Chapter Thirteen

Jane POV

"Their disappearance is the most covered news topic right now." I said as we ate breakfast. "We need to get them moved on to the sellers as soon as possible."

"People are only interested if they are all together." Kelly sighed. "And I want to keep Jimin here. Jimin or V, or both."

"Fine, fine. We'll just find another way. They should all go separate. Not to our usual buyers though, to fans."

"Directly to the ARMY? Aren't they super protective over them?"

"Most are, but there will always be that crazy fan who wants them all to themselves." I smiled, hatching a new idea in my head. "Get them ready this morning, film Fake Love, and make sure it's perfect. I won't tolerate any mistakes." I stood up from the table to clear the dishes.

"They need to eat still." Kelly said and stood with me. I set the dishes in the sink as she turned on the water to start washing them. "I don't think they've eaten since we first got them in the cabin."

"I'm sure a day or two won't kill them. Besides, they need to look their best for the video shoot." I was excited now. Dividing them up would bring in more cash then they ever would together. "We won't list Jimin or V, you can keep them outside."

"The plan was for them to use the spare bedroom!" Kelly protested. I shook my head.

"I won't have them inside the house, it's too risky. They need to be outside of our family area." I said and left Kelly fuming.

Kelly POV

I opened the door to the small building. I shivered in the harsh cold inside, even if it was slightly warmer than outside. The boys were again all huddled up together asleep, but this time the sound of the door woke V up. He sat up, his dark brown eyes scanning the room. He couldn't see me behind this glass, but he knew someone was here now. He lightly shook Jin's arm to wake him.

"Good morning." I said into the mic, waking the others now. Namjoon was on his feet quickly, followed by Suga. "I hope everyone got some rest, today is gonna be busy." Jimin looked over at V nervously. I plugged my phone into the mic. I'd give them another few minutes to fully wake up before we launched into the practise runs.

Jimin POV

The amount of times we'd done this set was now blurred together. We had just finished up yet another round, and I could barely breathe. Coughing and wheezing, I leaned a hand on the wall for support, my head down as I was near doubled over. The music slowly faded away and left my ears ringing. I could faintly hear the ragged and labored breathing of everyone else in the room as we struggled to recover. Fake Love has always been a challenging set, but when we had to do it over and over again with little to no break in between, it was near impossible. I felt light headed and weak, my entire body shaking. My heart was pounding in my chest so hard I thought it would explode. I felt a shaky hand on my back and I jumped, moving a good two feet to the right. The hand followed me, however, and I looked up sideways to see Taehyung standing next to me. He was equally exhausted, and his heavy breathing sounded strained.

"Excellent work guys." Kelly's voice said in the background as I closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing. Taehyung slowly eased me towards the others, who were all lying on the ground in the center of the room. My knees gave out but Taehyung managed to catch me before I hit the ground. He had one arm around my waist and lowered us both to the ground. I lay out on my back and he did the same next to me. I could hear his heart pounding next to me and I looked over at him. He had his eyes shut now and his breathing was still ragged.

"Is everyone alright?" Namjoons raspy voice asked. There was a moment of quiet as everyone monitored themselves. I couldn't even move, I was so exhausted. I closed my eyes and tried to relax, bring my heart rate back down, and then felt Tae's hand in mine. He was shaky but still gave me a reassuring squeeze. One by one we all answered him with mixed yes and no answers. I felt a cold weight on my chest and I opened my eyes to see Yoongi with water bottles, handing them to everyone. I forced myself to sit up and drink some.

"We can't keep doing this." Jin said, somewhat catching his breath. Namjoon nodded and sat up. We wouldn't be able to keep this up, not everyday. I wasn't sure what Kelly or her mother had in store for us, but we'd break at this rate.

Jane POV

I stood in the mirror room watching the boys. They seemed so close to one another. They always tried to comfort and help each other. Kelly had shown me the footage she had gotten from today and I was impressed. She had really beaten it out of them. They could barely stand. All were now in the far corner once again, more or less recovered from the days set. I had gotten the video I needed, now I was just waiting on my team to disperse it. Several of my men were standing at the main doors now, waiting on my signal. I had told Kelly that I wanted Jimin and V to not be in the house with everyone else, but I wanted to make sure they were strong enough to be outside in the first place. I'd have them in the spare bedroom for a couple days, and then move them out here again. By that point, the others should have been auctioned off anyway. I clicked my earpiece on and gave the order.

The doors to the room opened and Jin was on his feet pretty quickly. Guns trained on them, the boys all stood slowly with their hands raised. Two men stepped forward while a couple others held the boys at gunpoint. The men pulled Jimin and V from the group, and they went smoothly. The others were tense but made no moves. Smart boys.

