Chapter 14: A Halloween With The Quints (Special Chap 1)
A/n: Alright! Before this chapter starts, there are two things that need to be addressed:
1. It's a double upload day! That's why it took some time for these chapters to come out. Also, about this chapter, you can skip it if you want. It doesn't really do anything to the story other than further build the bond between Fuutarou and the Quints. And then,
2. Chapters may come out slower. I really love Re: Zero (It's my second fav anime behind Quintuplets, maybe even my most favorite on some days) and I'm trying to finish the web novel. (it's going to take forever tho) So if the updates are slower, thats why. Once I finish it or get tired of reading, then the regular paced updates will come back. But for now, the updates will take an extra day or two (maybe more) to get out. Also, once I finish reading, then Re: Zero will be my next fanfic that I'm going to write along with this one. Not that it really matters but I just thought I'd let you know like 2-3 months early. When it comes out then I'll let everyone know.
Enough talking from me, let's start this chapter!
3rd Person Pov.
Fuutarou was walking home with quints from school. They were talking about the upcoming trick or treat event that was recently approved by the student council.
"Isn't it great how we get to try trick or treating? Instead of just dressing up, we also get candy!" Itsuki said, emphasizing on the candy part.
"I'm just going to study on the night of the event. There no point of going, it's the same thing every year." Fuutarou told the quints, "And also, I don't even have a costume or the money to buy a nice quality one."
"Oh come on Fuu-Kun, this year is different." Nino told Fuutarou.
"How so?" He asked.
"Well for one, you have your girlfriends this year," Nino said while grabbing Fuutarou's arm to hug it, "And we've never been trick or treating before so it would be a new experience!"
"I'll think about it." Fuutarou said.
"No, you're not thinking about this Fuuta, you're going to participate." Itsuki said.
"Yeah Fuu, you're not going to study on our watch!" Miku, Ichika, and Yotsuba told Fuutarou.
"Fine. Also, is Fuu a new nickname for me?" Fuutarou asked.
"It sure is." Ichika responded.
"Ok then, I'll do it, but what costume do I wear?" Fuutarou asked.
The quints all went silent and were heavily thinking about what Fuutarou should wear. The rest of the walk home was quiet and Fuutarou didn't bother snapping them out of their train of thought. Once they reached the apartment, everyone went inside and made their way to the elevator. The elevator went up and the quints didn't talk once. It was only when they made it to the couch where they were all sitting, then they started to talk.
"You know, what are we wearing?" Yotsuba asked.
"Umm, good point." Itsuki said.
All the quints instantly stopped thinking about Fuutarou and started to think about their costume. After some more thinking, Itsuki said something.
"Why don't we wear the costumes from last year? We never got to wear them in public because we couldn't make the party." Itsuki said.
"That's a good point, we should wear those." Ichika added.
"Alright then, we'll wear those, but where did we put them?" Nino asked.
"I think I know." Miku quietly said, "Let's go get them."
The quints all got up and started walking to the stairs. Fuutarou was about to follow them when Nino said,
"You stay here Fuu-Kun. I think we should make our costumes a surprise."
Fuutarou sighed, "Ok, I'll wait here."
"Thanks Fuuta." Itsuki said while giving him a quick peck on the cheek.
"Hey no fair, I wanna kiss him!" Nino said while going to give Fuutarou a kiss.
"Me too!" Yotsuba added while also making her way over.
Miku and Ichika followed the two and soon they were all cornering Fuutarou. They tackled him and he was on the floor with 4 of the quints giving him kisses while on top of him.
"Ok lovebirds, break it up. We got some stuff to do." Itsuki while pulling up Miku.
"*Sigh* Fine, we're coming." Nino said, "But I'm coming back for you."
"I'll be waiting." Fuutarou replied while standing up.
The quints all quickly went upstairs into a spare storage room and closed the door. The rest of the apartment was silent and there was no noise being made. Fuutarou went over to the couch and sat down. He grabbed the remote on the coffee table in front of him and turned on the Tv. There was a documentary going on about how food was made and Fuutarou decided to watch it.
Some time went by while Fuutarou was enveloped by the documentary in front of him. Every now and then he would hear the door being opened but then closed once again. After a solid 20 minute of waiting, a voice was heard from behind him.
"Woah, that looks really good." Itsuki said about the desert on the screen.
"Itsuki! You weren't supposed to talk!" Nino scolded her.
"Sorry! It just looked too good." Itsuki replied.
Fuutarou turned around and saw 5 quints wearing similar costumes. There was a patch on the jacket the Fuutarou recognized from somewhere. (I could've gave them unique costumes but I decided to give them these.)
