Chapter 13: Superpowers

"There he is" - said Johnny pointing where Doom was with everybody around him still trying to stop him

"You think we should go or wait for the others?" - I ask just when Doom shoot some kind of electrical energy to everybody around making cars explode around while people were running for cover - "ok, that answers my question" - I say shooting my green energy beam to Doom who flinched when the energy hit him

"What the fuck?" - I heard him complain looking around - "where are you Emmet?" - he asked and I shoot another beam to him but he hold one of his hands up absorbing the energy of it - "there you are" - he said pointing his hand at my direction but before he could shoot back at me with the energy he absorbed from my attack Johnny shoot a fireball to him making him grunt and turning to look at him mad

"Guess what asshole, I'm alive" - said Johnny

"Kinda late to the party torch guy" - said Falcon addressing Johnny's presence

"I like to think more like fashionable late" - said Johnny defending himself and Doom was about to shoot Johnny a blast but I distracted him with my own beam

"Can you guys save the social interaction for later? We got a problem here" - I complained to both of them

"Who said that?" - asked Falcon looking around

"Doesn't matter, why don't we shoot back at him as he was about to do the same at us" - I suggest and Johnny does turn around to throw a fireball at Doom

While Johnny was shooting fireballs at him, I shoot my beam from other direction and the rest of the people shoot at him with their weapons event they didn't have much effect on him, Doom was getting mad as he couldn't evade our combined attacks quickly and we thought we could overpower him but the next time I shoot a beam at him he absorb it and expanded the energy from his body pushing everybody around and even made me turn back to flesh and land on the ground with Johnny close by, guess he could get me as he used my own energy against me.

"The two of you alone even with your superior abilities are just as pathetic as this people around us" - said Doom as he was preparing to shoot another blast to us when a manhole cover suddenly hit him sending him back

"They are not alone" - said Reed as he untangled his arms from a light pole that he used to make his arms into a improvise slingshot to throw the manhole cover to Doom

"Is that so? What if I throw this back at you Richards?" - asked Doom as he used some kind of energy from his hands to pick up the manhole cover to throw it at Richards but it didn't collide against Reed

"I can't let you do that" - said Sue letting the manhole cover down that had a force field around made by her to stop it

"Hello Susan" - said Doom - "seems like you guys are lacking a member of the team" - he teased referring to Ben

"We are more than enough to stop you" - said Johnny flaming on again standing in formation next to Sue and I move to stand next to him

"This is going to be fun" - said Doom as electricity course through his body

Doom shoots energy bolts our way but Sue used force fields to protect almost everybody but then one of the bolts glances off her force field smashing into a truck and people around it were about to get hurt by the explosion of the truck but Reed stretches his arm to grab the people to move them away from the explosion.

Johnny and Falcon fly away from the force field formation and throw fireballs and shoot to Doom while evading his electrical bolts, I didn't wanted to keep using my beam as he can absorb it and used it against us, so I stand around the barricade of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and turn to see Winter Soldier grabbing a huge cannon to shoot at Doom, I see that the weapon starts to charge what it looks like a laser and realize that the asshole could absorb that one as well.

"NO" - I scream but it's too late and he shoots at Doom

Doom at first is startle by the attack but then he starts to absorb the energy from the laser, I shoot a beam at the cannon making it explode to stop it's attack at him so he stops absorbing, but it was too late and he used the energy to shoot at us, thankfully Sue was protecting us again with a force field but she seemed to struggle harder than with the electricity, even her nose was bleeding

"Reed...can't...hold...on..." - grunted Sue complaining

But she didn't need to stop the force field when something huge lands in front of Doom stopping his attack to us, when the smokes clear we see it's Ben back in rock form, he grabs Doom and smash him on the ground two times before throw him away.

"Guys, I think I can stop him if I go inside his body, but you guys need to come out with a plan, I don't think he will be easy to control" - I say

"I got an idea, go and stop him from moving" - ordered Reed while I float in Phantom form towards Doom getting inside his body - "Johnny supernova" - he ordered

"But I thought you say that was bad" - countered Johnny

"NOW" - said Reed exasperated

I see Johnny charges toward me/Doom flaming his body engulfing around us, I can't feel anything as Doom, but I bet he is gonna feel this one when I get out of him, Johnny explodes in a pulse of bright white light and heat up everything around us.