"Where are you taking them?" Namjoon demanded, his voice raising for the first time. He took a couple steps forward closer to the men but J-Hope held him back. I remained silent as Jimin and V were dragged out of the small room and outside into the cold wind. The doors slammed shut and as soon as the guns left, Namjoon cursed, punching the wall hard. I smiled and moved outside to escort our two guests inside.

Taehyung POV

We were dragged roughly out of the room and tossed to the ground in the large yard. I scrambled back up and Jimin stood close to me. Dirt clung to my knees where I fell.

"This way." One man said sternly and pushed us forward, but Jimin stumbled, his legs still weak from our rigorous sets. The man caught him by the arm and yanked him back up, but at the same time punched him hard in the stomach. Crumpling to the ground, Jimin curled into a ball instantly, his eyes screwed shut in pain. Frustrated, the man kicked his side hard enough for his breath to woosh out.

"Enough!" I heard Jane's voice yell out and the men stopped to look at her. Their guns were still trained on us and I dared not move. I swallowed hard and knelt down to Jimin's side where he was struggling to breathe. He groaned in pain as he tried to get into a sitting position.

"Get up." She said, without any remorse. Jimin opened his eyes and looked over at her, still in tremendous pain. He groaned and leaned forward some, his arms wrapped around his sides still.

"Jiminie, come on." I whispered quietly, but he didn't respond. I gingerly moved my arms around him and lifted him into my arms. I was still pretty shaky but I knew I wouldn't drop him.

"Very well, move it." Jane ordered and I followed her, the men behind us. It was late evening and the sun had already set. Cold wind swept around, making my teeth chatter. We were leaving this yard behind it seemed. I couldn't make out much in the dark as my eyes hadn't adjusted yet. Jimin held my arm tight, his other arm around his side as he buried his head into my neck. I knew he was crying, I could feel the tears on my shirt.

To my surprise, we were moving towards the main house. Jane opened the doors and allowed me to walk inside. The warm air hit me like a ton of bricks and I sighed a small breath of relief. I was led upstairs now. Carpet covered stairs squeaked lightly under my steps and the hallway at the top was dark and narrow.

"Here." She pushed open a white door and inside was a small bedroom. It was mostly barren. Two small beds were in opposite corners and a small empty closet was open on the far wall. A single small window was in the middle of the wall but had bars over it. I stepped inside and carefully lowered Jimin onto one of the beds.

"Wash up before dinner. The bathroom is connected to this room." Jane said quickly. "Kelly will bring you dinner afterwards." I nervously swallowed and looked down at Jimin, tears still in his eyes. "Understand?"

"Yes." I said carefully, looking back at her. I noticed the small cameras at the top corners of the room. We were still under surveillance. Why us two? What about everyone else? What were they going to do to them? Jane closed the door and I heard it lock. I looked over at the door to the bathroom. I reached out and slowly tested it. Sure enough, it swung open to a small bathroom with a shower corner and toilet and sink. A small mirror on the wall and a couple towels hung from the shower rod. The room was mostly silent, except for the soft whirring of the air conditioner unit.

"Is she gone?" Jimin said, his voice still full of pain. I looked over at him as he steadied himself on the bed's edge. I knelt down next to him and lifted his shirt to get a better look at his injuries. A large boot shaped bruise was forming on the left side of his ribcage. Purple and red, it looked like it really hurt. He might have even cracked a rib.

"She is, but Kelly is gonna be back later I guess." I said softly. I pulled his shirt back down and reached up to brush the last of his tears away. "What do you think we're doing up here?"

"They just left the others in that building." Jimin winced as he tried to pull his thin hoodie off. I helped him take it off and tossed it into the far corner. He slowly lowered himself onto the bed on his back and reached up with his hands to run through his hair. He breathed in slowly and let it out in a sigh. His white t-shirt was torn in places and looked worn out.

"I can't think straight." I sat down on the foot of the bed and rubbed my face with my hands. I leaned my elbows onto my knees, shaking my head. "My head feels like it's full of cotton and bees."

"You're tired." Jimin sat up slowly, his face still pained. "Tired and we haven't eaten in a while."

"That's probably it." I sighed and looked over at the bathroom again. "I'm gonna go shower, keep watch out here."

"Got it." He said.

The shower felt amazing compared to that frigid room we had slept in the past two nights. I kept thinking about the others and my heart hurt for them. They were probably worried sick in that ice box, wondering what happened to Jimin and I. What was going to happen to them? I watched the dirt wash away and my body felt more relaxed under the hot water. I turned off the water and grabbed a towel. The mirror was steamy but I wiped it clean. I noticed the dark circles under my eyes, how much weight I'd lost already this past week or so. Being lost in the woods and then being kidnapped really had done a number on us. I could see my ribs too. I rubbed the towel into my wet hair and shook it out, the wet strands throwing water onto the walls. I pulled on the clean clothes Jane had folded on the counter top. Sweatpants and a sweatshirt.

