Why did I literally take a break from FanFiction for four days and seemed to forget about my streak for posting the most chapters within a week?

Well two reasons. One: I kinda might've forgotten to post a chapter... well, on purpose. I just wanted a "Short" break from posting chapters. And no, it wasn't a hiatus because a hiatus isn't four days. Two: I am working on a new fiction that is currently on Google Docs. Chapter One to the fiction will be posted later today or tomorrow.

The fiction I will be making soon is called "Warriors: Electric" a sci-fi fiction where many years into the future, human technology has advanced and they make a half-robot, killing-machine cat, which goes rogue, escapes the humans, and finds the Clans. I'm still working on the plot for the story, it is more unclear than the plot for Frostheart's Vengeance.

OC SUBMISSIONS FOR SKYCLAN LEADER, MEDICINE CAT, OR DEPUTY ROLES WILL END TOMORRROW. You will be able to submit normal OCs after, but not OCs for these roles.

(DISCLAIMER: I don't own Warriors. So if any of you are thinking or saying that, then shut up.)

Onto da chappie!

Emberpaw walked around ShadowClan camp, leafbare would end soon but after Berrytail caught greencough, many other cats had caught it, too.

At first, they had paid no mind. But Nightbreeze had run out of catmint and the sickness was getting worse by the minute. Soon, the Clan was going crazy. There had been no sign from StarClan, and ShadowClan was already weak with its small size and barely any prey in the fierce snowstorms that sent the camp in a foot deep of snow and the nearby river frozen over.

The apprentices would slip around playfully on the frozen river. It was really sturdy, Emberpaw realized. Then, Twigpaw grabbed a moss-ball and threw it around.

"Let's play catch the moss ball! But on ice!" he explained.

He tossed it to Rockpaw, who slipped and landed on the ice. Emberpaw slid past the two toms and hit the moss back to Twigpaw, only to have Fogpaw- the full black she-cat with surprisingly, gray eyes- catch it.

She was about to throw it to Rockpaw when Frostshadow came over. "Off the ice. That is dangerous." he hissed, and dragged the apprentices off the ice and back to camp. "What you should be doing is trying to hunt." he cast a glare at the prey pile, which was very small with only a few scrawny mice and squirrels.

The snow was falling faster, now. Almost the whole Clan was in their dens or patching up holes in the bushes with leaves to keep the cold and snow out. The wind was fierce, until Smokestar told them there was a blizzard and he sent the whole Clan in the medicine den.

Emberpaw skidded through the hole into the abandoned fox den in the camp that was now the medicine den, Rockpaw and Twigpaw slipping after her.

Hours seemed to pass in the den, the snow was only fiercer. The cats with greencough and the cats without it

were separated to keep others from getting sick. The prey pile had been dragged into the den, as well. Nobody knew how long they'd stay down here.

Emberpaw, bored as ever, scanned the den. A pool of water- not frozen but ice cold- was in the corner of the den with Nightbreeze's medicine supply. She saw the greencough cats were frail and weak, shivering with cold, Berrytail was the worst. His fluffy fur wasn't able to hide the very-visible ribs under his pelt, he shuddered terribly with cold, his eyes shone with weakness and terror…

Emberpaw averted her eyes before he caught her gawking. She saw the other cats with greencough: Bluecloud, Tinykit and Brownkit...

She gulped. How long would it take until the sickness had the whole Clan?

Emberpaw decided to focus on something else. She looked over at Smokestar and Rockpaw. They both had the same dark gray fur, yellow eyes, and large paws. Before she could make the theory that Smokestar was Rockpaw's father, something cold and wet smashed into her cheek.

She brushed it off, seeing what it was.

Snow.

Emberpaw whirled but Twigpaw had already thrown another snowball at her. She yelped and then grabbed some of her own snow. She hurled the snowball at Twigpaw, which slammed into his face.

Soon, Rockpaw had left Forestgaze and Smokestar's side and joined Twigpaw and Emberpaw in the snowball fight. Fogpaw stealthily throwing snowballs from afar, only to get dragged into the fight.

