Harry waited, having just rung the bell on a rather good sized house. He liked the houses in America, they didn't stint on size.

Even then, this was a good size. But in reality the Argent family was really rather well off. They ran arms and ammunition as well as more to fund their hunting exploits and it made them good money. It was highly likely that they brought their weapons from him, or at least one of his subsidiaries.

The door opened and Allison was there looking gorgeous. She'd changed, and Harry nearly drooled over her.

She wore a fairly short skirt, tight blouse and heels all in colours that brought out those dark Romany eyes of hers, and dear god he adored this girls legs.

Harry could spend HOURS with those legs given half the chance. Still, it was odd she'd changed. He was in the semi-formal suit he'd worn to school having decided this was going to be his personal style from now on.

Tony rarely wore a full suit, but Harry rather liked them, so he would. Mostly, Tony was rather his role model, and a weird sort of friend/big brother icon in his life. Something he'd never had before, but he did set out to ape the man somewhat, even if that didn't spread to the suits he now wore.

"Harry" she said with a warm smile, "Right on time" she said, she looked around, "No car?" she said talking about his rocket with a sound system he'd purchased as a fun car.

He also had a much more business like one that he'd not yet used. It was a huge Bentley Continental that had more thrust than a jet engine and was one of the most expensive production cars in the world.

"Nah - walked," he said, lying his arse off. He'd actually flown. He did so love to fly after all. No one really seemed to be able to see him when he did so, unless he wanted them to. He could take off in front of Allison right now, and she would be none the wiser.

"Come on in" she said.

"Don't do that" he said, "Just step back. This isn't a haven for the demonic breeds because werewolves like to use them as chew toys, but inviting people in after dark is a bad idea!"

"Sure, sure," Allison said looking around nervously.

"Don't worry – no one is listening." Harry said stepping up beside her, actually very close to her. They both shivered at the closeness and Allison suddenly got an idea.

"Wait" she said, and then leaned in, kissing him gently at first. Then something sparked between them, it was primal – powerful, and ancient, and suddenly the kiss got a whole lot more intense, until finally Harry backed her away.

"Did you feel that," Allison said, holding her mouth.

"Urh…" Harry said, "We should go in" he said, "Then you can tell me what that was about!" He added.

"We need to make this look good; right?" she said with an elegant shrug of slender shoulders, a serious twinkle in her eyes.

He walked slightly ahead of her, and her eyes dipped down a naughty smile on her face as she watched him walk. She could eat him with a spoon, and perhaps a selection of toppings, she wanted him badly.

Harry walked into the dining room, then winced theatrically. "Oh dear" he said acting perfectly as he spotted Chris and Kate there, already waiting for Allison and her guest/new boyfriend.

Kate went wide eyed, Chris went into a flat blue stare and Allison walked into a very awkward room. "Urh…"

"I will quickly say in my defence that Allison and I weren't going out until today." Harry said with a disarming smile. Then mumbled, "I'm not entirely sure it would've stopped me though." Just loud enough for Kate to pick up.

She laughed, as he figured she would, but Chris did NOT look amused.

"What's going on?" Allison asked.

"Why don't you go and get that thing you promised me. I'll deal with this" Harry said with a smile, "I've got this – go on." He said.

"Right; I'll be right back." She said walking off.

He turned back to the now hostile room. "I'm guessing we have a problem here?" He questioned, though in reality he was well aware that they did.

"You think!" Kate asked sarcastically. "Last night you were kissing me, and now…now, you're kissing the girl I think of as a little sister."

"Saw that, huh," he said carefully.

"Didn't see your face until you walked in though." Kate said, "What the fuck?"

"Like I said, until today I was a totally free agent."

"You also said it might not have stopped you!" Chris said flatly.

"No – I don't think it really would. I believe in a more 'Modern' view on relationships and Allison knows that." Harry said, knowing he was putting himself into deeper water, and doing so on purpose. This would give her plenty of time to find the rounds used. "So I hear you're in arms…oddly so am I. I also hear you carry heavy." He said abrubtly changing topics on them. This kept them slightly off balance and Harry was all for that currently.

"Yes, yes, I do!" Chris said pointedly.

