and regrets don't matter only what you do now." Tohru
"Hey you what do you think is eternal in this fleeting world? All living beings die, things fall apart, feelings fade away. There's only one true constant. As long as you're human only one thing is eternal, and that is the sin of man." plush cat
"Where am I?" Tohru
"My goodness. I'm honestly impressed you made it this far in Tohru. If you were smart then you'd leave him alone." plush cat
"Who are you really?" Tohru
"Well if you're here. Why don't you pry open one of Kuro's secrets? You might learn a thing or two. Hold on I can give you some tools. You can break every one of these tortured containers open. Find out Kuro's deepest fears everything he regrets in life." plush cat
"I don't need to. Kuro you're inside aren't you. All I want is for him to let me in. I don't need a weapon I just need to knock." Tohru
Tohru knocks, and says.
"It's me Tohru Honda. Please let me in I want to be there for you as you were there for me." Tohru
Tohru hears her name then a door appears in front of her. Tohru opens the door, and walks in while she is walking toward Kuro she can hear him arguing with himself. She can hear the pain, and regret dripping off each and every word being spoken. Tohru finds Kuro curled up in a ball hugging his knees. Kuro looks at her, and says.
"Did I do the right thing? Someone please tell me, tell me that I wasn't wrong to kill him." Kuro
Tohru walks up to him, puts her hands on his shoulders, and says.
"Maybe you were wrong, and maybe you were right. The answer could just as easily be both what matters is that you forgive yourself and move on. The only way to do that is to face the ones you wronged with your decision, and the pain you caused to yourself and your family. Because the Servamps are a family regardless of how you came to be." Tohru
Kuro looks shocked at the insightfulness of her words even though he has watched Tohru pick apart other peoples problems. The truth of her words, and her out stretched hand makes him realize that Tohru is the right master for him at this time. She holds him in her arms in his cat form with the most loving smile on her face that it makes things a little bit brighter.
Meanwhile Licht and Hyde are face to face with Higan, and Hyde says.
"So this is the walking corpse that put the saint in a coma." Hyde
"Yes it is." Licht
"Well Licht it's looks like this old man is going to have to beat you up all over again. The name is Higan, and I'm one of Tsubaki's loyal friends which means you and I aren't going to get along very well. Nice to meet you." Higan
"We already aren't going to get along very well, and it has nothing to do with Tsubaki." Licht
"Then what does it have to do with?" Higan
"You are going to pay for what you did to Tohru." Licht
"Wow I've never seen Licht this angry before, and to be honest I'm also mad about what happened to the saint. Not nearly as much as Licht, but still definitely angry." Hyde
"Oh I see something happened to the Eve who was acting as your shadow as a result of my actions, and now you want revenge." Higan
"Precisely you demon." Licht
"Well then Lets Dance My Little Bell." Higan
Licht and Hyde launch their attacks, and Hyde gets scratched by Higan which bursts into flames causing him to drop his sword, and say.
"Ow. Where did the flames come from? It burns!" Hyde
"Stupid Hyde get a hold of yourself. I already told you that he can make flames appear anywhere he scratches. You should be on your guard." Licht
"No I'm pretty sure I'd remember you saying that." Hyde
"I'm not wasting time with this old man again." Licht
"Fine be that way. You'll die first." Higan
Licht uses his weapons special power called -Jekyll and Hyde-. Using this move they land a solid strike on Higan. Licht assess' the damage done to the enemy, and says.
"That was good. A solid strike, and he's getting back up. The old man must be tougher than he looks." Licht
"Come on lets stop playing around, and take this guy out quickly." Hyde
They attack Higan ferociously, and Higan comes up with a strategy to defeat -Jekyll and Hyde-. Higan attacks, and Licht says.
"Wait where are the flames?" Licht
"Aw, maybe you've forgotten this old man's also a Vampire. Now I see how you taste, and add your power to mine." Higan
Higan launches a powerful attack at Licht and Hyde, and says.