Then Twigpaw accidently threw a snowball at Nightbreeze, which hit her in the eye, she hissed and fell over, into the ice-cold pool of water in the medicine den.

The apprentices stalled.

Nightbreeze snarled and got out of the water, her fur soaked. "Who did that!?" She glowered at the apprentices, then saw Twigpaw. "You. Young apprentice, if you want to be a warrior one day, then don't hit your own warriors or medicine cats with snow like you are a- a… kit. One moon of checking the elders' for ticks!"

"No! Don't-" Emberpaw jumped forward.

Nightbreeze's cold glare set its sights on her, blue-green eyes burning. "What?"

Emberpaw hesitated.

"I-It's not him who threw the snowball." she lied. "It was me."

Nightbreeze whirled to the other apprentices and warriors. "Any witnesses to prove this is true or false?!"

The warriors were silent, having not watched the snowball fight. Twigpaw stared at Emberpaw in shock, but Rockpaw and Fogpaw had seen everything. Would they tell Nightbreeze the truth?!

Instead, Rockpaw just stared at the ground. Not making eye-contact with anyone. Fogpaw was silent, quietly watching what was happening.

Nightbreeze growled in disgust. Then turned back to Emberpaw and Twigpaw. "Twigpaw, I'm sorry for lashing out at you. Emberpaw, next time don't act so childish. You will be taking care of the elders for the next moon."

As Nightbreeze walked past Emberpaw to give the last catmint to the cats with greencough, she whispered silently in Emberpaw's ear: "I expected you to do better, I thought Dark Forest training would make you more mature. I must've been wrong…"

And with that, Nightbreeze walked off, leaving Emberpaw alone with every warrior glaring at her.

Except Twigpaw, who just stared at her in shock.

"I can't believe you actually stood up for me." Twigpaw whispered to Emberpaw after the blizzard. It was still snowing, but not as hard as before. Smokestar had sent the apprentices out to hunt. Except Emberpaw, but she never listened to orders. So she skipped checking elders' for ticks and instead walked around camp with Twigpaw.

"I mean, we barely know each other and you don't owe me anything! What have I done for you to make you actually… nice for once?" Twigpaw added.

"Oh so I am not nice, instead I'm rude you say?" Emberpaw muttered.

"Not as rude and grumpy as Nightbreeze, thankfully." Twigpaw grouched. They both laughed.

"And I don't play by the rules, even though I am not a rogue anymore." Emberpaw grinned. "Say, you wanna skip hunting and play out on the frozen stream again?"

"Sure! I'll get Rockpaw and Fogpaw!" Twigpaw replied, and ran off.

About one second later, Rockpaw, Fogpaw, and Twigpaw came back and they ran to the stream, completely frozen over. A thin mouse searching for food saw the three predators and ran off into the darkness of ShadowClan territory. The apprentices ignored the mouse as Emberpaw scraped moss off a tree gently and packed it into a ball.

They skidded onto the frozen stream and started throwing the ball around. Rockpaw threw the ball and Twigpaw and Emebrpaw ran for it. They crashed into each other and fell back on the ice with a loud, hard THUD!

None of them saw a crack in the ice.

Fogpaw ended up getting the ball and then threw it to Rockpaw, who tossed it to Emberpaw, only to have Twigpaw catch it again as Emberpaw slipped over to them and fell on the ice, forming a larger crack.

With all their sliding and slipping and crashing, the crack got bigger, and bigger.

Emberpaw was pinned to the ice over the crack by Rockpaw. The two play-wrestling as they tried to get the ball.

Twigpaw was about to join in, but then he saw the crack getting bigger. His eyes widened.

"Emberpaw! Rockpaw!" he shouted.

They didn't hear him.

"Emberpaw! Rockpaw! Fogpaw! Look!" he yelled louder.

Rockpaw glanced in his direction, but Emberpaw pinned Rockpaw this time. Fogpaw slipping around obliviously.

