Spider-Man: Look out! It's your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Taking down Callows was tough, especially after he bonded to a weird nanotech symbiote. The Chaoskiller is defeated and the gang war is over, but there are still unanswered questions, like who revived Callows and what are they really after? Hopefully I'll find the answer after analyzing the leftover nanites.

Peter's Apartment
BGM-Spider-Man 3 (Game) OST-The City #5
The next day after the defeat of The Chaoskiller, Peter sits at his computer desk analyzing a sample of nanites that were used to transform Tyrian Callows into the monstrous Chaos. While staring at the computer screen, he hears a loud yawn belonging to Yang walking out of her bedroom in her pajamas. "How was your sleep, honey?" Peter asked.
The tired Yang rubs her eyes to wake herself up fully, "Not bad. Better than my previous nights. Had to stay up 'til 5:30 in the morning to finish that Chaoskiller article." She yawns again while stretching her arms out to the sky, "I better get a promotion after all of this…" She walks over to Peter and wraps her arms around his neck, hugging him while he's working on the computer, "So whatcha doing again?"
Peter replies, "Analyzing a sample of nanites I picked up last night. The same nanites that transformed Callows into that symbiote Chaos monster. I'm glad he was beaten and this gang war is nearly over, but we still don't know the full story behind everything. Who or WHAT revived Callows in the first place? What did they hope to gain from all of this?" He wondered as a file pops up on his screen, "I hope I gain something from this data. Most of it is corrupted, my fault, but it should be enough to hint me to the right direction."

Peter clicks on the file, opening a wall of text for him to read through while Yang watches in silence. As Peter keeps looking, he sees an interesting file, showing a man and a woman that he instantly recognizes, much to his shock, "It can't be!"
Yang then looks at the pictures and is also shocked to recognize them, "Are those…?"
BGM-Sonic Battle OST-Sneaky Bat
The shocked Peter nods, "Yeah…They're my parents." He stated, recognizing the images of Richard and Mary Parker. "What was Callows doing with data on my parents? Was he searching for something that they have? Was he…planning on coming after me soon? Aunt May?" He wondered with a tone of shock and worry for his loved ones.
"Calm down. Keep looking through the file." Yang calmed him with a comforting tone.
Peter follows her orders and continue looking through the data, "There's something else here. Something about an 'Ancient Weapon' that they were investigating. And a…Guillotine? Argh! That's it for the uncorrupted data. Just what is going on? How is my family suddenly connected to all of this?!" He wondered, feeling slightly frustrated.
Yang taps her muzzle while pondering, "No idea. Your parents are more mysterious than mine. But, I might have an idea how to get to the bottom of all of this."
"What is it?" Peter asked.
"The file mentioned a Guillotine, and it was probably referring to a person. During my business travels, I've heard rumors of a vigilante that goes by that name at Paris. We can go ask them what they know 'bout this 'Ancient Weapon'." Yang proposed, planning to travel to Paris to investigate.
"You want us to go to Paris? Can we even afford that?" The shocked Peter asked, worrying that they don't have enough money to pay for a flight to another country.
Yang then smirks at him smugingly, "You're married to the woman who recently published the biggest story of the year involving a revived psycho killer! One quick phone call to J.J. and we'll be on the next flight to the City of Light by the end of the day!"
Smiling, Peter happily gets up from his chair, "Yang, I love you!" He said before sharing a kiss with his wife.

Later at the Kennedy International Airport…
BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-To Spagonia!
"You two take care of yourselves." said Blake, hugging Yang before she and Peter leave for their flight.
"And TRY not to cause any trouble." Weiss warned, crossing her arms.
"You can count on us protecting the city while you and Pete visit Paris!" Ruby promised with a smile to her sister.
Nearby, Peter shakes hands with Kaine as they wish each other luck. "Trusting you to protect May while I'm gone." Peter entrusted to his clone.
"May's family. I'll protect her with my life. Rose can back me up if she wants to." Kaine promised while allowing Ruby's assistance.
"Finally taking a liking to Ruby?" Peter grinned.
"She's alright. Grown more tolerant of her." Kaine quipped stoically. "I'll also keep an eye out on that Xanh woman." He said.
"She's still around?" Peter questioned.
Kaine nods with a serious glare, "Yeah. Get the feeling she's hiding something that's linked to all of this. I'll find out the truth before you return."
Peter nods with a look of seriousness, "Thanks, bro. Keep me in touch."

