A/N I thought I'd bring Casey into this story since Novak could be an anglicised version of the Polish surname Nowak. Kasia is a Polish name pronounced like Kash-a or Car-sha depending on your accent. I haven't seen all that many episodes with Casey in so I'm sorry if I get her character wrong

Hey Izzy. Good Morning." Olivia smiled.

"Good morning."

"We're going to ask you some questions in the court room again as a practice. Dr Johansson told me that you did really well yesterday and we're really brave." Olivia smiled down at Izabela. The doctor had told her that Izabela would be able to testify so long as they prepped her fully and asked if Olivia and Ola could testify first so they could be in the court room to support Izzy.

"Hi Rafa." Izzy smiled as she walked into the courtroom. "Hi Izzy, this is my friend, she's another ninja ADA." He said and Izzy laughed and the other ADA looked confused. "Hi Izabela. I'm Miss Novak." Casey said. "Novak?" Izzy asked "Czy pani mówi po polsku?" That shocked Casey. She did speak Polish, or at least she used to. 3 of her 4 grandparents were Polish immigrants. She'd spent a lot of time with her grandparents as a child, since her father was in the military. It had been a while since she'd spoken any Polish. She suddenly felt a pang of guilt it had been far too long since she'd phoned her one remaining grandmother. "Mówię trochę po polsku. Jestem z Amerika ale moi dziadkowie są Polakami." She told Izzy about her Polish ancestry. A small smile played across Liv's lips. She had no idea Casey spoke Polish but knew it would calm Izzy "Nazywam się Izabela Jones. Miło mi cię poznać." Izabela introduced herself. "Mam na imię Kasia." Casey smiled then laughed wryly at herself. No one had called her Kasia for a long time. It had been her Babcia's, her grandmothers idea, both of them were disappointed that her parents had given her more of an American name, they'd even anglicised her surname from Nowak to Novak, even if the pronunciation was the same. So her Babcias decided they'd call her the closest Polish name, Kasia, it had stuck even her parents called her Kasia a lot of the time. Liv and Rafa looked at her confused so she added. "Albo Casey, moja Polska rodzina nazywa mnie Kasia. Olivia i Rafael nazywa minę Casey." She smiled "mi też Milo cię poznać."

"You speak Polish? You never told me that? What did you say about me and Barba?" Liv asked smiling.

"Novak? Did you think my family were Asian? 3 of my grandparents were Polish. I haven't spoken it in a long time. I just told Izzy that you call me Casey." She told Izzy and Barba. "Isn't that your name?" Olivia asked.

"Yes but my Polish family call me Kasia." She smiled. "Okay Izabela, what's going to happen is that I'm going to ask some questions. I'm going to pretend to be the défense so I might ask some mean questions. Casey, Kasia, is going to ask you some questions too. If you need to take a break that's okay, just say, okay." Rafa said.

"Okay, can Kasia ask me Polski?" Izzy asked.

"Sorry, no that's not allowed because you also speak English. Did Rafa explain the jury. It's me and Rafa's job to help you and other people tell the jury that Mr D is a criminal, and the jury probably don't understand Polish. But I know you're great at English and you'll do great- Mr D will understand too and you can show him how brave you are."

"Mr D be here? W sądzie? Nie, nie" Izzy paniked.

"You didn't tell her?" Casey asked Liv and Rafa accusingly. "Hey Izzy." Liv said calmly "remember I said Mr D will be here. He'll sit there, but he's not allowed to say anything or come near to you. Remember we spoke about only looking at the person who is talking to you or at mama,daddy, Anna or Amanda. Me and Ola might be allowed to be there too but those people will be and Rafa will." Liv smiled.

"Kasia?" Izzy asked looking at Casey. Casey smiled at the trust and comfort Izzy was getting from her.

"Tak, będę tam. I'll be there. I can help Rafa or I will sit with Amanda."

"So who is Valentina?" Casey asked.

"Valentina was one of the Russian girl. She was teenager. She writed a diary in English. Mr D finded it. He shooted her. He said because she speaked English..."

"Objection hearsay!" Rafa shouted. Izzy's eyes widened. "Izabela, jest porządku," Casey smiled at her. "Rafa is just doing that because it might happen in court, and then what happens is the judge either makes me or Rafa ask an new question or tells you to answer. If Miss Calhoun objects, you just stay calm okay?" Casey smiled at Izzy who nodded. "Carry on."

"He shooted her and she die. I was scared. Carlotta hug me. Was probably more than year ago."

