Next chapter is up! Enjoy :)
It took Frieza another twelve minutes, before he could find what appeared to be a small, shallow pond. He landed by the water's edge with Angel still in his arms. Sadly, the paralysis looks to be wearing off rather slowly. She could still hardly move. But at least they knew it was wearing off. Her fingers would twitch and she could partially open her mouth. But since she still couldn't move her arms and legs, this meant he would have to wash her off himself.
He stepped into the pond, which only came up to the top of his shins. The full moon was giving off a lot of light. Frieza could see Angel was clearly a mess, he can clearly see tear streaks on her face that now had dried up swamp muck stuck to it. The rest of her body and clothes were covered in it as well. The water was surprisingly quite warm. Probably because the heat of the day kept the shallow depth warmed up.
Frieza knelt down and lowered her into the water. The muck started floated off of her and into the clear pond water. He kept her upper half supported with his tail while he ran his hands over her appendages, rubbing off the dirty swamp muck. Some of it was crusted on so he had to scrape some of it off with his fingers. He bunched up her shirt and started squeezing it out beneath the surface.
"I must say, I never would've thought I'd end up in such a predicament. Especially, stuck in one as long as this one. I do believe we're in seven months already on this world. But I have a feeling we maybe getting closer to the end. The energy signatures are not as strong as they were before. But they are not as far away this time when we started off here." He said.
Frieza looked up from what he was doing and saw that Angel had her eyes on him, showing him that she was listening. She still couldn't fully talk yet. So he just continued with most of the talking. The water was cleaning her up pretty good. The parts that were caked on were becoming loose and soggy, and starting to break off.
"There is something I never got a chance to tell you before. When I was providing you with information on your race and their home world. More specifically, about the Princess." He paused for a moment and watched her. She seem to give him a look that told him to 'go on'. So he did.
"There was a strong indication, that she survived her planet's destruction. That she was one of those few lucky ones to escape. If this were the case, then that means she went to another planet. And most likely has descendants." He explained while running his hands through her long hair, shaking the muck out of it.
"I wasn't completely honest with you, when I said she was one of the most powerful warriors of her race. Princess Mila was in fact, the strongest of them all. Many believed it was because of her mixed heritage. But if that were truly the case. Then her brothers should've been just as powerful. But she was even stronger then they were." Frieza smirked as he started running some water over her face.
"Father even indicated that it was said, she fought Lord Beerus. And actually gave the destroyer god a good run for his money. He saw the potential in her. So did my ancestor; Froze. That besides her beauty was why he was so infatuated with her." He paused his story for a moment.
"Do me a favor. Hold your breath for a few moments. I'm going to submerge your upper half momentarily to get the grime off your face and neck." He informed her.
At first, Angel gave him a skeptical and anxious look. Like she didn't trust him not to drown her. Frieza must've seen it too. Because his features softened and he gave her a reassuring smile.
"I swear I won't let go. It will only be for a few moments and then I'll pull you back up." He ended his remark by caressing the side her temple, smoothing some hair back from her forehead.
Angel closed her mouth and was able to close her eyes. He lowered her in until she was completely submerged. Then quickly went to work brushing the remaining grime from her face. He worked as fast as he could, then moved to her neck and brushed the little bit off that was there. Then he pulled her back up. Angel parted her mouth and inhaled more oxygen. Then Frieza resumed his story.
"There were actually a few detailed pictures of the Royal Family. A couple of which just had her in it. This may sound strange. But you actually look a great deal like Princess Mila. Only difference is your smaller build. I also have reason to believe you are her descendant. Because, I never told you this before. But your ki is exceptionally very high. And it's been getting even higher since we got here. There are very few fighters who's ki can spike dramatically like that within months. With majority of them taking years to build up their battle power."
Angel made some sounds. Trying to force out words. She can move her tongue and part her lips. She managed to form small words into a small sentence that he could make out.
"No...I not." She said. It sounded kind of funny. Because she still couldn't move her lips properly to form the words just right. But he understood enough.
He sighs, "Sorry, Little Warrior Princess. But I have reason to believe it's true. It's too much to call for coincidence. Your uncanny resemblance and high battle power. All points to where your lineage lies.