"Sue, I need some of that anger, rage, frustration, anything and everything, make a force field and contain the flames around Doom" - ordered Reed

I see how the flames don't move too far from us and I guess Sue created a force field that could contain the flames around me/Doom, when Johnny light up even brighter, I see Sue closing her eyes while Ben turns around extending his arms to block the crowd of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, Falcon does the same turning around extending his wings and Reed expands his body like a big curtain, I really couldn't be bother as I don't feel anything in ghost form even inside someone else's body.

Finally, Johnny's supernova fades and he collapses to the ground, exhausted, smoking, Sue exhales and falls to her knees and I took the cue to leave Doom's body and go to kneel next to Johnny turning back to normal and helping him up while we all heard a metal moving behind us and turn to see Doom's metallic body glowing, Winter Soldier, Falcon and the rest of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents point their guns at him.

"Is that the best you can do?" - Asked Doom to Reed - "a little heat?" - He mocks

"Time for a little lesson Doom" - said Reed with a smirk - "Chem 101: what happens when you supercool hot metal?" - He asked as he turned to look at a hydrant close to Grimm - "Ben..." - trailed Reed

"Got it, teach" - said Ben

Ben kicks open the fire hydrant making the water geyser up but he quickly kicks down with his foot deflecting the water spraying it towards Reed who twists his torso so the water curls around his chest, races down his arms and shoots right off his wrist towards Doom.

"NO" - screamed Doom trying to rush toward Reed but the water douses him and a giant cloud of steam fills the air from the cooling metal while he screams

After a couple of seconds Ben closes the hydrant and Doom is blocked from the view by stream clouds rolling around, but they slowly fade revealing Doom who was now turned into a cold solid piece of metal statue, he couldn't move, we couldn't heard anything coming from him and we all exhale knowing that we won, we are heroes...wait no...superheroes.

"Damn, I love this job" - cheered Johnny

"Job, huh?" - Asked Ben and Johnny just shrug at him

"Ben you are rock again" - said Sue

"I used the machine, I'm sorry but I couldn't let you guys have all the glory" - joked Ben making us chuckle - "besides like I told you guys, I'm in blame for this just like all of you for that asshole getting away with more power" - he added

"So you guys released that psycho?" - asked Falcon to us

"We can explain that" - said Reed - "he was with us on the space mission and was helping us build the machine to help us go back to normal, we didn't know he had powers and he tricked us to-" - he started to ramble

"Hey" - interrupted Falcon - "it's fine, we know, Fury explain us the situation" - he added with a smirk - "he didn't told us you guys will join us, but I'm glad you guys did, good job" - he said extending his hand to Reed

"Thanks, glad to help" - said Reed

"You almost blow my arm shooting at my cannon" - said Winter Soldier to me making me nervous - "but really nice going" - he said coming close to shake my hand but before he could reach my hand Johnny stepped between us

"Thanks man" - said Johnny shaking his hand while his other hand find his way around my hips like to reassure that I was with him or something

"I'm sorry, but what are you going?" - I asked to him confused

"Don't think I didn't saw the look in your eyes" - said Johnny arching an eyebrow at me

"You are impossible Storm" - I said to him rolling my eyes, can't blame him for being jealous as I was actually eyeing Winter Soldier, the dude is hot

"But not impossible to you" - said Johnny before giving me a quick peck

"Finally you two" - said Sue with a smirk

"You own me 50 bucks" - said Ben to Reed who groaned

A/N: And this is how the Fantastic Four + Phantom are finally a thing! Now I know you all may have expected a bigger battle against Doom but like I said before this is a mix of events of the 2005 film and is for a reason...But anyway we are almost at the end of this story guys like super close and I have a surprise for you, so keep an eye on this one (and the other one on this same universe).
