Yay here we go with chapter 15 YAY!
Before I start however, I figured you guys should know that I am also posting this story on wattapad as well. However, that version doesn't have these awesome reviews to catch up on what you might of missed last chapter or to remind you what last chapter was about because I went on hiatus for a long ass time and you probably wont remember that last chapter we started off in Serenity's point of view in her dreams. But are they really her dreams?
She is surrounded by water trying to stay alive but drowns. Well almost before she drowns in the dream, she hears the familiar saying of her curse and when she opens her eyes again she meets a pair of hazel ones that belong to the man that cursed her ancestors so long ago.
He asked her what she thought of the curse and if she figured out what she must do. To which she responded that she would have to die because he was dead. To which he said just because he was dead doesn't mean she couldn't do the right thing.
SO, she apologized to him, however, he denied her apology because of the reason why she was apologizing. To which she asked him what she is supposed to apologize for which pissed him off. Telling her that she deserved this Serenity screamed that she would do anything to save the ones she loved and that she didn't want to die.
Then we switch to Bakugo's point of view and we see that whatever Serenity is doing in the dream she is also doing in real life. She screamed in her dream when she drowned, which woke everyone in the house up. Her gasping for air scared Bakugo, but he wasn't much help this time because when he opened the door he froze at seeing her.
She was thrashing in the dream and in reality, but the venom made it hard for her to, but she was burning it off as she was covered in sweat, and in so much pain that she was crying, however she was still asleep or was she.
Hizashi went and got her ice and Aizawa Sensei went to wake her up but she wasn't able to. At this point of the dream, she had opened her eyes to the person who cursed her. At this point she was dead for a little bit, and Aizawa was trying to resuscitate her. Aizawa was successful but then again Serenity cant die from natural or unnatural causes like others. She can only die from the curse and this my friends wasn't caused by the curse. Its from the paralysis venom. Aizawa gave her too much by accident and this is the type of effect that it could have on her. (The pills don't have this effect since those are monitored and are a lot smaller than the shots)
She finally spoke in real life and this snapped Bakugo out of his thoughts and he was able to help Hizashi cover Serenity in icepacks to cool her down. Though he freezes again when she screams about not wanting to die, and he wondered if she ever gets a break from her curse. When she wakes up she accidentally grabs Bakugo and screams because she was still going through the recent event that just happened to her and to Bakugo's surprise he instinctively hugged her and tried to calm her down again. He has been doing that a lot lately makes you wonder doesn't it.
Serenity explains what happened in her dream and how her apology was denied and why. Bakugo wanted to know everything that they hadn't said to him yet, but all they had left really was the poem. She started to shut down for a second until Bakugo said he wanted to know what the hell was going on with her because that's why he was there in the first place. So she told him and he took a written copy of it to analyze and see if he could learn anything about the curse that could help her.
Serenity not expecting him to help and telling him he didn't have to made him snap at her a familiar line from chapter 8 about how she was a dumbass for thinking a hero wouldn't do anything. This lead to them both calming down and having a nice moment full of laughs calming everyone down.
Now lets see howe everything goes in this chapter now shall we.
Chapter-15, A normal day
(Warning some lines are in German I will translate though don't worry)
(Bakugo's point of view)
I woke up groggy, and irritated, to a knock on the door of the guest room I was staying in. I got up and opened the door to come face to face with lizard. She was wearing a black hoodie with a checker pattern on the sleeves and a black jean skirt and was holding a plastic bag.
"What's up?" I asked a little rudely, but she didn't seem to mind. Instead, she handed me the bag.
"I-I went to the convenience store and got you a couple things since you didn't really bring anything." She said and looked down at her feet making me sigh. I grabbed the bag with one hand but lifted her face up with my other hand making her gold eyes meet my red ones.
"Quit looking at the floor when your talking to others. It's annoying." I said and then turned to close the door.
I looked at my phone for the time it was a little after noon. I sighed and opened the bag and saw she had gotten me a toothbrush as well as deodorant and clothe along with a note.
Hey, I figured you didn't want to wear Papa Aizawa's clothes and I didn't know if Papa Hizashi had cleaned yours, so I got you some. I didn't know your size though so sorry if they don't fit well. I hope they fit your style if not sorry about that to. Bathroom is across the hall from the guest room your in. Everything in there is new as well.

"Tch, she didn't have to do that." I mumbled to myself unfolding a shirt from the bag. It was black with 3 skulls on the bottom left corner. I smirked; she may have only seen me in casual clothes once, but she has a good idea from those on what I like. I put the stuff back into the bag and went into the bathroom.