"Can I see it?"

Chris eyed him, then reached behind his back and pulled out the huge hand canon that was the Israeli Desert Eagle.

Harry walked over and took it from him, "You hand me a loaded weapon," he asked reproachfully. Then he popped the clip, racked the slide and caught the flying brass with his other hand. Then he stripped the 50 calibre down and placed the pieces on the table.

"I felt it a good idea to do that." Harry said with a half smile. "You looked around about ready to use it on me. By the way – that's one of mine." He said pointing to the makers mark. "Slightly shoddy issue that, I'd look at getting this year's release if I were you, it's far superior."

Kate looked at him steadily, "So you think you and Allison are open…I don't think so."

"You don't" Harry said, "and what makes you think that?"

"No one treats my niece like that!"

"I would only ever treat Allison with all the respect she is due as one HELL of a woman" Harry said, "I wouldn't do anything to hurt her – or you."

Kate's eyes went wide, "Are you…"

Harry smiled, turning to Chris, "I can promise you that I would never hurt her intentionally, and she really does know the score and agreed to it" he said, this was a hedge, but then it was a sham anyway, and given the look on her father's face she was about to be banned from seeing him anyway.

Harry picked up a shell, popping it out of the slide to do so, "Interesting round" he noted. "I heard about PT night," he said, his eyes turning hard. "You used this to kill a cougar I hear. Such a sporting weapon I think." He said turning the round over his fingers, "This is enough to make a hole the size of a dinner plate in any animal."

"You have a problem with hunting?" Chris asked, looking like he'd sucked a lemon. He wasn't THAT sort of hunter but he did still come across the occasional liberal type and fell afoul of them, and their views.

"Not in the least," Harry replied surprising him, "I've done a fair bit myself over the years." He added further shocking Chris, "I just believe in making it a fair fight…this isn't a fair weapon. Against a cougar, well…I do like cats." He said, tossing the round in the air, and then suddenly it was on the table top, rocking slightly. They didn't even see him move.

"You should be very careful using weapons like those." He said, "I've learned to respect guns" he said, "I think they really only have one use. Killing and let me make it clear, that killing is NOT hunting."

Kate exchanged a look with Chris and back again – he knew, he certainly knew. She looked at the gorgeous younger man, and felt that heat again. Dear GOD she wanted him so badly that she was damp already, and he knew – how about making him perfect.

Of course Allison would kill her, being open was one thing, but with her nieces boyfriend, perhaps not a great idea. But then Kate rarely found men who could keep up with her, this was one such – she knew it deeply.

"What are you?" Chris asked, he was calm, relaxed, his eyes cold.

Harry leaned down, his hands flat on the table and looked into Chris' interesting eyes, pale blue, a dark rim, and ice in them. "You know me by Harry, Harry Noir, but that isn't my real name Mr Argent. I've been hunting in the dark since I was eleven years old. I have firm views on what should be hunted and what should not. Cursed humans who are just trying to come to terms with their affliction are not something to be hunted."

"We only…"

"Hunt those that hunt us?" Harry finished for Kate, who had spoken. He looked at her, "I do so very much hope you're all sticking to that."

"Have you told Allison any of this?" Chris said tightly.

Harry smiled tightly, "No" he lied, "You should, in my opinion."

"I think we're done here…except one last thing…what's your real name if Noir isn't."

"It's still Harry…only it's actually Harry Potter"

Chris sat back, letting out an explosive sound, then he suddenly smiled, "Well now – that's an interesting name!"

Kate looked at Chris, who smiled again, "He took down the flight of death. Apparently it was a hell of a battle."

Harry snorted, "There was no battle, and trust me I was there. There was me, a friend and him…he died."

Chris nodded, "Well at least I know she's safe with you I suppose." He said and laughed slightly. Harry couldn't help but like the man with the way he was handling this. "But I'm not so sure I agree with your views on relationships."

"That's between Allison and me, I would say" Harry said seriously.

"You hurt her, I don't care WHO you are, and I'll hurt you back." Chris said as seriously.

"Oh, and I would deserve it Mr Argent." Harry said, then looked up at Kate and winked.

Chris groaned as Kate winked back.