"I admit I'm a bit hesitant to do this. Something about you reminds me of the past. I want freeze this moment, and contemplate the meaning of happiness. I'm going back into the past to the time when the whole world was nothing more than my canvas. Now I think it's time you saw me draw." Higan
Meanwhile Misono and Lilly manage to find where they are holding Hugh, but getting out of the building is going to be hard. Hugh tries to help Misono and Lilly fight against the subclasses in the room, but they are targeting him making it difficult to help. Shamrock attacks Hugh causing him to jump in the air, and Belkia sneaks up behind him with his magic box. He puts the magic box down on Hugh, and counts to three. When he says three Hugh vanishes into thin air. Meanwhile back at the Inn Tsubaki locates Lilac when he is in the middle of cleaning one of the rooms closest to the lobby. Tsubaki looks at Lilac, and says.
"So you're the hostage, but you don't really look afraid. Why is that I wonder?" Tsubaki
"Tsubaki I just finished cleaning this room. Why don't I get you some tea, and then we can talk." Lilac
"Alright. Tea does sound nice now that I'm thinking about it." Tsubaki
Lilac goes to the kitchen, and gets a large pot of tea and a cup. When he gets back Tsubaki sees that Lilac only brought one cup, and says.
"Only one cup? Surely you don't expect me to drink such a large pot of tea all by myself. Go get yourself a cup then we can have our family chat." Tsubaki
"Yes sir." Lilac
Tsubaki sighs at the formal address his subclass used, but ignores it in favor of more pressing matters. As soon as Lilac returns he pours them a cup of tea, and Tsubaki says.
"Now tell me why are you so friendly with my siblings and their Eves. Are you betraying your family?" Tsubaki
"No." Lilac
"Then please explain your actions to me so I will understand what is going on." Tsubaki
Lilac goes on to explain everything that has happened, and how Tohru asked him to stay and help Tetsu around the Inn where it is safe. Tsubaki thinks over everything, and realizes that Tohru is right this really is the safest place for his subclass to be right now. Tsubaki also realizes that he owes Tohru a great debt for saving a member of his family. He takes another sip of his tea, and says.
"Tell me Lilac do you like working here at this Inn?" Tsubaki
"Yeah. It's really great being an Innkeepers assistant." Lilac
"Then you may stay here as long as you like, but I have a favor to ask you before you get back to work." Tsubaki
"What is it?" Lilac
"Go, and get your boss. I'd like to have a word with him." Tsubaki
Lilac nods, and leaves to get Tetsu. When Tetsu gets there he is slightly unhappy to see Tsubaki, but is willing to hear what he has to say. Tsubaki looks at Tetsu, and is shocked by the sheer size of him even though he is only fourteen. When he recovers from his shock he says.
"I want to thank you for taking such good care of my subclass, and I am indebted to Tohru for saving him in the first place. So to repay all of the kindness that has been shown to a member of my family I will return something valuable to you, and then I must be off." Tsubaki
Tsubaki takes out the duplicate of Belkia's magic box, releases Hugh who returns to full size, and says.
"Return to your Eve Old Child." Tsubaki
Hugh returns to Tetsu's side, and Tsubaki leaves after finishing the last of his tea.
Back at the hotel Misono and Lilly find themselves out numbered facing off with three subclasses. Belkia gets his swords out, and says.
"I'm about to throw a skewering party in your honor. Kid what are you going to do without any useful Servamps to protect you." Belkia
"If your looking for the man with red hair he went up stairs awhile ago." Mikuni
'Licht and Lawless went upstairs.' Misono
Belkia gets impatient, and attacks which is blocked by Envy. Otogiri tries to stop this from happening, but Envy snaps her strings like they aren't even there. As this is happening Kuro and Tohru arrive to help their friends. Kuro and Tohru enter the building, and Tohru says.
"So yeah, Kuro's been holding out on us this whole time. Sorry for being late. Now let's do this; Go Kuro." Tohru
"Sure." Kuro
"Is that Sloth?" Shamrock
"Sleepy Ash I don't believe it!" Belkia
"Tohru." Misono
"The two of you showed up at the perfect time" Mikuni
"You got him out of the ball?" Misono
"Yeah, and the others are they ok?" Tohru
"No Pride is gone." Mikuni
"Belkia made him disappear with some strange attack. We don't know where he went. I think the Greed pair is on the floor above us." Misono
"Let's go save Lawless and Licht, and then we'll track down Hugh." Tohru
"I'll get you two tickets to my magic murder show." Belkia
"Do you not ever shut-up? You damn clown." Shamrock
"Tohru's weapon is changing shape. It's not a broom anymore it's a spear." Misono
"Make me proud my lovely marionettes." Otogiri
Kuro attacks breaking Otogiri's control of her marionettes. After seeing this Shamrock yells.