(Serenity's point of view)
"Was ist gerade passiert?" (what just happened?) I asked myself quietly while still standing in front of the door. I turned and made my way to my room.
"Warum hat er sich nicht nur bedankt, warum hat er das stattdessen zur Welt gebracht?" (Why didnt he just say thank you, why did he bring that up instead?) I mumbled to myself as I grabbed the case for my base guitar and laid it on my bed and opened it. I tested the strings and checked to see if it was in tune.
I looked over to where my violin and ukulele were and sighed. 'I think I'm just going to practice with one today instead of all 3' I put my bass back into its case. It was a normal black classic bass guitar. Nothing too fancy in case it gets broken one day. The same goes for my violin and ukulele.
I closed the case and slung it on my back and left my room to head downstairs and practice my cords with Papa Hizashi. I heard the shower going off when I passed the bathroom. Most likely because of Bakugo. I hope the clothes fit him well. As long as they aren't too small it should be fine. Right?
I saw Papa Hizashi with his hair up in a bun with his guitar strumming some tunes. He was sitting on the right side of the couch like normal and I went to sit on the left side like I normally did during our jam sessions. He liked to talk to me and make me feel better after nights like last night. He smiled when he saw me especially since he saw that I was wearing the outfit that him and Papa Aizawa got for me a while back. I was easy to shop for since I don't like too much color in my wardrobe.
I got my bass guitar out and started strumming some practice notes, and smiled back at him. After a minute he strummed the D string 4 times making me raise a brow at him. He then strummed it 3 times and I knew exactly what he was doing and smiled. He played the next three notes and I played along with him while we hummed together the tune. We got through the first verse Papa Aizawa came in and leaned on the walkway that leads to the kitchen from the living room and smiled as he softly sang the next verse to the song while we played.
"The other night dear,
While I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you
here in my arms

I was mistaken
And I held my head and I cried

Papa Hizashi singing along with him for the last verse.

They never said the whole version of the last verse only half of it. I always wondered why but this was a sweet song to sing either way, so I didn't mind.
"Sunshine,
our only sunshine

please don't take our sunshine away"
Papa Aizawa had moved to put a hand on my head avoiding my fin, and Papa Hizashi set his guitar to the side and let me play the last notes while the sang the last line.
"Please don't take our sunshine away."
Then they both kissed my cheeks and Papa Aizawa started to tickle my sides while Papa Hizashi quickly grabbed my bass guitar and set it to the side and joined in making me squeal from laughter.
(Bakugo's point of view)
The clothes were a little big luckily, but it wasn't that noticeable. The lizard had thought of that and put a belt with the clothes just in case. It wasn't a bad style in fact it was pretty basic. I was wearing the shirt she had gotten me along with a pair of dark jeans that looked nice. I had angrily brushed my teeth and set it in the empty cup where she had left a note as well.
When you're done just leave the toothbrush here in case this happens again no one uses this bathroom really. I have my own in my room and my parents have one in their room and we normally don't have guest over. Another thing just leave Papa Aizawa's clothes in the bathroom hamper next to the door.

I crumpled up the note and threw it in the trash can and threw the clothes I borrowed in the hamper then exited the bathroom. What was odd is that I heard music being played though it sounded odd. Like there was a part missing to the song. I went down the stairs to see Serenity playing a bass guitar while Hizashi was on playing a guitar and Hizashi and Aizawa Sensei were both singing as well. The song was a lullaby that I hadn't heard in a while. My mother sang it to me a long time ago and I used to practice it a band camp. They hadn't noticed me since the couch they were sitting on was facing the other way. Aizawa Sensei could see me, but he didn't notice I was there. Instead, he was focused on Lizard.
They were on the last bit of the song and Aizawa Sensei went and put a hand on Lizard's head avoiding her fin and Hizashi set his guitar to the side while Lizard played the last notes. It was a sweet moment with her parents. They both kissed her cheeks and then I learned that she was ticklish as Aizawa Sensei started tickling her while Hizashi Sensei took her bass guitar and set it to the side and went to tickle her as well.
She was squealing with laughter and I didn't think I could hear such a sweet sound from her. Nor such a happy one. I didn't realize that I was smiling myself as I leaned against the stair rail.
"Look at that beautiful smile." Hizashi said as he hugged lizards face causing her to laugh. I couldn't see her smile since they were facing the other way, but it made me wonder what it looked like, and if I would get to see it.