Allison chose that moment to come back into the room to find Kate was looking at Harry like hanging meat, her father groaning and Harry leaning over him with a smile on his face. She'd known he wouldn't be scared, but it looked like the shoe was on the other foot –which was weird to say the least.

"For now, I approve, I think," Chris said, "But like I said…"

"Understood sir" Harry said leaning back and smiling, "Now I believe Allison and I were going to do some homework or something" he said walking to the shocked girl. She slung an arm in the crook of his elbow and then tugged him away.

Kate smiled wickedly, and then sighed suddenly.

"Don't you dare..."

Kate grinned massively.

"That was real!" Harry said with a mild smile, "But I think I kept them distracted long enough; yes?"

"You could say that. I had no problems and Scott was waiting just outside. So I just handed him the round. Derek should be fine by now, I suspect." Allison said, leading him to the garage. Two SUV's were there and a lot of weapon racks stacked with arms.

Harry noted them, "All this never gave you a clue?"

"He sells weapons, he has to have samples on site" Allison said then sighed. "But I suppose it should've. And there's this" she said picking up a compound bow, latching an arrow and lifting it to eye level, "I'm scary good with this thing."

"I should very much hope so. Now that is a hunting weapon, aim right - its kill, aim right - its wound and disable. It's perfect for wolves with utility arrows and can kill a demonic vampire in a single shot. That weapon is STILL the pinnacle of hunting weapons and your family has been using them since they were invented for the second time. It's not only ingrained, it's a natural extension of your body." Harry said seriously.

"If you weren't good with it I'd be worried. You'll find a natural affinity for older weapons and styles. Darling, with your blood line you could give a bloody Slayer a good kicking."

"I read about those, demonic or something but not on the hunting list. It was in that book you gave me."

"They fight for the light" Harry said. "I'm no fan of how they were empowered the poor bitch, but they fight for the light. You do not want to face a dark Slayer, but they are very rare."

He looked at her still holding the notched arrow and smiled, "You know I can teach you how to really use that thing."

She smirked, "I've won medals for my archery."

"Good, but how long, for instance, did you have to make the shot?"

"Pretty much as long as I liked," she said confused, "What are you saying?"

"I'll teach you to notch, fire, and forget in a millisecond. You and I, we're products of something I'd like to call mystical DNA imprinting. In other words our DNA hails all the way back to Arch Mages and Romany Clans fighting the big fight. I know how to do what they used to have to do. And you're capable of doing it. I wasn't kidding; you could take a Slayer, with training. You'd do it completely 100% humanly because you'd be just that good."

Allison looked at him for a long moment, "Alright then, teach me!" She said, "But I do want to know how it is you know this. There are no records from that time, nothing oral even if you said we were forced back to primordial ooze and had to evolve again – so how do you know all this?"

"I told you, I have an ancient source of information, much older than that even. Just because we didn't 'survive' as such, please, don't take it to mean nothing did." Harry said, "There are some staggeringly old beings in the universe, and some older even, than this universe."

"That is ... scary information. Why are you sharing this all with me? You're showing me a lot of trust."

"I told you that too Allison. You're like me, perhaps one of, what 10 left, that really hails from back then. That's a short list of people I can relate to."

She smiled slightly, "I'm glad you feel you can relate to me."

Harry smiled slightly too, suddenly aware that she was getting closer, he took a step backwards, checking his phone. "I should go. I have a meeting tomorrow and I need to catch a flight."

"Where are you off to this time," she asked with an internal sigh.

"Canada, some Fae ritual about the land and the fact I own it all and have to be there for it." Harry said, "Their leader is supposed to copulate with the land, or something, but they can't actually do it without me around. It's my land there in Toronto believe it or not, and they need me there."

"That's…weird?"

"Just the tip of the iceberg and you need to cap that attitude. This is YOUR world too." Harry said looking at her sharply. "You'll touch a great many ancient cultures if you take over this family, and you seem to want to. Having a good attitude and awareness will only stand you in good stead."

"Sorry" she mumbled, looking down. A finger touched the bottom of her chin and tipped up her face to look in to his deleterious eyes.