"THE ICE IS BREAKING!" he screamed.

Emberpaw looked at the breaking ice, then at Rockpaw, then at Twigpaw. Fogpaw stopped spinning.

Emberpaw jumped away from the pond, Fogpaw did, too. But Rockpaw stood there, petrified with fear.

"ROCKPAW! GET OVER HERE!" Emberpaw hollered. Rockpaw nodded weakly.

He jumped-

The ice shattered beneath him with a thundering CRACK!

More and more ice started cracking, shattering, as the river's wild currents, free from the ice, whipped around wildly like a storm. Rockpaw splashed and flailed in the ice-cold waves, dragged under over and over again as Twigpaw, Fogpaw, and Emberpaw ran along the edge of the stream, struggling in vain to reach him.

Then a ShadowClan patrol saw the cats.

Quick as lightning, they ran over. A cat dove in the water, grabbing Rockpaw by the scruff as they dragged him to shore and dropped Rockpaw heaving for breath next to Emberpaw and Twigpaw.

It was Smokestar.

Slowly, the leader looked up at the two apprentices. "Who's responsible for this…" he whispered. Neither Twigpaw, Fogpaw, or Emberpaw answered. Smokestar followed Rockpaw's glare to Emberpaw.

"You." Smokestar hissed. "Emberpaw, I told you to stay in camp to help check the elders' for ticks like Nightbreeze told you to! But instead, you disobey your leader and take the apprentices to the fragile river, nearly drowning my son!"

"I-I'm sorry…" Emberpaw meowed, stepping backwards.

"I don't know why we let a foul-hearted rogue into this Clan in the first place since we found out that the prophecy Nightbreeze made was false! We should've exiled her when we had the chance!" shouted Frostshadow, running over. The rest of the patrol following him. Seeing shivering, soaked Rockpaw next to Smokestar, the two glaring up at Emberpaw, Twigpaw watching from afar, unable to interfere. And Fogpaw's gray eyes just staring at the ground, her expression unreadable.

"You may not be a rogue anymore, but you don't play by the rules still." Twigpaw whispered. "You said it yourself."

Smokestar glowered at Emberpaw, silent. Until he finally bellowed to the warriors: "I will decide my punishment for Emberpaw later. For now, let's head back to camp and rest."

Emberpaw's mistake was taking the blame for the snowball hitting Nightbreeze, and bringing the apprentices onto the frozen river where Rockpaw almost drowned.. Smokestar was mad, and Frostshadow decided to jump in and scream why Emberpaw should be exiled.

What's Frostshadow's problem with rogues? Since I don't know how to explain his backstory in a chapter, I'll just say in the author's note that a battle between ShadowClan and rogues broke out and Frostshadow's parents and siblings were killed. And since Emberpaw is half loner, Frostshadow is reminded of the cats that killed his family, he also thinks all rogues, loners, kittypets, and half-Clan cats are bad, and Emberpaw is a loner who was half RiverClan, and was kittypet for two days. And that's another reason he wants to get rid of Emberpaw.

There. Frostshadow's hatred to Emberpaw explained. Must be difficult being her mentor.

Fogpaw hasn't spoken much in the chapters, either. Fogpaw has Melanism, which is the opposite of Albinism. Albinism is albino, an albino is a full-white creature that are hard to find. Albinos are rare. Melanism is full-black, unlike albinism. Not only does Fogpaw have Melanism, but she also has gray eyes, which is a rare eye-color for any animal. Fogpaw is somebody else's OC which got submitted in a warriors chat. I am trying to make Fogpaw more noticed, which will be hard. So the person who submitted the OC gave me a few ideas...

Really, side-characters deserve more respect. Like Moonbreeze, who's nice to Redshadow, and Owlflight, who just wants to know what-the-heck is happening between Redshadow, Oakpelt, and Shadowedheart. Owlflight has a POV in Chapter Sixteen.

Chapter Sixteen where Owlflight spies on the Dark Forest and Shadowedheart.