"Papa!" she pretended to whine but was laughing too much. I chuckled a little causing everyone's to turn towards me. Lizard was still laughing a little as she turned and moved out of Hizashi Sense's hug and I saw someone different. I have never seen her make such a cute face. I didn't know she could smile like that. It was a real genuine smile with her fangs showing, and I wasn't expecting that from what she went through last night.
(Serenity's point of view)
I heard a chuckle from someone behind us and turned around to see who it was. I completely forgot that Bakugo was hear for a moment and my face turned red with embarrassment as my eyes met his.
"Hey Bakugo, h-how long have you been standing there?" I asked with my eyes looking to the side a little
"Long enough Lizard." He smirked making me even more flustered as he moved from the staircase into the living room and sat down in the blue chair he sat in last night. He pulled out the paper he torn from my journal last night.
"You want to go over this?" He asked and I sighed. It wasn't really something I wanted to go over right now. Besides, I've had it stuck in my head for years I can think about it anytime I want really. I looked down at my feet and shook my head.
"Not really. S-sorry. I want to but-"
"Look up Lizard." I looked up to see him glaring at me slightly and remembered what he told me when I handed him the stuff, I got him.
"S-sorry…. Um anyways as I was saying, I kind of just want to live a normal day for once." I said nervous about what he was going to say, but to my surprise he just nodded.
"Okay. What do you want to do?" He asked me surprising everyone.
"Um…." I didn't know what I wanted to do today really until Papa Aizawa spoke up.
"Serenity why don't you go to the ice rink with Bakugo." I looked at him surprised, but also a little excited. I hadn't gone in a while and to be honest that would be the perfect place to go to right now since I have been using my quirk a lot lately.
"Okay!" I said, but then stopped.
"S-sorry I almost forgot. Bakugo is that okay with you?" He nodded and stood up.
"Let's go." He said with a smirk and I smiled. We went and put our shoes one and headed to the ice rink.
(Bakugo's point of view)
(at the ice rink)
Lizard and I got our skates and went on the ice. I didn't skate much, but I at least knew the basics Lizard on the other hand told me that she comes her a lot normally and can do some tricks. She also doesn't usually skate with others and apologized to me if she skated ahead of me since she would most likely do that.
Not many people were there. In fact, the place seemed pretty much empty. She smiled at this slightly and gave me a look a had never seen before.
"Wanna race?" She asked causing me to smirk.
"You'll lose lizard."
"Oh, I doubt that." She said
"Can we use our quirks?" I asked and she shook her head
"Idiot it's a public place." She said playfully, and I smiled more
"Any other rules I "have" to follow?" I asked sarcastically making her chuckle
"Let's see, it will be 3 laps and tricks are allowed if you know any, avoid people, and you can't go through the middle." She said
"Okay and what does the winner get?" I asked shocking her slightly
"What do you mean?"
"Oh, come on a challenge isn't fun if you don't win anything. Otherwise, we won't try as hard." I said making her think for a second.
"Well, how about loser pays for dinner before we go back to the dorms." She said making me smile
"Alright. Now what about who wins?" I asked and she shrugged her shoulders at me.
"I don't know. I've never had the chance to do a challenge like this before. What do you want?" She asked and it made me smirk.
"If I win you have to do whatever I want for a day. The same goes for you if you win. Sound fair?" I smirked. She was gonna lose, because even though I can't do tricks I am still fast on ice.
"Deal." She smiled and went off.
"HEY WAIT A MINUTE LIZARD! I DIDN'T SAY GO!" I shouted at her
"WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE A KID?" she shouted back
"YOU CHEAT! I shouted and then went after her. She did a trick where she spun and started to skate backwards and smile that damn cute smile again.
"SORRY CAN HEAR YOU IM TOO BUSY WINNING." She said but wasn't paying attention and bumped into the wall of the rink. Not too rough but it caught her by surprise and gave me the chance I needed to catch up and past her laughing.
"THAT'S WHAT YOU GET LIZARD!" I shouted as she started to catch up to me. She was fast as she got next to me again and started laughing.
"Is this really the fastest you can go?" She asked teasingly
"You haven't passed me so how are you any better?" I asked smugly to which she smiled her cute smile again, that showed off her fangs.
"Like this." She spun herself and skated backwards again and then grabbed my arm and spun me the other direction and skated ahead again.
