The Super-plane

(Skipper's POV)

We were speeding away from Africa and were flying across the Mediterranean towards our European Vacation. Hula doll was on the dash bobbing happily as we flew towards our Gambling spree in Monte Carlo.

"Kowalski status," I said.

"We making excellent time Skipper," Kowalski said.

"Good once we make enough money we'll buy a new Plane and fly the hippies back," I said.

"Dream-liner, Concord, A-380, 747, 787...what?" Kowalski said.

"We'll figure it out," I said.

"A-380," Kowalski whispered.

"Skipper?" Private asked a worried look on his face.

"Yes?" I said.

"You were joking right?" Private said.

"Joking about what?" I said.

"That we were never going back," Private said.

"Oh no," Kowalski said.

Hours ago...

"Just Kidding we never coming back," I said.

"What?" Alex said.

"Initiate wrap drive!"

Present

"Uh..." Kowalski said, "He was totally kidding..."

"Nope," Rico said.

"How does that help!?" Kowalski shouted.

"I Dunno," Rico said.

"That doesn't help at all actually," Private said even more concerned.

"Private...I was joking," I said, "Besides we'll be back before they know it."

"What if Alex didn't get the joke," Private said.

"Then he's a loser," I said, "IT was obviously a joke..."

"Maybe not to him," Private said.

"We'll come back as a Christmas surprise and bring them home," I said, "it's not like New York's going anywhere."

"It's physically impossible to move an entire city," Kowalski said.

"We're be back to African in no time don't you worry," I said.

"As long as they don't do anything stupid like...go to Monte Carlo and get us," Private said.

"Get Real Kowalski they don't have the skills or the discipline to complete a mission like that," I said.

"And there's going to walk across Africa and swim across a large body of water?" Kowalski said, "Right..."

"Or they be too busy arguing over who's the leader..."

"Gloria obviously," Kowalski said.

"We got nothing to worry about Private," I said, "besides they'll probably end up compromising everything...I doubt they'll do something that stupid..."

"Melmen thought he had a incurable disease and was about to jump into a volcano in order to get water," Kowalski said.

"Okay they won't do something that stupid twice," I said.

"Breaking out of a zoo and causing mass panic that got them transferred to the wild," Kowalski said.

"Alex thought that a rite of passage was a dance competition instead of a fight," Private said.

"Fine they do stupid things," I said, "But they not stupid enough to imitate us and go on a our-style mission."

"How much money do we need for a plane?" Private asked.

"NOW we're talking Private," I said.

"Oh...can we save up for a community college fund?" Private asked.

"Um why?" I said.

"I want to be president," Private said.

"Yes! Now Penguins can be properly represented in the American government!" I said.

"I doubt we have to buy a circus or anything," Kowalski said.

"Why would we buy a circus?" I asked.

"Monte Carlo Approaching," Mason said.

"We have the disguise ready?" I said.

"Disguise?" Private said.

"How else are we going to play in a casino?" I asked.

"We going to impersonate one of the players," Kowalski said.

"What about the player?" Private asked.

"Um...we'll improvise," I replied.

"We're great with planning on the fly," Private said.

"I wonder what Alex up to," Private asked.

"Probably laughing about our joke," I said.

AFRICA

"What do they mean their not coming back?" Alex said, "Never coming back! How could they do that to us? After everything we been through!?"

"It was clearly a joke son," Zuba said, "It could hear the joking tone from down here."

"A joke?" Alex said.

"OF course," Zuba said, "their be back...I can feel it."

"A joke..." Alex said as his father walked off, "If it was a joke...then...I don't get it."

"Of course it's not a joke," a Zebra sarcastically said, "we're going to live here until we die of old age."

"What!?" Alex said not picking up the sarcasm, "What are you talking about Marty?"

But 'Marty' was already gone, "Wait...was that a joke too?" Alex wondered out loud to thin air.

"Who are you talking too?" Marty asked.

"But you just left...Marty," Alex said.

"What?" Marty said.

"Oh no," Alex said, "I thought that he was...uh...you."

"What? Again!?" Marty said as he stomped off.

"Wait! Marty!" Alex said running after the zebra.
