X Chapter 14 X -Ragnarok-

Warning: Language, Super Heavy Violence, Sexual Themes

High winds whipped around Komatsuna and Conch... Dawn announced its return; the eastern horizon was lit afire... No snow lay upon the ground; the crater, the puncture in the crust melted and evaporated it away...

Conch shouted to her. "Follow and back me up!" As they both dashed for Cooler, Komatsuna snapped back. "No! This one's my kill!" The ice tyrant lorded over Pinach in his self-made crater. He was preparing to blast the saiyan when he caught Komatsuna's profile in his peripheral vision. Whipping around, he shot the blast meant for Pinach at Komatsuna, who froze up. The shadow-clad Conch barely grabbed her in time. Cooler's purple blast rocketed past them and landed in the fields, exploding like a nuke.

"Damn it! Cool the fuck down! He's too strong for you, even now!" Cooler was a little banged up, a fact he loathed wholly despite getting the best of his opponent. The namekian charged forward. Cooler took a swipe with a ki-coated chop. Conch ducked under it and kicked Cooler square in the jaw, producing a grunt and staggering the tyrant. The frost demon shook it off and looked around. His opponent was gone and so was Pinach.

Cooler spun around to see Conch crouched over Pinach with his hand on the saiyan's chest. A purple glow emanated from under the hand. When Pinach stood up, healed of all his wounds, Cooler was stunned. He then seethed. "Impossible! Who are you?!" Conch stood up straight. His hands reached up to his hood and pulled it down, revealing his namekian features. "Ah, I see. A namekian... Your people are known for their great mystics and healers."

The ice devil switched focus to the massive saiyan standing next to him. His power has jumped dramatically. That's unsurprising, he is a saiyan. He's even stronger than me now... His cold red eyes trained on Conch once more. ... No matter. As long as that one is in play, any damage I do will be mitigated. I might be outgunned, but I have a chance if I can separate those two and pick him off... Cooler felt the angry energy of his former underling behind him. Perfect! She's my opening!

The tyrant turned and fired a small but lethal wave at the saiyaness. In that instant, Cooler felt Pinach bolt towards her at high speed. Pinach and Komatsuna were oblivious to Cooler's scheme. Conch was not. Still, it did not matter. Pinach saved her and rebounded for the counterattack, just in time to see Conch laying in two pieces on the ground. He was cut in half right under the arms. The frost demon turned to the giant and mocked him. "How unfortunate. I don't miss twice."

Pinach stumbled back, tripped on a rock, and fell on his butt. The apparent death of his teacher left him catatonic. Cooler crossed his arms and took a bold pose. "Hurry and dry your tears so we may end this farce." Komatsuna looked down at the hulking saiyan, who was clenching his fists. Pinach turned to Iseber's mangled corpse and grimaced. Unbridaled pain tore through his heart when he'd realized he'd lost his master, best friend, and sweetheart in a single night.

The sun's golden rays washed over the horizon as it played peek-a-boo with the hills. Despite the circumstances, the lad found himself fighting back tears. The saiyaness growled at Cooler, who was clearly enjoying himself. "Bastard!" The tyrant laughed hysterically. Then his face became unusually cruel, even for an ice demon. "Funny, because my father was always around... The battle of Meat was quite the campaign, wasn't it?" Cooler's tongue was clad in silver, sharp as a katana, and drenched with venom.

A single tear rolled down her cheek. Her face displayed nothing except hate and contempt. He'd gone through her records as he did routinely with all his staff. The ice tyrant taunted her more. "Aww, don't cry. I'm sure you, him, Tarro, and the rest of your savage kin can get along swimmingly in hell!" Cooler raised two fingers and formed a tense red ki sphere. His arm rose and sliced down, intending to cut the world in two. The attack never made it from his hand; a gargantuan explosion rocked the plains.

Komatsuna was blindsided by the shockwave. It blew her a thousand meters away. She landed in a huge mound of snow. When she came to, the woman dug herself out and looked towards the battlefield. A column of light stretched endlessly into the morning sky. An uneasy feeling washed over her. What happened to the wind?! The very color of reality was shifting. First red, then green, then orange, then normal again.