In the airplane…
"Good morning, 'Bonjour'. Good evening, 'Bonsoir'." said Peter, reading from a book to help himself understand French during the flight to Paris. He looks at Yang sitting next to her, who's minding her own business staring through the window, "Do you speak any French, Yang?"
"Enough." Yang replied, turning her attention away from the window.
"So what else have you heard about this Guillotine?" Peter asked, wanting to know more about the mysterious vigilante.
"That they have a dubious reputation shrouded by a dark history." Yang answered. "Have any idea what this Ancient Weapon could be?" She then asked.
"No clue. But if it's anything like the ones I've stopped, it could be a weapon of mass destruction that can threaten the whole planet." Peter answered.
"I'm afraid that might be the case. Let's try to get some sleep before we land." Yang said somberly with a look of worry, turning over on her seat and putting a pillow over her head as she falls to sleep.
'Yang seems worried. Probably still traumatized by Thanos and afraid we'll run into another disaster. Let's hope we don't.' Peter remarked mentally, looking worried for his wife.
Later at Paris…
BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Spagonia (Night)
After several hours in the sky, the plane lands at the airport in Paris during the night. Peter and Yang walked out of the plane and grabbed their bags. They called in a taxi to pick them up from the airport and drive them to a hotel, where they pick up the keys to their room from the hotel manager.
"You're the expert reporter. What should we do first?" Peter asked his wife while picking up his luggage from the floor.
"For tonight, we'll take it easy. Explore the city. Then we'll get some sleep and investigate first thing in the morning. Know anyone that can give us a swing to the Eiffel Tower?" Yang smirkingly punned, which causes Peter to scoff with a grin.
Short while later…
Yang latched onto the back of Spider-Man, who swings across the lovely night of the city. Some of the locals spot the unfamiliar couple in the air, as Spider-Man swiftly swings towards the top of the Eiffel Tower. He gently let's go of Yang as they stand together overlooking the beautiful city of lights.
Spidey then jokingly speaks in a French accent, "Ah, ze Eiffel Tower, and the ever romantic city of lights. We're definitely come back here, babe. Y'know, when we're not uncovering my parents' secrets."
"This is WAY more romantic than exploring a dark forest and nearly getting killed by Beowolves." Yang quipped while leaning on the guardrail.
"But it would've been adorable dragging you by a wagon." Spidey joked, poking her cheeks.
Yang giggles while playfully slapping away his finger, "Quit it!"

