Chapter thirteen:

Now that the trio have arrived back at the base of their operations with the group that they work for they have gone straight to work. Matt is typing away on his bigger computer set up than what he had at the orphanage now trying to look through any information he gathered on his laptop, Mello is working with Near on reviewing the information that they have for any clues on where the taken are. They want to be careful when doing this so as to hopefully not alert the group that theyre onto them. They cant risk those who know where the orphans are to run and disappear. They are hopping to find the missing alive.

Mello puts down the paper he is looking at as an idea crosses his mind. He turns to the red head even though the other has his back to them in order to look to the computer set up. "Hey, Matt." He speaks in which the other two turn to him wondering what he is thinking. "Do you think that you can try messaging those that Rodger had been speaking to? Maybe we can try tricking them then catch them. Offer up me or Near to keep the danger to those other orphans down."

"I'll get started right away." Matt nods and turns back to his computer quickly typing to get started.

Mello and Near pull up chairs to sit and watch this.

Matt is typing the message trying to copy the way Rodger had spoken.

Hey. Do you need anymore paint? I have a ton of extra paint if you do.

Now they wait for a response and it actually comes through faster than they had expected.

Yeah my sister needs paint. She's doing a big house model for a contest. What cans do you have available?

I have a can of red, white and yellow. Do any of those make her think that she could use them?

Matt has made sure to add the measurements that Rodger would put in and they soon read the response.

Actually yes. She is here with me and said that she really needs some white paint. Do you mind if I can take it off your hands? I'll give you some money for your trouble.

Of course. How about we meet at a new spot? To shake things up a bit?

Does your family not like you going out with stuff from the house?

Yeah. They are getting worried that I'll sell something that they want to keep. Plus I think my wife has been trying to hover in the spot we usually meet up in. I don't want to have to listen to a lecture from her about just going out to sell things on my own. If she doesn't see us then she has no reason to yell.

That is a good point. Alright. We can meet at the park in the middle of the city. Lets say midnight?

Sure. Sounds good to me.

Okay see you then.

Mello claps his hands to rub them together. "Got them." He glances to the other two who turn to look to him. "So. Now we just need to make sure that we know what we are going to do at the park." He lowers his hands to hang at his sides. "And I have an idea. This is my idea…"

Midnight has rolled around and the trio arrive to be just outside of the park.

"Everyone ready?" Mello whispers to them and the two give thumbs up. "Okay then. Let's stick to the plan." He stands on the fake legs that they quickly made while Matt heads back to the car.

Matt gets in the drivers seat ready to go while also having a laptop with the tracker that the other two have showing where they are.

Mello is quick to finish getting his disguise on and clicks on the voice changer around his neck.

Near lays down on the ground to pretend to be asleep and unaware of whats going on.

After a few moments of waiting a man approaches them glancing around though he doesn't spot any danger. He then comes over to Mello and Near as Mello keeps the hood on so his face isn't as visible.

Though even with the hood pulled down Mello is still able to see and he can tell that the other is Jason Kevin.

Jason arrives to where Mello is. He looks to Near and nods after looking him over a little. "I think that this will make a customer happy." He informs the disguised Mello.

"That is good." Mello responds and the voice changer makes his voice sound like Rodgers voice. "At least I'll be getting rid of another brat."

Jason chuckles at this then pats Mello on the shoulder. "Right you are." He then moves and picks Near up who continues to pretend to be asleep. "Follow me. I have the money in the car."

Mello nods and follows after Jason. He is worried about Near though has reminded himself that the other will be alright.

The two stop at the silver Prius in which Jason lays Near down in the backseat.

Jason then shuts the door only to open the passenger side door. He pulls out a briefcase turning it to face Mello. He opens it showing a whole ton of cash just like before.

Staying in character Mello rubs his gloved hands together. "Aw yes. Now that is what I am talking about."

Jason smiles and shuts the briefcase only to hand it to Mello who takes it. "Good to hear you're the same as ever." He tells Mello having no clue that he is being tricked. "Well thank you again for another package."

"It's no problem." Mello nods holding the briefcase at his side. "Pleasure doing business with you."

"Same to you." Jason agrees shutting the passenger side door.

"Well I'll see you next time." Mello turns to leave.

"Have fun with those brats that are still there." Jason responds in which Mello groans.

"Don't remind me."

Jason laughs while Mello heads off. He then gets into the driver side of the car and drives off.

Mello sees Matt driving off after the silver Prius and he hurries up in getting to one of the safe houses to drop off the brief case. He can then get a car if needed and be able to help out in any way.

Whether that is to take over following Jason to not draw suspicion or to meet up at the location to help with the raid.