Fuutarou quickly realized that it was the Survey Corps badge and that the quints were wearing the uniforms from Attack On Titan.
"Woahh, that looks really good," Fuutarou told them, "You all look really good."
"Thanks Fuu." Ichika said.
"Also I didn't know you watched anime. You could've told me." Fuutarou said.
"We didn't know you watched any either!" Yotsuba replied.
"I've seen a good amount in my free time." Fuutarou told them.
"I didn't know you had free time." Ichika responded.
"That wasn't nice." Fuutarou said.
"Hey, I was joking!" Ichika replied.
"I know, I'm just messing with you." Fuutarou said.
(If you've ever saw the photo of the quints wearing the Aot uniforms, then this is what I'm talking about. If you want to see it, then search up something like. quints and attack on titan. It should be the first photo if you click the photo tab.)
The quints were wearing a white buttoned undershirt with a brown/tan half jacket on top. There was a patch on the back, right breast pocket, and right shoulder of the survey corps logo. They had a brown skirt on with white leggings under. There were also straps all over their legs. On their feet, they wore knee high brown boots to finish the costume. Finally, to still make them stand out more, they wore their respective accessories. Miku's headphones were on her, Yotsuba's ribbon was on her head, Itsuki had her stars, and Nino had her ribbons. Ichika didn't have anything cause, well, she doesn't have anything.
"Those are really detailed." Fuutarou praised them.
"Thanks, we put a lot of work into these last year." Miku said.
"Ok then, I don't think I can go with you anymore." Fuutarou said.
"But I thought you said you were?" Yotsuba asked.
"Well seeing your costumes, I don't have anything to match that. And there no way you can make another one in a day." Fuutarou told them.
"You have a point..." Itsuki said.
"No!" Nino yelled, "You are going to come with us. I think we could make you one in time, right girls?"
"Yeah! We can!" Yotsuba said.
"I guess so." Miku said.
"Alright then, we'll get started once we get out of these." Nino said while making her way upstairs. The rest of the quints followed.
They finally came downstairs with all they thought they needed for Fuutarou's costume.
"Ok Fuu-Kun, what size do you wear?"

After staying up late, the quints finally finished Fuutarou's costume. Fuutarou stayed up with all of them to watch them work. As he watched, he saw them working really hard for him. The thought of the quints putting all this effort into him made him feel really thankful and love the quints even more. Now they were finished with his uniform. He went into the bathroom to change into it and as he stepped out he heard the quints say some nice things about him.
"Looks good Fuu!"
"You look great Fuuta!"
"It really suits you Fuu-Kun!"
"Thanks, but you girls did all the hard work." Fuutarou said.
"Well it was for you, we'll do anything for you." Nino told him.
"Ok then, I'm getting out of this the I'm going straight to bed. It's getting a bit late." Fuutarou said while moving back to the bathroom.
"Alright we'll wait for you upstairs." Itsuki said while moving to the stairs.
The rest of the quints followed her up and went into Nino's room. Fuutarou later came out and he too made his way to the stairs. He made his way up and turned the knob to Nino's room. He stepped in and looked down at the quints who were already asleep. He didn't bother to wake them up because they all worked really hard today. He made his way to the middle and laid down in a spot where he was surrounded by all of them. Somehow, the quints sensed him lay down and they all crawled over to hug him. Fuutarou closed his eyes and said,
"Good night girls."

The sun peeked through the blinds on the window and landed straight on Fuutarou's face. He slowly opened his eyes and looked around. He saw the quints all clinging to him and were all still sleeping sound asleep. He slowly pulled his arms out and rubbed his eyes. After that, he reached for his phone to check the time.
It was a Saturday and the time was 8 in the morning. Fuutarou looked down at the quints all around him and slowly woke them all up.
"Hey Itsuki, wake up." Fuutarou told Itsuki who was the closet next to him.
She didn't respond and kept sleeping.
"Itsuki, wake up." Fuutarou tried again.
Once again, no response. Fuutarou didn't want to use his trump card here, but he had to if he wanted Itsuki to wake up.
"Theres a whole buffet coming in a few minutes, filled with all the meat buns you want. There's going to be every food ever." Fuutarou whispered.
Itsuki's eyes instantly shot up and looked around for the buffet Fuutarou described. After she realized that it was a trick to get her to wake up, she looked at Fuutarou with a pout.
"Hey! You lied to me." Itsuki pouted.
"Well you wouldn't get up. I had to do something." Fuutarou replied.