Suddenly, the couple was interrupted by the loud sound of an alarm near the Eiffel Tower below. They stare down, spotting a jewelry store that is the source of the alarm. "Uh oh. Better go check out that alarm." Spidey said.
Spidey grabs his wife before swinging down towards the streets. Once they landed, they glance around for any sign of the robber but found nothing. It wasn't until Yang looks at the rooftop of the store is where she spotted someone, "Look up there!" She pointed, spotting the silhouette of a hooded woman wielding a sword.
From the rooftop, the mysterious silhouette noticed the heroes, gasping at the sight of Spider-Man before making a run for it. "Hey! Hold on!" Spidey shouted, quickly zipping to the rooftop. But as he got there, she was already gone. What was left behind were unconscious thugs and a bag of jewels that they seemingly robbed from the store. "These must be the real robbers, but who was that silhouette that ran away? Could that have been Guillotine?" Spidey wondered.
Then, Yang hears police sirens as they get louder, "Spidey, cops are coming! We should get outta here!"
Spidey sighs, 'I don't speak the language. I don't know where everything is. Yang is right. We should get some sleep and begin our investigation in the morning.' He thought as he quickly grabs Yang and swings her back to their hotel.
The next morning…
BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Spagonia (Day)
Inside their hotel room, Peter and Yang are getting dressed for their first day of investigating Guillotine. Peter stares out the window while saying, "Beautiful morning at downtown Paris. What do we hope to find here anyway, and how is Guillotine connected? For all we know, they're the evil mastermind and is trying to get revenge on my family for what my parents did." He pondered.
Meanwhile, Yang puts on her jacket in front of a mirror, "If we want to learn more about a vigilante, the best place to start is by asking around the local police station. Already called in a cab that'll drive us. C'mon, let's go." She gestures at him to follow her out of their room.
The couple enters the cab, which drives them to the nearest police station. They were allowed entry into the station to search for a male blond police officer, who is currently talking to a beautiful redheaded woman. "Bonjour!" Yang said with a smiling wave, greeting them to get their attention, "We were told to find Inspector Marc Joubert?"
"Ouais, that's me." Marc Joubert revealed himself with his French accent. "And may I ask who are you?"
Yang shakes hands with the police inspector, "My name is Yang Xiao Long, a Huntress journalist from New Vale City." She shows him her Daily Bugle ID card. "And this is my husband, Peter Parker, who is a photographer. We came here to investigate the vigilante, Guillotine. Can you tell us anything about her?" She asks the inspector.
Joubert scoffs, scowling and crossing his arms, "Guillotine…Whether she's a vigilante or crimelord or both, she has NO PLACE here! Her dark legacy is a curse on this city, and I swore that one day I'll find her and put her behind bars!"
"So she's a woman. Do you know if she's connected to any ancient weapons?" Peter asked.
Joubert nods, "You bet she is. Everyone in the city knows, including my fiancé here." He gestures to his beautiful fiancé standing next to him.
"Salut. My name is Jeannine Sauvage." The woman introduced herself as Jeannine Sauvage. "And, excuse me, but your wife mentioned your last name is 'Parker'." She stared at Peter.
"Yes." Peter answered.
"Are you perhaps related to Richard and Mary Parker?" Jeannine asked, which shocked the American reporters.
"How do you know about my parents?!" Peter retorted.
"I rather we discuss this in private. My home. I will take you and your wife there." Jeannine replied, then turns to her fiancé with a smile, "I will see you at home, ma cherie."
"Ah, prenez soin de vous." Joubert smiled, sharing a kiss with his fiancé before watching her leave with Peter and Yang.

BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Gaia Manuscripts
Jeannine leads her new friends into her home, where she is safe to tell them everything she knows about the Parkers. "So what DO you know about my parents, Ms. Sauvage?" Peter asked her.
Jeannine says, "The last time I saw them, they stood where you stand now. That was over 20 years ago, when I was simply a child. They came here to meet my father. The previous Guillotine."
Peter gasps with surprise, "What?! The previous?! Are you saying…?!"
Jeannine nods solemnly, "Correcte. I am the descendant of the Guillotine bloodline. I am the vigilante that you have come from the States to investigate." She revealed herself as the current Guillotine, much to their shock since they ran into her alter ego last night.
"That was you last night…" Yang muttered. "So, why did the Parkers visit your father?" She questioned.
Jeannine answers, "To investigate The Ancient Weapon. The Parkers were on a top-secret mission to stop Hydra and their leader, Baron von Strucker, from reawakening the weapon. They came to my father, who knew the weapon was sealed away deep under the earth of Paris. But they were too late. The weapon was revived. Though your parents and my father fought valiantly, in the end, Hydra escaped with the weapon while my father perished in the battle. They also escaped with my family's greatest treasure, La Fleur du Mal!"
"What's that?" Peter asked.
"Originally known as The Bloodline, it is a mystical sword that was formed thousands of years ago by the Sumerian goddess Ereshigal, who created it from a demon's spinal cord. The sword feasts on the souls and blood of its victims. Over the centuries, many have tried to tame the demon within the blade, but they all succumbed to its power. It was too dangerous to be wielded by mortals." Jeannine answered.
"But your father was able to wield it, correct?" Yang remarked.
"Ouais." Jeannine answered. "The sword's long association with my family started during one of the bloodiest periods in European history, but it was only by the end of World War II that the Guillotines learned to let the sword guide their hands as much as they guided it, thus creating a mysterious symbiosis between them. My father understood that power, but it wasn't enough to save him from Hydra. I now honor my family's legacy by becoming the newest Guillotine, fighting criminals with a sword of my creation." She said somberly, mourning the loss of her deceased father.
"Jeannine, we need your help. Is there anything else that your father, or my parents, might've said? We think someone is trying to find the Ancient Weapon again." Peter requested.
Jeannine scratches her muzzle while thinking, "Hmm…I believe they mentioned about the 'Warriors of the Sky'. And there is something else." She walks them to her bedroom and takes off the carpet, which hides a secret compartment that she opens to take out a mysterious black box, "This box contains all the information your parents discovered about the Ancient Weapon. They left it with my family for safekeeping. Hopefully, THIS will lead you to the answers you seek."