"Always, ALWAYS look them in the eye. Soon if I was to be that rude to you, you'd be forced to react. You're going to be leader darling Allison. Start being one now."

She nodded firmly, "Then I have to react then."

Harry smiled, "I suppose you do."

She leaned in suddenly, kissing him and again he felt a spike of something magically extra going through him. He almost didn't want to pull away, but he did, looking into aroused dark eyes, "What's in your head?"

"Taking what I want…be warned, I intend to finish what I just started." She said huskily.

"Urh…you know I'm a total tom cat – right?"

She nodded a smile in her eyes, "What if I didn't care…what if I want you anyway?"

"I'd say you need to think long and hard on what that would entail first."

"Already have, I broke up with Scott for a reason after all."

"I had a feeling you didn't much like me?"

"Frustration, like you said." Allison replied a slight smile on her face.

"I have to go –we'll talk on this, at length." Harry said, turning and walking away, straight out the garage side door. This, as far as Allison knew, was always locked. But then he'd virtually admitted he was a throwback to an Arch Mage. This meant magic was real and he could do it, this was as well as werewolves and everything else thought to be myth and mystery.

She'd known from the book about magic, but now she suspected she'd just seen some. In fact she was aware she'd forced him to do it without thought because he was rattled.

This put a VERY femine smile on to her face.

"Dyson, a moment!" Trick the barkeep and keeper of the Way Station called to a close personal friend and someone that had helped him many times in the past.

The tall, good looking and bearded man walked over with his usual natural grace, smiling good naturedly. "What's the matter" he asked more seriously when he caught the look on Trick's face.

"Over there, by the piano- that's a human, I'm sure of it. I don't know how he's here, but he's been here all night - just watching. I know he's human, but I can sense his magic from over here. He's a dangerous customer. I am hoping you can...misdirect him somewhere else; failing that, use your credentials as a cop to move him on."

Dyson followed Tricks gaze, seeing a black haired, black suited in entirety, with green eyes man. He was just sat there, looking around, a slight smile on his face. He didn't seem to be making any overt moves, other than brushing off the various woman that seemed interested.

Dyson nodded, then strode over, and looked down at the man, meeting his eyes unflinchingly. Not only was he well trained, he was a Warrior and a Lycan, and he was a seasoned Cop. He'd seen and done things that would likely send this man running for the hills. He was met with a flat Emerald stare. He looked into the man's eyes for a long moment, then turned and walked away.

"What happened? I thought you were going to get rid of him?" Trick asked

"Get rid of whom?" Dyson asked, looking around in confusion.

"There" Trick said nodding subtly.

Dyson looked, "Nope - don't see a thing."

"Right...that's interesting, and perhaps calls for a softer touch." Trick said reaching for the old Bakalite phone on the counter.

Ten minutes later, two familiar feminine forms walked into the bar. One taller, the other rather diminutive both dark haired and beautiful, one with pretty dark eyes the other with honestly startling ice blue ones. They were regular customers, if you could call people that never paid customers. Of course they did other things, so Trick didn't mind so much. It wasn't like he was really running a business here anyway, after all.

"What's up trickster?" The shortest and by far the most bubbly of the two asked. She was too a human, but had proven to be able to handle the secret of the Fae, even protecting it and them at times, numerous times really.

"Over there, the man with black hair." Trick said with a suble nod of his head in that direction.

"Oh Yum!" Bo said eyes turning sultry.

"Uh huh" the shorter, Kenzi said in total agreement.

"Whatever his attractiveness. He's human and probably shouldn't be here. I sent over Dyson, and now Dyson can't even see him anymore. I was hoping you, Bo, would be able to 'convince' him to move on, and perhaps make sure he doesn't come back. Something about him is ringing alarm bells."

"Oh – he's ringing my bell!" Kenzi said, "I'll do it."

"Probably better Bo does this" Trick said quickly, "Her special touch may be required.

"Okay!" Bo said enthusiastically, tossing her long dark brown hair back and straightening her shoulders.

Dyson rolled his eyes, if anything Bo was looking for a meal, but if the invisible man was gone he could put up with it. Bo and he weren't an item or anything, even if he did have growing feelings for her.