"You go ahead, Jimin." I said as I stepped out of the bathroom. Jimin was still where I had last seen him, but he looked like he was struggling. He nodded slowly without a word and stood carefully. He was exhausted and in a lot of pain. I sat down on the bed and pulled the covers out. I couldn't believe that Jane and Kelly had pulled us two away from everyone. I glanced up at the window. You could see the yard and building clearly. I stood and peered through the window, my hands on either side of my eyes to block out the light. I knew the boys were in that building. I just couldn't get to them.

Jimin POV

My ribs ached with every breath. I had my shirt off in front of the mirror to get a better look. My left side was bruised pretty badly. I grit my teeth as I pulled my hoodie over my head. Jane had been nice enough to provide clean clothes. What was the get up? Why Tae and me? I dried off my hair and stepped out of the bathroom. Taehyung was laying on his back on one of the beds, a pillow hugged against his chest. It rose and fell slowly as he breathed evenly. He was asleep.

"Tae, you ok?" I asked, reaching out and touching his leg. He opened his dark brown eyes to look up at me. Dark circles were underneath them, and his eyes looked totally glazed over.

"Yeah." He said quietly. I sat down next to him and slowly lay down, the pillows feeling nice. I ached all over and I felt light headed. I closed my eyes and folded my hands over my stomach. We lay in silence for a few moments, just letting ourselves reset. I focused on the small sounds around me, the soft feel of the blankets, the calm air, and my breathing.

"Whatever they're making downstairs smells amazing." Tae said quietly. I opened my eyes and looked over at him, surprised. I then noticed it too. Either beef or pork, maybe some steamed vegetables as well. I felt my stomach flip and growl loudly under my hands. I hadn't noticed just how hungry I was. So much had happened in the past 72 hours, I hadn't even thought about food.

"It does." I sighed. Taehyung's belly took its turn to growl angrily now and he winced slightly. His grip on the pillow tightened as he watched the locked door carefully. I could hear the footsteps coming up the stairs now too. We both sat up quickly as someone fiddled with the lock and the door slowly opened. It was Kelly, with two plates of food. I clenched my jaw as she set them both down on the small dresser across from us.

"Are the others going to eat?" Taehyung asked, his voice low and clam. Kelly nodded with a smile on her face. It was a little unnerving.

"Don't worry, you can rest easy tonight." She said, pulling a couple water bottles from under her arm. She set them next to the two plates. "I'll come see you tomorrow." She shut the door and was gone just as quickly as she had come. Tae and I shared a long glance.

"Do you think she's lying?" I asked quietly. Tae shrugged, but had his eyes on the food still. He swallowed, thinking hard. My stomach was trying to eat itself under my ribs. I grit my teeth, looking over at the plate too. I desperately wanted to eat, but more than half of me also screamed trap. The last time we had eaten from either of these two women, it had been drugged. I knew Taehyung was just as hungry as I was; I could hear his stomach grumbling.

Taehyung POV

I'm so hungry. Jimin is too. I can hear his belly growling in the quiet room. I took a deep breath and stood, making my way over to the two still steaming plates. I was wary of the meals, as they had been drugged the last time. I looked over at Jimin, who met my gaze.

"We're already stuck here, what more can they do to us?" I tried to reason. Jimin's gaze flicked up to the cameras in the corners of the room. We were always being watched. I dreaded what would happen if we refused the food just as much as I dreaded eating. When would be the next time we ate? We'd already gone three or four days running on empty. Jimin's eyes moved back to the beef and pork sitting tantalizingly close. I took one of the forks and moved the meat around, trying to see if it had been tampered with. All it did was make it smell better, much to my dismay.

"What if it is drugged again? What would happen?" Jimin stood now and moved to stand next to me. His stomach growled pitifully again and he sighed lightly.

"I don't know." I looked over at him, his eyes meeting mine. "It's a risk I don't think we can afford not to take."

"It's been what, three days?" He asked, rubbing his temple.

"Almost four." I picked up the fork with a piece of beef stuck to it. "And who knows when the next time will be." I took the beef off, chewing slowly and trying to analyze it. I couldn't get past the amazing flavor of it. My eyes fluttered closed and I sighed, enjoying it. I didn't even care if it was drugged now at this point. I was too hungry to care.

Jimin POV

We sat on the end of the bed, eating every bit of the beef and pork and veggies on those plates. Dull hunger pangs slowly subsided at last as I finished the last of it. I set the plate on the ground and lay on my back, my hands over my face. Taehyung finished a few moments later, laying down next to me. I sighed. It was amazing what a full belly could do for you. I didn't feel so hollow anymore. But now my exhaustion was really hitting home. Taehyung stood and flicked out the light just as I opened my eyes.

"You alright?" I asked him as he lay back down, hugging the pillow close again. He rolled onto his side to face me, his brown eyes completely worn out and dull.

"Yeah." He nodded slowly, his eyes closing. "Get some sleep, Jimin, we'll need it."
