you not to throw away your reputation because of this. This is not the time to get revenge on your husband, he's already hurting. I know this might be hard to believe, but Roman is just as torn up over this as you are. He was so happy that you didn't leave him after he told you he slept with Sasha, there is nothing he wouldn't do to make your marriage work. The Boss got pregnant but think about how low Roman was, how dark things were at the time that the affair happened. It wasn't a good time in any of your lives, this is not the happy ending any of you wanted but it could still end well! In four months a beautiful baby boy is going to be born and what better way to turn this situation into a happy one than by focussing on the new life that's going to come into this world next year? You could either see Roman's son as a reminder of his infidelity, or you can see it as an opportunity to make an unwanted child feel like a prince because that's how God feels about every child that is born, whether they were wanted or not," Trish said and Galina nodded.
"You are good," she said with a smile appreciating Trish's good counsel, "you made my belly flip,"
Galina asked Trish to pray for her which Trish did. Galina wanted to know if she could be cool with Roman having another woman's baby, if she could be cool with another woman having a claim to Roman's legacy through his illegitimate son. She wanted to know if she could stay married to Roman now that she knew this big secret. After Trish prayed for her, Galina knew the answer and the answer was no, she couldn't.
Trish nodded and gave Galina a sober look and the Truth gave her some additional news based on her decision to leave Roman, "I'm sorry that you've decided to leave your husband but I have some news you must know before you leave New York today,"
"What news?" Galina asked furrowing her brow.
"If the Truth comes out about what happened to the Enigmatic Hotel, you will be charged with arson and you will be going to jail, which means you will lose custody of your four children, unless you plead insanity and the basis of what you found out about Roman and Sasha. We both know though, that you were in your sound mind when you started that fire and on top of that, you had an accomplice in Dean Ambrose, who would also go to prison for helping you set the hotel on fire. The only person that could possibly get you out of going to prison is your husband, so I suggest you ask God again before you decide to leave him," Trish told Galina but Roman's wife shrugged haplessly.
"I don't even care, they can lock me up Mrs Orton. I'd rather be in prison with some other pissed off broads than locked in a house, married to a man who ruined our family and had a baby by another woman," Galina replied and she left to find Dean and Seth and Trish rested her head on her kitchen counter with a deep sigh.
"Seth why did you let Bianca hang out with Becky Lynch last night? This could have all been avoided if Bianca had been with you at Miguel's with her husband. The Man is nothing but trouble and trouble is the last thing the DX family needs right now," Trish said and she walked out to the front of her house and waited for the DX family to arrive. Seth had screwed up again and this time, the consequences would be dire.
Trish and Randy's bedroom
Seth held his head in his hands in disbelief at what Bianca Belair told him about the hotel fire.
"We should have had the meeting somewhere else, Galina should have been nowhere near that place. We should have waited until after we left New York to tell her," Seth said and Bianca played with her Braid and checked her phone for messages from Becky Lynch. She wanted to make sure Becky got home okay, wherever home was these days for the Man.
"Hey!" Bianca cried out as Seth snatched her cell phone and put it in his pocket. "I was using that,"
"I need you to focus right now Bianca," Seth said and he started pacing back and forth in Randy and Trish's beautiful blue and white bedroom. "I am in serious trouble and I need you to get me out of it,"
Bianca frowned, "Why are you in trouble?" she asked Seth and he came over to her and she could tell from his eyes that he was serious.
"Because I let you hang out with Becky last night when you should have been hanging out with me. If you had been with me God would have told you not to let me hold a meeting at the Enigmatic Hotel, then the fire wouldn't have got started and Galina and Ambrose wouldn't be guilty of arson. You're my responsibility and I let you have fun and now ATM and the DX family are going to tear through me," Seth said and Bianca shook her head.
"No they're not. Seth, you just found out your wife is having another man's baby. If anything, Amy, Trish, Hunter and Shawn are going to console you. You're the good guy here Seth, plus it was Amy and Shawn's idea for me and my husband to spend more time together, you just agree with them. This whole thing is not on you. Seth, how can you even think that you're going to get the blame for what happened today?" Bianca said and Seth smiled at Bianca.
"Well when you put it like that, I think I'll just shut my mouth," Seth said. "See, this is why I need you around, you put things in perspective and you stop me from saying and thinking the wrong things."
Seth sat next to Bianca on Trish and Randy's ottoman, "I'm glad you got to spend time with your husband. Montez loves you so much," he told Bianca and she gave him a cheeky smile.
"I know, he told me that several times all over New York City. Our marriage is on fire!" Bianca said.
"So is mine," Seth said remembering his love-making with Sasha last night in an actual bed, "Roman's is ice cold, there must be something I can do to help him," Seth said and Bianca stood up like a shot.
"You can't help Roman!" she admonished Seth, "That dude is messed up, how could he have unprotected sex with a woman? Do you know how dangerous that is? No offense to Sasha but, Roman could have taken something back to his wife and infected her with it. What Roman did was careless, it was stupid and you don't need to help him do nuthin'!"