"Don't call e at." She said, fumbling to form some of the words.
Frieza didn't say anything, as he finished cleaning her off and carried her out of the water. He laid her down on a soft, dry patch of grass. Then wrung some of the excess water out of her clothing. When he was finished, he tried to make her comfortable so that she may rest. Instead of getting up and distancing himself from her though. He surprised her when he stayed right by her side and lie down next to her.
Frieza propped his head up on his hand and looked down at her. With a little effort, Angel was able to turn her head a little to face him. He could tell by the look on her face that she was upset with what he just told her. She tried moving her lips again. This time, there was a little more fluidity to them. So she tried talking again. Wanting to get out what has been bothering her all along.
"I don't know, who I am anymore." She said, rather clearly. Tears formed in the corner of her eyes and spilled out as she said this.
He wiped away her tears. "Your Angel, from Earth. In another universe. Just because you discovered your powers, doesn't mean that's not who you are anymore."
She formed a small smile at that. Angel isn't sure why the shift in his demeanor towards her. But in a way she welcomes it. A part of her hopes he can continue to be this civil towards her. She was just afraid, because she knew what he was telling her had some truth behind it. She recalls Lord Beerus informing her of her lineage possibly stemming from the bloodline of the Ancient Princess. He told her the same thing. That she bore an uncanny resemblance to Princess Mila. And had a very strong battle power like her.
Angel didn't believe it at the time. She didn't think she had the potential to be as strong as Goku, Vegeta, or Frieza. But Whis told her it was there, lying dormant within. Waiting to be awakened. She knew better than to debate with the two deities. Because Angel knows they have been around since the beginning of time and knew things that most beings didn't. Because of all this, she was starting to believe it herself.
"What if I can't control it? Each day it grows stronger, I feel like I'm losing control over it." Angel told him, with a hint of fear in her voice.
"It's normal to feel that way at first. But that is why you practice." He paused for a moment and a slight hint of awkwardness made it's way to his face. "What I tell you next, must remain a secret."
Curiosity lit up her blue/gray eyes. "What?"
Frieza was hesitant for what he was about to say. Because it is something that no one else knew about him. Apart from his family that is. It was something he never brought up because it made him feel weak and vulnerable.
"When I was a child and just discovering my own latent abilities. I was afraid of it at first too." He told her.
To his surprise a small chuckle left her. Which confused him because he didn't see what was so funny. He was about to ask her, but she beat him to it.
"Sorry, it's just I can't imagine what you would've been like as a kid. Though something does tell me you must've been quite the handful." She said.
Angel was able to move her jaw and lips more freely. Which was a very good sign. The paralysis must really be wearing off now.
"You don't know the half of it." Frieza said, with an amused smirk.
She smirked back. "Please, do tell."
His smirk widened. "Let's just say, I'm surprised that our home was still standing. After all the shenanigans I pulled over the years in my youth. Enough to irk my mother, drive my brother up the walls, and give my father an aneurism."
"You really were a demon child weren't you?" Angel asked, with laughter in her voice.
He looked up in the sky deep in thought. "Let's just say the dining room was never the same again. After I accidently crashed a hover craft through one of it's walls when I was five years old. Did I happen to mention my father was hosting a banquet in it at the time?"
Angel busted out laughing at the story. Her laughter was rather contagious and he shortly joined in, chuckling himself at the memory.
"Father reamed me a new one. And mother had me do most of the chores with her for the next couple months as punishment." He said between laughs.
"Guess they kept you away from the hover crafts after that." She teased.
"If my father even caught me eyeing them again. He gave me a warning glare as to say, 'Don't you dare'. And I can assure you, I didn't after that. Of course, this is one of those disasters my brother, Cooler actually found hilarious." He added.
Angel tried moving her limbs to see if they were starting to work. They were still stiff, but managed to bend them. It was a slight struggle, but she was able to push herself onto her side so she can face him. Frieza put a hand behind her back to steady her.
"So much for thinking you were always a stick in the mud." She said, with a smirk.