"Meanie." Itsuki while punching his arm.
"Ouch, that hurt a bit." Fuutarou said.
"Good, that's what you get for lying to me." Itsuki then smiled. She couldn't hold in her laughter.
The two srarted laughing and chuckling together at the little scene that they just caused.
"But actually though, I need you to get up." Fuutarou told her.
"Alright I'm going." Itsuki said while slipping out of the covers.
She made her way to the closet where Fuutarou's hoodie was hanging. She took it off the hanger and slipped over her body.
"It's pretty chilly when you get out of bed." Itsuki said.
"Thanks for the heads up." Fuutarou replied.
Itsuki exited the roomed and made her way downstairs. Fuutarou continued to wake up each of the quints which took him some time. Once he was done, it was not 8:30 and Fuutarou had yet to stand up. He looked at his phone one last time then sat up to stretch. Once he was done, he stood up, stretched once more, then grabbed one of his only hoodies left. He was going to wear a hoodie that he'd wore for 2 days but Nino took that once first. Once he was ready he stepped outside the room and walked to the stair. As we went down he saw that the food was ready and the quints were waiting on him.
"Took you long enough." Nino said.
"I'm sorry, but I had to wake all of you up." Fuutarou said.
"That doesn't matter, you should've came out here quicker. I would've missed you." Nino told him.
"Oh really? Then next time I won't leave." Fuutarou said.
"Nooo! Please come downstairs. I don't care how long it takes!" Nino said.
"Ok ok, I will." Fuutarou assured her.
Fuutarou sat down at the table and started to get his serving of breakfast. They all said a quick prayer, then Yotsuba asked a question,
"What time is the Halloween party?"

The party was at 6:00 and Fuutarou and the quints were running a bit late. As they were trying to get to the party as fast as they could, some things happened on the way. Ichika wouldn't wake up from her nap, Yotsuba couldn't find her ribbon before leaving the apartment, Miku left her headphones at home which made them wait for her to go get them, Itsuki got hungry on the way, and Nino took forever getting ready.
They finally arrived 5 minutes late and the group finally made it to the classroom. (I forgot to mention it's in the school)
Everyone in the class saw them and complimented their costumes. Some of their classmates asked why were they were all dressed the same. Those classmates didn't know they were dating. By those classmates, I mean the majority of the class. Somehow Fuutarou and the Quints managed to keep it on the low. There were only a few people in the school who knew about them.
Anyways, the group made it in the class and were complimented by everyone. The whole class loved the detail and the effort put into the costumes. Once that was all done, they all started the festivities they had going on.
There was going to be a costume competition, a trick or treating part at the end, fun party games, and pretty much anything you would do at a party.
The beginning of the party started out pretty normally. Everyone was with their friend groups and were hanging out and talking. After about 30 minutes of this, the first activity of the night was announced. They were going to do a scavenger hunt around the school first and the first one back would win some prizes. Once everyone was split into groups, they started.
The rest of the night went like this. Fun party games with prizes, everyone was having fun. Then there was a costume competition and a photo booth as well. Fuutarou and the quints took photos and took home second place in the costume competition. In the end they lost to a group who were some of the main characters in Re: Zero. Someone was Subaru, another was Emilia, one was Rem and one was Ram, and the last person was Betty. It was a tight race between the two teams but 1 vote had the Re: Zero team winning. After all of that was done, the trick or treating part was next. Everyone had fun doing this holiday that happened in another country. Once they were all done, there was more hanging out and talking until, the party was over.
Fuutarou and the quints went over to the door after they said goodbye to everyone. The group walked out the building while talking about everything they did. Fuutarou and the quints all had bags filled with candy and there were photos of all of them together inside. Itsuki and Yotsuba were already munching on some candy and Ichika was starting to getting drowsy.
After the walk back home, they all quickly changed out of their clothes and switched into some pjs. Once they were done, Fuutarou opened his phone to check the time.
10:25. It was getting a bit late. The quints were all already in the room just laying there and Fuutarou was still downstairs. He decided to go upstairs to ask the quints a question. Fuutarou climbed the stairs until he reached Miku's door. He knocked on it and when he heard a faint "come in" he entered. As he went in, he saw the quints all sitting on the bed together.
"Do you need something Fuuta?" Itsuki asked.
"Yeah, I was just asking what do you guys want to do next week?" Fuutarou asked.
"I don't really know, I'm fine with whatever though." Itsuki said. They rest of the quints also agreed.
"Alright then, how about we go camping?" Fuutarou asked.