But just before she could hand Peter the box, they were distracted by the sound of a gun cocking from the door. "I'll take that, my darling fiancé!" said Marc Joubert, who stands at the door pointing his gun at the trio.
"Marc?! B-But I don't understand." Jeannine remarks with a confused expression, remaining distracted while her fiancé swipes the box from her before running away.
BGM-Ultimate Spider-Man (Game) OST-Spidey's Rhino Beatdown
Peter immediately gives chase to the inspector while Yang shouts, "Pete, be careful!"
The inspector hurried to his car and drives away as fast as he can. Peter quickly changed into his costume and swings, chasing the inspector across the city. "I can't let that CREEP get away with ANY information on my parents!" Spider-Man scowled behind the mask.
While driving his car, Inspector Joubert chuckles and glances at a passenger on the backseat, who appears to be another Inspector Joubert but gagged and tied up, "Looks like I got what I came for, eh ami?" The fake inspector takes off his mask, revealing a smooth white face that people would recognize as the villainous Master of Disguise, Chameleon.
Spider-Man caught up to the car, landing on the roof to look through the windshield and spot Chameleon. "The Chameleon? Here?!" He remarked in surprise.
"Spider-Man?!" Chameleon retorted in surprise as well, grabbing his gun to shoot at the webslinger through the roof but keeps missing. He then grunts with annoyance, "New strategy then!" he said before opening the door and rolling out of his car as it drifts to the right.
"Uh oh." Spidey spots the kidnapped Joubert inside the car. He quickly rips apart the roof to grab the inspector, safely swinging him to a nearby rooftop building while the getaway car crashes at a wall and explodes in a fiery explosion. "Close one. Score another clean escape for the Chameleon." Spidey remarks while untying Joubert, before noticing the disguise artist escaping to a maintenance yard, "No. There he goes."

As Spidey gives chase, Chameleon runs to a safe place to hide from the masked hero. "Hold a minute." He realizes something while landing atop of a truck, "Why didn't he put on another mask to hide himself? He's trying to lead me into a trap, that's why. Well I'm not gonna fall for it this time. I'm staying up high until I scope things out." He says before swinging to a nearby rooftop. "What is this place? It looks like some kind of city maintenance yard and warehouse." He commented.
BGM-Ultimate Spider-Man (Game) OST-Venom Feeding Time
Suddenly his Spider-Senses tingle to nearby danger in the form of the armored mercenary, The Beetle, flying towards his back. "Welcome to Paris, Spider-Man." He quipped, delivering a surprise kick that knocks the webhead off the building.
Spider-Man tries saving himself with a web-swing, but a sharp scythe cleaves his webline and causes him to fall onto a truck. That scythe is wielded by a Jack O'Lantern, a master assassin wearing a flaming pumpkin helmet and body armor and possesses a variety of Halloween-themed weapons. "It's Halloween in December!" Jack O'Lantern laughs maniacally while hurling a pumpkin bomb at Spider-Man.
Recovering quickly, Spidey jumps away from the bomb as it hits the truck, which explodes and unleashes a shockwave that knocks down the webslinger flat onto the ground. "Is there NO place on Mobiant Earth that I can't run away from you, wallcrawler?!" shouted the armored watery criminal Hydro-Man, appearing atop of a nearby rooftop with a watery whirlpool as feet.
"Hydro-Man? Beetle? Jack O'Lantern? Here in Paris?" Spider-Man remarks in shock to be confronted by some of his worst enemies. "Did you guys come over on separate flights, or did you get one of those super villain package deals?" He jokingly asked his enemies.
His Spider-Sense tingles again to a vicious tackle from the unstoppable and armored Rhino, smacking the webslinger across the yard. "I always wanted to send you and your big mouth to Siberia." Rhino quipped.
"Still a little far, but I like a challenge." joked Shriek, a female criminal with the mutant power to generate sound waves. She opens her mouth to unleash a powerful sonic blast to destroy the support beam of a metal structure, causing the whole thing to collapse right on top of Spider-Man.