Bo walked over to the troublesome customer, and smiled enticingly, "Hey there."

"Hello gorgeous," the man said, then smiled faintly, "Bye now!"

Bo turned around and walked away looking faintly confused.

"Oh!" Trick said, "This is going to be tricky, he seems to have some sort of mental ability." He said.

"Who does?" Bo said confused.

"Never mind," Trick said, and then saw Kenzi looking at him hopefully.

"Can't hurt to try right Trickster!" Kenzi said with a winning smile. In truth she was dying to get over there, that man was pulling at her so strongly she was actually slowly growing moist. She couldn't keep her eyes of him and frankly she was nearly drooling all over her recently acquired shoes.

"Can't hurt, he seems to have no violent intent." Trick said, "He's just…watching us. I don't like it, he may be a reporter, or spy, or something, find out what he wants – if you can."

Kenzi pushed off the stool she'd hooked a hip on and then strode over.

Ice blue met Emerald green eyes and Harry was about to send her on her way, despite the fact he wanted her BADLY. When suddenly 'STOP' was screamed into his head.

He then for the first time, but not for the last, got a mental download that staggered him and had he not been already sat down he would've fallen ass over tea-kettle.

He blinked, new knowledge appearing in his head.

All about Perfect Sexual Partner Principles and Soul Mates and the fact this stunner was not only the first but the second at the same time, oh and by the way – so was Allison, sorry I didn't tell you sooner, kind of download from his patron.

He was annoyed, but she wasn't human, her thoughts didn't work that way, but apparently it had just occurred to her that not only should she tell him that, but these would make perfect members of his family to stay alive with him.

Apparently there was more information to come, something deadly important to the continuation of that family and the stability, but she wasn't saying yet. She then told him to do what she'd basically trained him to be and get this woman into bed.

Why she'd 'trained' him to be able to do that, well only she knew! Not that he was complaining. The benefits rather outweighed the annoyance value of being manipulated. This included the fact that obviously, part of that was the edge put into him by Tempe's Final Lesson.

"Hi! Those are just the most beautiful eyes I've seen in my entire life" Harry said, "Take a load off."

Kenzi beamed at him, taking a seat suddenly very grateful she wore a skirt that day as his eyes flicked over currently rather stunningly defined legs and then back to her eyes. She nearly preened at the look of pure desire and admiration in his equally beautiful eyes and gave him a killer smile. "I was about to use the same line!"

Harry laughed, blushing slightly of all he odd things to do. But there was something different about this girl, and obviously it was the Soul Matefactor. The same way he basically found himself doing anything Allison wanted him to do. If he wanted to do it or not!

They had a direct line to his heart. That scared the piss out of him! But hey! Soul mates, that had to mean something – right?

"So we're equally impressed with each other's eyes," Harry said, "Perhaps you can tell me why the short guy keeps trying to get rid of me. He's not doing that to you, and you're as …well you're human." He said smiling.

"You know…all this" she said waving a hand around. Glancing back to find all her friends could now see the man again and were watching them like hawks.

"Oh, you could say that! Frankly, he's going to be kicking himself when he finds out why I'm here and who I actually am." Harry said, "But enough about that! Who are you? What do you like doing? And when can we go and do it?"

Kenzi did a double take. Then burst into delighted trilling laughter, slapping the table lightly in fits of laughter. "Ohhh I like you!"

"I should very much hope so! I return that like and multiply it with an offer for…well let's call it dinner."

Kenzi laughed again, her eyes bright as she looked at him, "I'm not hungry for food."

"I know the feeling exactly, but otherwise I'm bloody ravenous right now."

"You think I'll just jump into bed with you?" she asked amused.

"Either that or I throw you in, or who needs a bed?" Harry said seriously then cracked a smile. "I think you and I could be…epic!"

"I have a weird feeling you're right, but I'm not here for me. I've been asked to find out what you're doing here?"

"Alright, I'll tell you that, I'll tell you all, shall we?" he asked, standing and offering her a hand up.

She took it, a shock of electrical thrill going through them both, leaving Kenzi leaning against him for support as her legs nearly gave out to total and utter desire.

"Holy cow!" She exclaimed.

