Well, now we say goodbye to the NES era, and hello to the SNES era. (This was hard to write)

No, it's not. I'll admit, they're both similar.

You're right, they should definitely be more careful.
Yoshi was walking outside of the observatory, wondering what he was doing in the empty white void.
"This is strange." He whispered to himself. "I just woke up in the observatory, and now I'm here."
Then, he remembered what happened.
"That portal!" Yoshi gasped. "It sent me, you, and our friends here!"
Yoshi looked around to find the two plumbers, but to no avail.
"Where are Mario and Luigi?" Yoshi asked himself. "Wherever they are, I hope they're not in danger."
"I asking you same thing." A voice replied. "I also wonder where are they."
He turned and became surprised when he saw who it was. He saw a Green Yoshi that looked almost like him, but looked younger, had smaller arms, and his saddle actually looked like one rather than like a Shell. They both remained silent for a bit before Yoshi broke the silence.
"Who are you?" Yoshi asked.
"My name... Yoshi." The younger Yoshi replied.
He stared in silence.
"His name is also Yoshi?" Yoshi thought.
"What it your name?" The younger Yoshi continued.
"My name is Yoshi." Yoshi replied.
They both became confused.
"This will be difficult…" Yoshi sighed. "Well, you look like me from the past."
"And Yoshi think you look like me from future." Past Yoshi replied.
Yoshi stared at his past counterpart.
"You really need to work more on your English grammar." Yoshi sighed. "Since you're me from the past, I may need to think of a name…"
Yoshi thought for a moment before he got an idea.
"I'll refer to you as… Classic Yoshi." Yoshi continued.
"What should Yoshi call you?" Classic Yoshi asked.
"Well, I'm from the future, so…" Yoshi stopped before. "You could call me Modern Yoshi if you want."
"Mod… wern?" Classic Yoshi questioned as Modern Yoshi sighed again.
"Modern." Modern Yoshi pronounced. "Mod-dern."
Suddenly, as he said that, the entire room dimmed darkly and two glowing eyes stared at the two Yoshies. One had black pupils, while the other one had purple pupils. The two Yoshies stopped and looked at them with scared expressions.
"Uh… hi?" Modern Yoshi greeted the two glowing eyes.
Then, the two eyes rushed to both Yoshies as they screamed loudly.

The Marios and Luigis were finished with Desert Land, and were returning to the lobby.
"Wasn't that an awesome battle?" Classic Mario asked.
"Mama Mia." Modern Mario sighed. "Remind me never to pull a stunt like that."
[OST: Sonic Generations - Time Eater's Theme]
"HEEEEELP!" A voice called.
"What's happening?" Classic Luigi asked, and Modern Luigi freaked out when he saw who it was.
"Is that who I think it is?!" Modern Mario gasped in horror.
Two giant Boos were flying nearby, one was a big one holding Classic Yoshi in a cage, while one had purple eyes and a giant crown, holding Modern Yoshi in his portrait. They found E. Gadd's portraits, set the switch to Ghost House, and they both flew in their respective ones.
"Yoshi!" Modern Mario yelled as he ran to the Ghost House portrait. "They've trapped him in one of King Boo's portraits!"
"That isn't good!" Classic Mario replied. "I saw another Yoshi in a cage!"
"We need to save them!" Classic Luigi ordered.
"I agree!" Classic Mario exclaimed. "Me and my bro will take the cage!"
"We'll take the portrait!" Modern Mario continued.
"Now I'm terrified." Modern Luigi gulped.
"And don't worry, Luigi." Modern Mario reassured confidently. "We'll get through this together."
They ran into the Ghost House portrait to save their Yoshi friends.