"HEY THAT'S CHEATING!" I yelled at her again. That Lizard was so dead
"I SAID TRICKS WERE ALLOWED SO IT'S ACTUALLY NOT." She yelled back as I turned and skated after her again. We had gone over two laps already and I finally caught up to her near the end of the 3rd. She smirked and then tried to use the backwards trick again however this time I kept a hold of her arm this time.
"EX-CATAPULT!" I shouted. I didn't throw her like I'd normally would with others, than again I wasn't using my quirk, but I made her skate back the wrong way. I turned back around before she could get the chance to catch up and finished the 3rd lap. I put my fist in the air.
"YEAH I WIN!" I shouted and Lizard caught up with me out of breath but smiling like a dumbass.
"So, I wasn't expecting that." She said putting a hand on the side of her neck
"So I lost huh."
"Yeah, you lost so you're paying for dinner." I said smirking at her
"Alright, alright, and I have to do whatever you want for a day right?" I then grinned at her trying to scare her this time.
"Damn right. So, let's go Lizard." Instead, she smiled her cute smile with fangs again at me.
"As you wish." She said, making me chuckle. I have never seen this side of her before. I kind of like it.
"Alright then we are going to go to my favorite place." I said as we removed our skates and left the ice-skating rink. We headed to my favorite ramen place where they have the best Spicy noodles. When we got there, she took a mall breath of relief that I didn't drag her to pay for something expensive.
We sat down and got our food. I ordered my noodles, and she ordered some Tonkotsu ramen.
"Itadakimasu." We said and we started to enjoy our food and I got an idea. The spicy noodles here were the best but not many people can handle them like I can. I wonder if she can.
"Oi Lizard."
"Yeah?"
"Try some of this its awesome." She gave me an apologetic look.
"S-sorry I don't eat spicy food much it." I smirked
"This is going to be fun then." I said as she looked at me confused for a moment and then it clicked that I wasn't asking.
"Oh no."
"Come on Lizard you have to. Unless you're going to go back on your word." I said in a low voice. She glared at me for a moment.
"Give me the noodles." She said and I chuckled
"You don't have to eat the whole thing just a bite." I said and she looked at me cautiously
"Just a bite? Any bite?" She asked
"As long as it's moderate." I answered and she looked at me curiously. She sighed after a moment and then surprised me by eating a huge bite and pushed the bowl back towards me. However, even though she took a big bite she didn't handle it well, and I was dying of laughter.
Her face had gone completely red and her eyes began to water, and I swear she had steam coming out of her ears. By the time she swallowed I had tears coming out of my eyes from laughing so hard. She was coughing and going after her water which I stopped her from doing before she burned her mouth even more and gave her some of my drink. Even though I love spicy foods sometimes, sometimes I go overboard and need to cool off.
She accepted it and downed it making me laugh even more. I can handle the rest of the noodles without it so it was okay.
"You alright lizard." She gave me a thumbs up but her face said otherwise as it was still red and she was still coughing a little.
"How do you eat that?" She asked when she finally regained some composure
"How can you not. You're a dragon, aren't you?"
"Oh, Ha, ha, ha just because I'm a dragon doesn't mean I can breath fire." She says
"Oh then what can you do."
"Screech your ears off like my Papa can." She said as a comeback which made me smirk.
"Oh, yeah."
"Yeah, I can at least do a dragon cry."
"Nice." I said. It was nice to learn a little more about her.
We finished our food and we started heading back to the dorms. She was a little quite though until we got on to campus. We were about to part ways since we stay in different dorms.
"Hey Bakugo, thank you." Lizard said and I turned to her.
"For what?"
"For giving me a normal day." She said and looked at me and I noticed a few tears fall from her golden eyes making me sigh.
"Oi, stop." I said as I wiped the tears from her face, and she looked a little shocked for a moment. She must have not realized she was crying again.
"I know that this sucks for you. It breaks you over and over don't let this control your life okay. Live it the way you choose." She stared at me for a moment and then nodded.
"I'll try." I sighed and hugged her head
"Don't just try, show me you can." I said as I let her go and turned to walk away. I looked over my shoulder back at her and saw her holding on to her fang around her neck.
"Ich wünschte, das wäre eine Lüge." (I wish this was a lie)
I didn't understand what she said. It must have been in German, but I didn't turn around to ask her. Its not my job to save her from herself, but I hope my advice gave her some peace of mind, and I hope that I can see that smile from her again soon.
I saw her look down and sigh and turn to go to her dorm. I'll bring Kirishima with me tomorrow and see how things go. Tomorrow is Sunday so we don't have school tomorrow either, but we do have some training. She would enjoy that I think.
