Coach Brunt sat in the faculty room, staring at the large screen in front of her. The other faculty members sat beside her, staring intently at the screen as well.
"Tigress, report. What dirt have you dug up on VILE?"
Tigress hesitated before replying, "I...I haven't exactly dug up any dirt on them. But, I did manage to cover for Mime Bomb. The moron almost got us caught, but thankfully I was able to convince the ACME losers that the scrap of fabric from Mime Bomb's shirt wasn't a clue leading to VILE." She added in a lower voice, "Because I'm obviously the best operative, and because I deserved the new faculty spot, and not some little creep, but whatever."
Paper Star looked smug, "Too bad LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE, thought otherwise."
Tigress seethed, "You better shut up, squirt. We all know it was MY plan that worked. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been able to capture her."
Paper Star laughed coldly, "Yeah, because I'd catch her in half the time you did. It took you hours to get ready, and all you did was yell and order everyone around. If I were leading the plan, everything would be much more organized, and the plan would have flowed more smoothly."
"Shut up, creep."
"You shut up!"
"No you!"
Maelstrom cleared his throat, "Paper Star, a good faculty member does not argue about such childish subjects. As the newest addition to our faculty, you should know that." He narrowed his eyes.
Paper Star growled, but sat back down.
"Anyways, we will make sure that Mime Bomb's mishap does not go unpunished."
Countess Cleo asked, "Have you managed to earn Graham's trust yet?"
"No...he...he kinda...doesn't like me...he doesn't trust me, at all."
Paper Star got out of her seat, "Hey, what was the policy for kicking people out again if they couldn't do their jobs right?" She asked sweetly.
"Sit down. We're not done talking yet." Dr. Bellum told her.
"I was just trying to remind a friend, in case she forgot."
"Mhhm." Tigress curled her lip in disgust at the word 'friend.'
Maelstrom sighed, "Enough of this rivalry, and back to the subject at hand. We don't want for Graham to think that ACME is his friend. But, we don't want for him to resort to helping Carmen, either. We don't want Graham to discover any hidden VILE secrets, or secrets about his past life. To make sure that he doesn't cause trouble, YOU need to gain his trust."
"But how can I?! Like I said, he doesn't even-"
"Earning your trust with Graham could also mean him losing trust with someone else. Graham is a new agent at ACME. Surely they must keep some secrets from him. After all, ACME is suspicious about him. After all, he was captured by them before."
"Okay..." Tigress agreed. The spot at the faculty was hers, and she would do whatever it took it earn it.
— Graham—-
Graham slammed the door behind him, slightly satisfied as he heard it "THUD" close behind him.
"Graham!" Agent Zari snapped from the corridor, "What is the meaning of this?!"
"What do you mean 'what's the meaning of this'?! Why don't you at least hear me out and try to make sense of my ideas?"
"Because!"
"Because what? Because you're too stubborn?!" Graham's hands clenched into fists, "I know Carmen wouldn't lie to me."
"That's what you want to know. There's a difference."
"Yeah, well, there's not even enough evidence to prove that she's really bad." Graham argued.
"There's not exactly enough evidence to prove that she's good, either. Plus, the last person Agent Devineaux saw before he went to the hospital, was Carmen Sandiego. She could have been the one who-" (A/N, I know it wasn't really clear here but I was referring to the episode where Shadowsan betrayed VILE. This is NOT a separate story event. Sorry for any confusion.)
"Nonsense. Carmen would never hurt someone else. Not unless she had to."
"If she's lying, then she just hurt you, didn't she?"
Graham winced, "I don't know that she's lying. Plus, all we know is that Devineaux saw Carmen. We don't know all the events that happened."
"Yes, but-"
Graham sat down in his seat, clicking his pen in frustration, "There's always a 'but' with you, isn't there? You can't agree with anything I say. Wow, unbelievable."
Zari didn't say anything else, walking away. Her footsteps echoed throughout the hall, leaving Graham completely alone...
...or so he thought.
Tigress smirked, seeing her opportunity. As soon as Agent Zari left, she knocked on the door.
"Hey? Graham? Can I come in?"
"What do you want?"
"I thought we had a meeting today! You're late."
"It was cancelled."
"...oh." There went one evil scheme. But, thankfully Tigress had a plan b.
"Can I come in?"
"No."
Tigress rolled her eyes, then opened the door, putting on her I'm-concerned-but-I'm-actually-faking-it-lol face.
"Why are you so upset?!"
"Why so you think I'm all upset?! Ugh, everything's just been getting worse and worse since you've got here! No one cares about what I have to say."
"I do. You can tell me what you think about Carmen. We could make them see."
"But why would you care, especially after I've been nothing but mean to you?"
"We're friends though, aren't we?"
Graham blinked, surprised, "I...guess we are."
Don't forget to review, follow, and fav! :) ;D