"Right there with ya!" Harry said, his pupils almost fully dilated. That was ten times more powerful than kissing Allison, dear GOD he and this woman would be epic together.

"Let's get the work over and done with! Then we'll go play." Kenzi said her voice husky.

"That's a sudden turn around."

"With what I just felt…I'm tempted to take you out back, here and now."

"Oh, that sounds good to me, screw them…let's go do that."

"Uh-uh lover boy, first things first," Kenzi said her eyes flashing with desire.

Harry laughed, and then led her to her friends. "Greetings" he said in the ancient language of Fae everywhere, Bo looked blank but both Dyson and Trick understood him just fine. "I'm the land owner, and I believe you needed to talk to me." He continued in the same language.

"Yes, yes, we do. Why not make yourself known when you arrived? I could've arranged something special, a feast, better beer." Trick said self consciously.

"All the better to find out if the land was happy…she isn't" Harry said switching back to English. "But that said, I don't think that's the Fae's fault either. There's a large demonic presence in the land, it's a taint that's not making her happy."

"Yes, in the underground sewers." Trick said.

Kenzi shuddered, "Vampires" she spat, a hint of an accent that was nothing like they'd heard from her before, coming to the fore.

Bo looked at her in shock.

"I lived down there Bobo, I'm well versed in Vampires and Demons." Kenzi said with another shudder.

Harry slung an arm around a very slender waist and pulled her in tight. "I'll be going down there…when we're attended to other things."

Kenzi laughed, "You go down there and clean it up…I don't know quite how I'd…thank you."

Harry smiled widely, "Right then – best see to that then!" He said turning and walking away.

"No – wait, The …land" Trick said then glared at Kenzi, "What just happened?"

Bo laughed, "I think Kenzi just exchanged sexual favours for that guy clearing out…vampires, and I take it he CAN, right?"

Dyson looked at her, and then they both rushed after the man. Only to walk back in a moment later, "Gone!" Dyson said. "I hope he knows what he's doing – they are nasty."

Kenzi smiled mysteriously, "Oh – he knows." She said sounding utterly sure.

"How would you know that?" Bo asked.

"I felt it when he held me for a moment, that's one – POWERFUL fella!" She said and then smiled sexily, "I hope he doesn't take long."

"So – we all got blanked, literally, and yet he didn't do that to you," Dyson said, "What did you say to him?"

"I just looked into his eyes, then he complimented me on mine, and it snow balled from there" Kenzi said with a shrug, "He feels REALLY familiar, especially now we've touched"

Bo smirked, "Only over the clothes I hope. This is your first date."

"Bobo, I'm not that sort of girl," Kenzi said reproachfully, "Why on Earth would I wait for a date!"

Bo broke up into laughter while Dyson sighed and exchanged a look with Trick who rolled his eyes.

Harry walked back into the bar; he was coated in dust, head to toe a light grey dusting of dust. His eyes were still crackling with magical discharge and every single patron turned as he walked in, having sensed him coming from down the street.

He brushed off his hands, sending a cloud of dust into the bar then walked over to where Kenzi and her friends still stood, lightly chatting between themselves. "All done!" he said.

Kenzi looked at him, "Your eyes...wow" she said with a firm head movement at the end, "Just - wow right now."

"You can talk!" Harry said, "Those eyes are so beautiful my heart stops whenever I meet them."

"Ohhh - very nice!" Bo said walking up beside him, peering at him, "You have a little something on your face...I think maybe blood, dust and some parts." She said pointing out the large smeared bloody mark on his face, the only part of him that wasn't slightly grey.

"Oh - sorry" he said then tensed suddenly the dust flew off his body, evaporating in the air, then he was pristine, clean and looked like he'd just stepped out of the shower, his hair was even slightly damp. His eyes glowed again at the overt use of magical power and he shot Kenzi a winning smile.

She damn near swooned.

"Right – Ritual then?" Harry said leadingly, looking meaningfully at Kenzi who had a hungry look in her beautiful eyes.

Bo gave a golf clap as Harry walked into the room and he flashed her a smile, laughing slightly, "Heard that did you?" he asked rhetorically.

"Just a little" she said picking up a bowl of rice crispies. "I don't normally snack at 4:00 in the morning."