Seth shook his head at Bianca's terrible grammar, "I want what's best for everyone and that includes him. It would be in everyone's best interest if Roman and Galina stay together. Roman can't be single, Galina's the love of his life," Seth explained. "There's a lot you don't know about Roman, there's a lot of history there and it would be a shame if this baby came between them,"
Bianca continued to shake her head in disagreement, "Seth, I'm a tell you straight – that marriage is over. Roman betrayed Galina's trust, not once but twice! What he did was nasty, straight up nasty! I still can't believe it, do you know how cheap condoms are?! All the dude had to do was reach into his pocket, pull out a twenty dollar bill and buy some. But oh no, he wanted to be nasty and do Sasha raw. It makes my skin crawl just thinking about how she got pregnant. I respect you trying to help him but Roman is beyond help at this point Seth. The man is nasty, straight up nasty,"
Seth sighed contemplating Bianca's words, "Or maybe my wife is the one who's nasty," he said and Bianca raised her eyebrow cautiously.
"Don't be trashing your pregnant wife behind her back Seth, go get her if you think she's nasty and tell her she's nasty to her face," Bianca said but Seth shook his head.
"I can't tell her she's nasty, she's having a baby in four months. I'm a put all my comments about my wife on hold and then I'm a cut loose. I've got so much I want to say to her but it can wait, Sasha's mental health and the wellbeing of the baby is more important than my need to vent," Seth said and Bianca squeezed his shoulder supportively.
"You really are a good person Seth but you need to vent. If you got something you want to say about this whole messed up situation, vent it to me. I can't tell anyone anyway; I'm sworn to secrecy remember? So tell me, why is your wife the nasty one and not Roman?" Bianca asked.
Seth felt his face flush red as his True feelings about Roman and Sasha came to the surface. "Okay Bianca, I'll tell you how I feel. You're right, maybe I shouldn't keep this stuff bottled up for four months, so here goes," he said taking a deep breath but Bianca put her fingers on his lips to stop him from talking.
"Hold on one sec Seth," she said and she walked over to Trish's closet and banged on the door. "Bayley, get your Black Heart outta there!" she yelled and she opened the closet to reveal Bayley sitting down with her diary in hand and a beautiful pair of Prada shoes on her feet.
Seth got up in shock, he couldn't believe Bayley was eavesdropping on his conversation with Bianca. His revulsion of her dropped to an all time low and he decided not to say another word until she was gone.
"Get out," he said angrily and he noticed the shoes on her feet, they were Sasha's. "Why are you still wearing my wife's shoes?!"
"Because, unlike us, we're friends Seth and I like wearing them," Bayley said as Seth glanced down at the crochet black boot heels from Prada. "They look damn good on me don't they?" she asked Bianca but the Braid wasn't amused. She looked at Bayley's diary.
"How much have you written down?" she asked Bayley.
"I heard everything but don't worry; I won't share it, at least, not until after the trial," Bayley said and Seth dropped his head back and sighed.
"What trial?" Bianca asked Bayley.
"The trial that Galina and Dean Ambrose are going to have when Stephanie McMahon charges them with arson. It'll be quite the spectacle, it's a good thing I'll have a nice pair of shoes to wear," Bayley said and Bianca reached for the diary but Bayley tried to run away from her. Bianca eventually tore the diary from Bayley's hands much to the raven haired beauty's distress. "That's mine, give it back!"
"You can't have it back until I've torn out all the references to our private conversation," Bianca said.
"Fine keep it, I'll just tell Rocky what I heard. I'm sure he'll be incensed when he finds out what Roman caused his wife and best friend to do to Steph and Jeff's hotel. There's a family rift that I'm sure nobody will expect, it could cause further problems and I think we can all agree that Roman's got enough of those," Bayley said. "Unlike you Bianca, I am not sworn to secrecy. Now, you either let me stay and listen to what you and Seth have to say, or I tell my boyfriend every word about how that fire got started at the Enigmatic Hotel," Bayley said.
"You are such a b," Seth said disparagingly and he shoved Bayley back into the closet as she wept like a child over what Seth called her. "I am really starting to hate that woman,"
Bianca shook her head in shock, "I can't believe you said the b word, Seth you never say the b word!"
Seth nodded; Bayley had finally driven him over the edge of politeness. Just the idea of Bayley wearing his wife's Prada and acting like she was still Sasha's friend grated on his Born Again spirit.
"I shouldn't have called her that, I need to repent, then we're going to talk and I don't care if Bayley hears what I have to say. All that matters is that you hear what I have to say," Seth said and he squeezed Bianca's arm affectionately, "you're the only person whose opinion actually matters in this room, Bayley doesn't mean a thing to me anymore,"
Bianca hugged Seth and patted him on the back and after Seth repented for calling Bayley a female dog, he told Bianca exactly how he felt about Sasha and the sobbing Bayley heard every word.