Chameleon rejoins his team after they have defeated Spider-Man. The webslinger is still alive, groaning himself into unconsciousness. "Wasn't expecting Spider-Man to be here. Thought he was too busy cleaning up the mess left behind by the Chaoskiller." Chameleon remarked.
"Perhaps its good fortunate. The Kingpin will reward us handsomely for bringing Spider-Man to him, alive." Beetle said ominously.
Later at Kingpin's Paris Hideout…
BGM-Sonic Unleashed OST-Eggman's Idea
"Welcome to my…temporary base of operations, Spider-Man." said Kingpin, taunting his nemesis in his laboratory. Groaning, Spider-Man slowly wakes up to find himself strapped onto a metal table, which moves to position himself upward and be confronted by Kingpin and his new team of supervillains, "I must say, this is an unexpected treat."
"If I were you, Kingpin, I'd cut down on the treats." Spidey quipped.
"Joke while you can, Spider-Man. Soon, I will be FAR more powerful than even I dare to dream." Kingpin proclaimed.
"You hatch a different crackpot scheme every week, Fisk. What makes THIS one so special?" Spidey asked.
Kingpin explains, "There is no reason not to tell you, as your annoying antics will shortly end. You see, it was I who revived Tyrian Callows as The Chaoskiller and instigated the gang war that plagued New Vale City."
"YOU?! How, and why?!" Spidey retorted with a look of surprise.
"I used The Hand to resurrect Callows, letting him loose on the city to wipe out my rivals and scare the public. To ripe the city for TOTAL conquest, under my ABSOLUTE control." Kingpin answered.
"With THESE bozos as your enforcers?" Spidey mocks his villainous team.
Kingpin answers, "The Savage Six. And yes, I hired them to be my newest enforcers. Equipping each of them stolen technology, powered by Mandalay Gem Fragments which emits powerful energy and imbues them with special abilities to make them unstoppable. But, they PALE in comparison to the weapon that I seek."
"A diet coke?" Spidey quipped, watching the crimelord activating a computer screen which looks over multiple pictures and videos that are related to his plans.
Kingpin ignores the jokester as he continues monologuing, "For many years, in the spy underworld, there was a rumor of an Ancient Weapon. A Weapon that was eventually sealed away in a Hydra facility over 20 years ago. I thought this was a fairy tale, that is until I was forced to use Cipher technology to secretly hack SHIELD's database after you and the other heroes stole the Cosmic Emerald from me! To my surprise, the stories were true and the weapon might still be intact. The weapon was originally discovered by the Red Skull at the end of World War II. He, and then Baron von Strucker a few years later, planned to use it to take over the world! I now intend to do the same!"
"World domination? Kingpin, now you sound like a Saturday morning cartoon villain." Spidey joked.
Fisk approaches his heroic hostage, "I assure you, my victory will be real! Ironic, isn't it? If not for your photographer friend, Peter Parker, that Sauvage woman might have never revealed the existence of THIS." He grabbed and showed the box containing information on the Ancient Weapon. "The first, REAL clue I have found to the Ancient Weapon's location and operation."
Spidey grunts with anger, 'Great. I've handed the most powerful weapon in the world to the Kingpin. How could things possibly get any worse?'
"And now…" Kingpin puts down the box and approaches Spidey, "Let us see who you are behind that mask." He said ominously.