"Oh well…I would say sorry – but I'm really not."

"Nor should you be! I've never heard her screaming like that…damn" Bo said appreciatively. Eying Harry she said, "You going somewhere?"

"Yep, I'm about six hours late to get back to California," he said. "I hate to rush something like that, but I had to."

Bo blinked, "Four hours is rushed for you?"

"For her – damn right!" Harry said, "Jesus she's amazing"

"I think so."

"Good, because I'm going to do something for you, and in turn you're going to do a couple of things for me."

Bo eyed him, "Maybe" she said raking her eyes up and down him.

"Not that!" He said chuckling, "I'm going to hire you. I'll pay you a ridiculous wage to keep doing what you've been doing all this time; your neutrality is actually useful to me. I need a neutral agent to look after my interests up here and frankly that now includes Kenzi."

"Love at first screw…" Bo said with a smirk.

"At sight, actually! As corny as that sounds. Only my life doesn't lend itself towards normal relationships. So I probably can't give her anything that she would deserve, or perhaps anything I do too to be honest. But I want to now be her guardian angel. I won't stop her running her own life, but via you I can help look out for her. This includes making sure this place is brought, paid for, and overhauled into a real house." Harry said.

"Then you'll be my onsite trouble shooter, doing basically what you do already, I'm hands off in that regard. All I ask is that you keep neutral as long as you can. Eventually you'll be forced to choose a side, but until then you can be a trouble-shooter for both sides, with no one getting pissy. I'm deeply invested here; you saw that with the ritual, I'm entwined with the Fae in this area. You'll be helping me to keep the peace here, please the land, which is indeed alive in this area and on top of that you can look after the girl you would do anyway just with money, staff and a real home to live in."

Bo looked at him wide eyed, "You're actually serious."

"I'm stupendously rich Bo," Harry said honestly, "Let me do this, for her sake if no other. She deserves to be looked after. If the shit really hits the fan, if she's in a danger that you can't solve, then you'll call me and I'll come flying up here and flatten whatever it is. Bearing in mind I really did just kill each and every single hostile demon in the sewer system in only a few hours tonight."

Bo saw movement at the door to the upstairs. A flash of black hair and then nothing, and smirked slightly. "All this to make sure Kenzi is alright – it does sound like love."

"It IS love. Already, I know that much, but like I said, I'm not that guy," He said looking slightly forlorn, "Just do this. I'll make it worth your while. You're going to be earning big money, and Kenzi too as your assistant. Plus you'll have real clout – My clout to use if you need it to get something done. As land owner here, The Dark and The Light have to listen to me! Its part of the covenant."

"Alright, but if you hurt her," she warned.

"I won't even be here" Harry cut her off. "Look, I have to go –I'm seriously going to be late." He said, then walked out, grabbing an apple on the way out. "look after her Bo – or you'll face me, you don't want to do that!" He called out then left.

Suddenly Kenzi came dashing into the room, almost hopping for some reason and dived to the door, only to stop dead and look up, "Fuck" she said, "That RAT BASTARD" she called to the sky. "Sweet rat bastard" she corrected, turning away and walking back into the house.

"Are you limping?"

"Hell Yeah!" Kenzi said with a bright smile, "Sweet mother of GOD is he built Bo, I didn't think he'd get it in, but boy did he ever, So many times."

"I know; frankly I'm more than a bit jealous." Bo admitted, "Now – I take it you heard all that? For some super mage he's not too sharp on his senses."

"I can't believe he said all that and then left!" Kenzi said sighing, "Did he not think MAYBE I already knew all that crap about him, or that I didn't even CARE!" She said looking angry and upset at the same time.

Bo walked around the counter and gathered her into a hug, "Look, you can go and tell him off yourself right?"

"How; I don't even know his last name!" Kenzi said distraught.

"He just hired us," Bo said, "As in we'll have his name on the check…the housing, anything with a company name we can trace…right, I mean you're the computer expert here…but I thought…"

"Yes, YES!" Kenzi exalted, "Good one Bo!" She said pecking the other woman on the lips and then leaping around only to stop suddenly, "Owwwwwww!"