"Belkia!" Shamrock
"I know I'm coming you don't have to yell at me." Belkia
Belkia and Shamrock attack Kuro at the same time causing Kuro to say.
"Uh, what a huge pain." Kuro
Kuro then lines up his own attack, which Tohru launches temporarily breaking the two remaining subclasses.
Meanwhile back upstairs Higan says.
"That black lion I saw outside might be a little much for the three downstairs. I guess it can't be helped I should go down, and save them." Higan
Lawless pushes himself up off the ground, and thinks
'The only one who never changes who learns anything.' Hyde
Higan knees Lawless in the gut, and says.
"Bad little hedgehog. You were trying to bite me weren't you. Here's an idea. Why don't you lick my shoes instead. Play nice, and I might even let your precious angel walk out of here alive." Higan
"Huh?" Hyde
"Not that our kind should care about him. As you well know human lives are so fleeting." Higan
"Damn you!" Hyde
"Stay strong you masochistic hedgehog, and as for you Higan. Why don't you get down on your knees, and lick my boots instead?" Licht
'This is starting to get a little bit weird.' Hyde
"Actually that's disgusting never mind." Licht
'Ah, Licht.' Hyde
"Huh, how about I just kick your ass? I think that would help ease my dear Tsubaki's sadness more than anything else right now. I am kinda sick and tired of having to do everything myself though. I've killed so many in the past, but no matter how many die I feel empty. No matter how many bodies pile up I feel melancholy, but I'll do what ever Tsubaki wishes of me. I'll draw whatever it is he wishes to see. I won't let anything stop me from ensuring my master ends up happy. It can't be helped however depressing that might sound, and anyway self sacrifice is one of the most beautiful forms of expression." Higan
"Yeah sure everything you do is for Tsubaki, but don't think that killing me would be some kind of noble act. It's not self sacrifice, or even for him. You just want to kill me I can tell from that look in your eyes. Your nothing but a cold blooded murderer. You can't carry out your own dark desires, and blame them all on somebody else that makes you weak." Licht
'Wow! When did he become so cool.' Hyde
"Really? You think you know better than me. People like you are why this whole world is garbage." Higan
"Hyde!" Licht
Licht plays his piano in one more attempt to defeat Higan. The attack begins, and Hyde says.
"I know the perfect story to perform Higan, and it's a role that's wonderfully suited for you. All about a selfish phantom who thinks he's been wronged. When in fact he's actually the villain." Hyde
Higan screams in pain as his own attack is used against him by the words coming out of Hyde's mouth. Hyde goes on to say.
"To bad there's no leading lady here to save you with a kiss. We'll have to find another ending." Hyde
"So you're challenging me to a one on one dual. Is that it? You're mad this isn't Hamlet." Higan
"You're right. I'm not Hamlet, but I'll tell you one thing I am. A hedgehog; How do you like my spines?" Hyde
Higan falls to the ground defeated, and Lawless says.
"I may look tough, but I have to admit that took a lot out of me. Man I'm exhausted after that performance." Hyde
"Whatever let's go home." Licht
"But you're hurt." Hyde
Licht collapses, and Hyde says.
"What did I say? I can fight I could've fought back then. I could've fought for her. If only I had gone after my dreams. How different would things have turned out?" Hyde
"Stupid hedgehog. Don't worry about what you could've done. There's no point in doing that. You should be concerned about the present. What you should fight for now." Licht
"Ah, yeah now that's a good lesson angel. When did you go, and get all wise huh?" Hyde
"Jekyll, Lawless!" Tohru
"Did you come to listen to me play?" Licht
"As much as I like doing that no. I came to save your life." Tohru
"As happy as it makes me that you care so much you're a little late. A virtuoso like me doesn't need anyone protecting him." Licht
Tohru can tell that Licht wants to be the one doing the protecting not the other way around. As she is thinking this Licht collapses, Tohru catches him before he falls to the ground, and says.
"Jekyll!" Tohru
"You're eyes look different. Somethings changed you're close to being an angel like me." Licht
