Hello and Idon'tknowwhattosaynextsoyeah-hi.
Sorry about that. Let's just say that coming up with greetings is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Anyways, today we've got some classic Percabeth. (Although I'll admit this is not my best fic ever, but whatever) Enjoy and please review!

Christmas Countdown: Today is December 16 which means that there is 9 days until Christmas! We are out of the double digits people!
The Athena cabin had this tradition of making gingerbread houses every year during the holiday season. They called it 'Gingerbread Construction Day.'
One year, Annabeth and Malcolm were working together. It was almost guaranteed that they'd win. Not only was Annabeth the best architect, but she was also the most competitive. It wasn't even a challenge at that point.
"It's not fair," one of the Athena kids complained, "Annabeth is going to beat us all. Like last year. And the year before that, and the year before that, and the-"
"Stop." Annabeth commanded. Then she smiled. "I'll go easy on you, right Malcolm?"
Malcolm turned away from their blueprints and nodded earnestly. "Yeah, don't worry. You guys will do great."
So the Athena cabin rallied their groups, gathered supplies, and set up their work stations. And then Percy strolled in.
"Hey everybody! Ooo, gingerbread!" He quickly strode over to Annabeth's work space and tried to snatch a bite. His hand was smacked away by his girlfriend.
"No can do, buddy. That's our support beam." Annabeth explained, pushing him away with one hand, piping icing with another. "You can sit and watch, but no eating. All these pieces are essential." She was handed a piece by Malcolm, which she very carefully put in place.
Percy huffed, but he pulled up a stool and watched the two siblings work. "So what's going on here?"
"Gingerbread Construction Day. The biggest and best gingerbread house competition ever. Our house will be a four story modern building. With balconies galore, a wraparound deck, windows everywhere, a pool, and geometric design and construction." Malcolm explained, whilst eyeing Annabeth's craftsmanship.
"So no eating. And don't eat the other's gingerbread. We may be competitive, but we don't play dirty." Annabeth warned Percy as he reached for a piece from one of the other groups.
Percy frowned. "Fine, no eating. No playing dirty." He pouted. "Why do you have to ruin all the fun?"
Annabeth gave him an exasperated look. "This is fun!" She gestured at the beginnings of her gingerbread masterpiece.
"Fun for you, maybe." He grumbled. "You don't happen to have any extra pieces that need eating... do you?"
Malcolm tossed Percy a golden drachma. "Go ask for some from the KP squad. I'm sure the harpies will give you some."
Percy studied the gold coin, then got up reluctantly. "Okay, I'll check back later." He left the Athena cabin, hoping to score some extra snacks.
Later, when most of the gingerbread houses were half way built, Percy came back with an armload of goodies.
"Look what I got!" He sang out, entering the Athena cabin again.
"Shhhhh!" Most of the kids shush Percy as he enters.
"Okay, okay! I'm quiet." He defended himself, walking back to Annabeth and Malcolm's workstation.
The siblings were talking intently, oblivious that Percy was back. Percy plopped his snacks down on the table. Extra gingerbread, mini candy canes, gumdrops, and chocolate chip cookies.
"Oh! Perfect!" Annabeth grabbed one of the extra pieces of gingerbread brought by Percy. "Thanks, we decided to add a little something extra to our house but didn't have enough gingerbread." She explained as Percy pouted.
"That was for me to eat!" He complained, trying to snatch it back. "Hey, give it back!"
"Percy, you're shaking the table, the house is going to fall over!" Malcolm yelped.
Percy just laughed. "You're going to jinx yourself. Now give it back!" He lunged for the gingerbread.
Annabeth shouted in protest and defeat. "Ugh! Fine, here." She handed back the gingerbread.
"Thank you." Percy chomped down, taking a seat on his stool. "Woah, what's going on with this?" Percy inspected the Athena kid's extravagant gingerbread house.
Annabeth smiled proudly. "We're almost done. We just have to figure out how to arrange the..."
And that's when Percy tuned the architectural talk out. He just nodded along and looked at the house. He admitted, he didn't listen when his girlfriend went on long lectures. Especially when he didn't understand half the words.
"Wow, this is so cool." Percy took another bite of gingerbread. "When can I eat it?"
Annabeth rolled her eyes. "You weren't listening, we're you?" She placed a hand on her hip.
"Well... no." Percy hung his head. He perked right back up. "But I can be your extra-gingerbread-eater." He suggested hopefully.
Annabeth and Malcolm went back to building. Percy took that as a 'no'.
As the siblings were building, it was practically silent in the Athena cabin. Everyone was very 'hush-hush' about their creations. So Percy decided to take this time to talk.
"Guys, did you know that this crazy water spirit was bugging me all day last week? I think she was a naiad. She would appear in any body of liquid closest to me. The lake, the ocean, my goblet..." Percy paused. "Even the toilet water." He whispered-loud enough for everyone to hear, of course.
"Gross! TMI, Percy!" Annabeth exclaimed. "We are all trying to work, so please, try and stay quiet."
"Okay," Percy whispered. He stayed quiet for a few moments, then, "Hey, did you know that the sword dummies at the arena were filled with wood chips the other day? So when I went to wack one, instead of the soft 'fsssh' sound, it went CLACKALACKAWACKALACK!" Percy jumped up, yelling the last part.
Everyone in the cabin jumped and shouted in surprise. Percy just laughed, doubling over.
"Oh my gods, Percy! Are you kidding me?" Annabeth stormed over to him. "You ate my last support beam!" She shouted.
"Uh, no I just scared the Hades out of you. Plus, I've only ate my stuff." Percy defended himself.
"No! You ate the the last piece of our house! Stop eating all the gingerbread, we aren't going to be able to finish this." Annabeth rummaged through Percy's rations, taking a sheet of gingerbread. "I'm using this."
"Hey! I'm hungry! Give it back!" Percy snatched it back.
Annabeth sighed in annoyance. "Please, Percy. This is really important to me."
The sincere tone of her voice broke Percy. "Fine. Use it."
"Thank you." Annabeth kissed his cheek, then went back to work.
Percy sighed, sitting down and watching his girlfriend and friend get back to work. He admired how hard working Annabeth was. Their gingerbread house was sure to win. He offered a cookie to Malcolm, who took it gratefully.
As usual, Annabeth won. Malcolm and Annabeth were ecstatic, although not surprised. They were the oldest and most experienced Athena kids, so it wasn't surprising that they won.
"Congratulations! I knew you'd win." Percy wrapped her in a hug. "I'm glad my extra gingerbread helped."
"It really did. Thank you, again." Annabeth replied, admiring her masterpiece.
Percy waited a moment before asking. "Can I eat it now?"
Everyone laughed at that. Percy blushed in embarrassment. "Seriously though, can I eat it?" He asked again.
Annabeth laughed. "Sure, Seaweed Brain." She stepped aside and gestured at her creation.
Percy rubbed his hands together, licking his lips. "Come to papa." He started towards the house, then paused. A mischievous glint shinned in his eye. He picked up the creation, and walked out of the cabin.
The whole of the Athena cabin followed, confused. They followed him until he stopped. He set the house down in the snow, and sat next to it.
"Everyone! Come and get some gingerbread house!" Percy cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted.
Campers from all over camp came, taking pieces. Some stayed and chatted, while others took some and went their separate ways.
And so, that's how the tradition of Gingerbread Construction Day turned into the tradition of Gingerbread Eating Day. After the Athena kids finished their houses, the whole camp was called to feast upon their yummy masterpieces.