The Classic Bros were now inside the Classic Ghost House. It was dark, wooden, and spooky inside. In the room, there were a hoard of Boo Crews flying, some transparent, and some visible. That, combined with the pits below some of the floor, meant that they had to be careful.
"Well, it looks like we need to be extra careful here." Classic Luigi said while shuddering a bit. "There's a lot of Boo Buddies."
"And there are some bottomless pits." Classic Mario replied. "But they're no match for me!"
"And what about me?" Classic Luigi asked. "I can avoid them too."
"Yeah, yeah." Classic Mario continued. "We know that."
They ran slowly, but fast enough to avoid falling off the pits. They noticed they were blushing and shaking when they stared at them.
"They look really shy." Classic Mario whispered. "Looks like they can't give chase."
"We shouldn't turn our backs." Classic Luigi whispered back. "Those Boo Buddies can trick us if we turn them."
"So?" Classic Mario replied quietly. "I've known them since 1990, and I'm already used to it."
Classic Mario made a run for the door. Classic Luigi was running slower so he could keep an eye on the Boo Buddies.
"Hey!" Classic Mario called impatiently to his brother. "Are you coming?"
Classic Luigi glared as he and his brother walked into the door, leaving the room and entering another one.
"Well, now that we are o-" Classic Mario said before something floaty and green hit him.
"Look out!" Classic Luigi yelled. "BIG BUBBLES!"
He was right, there were big green-looking bubbles floating in this room.
"Let's dodge it! We'll get through them if we dodge them!" Classic Mario exclaimed as he did a spin jump on it.
"Good idea, bro!" Classic Luigi replied.
Luigi ducked down to avoid them, while Classic Mario kept spin jumping on them. After they got through them, they made it to another door.
"I hope this Ghost House doesn't confuse us." Classic Luigi thought.
As they entered another room, there was a Boo Circle circling around them.
"Was this a bad door?" Classic Luigi asked.
"All doors in those Ghost House mansions are bad." Classic Mario replied "Hey! Free gap!"
Classic Mario grabbed Classic Luigi's hand as they both ran out of the Boo Circle at a fast speed. They saw a door hovering in mid-air without any blocks covering the bottom.
"That's really strange." Classic Luigi said. "They haven't got a floor to cover that door."
"And if this was 3D, it would be even more confusing." Classic Mario whispered to the viewers.
They jumped on top of the blocks and ran through them. After that, they were near… yet, another door (yawn…).
"That was a bit short if you ask me." Classic Mario yawned. "I expected it to be longer."
"If this was short, then I can tell something bad will happen." Classic Luigi replied.
"Don't be silly, Luigi." Classic Mario smirked. "What could possibly go wrong?"
Classic Luigi growled as they both entered the door, but when they did, they saw something very familiar.
"We landed in another Boo Circle?" Classic Luigi asked. "Did we loop back?"
"I don't think we did." Classic Mario answered as they both jumped out of the Boo Circle gap.
After they did, they looked around to see if the room. Unfortunately, his brother was right. The room looked exactly as it did when they exited, which meant that the door tricked them back to the same room. The Classic Bros were not angry, but they were disappointed.
"Talk about being lazy." Classic Mario groaned. "Not even a small creative room to loop us back, just a straight up door!"
"Forget about the door!" Classic Luigi ordered. "We need to find a way out of here! Let's see if we can search for something secret."
They looked around, and Classic Luigi caught sight of a P-Switch.
"I know! Let's grab the P Switch!" Classic Luigi replied.
Classic Mario ran with him to get the P-Switch, while collecting Coins at a small platform. When they made it to the P-Switch, they grabbed and moved it so they could make it there quicker.
"Okay, on the count of three." Classic Luigi ordered. "One, tw-"

"Three!" Classic Mario continued as he pressed the button, and three ? Blocks spawned on the hovering door. "Jackpot!"
[OST: Super Mario World - Ghost House theme]
They ran inside the door quickly, and entered another room, which had two Big Boos, as well as ladders and platforms.
"Now we'll need to be even more careful." Classic Luigi warned.
"At least there's not any bottomless pits." Classic Mario sighed in relief. "Which means we don't need to worry about the floor!"
"We still need to be careful though." Classic Luigi replied. "There's two Big Boos flying."
"Good call." Classic Mario replied back.
Classic Mario jumped to the ladder and climbed it. He also looked at the flustered Big Boo so it wouldn't give chase to him, and Classic Luigi did the same as he did. Then, they jumped at the platforms, and near a giant red door.
"You know," Classic Mario smiled. "While I do enjoy the huge fame the Mushroom Kingdom gives me, I'm glad to have a brother near my side to help out."
"Thanks." Classic Luigi replied as they both entered the giant red door.

After getting through those four rooms, they saw an empty room with a few platforms.
"Hello?" Classic Mario asked. "Anyone here? We're not going to stay in a room with no one for nothing"
"Mario? It that you?" A voice called as Classic Mario looked up to see…
[OST: Super Mario World - Title Screen]
"Yoshi! It's you!" Classic Mario cheered. "You've been doing alright?"
"Yeah," Classic Yoshi replied. "Yoshi think this was a underwhelming kidnap."
"Tell me about it." Classic Mario chuckled.
"I do hope these Grammar and Vocabulary lessons are helping you speak English better." Classic Luigi smiled.
"Yoshi think they are!" Classic Yoshi beamed.
[OST: Yoshi's Island - Room Before Boss]
While the three were talking, a Big Boo floated nearby with a smirking Kamek.
"Hmm, so it looks like those plumbers have their backs turned." Kamek whispered. "Our plan is a success."
He turned to the Big Boo.
"Are you ready for this, Big Boo?" Kamek asked.
"I'm born ready!" Big Boo smiled evilly.
Kamek grabbed a huge bag of glowing purple powder and sprayed it on him while riding his broom. Then Big Boo started to swell and well before-

