A month later…...

I was heading to the library to grab a book when I heard crying. I followed the sound to where Regina was dry-sobbing. I decided to go over to talk with her.

"What do you want?" She spat.

"Are you alright?"

"NO! The King just dismissed me. He dismissed two of the boys, too. Now it's just you, Kriss, and Oliver."

"Why did he dismiss you?"

"Because I tried to seduce him. He told me I'm too selfish, ambitious, self-centered, and rude. That I'm too much like my adoptive mom, Tanya."

"Oh. I am so sorry."

"It's not fair! He didn't give any of us a chance because he wants you! It was you from the beginning! Do you know how mad my mom will be when I go home, without being named his heiress?"

I looked down at the ground. "I'm sorry, Regina."

"You get everything! He adores you, Renesmee. He loves your mother. My mother and I don't stand a chance. We're ungifted, normal, and sluts."

"Maybe so, but you're talented, cunning, and beautiful. He should have taken that into account. I can talk with him."

"No, but thanks for offering. He's wanted you, and I never stood a chance. I'll be sent home one way or another. Better now than later." She sighed.

"I'm sorry, Regina." I smiled sadly at her and left, forgetting about that book.

"Oh my gosh, this is so exciting!" Nettie cried as she did my hair. "You made it to the end! Oh, I always knew you were! You're royalty material."

I laughed.

She threw my hair into a tight, low bun. Bethany was doing my makeup as Amelia finished perfecting my gown.

When they were done, I took off my robe and slipped on the gown. A pink floor-length, trumpet-style dress. It was a cold-shoulder style, with frilly sleeves. I put on a diamond bracelet and matching pink heels.

The girls escorted me downstairs and out to where the canning happened. I was escorted onto the stage. Sitting on a pillow on a table was a gold circular crown.

Oliver wore a suit. Kriss wore a sweetheart neckline floor-length straight gown with a black ribbon belt around her waist. Her hair was left down and curled, and she wore diamond bracelets and a diamond necklace.

"You look lovely." I told her.

"Thanks, Nessie." She sighed. "It's going to be you."

"I'm sorry."

Dad walked onto the stage a few moments later. He wore his golden crown, and his King uniform. He stood at the podium and addressed the public.

"Good evening, world. Today is a very special day, as I will be announcing my heir, your next monarch.

"Now, my heir has been clear since day one. We connected instantly, and I consider her my daughter. She is everything I want in my successor. Kind, caring, compassionate, head-strong, stubborn, tough, a fighter, and not afraid to stick up for what she believes in." He picked up the crown and walked over to me, placing the crown on top of my head. I beamed up at him. "Please welcome Renesmee Swan into our family. Long live Princess Renesmee."

"Long live Princess Renesmee!" The crowd shouted.