"What happened after she died?" Casey asked.

"Mr D take her in van. I not sure where."

"And who was Nina?" Casey asked.

"Nina speak Spanish. One time at hotel. We in...uliczka?" Izzy looked at Casey for the translation. "Alleyway"

"We in alleyway. She try run away. Mr D shooted her. She fall down. He leave her there." Izzy said. Olivia thought Fin had been right. She probably was one of their unsolved rape homicide cases.

"And Ruslana?" Casey asked.

"She my friend. She from Ukraina but speaked Russian. She 5. Olivia know what happen."

"Wiem. I know Izzy but we have to hear from you. They jury will hear from Olivia too. And Ola and some of the other girls." Casey told her. "What if I get it wrong?" Izzy panicked. "All you have to do is tell the truth and what you saw okay?" Olivia told her.

"Okay. I was in car with Ola, my sister and Amanda. Mr D grab Ruslana and he have the gun by her head. I run out of car but Ola catch me and we hided behind car with Amanda. The Olivia say somthing like calm down and let Ruslana go but he not. He said it all my fault. Like he said it Bella's fault and Bella is me. Then he shooted Ruslana and she die and a police person shooted him but he not die."

Then it was Rafa's turn. "Remember Izabela. Rafa is going to ask you some hard questions. But he's just pretending to be mean and if you need a break or to stop that's fine." Liv told Izzy. None of them wanted to do this but they needed to prepare her for what would happen. "Miss Jones. Is English your first language." Rafa asked.

"No Polish"

"Could You have misinterpreted or misunderstood some of the questions Miss Novak asked you?"

"No."

"Did you want to have sex with all the men who you clam raped you." Rafa asked.

"No. I not want to." Izzy replied.

"Did you say no?" Rafa asked. Izzy didn't reply. "Izzy Kochana. You have to answer the questions." Casey told her.

"I not say no." She whispered.

"So it's not rape?" He asked.

"OBJECTION." Casey shouted.

Once Izzy got off the stand she ran straight to Casey and hugged her. Casey stood stock still then put her arms around the little girl. "You did great Izzy. Dobra robota!" Casey smiled. "Dziekuję Kasia!" Izzy said. She had done well. Not a single flashback and only a few tears. If she did that well in the real trial then she'd be their star witness. Izzy hugged Liv too and Rafa smiled at her. She still wasn't comfortable with physical contact from men.

Ola was sat in the squad room with Amanda and Fin. Rafa and Liv were planning to prep her after. "What are you up to Ola?" Amanda asked as Ola was scrolling on her phone frowning. "I'm trying to decide what Broadway musical to take Anna to as an early birthday gift. We both love musicals. I was thinking about Six but we can watch that one in London." She mused.

"Is that the one with the king with even more wives than munch. And he beheaded two of 'em?" Fin asked and Amanda looked at him in amusent. "What?" Fin asked "I do know stuff. Seriously though Ola. Who comes up with these stories?" Fin laughed and Ola gave him a death stare. "You realise you've practically committed treason." Then her face softened and she laughed "Henry VIII was a real king of England you know?"

"For real. And his wives?"

"Divorced, beheaded,died, divorced, beheaded, survived." Ola laughed.

"If you wanna' know 'bout musicals you should ask Liv. She's been to a few." Amanda smiled.

"Here she is." Ola smiled at her little sister as she came into the squad room. "Mama sent be to come and get you for lunch. We're gonna get Italian. Then mama and daddy are going to take you and Anna shopping." Ola smiled taking her sisters hand.

"So Kasia?" Olivia asked her friend. "You're full of surprises!" Casey laughed. "It's just a childhood nickname. I spoke Polish as a child and I've never introduced myself in Polish as Casey. It just kind of happened. Sorry it was unprofessional." Casey smiled embarrassed.

"No. You made a connection with a scared victim. I like the Kasia side of you." Liv told her. Casey was a friend of Liv's but unlike most of her friends, Liv's son Noah just called her 'Casey.' Not aunt or uncle they way he called 'auntie Amanda or uncle Rafa'

"I'm Ada Novak at work. Casey with my close collègues and friends and Kasia with my family." She smiled. It's basically reminded me I really should ring my Babcia. That's Granny. I speak to her in Polish. I was looked after a lot my by grandparents when I was little, what with my father being in the military. She's an amazing lady."

"Like her granddaughter. The most formidable but compassionate ADA." Liv smiled at her friend.