"Oh, yes! I'm growing!" Big Boo cackled as Kamek flew away. "Adios, you plumbed up Plumber Brothers!"
Classic Yoshi became shocked when he saw the Bigger Boo, and he remembered the ghost creature when he was younger.
"AH! MARIO! LUGREENIE!" Classic Yoshi panicked.
"It's Luigi!" Classic Luigi yelled.
"What's the hub hub, Yoshi?" Classic Mario asked.
"AH-A-A-A-AH! B-B-B-B-B!" Classic Yoshi stuttered in panic. "GIANT BOOOOOOOOOOO!"
They turned their backs, but Bigger Boo saw that, so he turned invisible quickly. The Classic Brothers were confused.
"Giant Boo?" Classic Mario questioned. "Where is it?"
"It right behind you!" Classic Yoshi exclaimed. "RIGHT BEHIND!"
"But I don't see one." Classic Luigi replied.
Classic Yoshi grabbed a mirror big enough for them to see, and when they looked through it, they saw the Bigger Boo.
"Oh no!" Classic Luigi gasped.
"Do not fear, Yoshi have plan!" Classic Yoshi yelled as he grabbed something. "Take these Yoshi Eggs!"
He dropped them down for Classic Mario to catch them.
"I got it!" Classic Mario had an idea. "When we stared at the Bigger Boo, it turned invisible. But when we look away, it gives chase and is visible!"
"So that means if it's invisible, we can't defeat it." Classic Luigi continued. "So that means if we could toss the Yoshi Eggs on the wall without looking behind, we can defeat that Bigger Boo!"
They grabbed the Yoshi Eggs and ran near the wall to toss them.
"Fire!" Classic Mario called as he and his brother threw two Yoshi Eggs to catapult it to the wall, and it bounced back to hit the Bigger Boo.
The Bigger Boo became angry, and started to grow into a bigger size.
"And when we hurt it, it becomes bigger!" Classic Luigi gasped. "Keep tossing them, and stay near the wall!"
"Okie-Dokie!" Classic Mario replied.
[OST: Super Mario World - Boss Battle]
They did it again, throwing two of them to rocket back at Bigger Boo. Both Yoshi Eggs hit the Bigger Boo again, and the ghostly creature grew once more. Unfortunately, the Bigger Boo has grown so big that it barely covered much room.
"Oh my Toadstool!" Classic Luigi yelled as he saw the Bigger Boo from the mirror grow at its fullest. "We need to toss these two Yoshi Eggs as hard as we can!"
"That should defeat it." Classic Mario replied. "But first, we need to make some room."
"We can't!" Classic Luigi exclaimed. "That Boo is so big, we'll be trapped until we throw the Eggs!"
"Calm down, Panic Pants!" Classic Mario reassured. "We can do this!"
They prepared to toss them.
"On my count!" Classic Mario started. "One!"
"Two!" Classic Yoshi continued.
"Three!" Classic Luigi finished as he and his brother tossed the Yoshi Eggs, but they didn't hit the Bigger Boo. They bounced everywhere around the room, forcing the Classic Bros to cover their heads.
It continued, and continued, and continued some more until…
POW!
Both Eggs hit the Bigger Boo at full force. Bigger Boo became so enraged, that he started to grow full size before he realized the mistake.
"Agh!" Bigger Boo yelped. "TOO BIG! TOO BIG!"
Bigger Boo couldn't handle the pressure, and exploded cartoonishly. He deflated like a balloon that was losing air before landing on the ground, tired.
"I should've stopped while I was at it…" Bigger Boo muttered before disappearing into a cloud of smoke. A giant key landed near the Classic Bros. Classic Mario grabbed the key.
"This must be the key to unlock Yoshi!" Classic Luigi smiled as Classic mario jumped to the cage and unlocked Yoshi's cage.
[OST: Super Mario World - Fortress/Castle Clear]
"Yay! Yoshi thanks you both!" Classic Yoshi beamed. "Now Yoshi free from Scary House!"
"Alright!" They all cheered.

Meanwhile, Klassic Koopa and Modern Bowser were staring furiously at Kamek, and spoke severely to him.
"YOU MORON!" Klassic Koopa scolded. "How dare you make that Big Boo grow so large that he exploded!"
"It wasn't supposed to happen, sir!" Kamek whimpered. "I didn't expect that! Honest!"
"Well, you better do better next time!" Modern Bowser ordered. "And as for you, Klassic me! You better know what you're doing with your plans!"
"You better know too!" Klassic Koopa argued as both Koopa Kings growled before arguing.
Meanwhile, the princesses were still in the cage, wondering how they could get out.
"This really stinks." Classic Toadstool sighed in sadness.
"I've gotten used to it." Modern Peach sighed before she went to comfort her Classic counterpart. "It's okay, Toadstool. We'll get out when those Mario's arrive."
Universi was watching Klassic Koopa and Modern Bowser argue with each other. She couldn't help but facepalm.
"Those two are so foolish…" Universi thought before smirking evilly. "Foolish indeed…"
*huge sigh* OH MY CAPPY! I finally got this out of the way! Sorry for taking longer than usual. I hope to get faster with this story, but I also hope this chapter makes the wait worth it.
I do thank you for continuing to support this story and me. Until next time, bye!