"No, but I can imagine you being one. Let me guess, as a child you lived up to your namesake?" He teased her.
Angel snorted. "Hardly."
He arched an eye ridge.
"Please, do tell." He said, parroting her earlier words.
Amusement swam in her eyes. "Too much to tell in one night."
"But which ones stick out the most." He asked.
She looked up in thought. " Once when I was six, my Dad was giving a lecture to some fellow scientists in his large study at our house. Right in the middle of one of his presentations, I walked in wearing one of my Mom's lacy lingerie bras over my shirt. And asked my Dad right in front of his colleagues when were my boobs going to come in."
Frieza's eyes widened before he burst into laughter. He can only imagine an overly curious six year old Angel just parading around in front of her mortified father and his colleagues in an oversized bra. Must've been quite a horrifying sight for them. Or perhaps they found it funny, watching a child ask a rather random question out of the blue.
"When I was seven. I told my twin brother to never eat one of Mom's birth control pills. Because he would turn into a girl if he did. At the time, I didn't realize that he'd just incidentally ate one earlier that day. Because one of his friends dared him to. His eyes widened to the point I thought they were going to pop out of his head. He dashed into the bathroom, dropped his pants and undies, then looked down to make sure that his dick was still there." She told him.
He chuckled again at the mischief Angel gotten into in her youth. "Maybe your parents should've named you Lucifer instead."
Angel huffed, "I have no idea what your talking about. My parents made the right choice in naming me. If anything, my twin brother got into more mischief than me."
Though in truth, that was a lie. Usually when they were up to something. It was something they usually did together. Thick as thieves they were.
Frieza rolled his eyes. "Somehow, I highly doubt that."
She was getting tired and shuffled around trying to get comfortable. But being that she was still a bit stiff from the paralysis still wearing off. Angel lost balance and her body went forward. Collided right into Frieza's front, where they were now face to face with only a mere couple inches between their faces. He grabbed her arm to steady her. Both their eyes widened at the close proximity. Had he not stopped her from falling onto him, they probably would've knocked heads together.
"Sor...Sorry." She stuttered in embarrassment, as her cheeks tinged pink.
Frieza found it rather cute. He moved his hand from her arm to her face, cupping her cheek. Angel's breath hitched slightly. They locked eyes, blue staring into crimson. As if in a trance, they both slowly leaned in closer. Next, her lips were on his. He parted his lips to reciprocate. Their lips tingled and heat started coursing through their bodies. Angel lifted her arm up and cupped his pale cheek. While he pushed his tongue past her lips to deepen the kiss.
The kiss intensified as he pulled her flush against him. They made out for a couple minutes, before pulling back for some air. Angel rested her forehead against his while catching her breath. There was silence between them for a few moments. While they tried to think of what to say. Both were pretty surprised at what just taken place. Especially, when she didn't like it when he touched her in the past.
"I'm really tired. Can we just sleep?" Angel said, breaking the awkward silence.
The right side of his mouth tilted up, giving her a small half smile.
"Yes, don't worry about waking early. We can sleep in a little. After what just happened, we need the extra sleep." He told her.
She smiled. "You talking about those creepy lizard men who almost had us for dinner? Or the kiss?"
He gave her a slight chuckle. "It was you they were about to devour. But the kiss was a pleasant outcome of the night."
The smile never left Angel's face as she leaned in to rest against him. Frieza wrapped an arm around her and rested his chin on top of her head. There was a cool breeze that night and her clothes were still damp. So she snuggled up to him for warmth. Before they fell asleep, Angel spoke again.
"Frieza, please. Don't hurt them once we catch up to them." She said softly.
He didn't say anything at first. Just kissed the top of her head.
"Only answers, I promise." He whispered.
She pressed a kiss to his collarbone, making a small shiver run down his spine. They fell into a deep sleep shortly after. Knowing this journey was about to get more interesting for them both.
There you have it. Hope everyone enjoyed the cute fluff I added at the end. It's been a difficult road for them. But it appears that their true feelings for one another are finally starting to show. But that may not mean things will get easier for them before they reach the end of this journey. More awaits them ahead. Until Next Time ;)