Just as Kingpin reaches for Spider-Man's mask to take it off, his window suddenly shattered and exploded by a mysterious force which easily distracts him away from the mask. "WHO FOUND ME?!" shouted Kingpin.
BGM-One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 OST-Gear Two
Jumping through the hole is Yang, who smirks with her weapons equipped and striking a fighting pose. "Bonne après-midi, Kingpin!" She cockily greets the crimelord.
"Sunbreaker?!" Kingpin shouted angrily.
"And a friend!" Yang quipped.
Leaping from the hole is Paris' very own mysterious vigilante, Guillotine, sporting a black domino mask and wears a hooded red cloak behind a red dress with black accents. She also wears a silver shoulder pad, gauntlets and armored leg braces. While wielding her sword, Guillotine delivers a single slash that quickly dispatches Shriek, Chameleon, and Beetle each. Yang leaps towards the remaining villains and delivers an explosive punch to the ground, unleashing a massive shockwave that scatters them around the chamber.
"How'd you find me?" A surprised Spidey asked his wife.
"Your suit has a built-in tracker, remember?" Yang glares while destroying his restraints.
"Oh yeah. Knew that feature would come in handy." Spidey quipped while rubbing his freed wrists.
"Once I got your location, Guillotine suited up and we got here as fast as we could." Yang replied.
"Are you alright, Spider-Man?" Guillotine asked while glaring at Kingpin and his Savage Six.
"Am now. Thanks, Guillotine." Spidey responded.
Kingpin growls at the presence of three heroes, "We have what we came for! Beetle, secure our escape!" He ordered.
Obeying his orders, Beetle then fires a bomb of tear gas to distract the heroes. "Computer! Activate the self-destruction sequence!" Kingpin shouted. The Savage Six escape into a hidden room that leads to a jet, which the villains use to flee the city.
"MOVE!" Guillotine shouted, pointing at the large hole which is their only means of escaping the hideout. Quickly, Spidey grabs both women and launches a webline that he uses to zip themselves out of the building moments before it explodes.

The trio of heroes land on a nearby rooftop, overlooking the smoke emitting from Fisk's hideout as police and firefighters hurry to inspect the explosion. "That was close." Yang commented.
"I am glad you and my fiancé are safe, Spider-Man, but we failed to find Peter Parker." Guillotine told the webslinger.
"He's safe. Made sure he didn't get kidnapped by the Savage Six too." Spidey lied.
"What happened to the box?" Guillotine asked.
"You mean the one Kingpin was holding? He got away with it. Mentioned it'll help him find the Ancient Weapon." Spidey replied.
Guillotine grunts with frustration, "Zut! If that madman finds the weapon, the world would plunge into darkness."
"That WON'T happen! I promise that I WILL stop Fisk!" Spidey declared.
"I believe you. Sorry about last night. I was under the impression you came to arrest me." Guillotine said.
"Now why would I do that? 'Cause your reputation is as shady as mine? You saved my life. I think Paris is safe in your hands." Spidey quipped, offering a handshake to the Paris hero.
Guillotine looks at his hand for a moment, then smiles before accepting his handshake. "Merci, Spider-Man. I wish you and the Parkers luck on your mission." She said, wishing the duo a safe journey home.
Later on an airplane…
BGM-Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds OST-Ending Theme 2
"It all makes sense." said Yang, pondering next to Peter on the plane ride back to New Vale City. "When Kingpin was arrested during the Infinity War, it left a power vacuum in the criminal underworld. After he broke free, he regains control of all crime by eliminating all his rivals with Callows. That way, he wouldn't be challenged again if he finds the Ancient Weapon." She deduced, after Peter told her everything of when he was captured by Kingpin.
"But it wasn't just Callows. WE'VE been taking his enemies down too. Fisk has been using everyone the entire time. And now he wants to control the most dangerous weapon ever discovered by mankind. We still don't know what this Ancient Weapon is. For all I know, it's television, and it WAS discovered in 1945." Peter quipped.
Just then, Peter receives a video call from Kaine and answers it via his cellphone, 'Parker, you comin' home?'
"Yeah, and you wouldn't BELIEVE what we learned." Peter quipped.
'Was about to say the same thing. Ruby and I just had a chat with Rong Xanh, and she's been meaning to talk to you for a while now.' Kaine replied while Ruby stands next to him in silence.
"About what?" Peter asked.
'A story about the Warriors of the Sky.' Kaine answered, which sends a chill down both Peter and Yang's spines as they recall hearing about the Sky Warriors first from Guillotine and wonders if this is a coincidence.

Jeannine Sauvage (Guillotine)
Description: Born of a mixed French-Algerian heritage, the mysterious Guillotine is the latest in her bloodline to (eventually) inherit "La Fleur du Mal", a mystical sword with dark supernatural powers. Across the centuries, many have wielded the enchanted blade - some for good, some for evil. For the will of the sword is strong, and its thirst for blood is limitless, and many have succumbed to its whispers in their minds. If the sword is ever recovered, the current Guillotine wishes to use the blade to punish the guilty and keep the sinister instincts of the sword in check... for now!