Cooler stood at ground zero. When his hands lowered from protecting his face, his eyes were greeted by something truly horrifying. A monster stood before him. Its cropped black hair had turned into a brilliant orange, spiky plume. Its eyes were solid white and it had grown at least two feet, towering over Cooler. The black jumpsuit it was wearing was torn off from the waist up, revealing its hulking pale torso, as well as the chain tattoos that covered it. Each breath from the creature was a grunt.

For the first time, terror leaked through the tyrant's cruel demeanor. His legs and arms shook as he felt the power radiating off the demon in front of him, the demon he had unleashed. "W-what is this?! What are you?!" The creature looked down at him. It snarled before roaring a deafening roar. Cooler grimaced and covered his bleeding ears. In the distance, the observing saiyaness yelped when her acute hearing caught the sound. Even further away, the children around the fire turned their heads; the roar sounded like a distorted boom bellowing out after an explosion.

Cooler opened his eyes just in time to see the behemoth's massive hand go for his head. He unsuccessfully tried to push it away using both arms. The hand closed around his face like a vice grip. Cooler clawed away at the monster's arm in futility. While he cursed, the monster grinned maliciously. Effortlessly, the mighty space tyrant was tossed. His body crashed through the hills, ripping the landscape asunder. It didn't take long for even more magma to seep to the surface.

Bloodied and bruised, he crawled out of the 'trench', looking back with angry red eyes. The demon was floating gently towards him with a predatory smile on its face. Fear overtook the tyrant for a moment before rage returned. He leapt high into the sky and raised his hands to charge a supernova. The demon halted and smirked, crossing its arms when it saw the bright, swelling orb of energy. At the apex of its size, the supernova outshone the sun and pushed away the clouds. Cooler yelled from the heavens. "I'll admit: You're far stronger than me or my father! But it takes more than brawn to win a battle!"

Komatsuna rushed to catch up. On her way, she passed over Conch's remains. With her mind focused solely on the apocalyptic battle, it surprised her greatly when her foot was grabbed. She face-planted in the dirt, then turning around to face the groper. The saiyan woman screamed. Despite being cut in two, Conch was still alive and holding on to her boot. Her other foot stomped hard on his face repeatedly while she screamed her head off.

"Komats…*stomp*... Komat…*stomp*... Stop, damn it!..." Finally, he caught her other foot and shook her. "Get a grip! You of all people shouldn't be scared of dead bodies!" Komatsuna closed her mouth. She stood up, blushing and fixing her hair. "Yeah well, whenever someone gets cut in half, they're supposed to lie still! How the fuck are you still alive?!" Conch responded by groaning and flexing his arms. A new abdomen and set of legs burst out from his wound, prompting Komatsuna to cover her mouth in disgust.

"It's just one of the perks of being from Namek." The saiyaness looked him up and down. Juices dripped down his naked green legs. She was about to speak when she noticed something 'peculiar'. The woman began to crack up. "Where's your dick?" The namekian growled and said nothing. "Is it too small to see? Did you just not grow it back?" A vein appeared on his head and he shouted. "Namekians don't have penises! We spit eggs!"

The saiyaness continued to giggle, causing the frustration in Conch to swell. He snapped at her. "Have you completely forgotten about Iseber?! About what will happen to the saiyan race if we lose?!" Her laughter stopped abruptly; her face straightened out. She nodded and he returned the gesture. Twinkling rays of light touched the corner of their vision. Cooler had thrown the supernova.

The gargantuan sphere came crashing down towards the planet. Both Komatsuna and Conch yelled. "Nooooo!" The demon was still floating with its arms crossed, a smug grin on its face. Conch, preparing for the impact, grabbed the saiyaness and pulled her down. This action was unnecessary. The monster unfolded its hulking arms. When the edge of the sphere arrived, it held out its hand and flicked the supernova away. Cooler didn't even have time to notice what happened; he was swallowed up by his own attack.

Across the planet, the sky seemed to catch fire as the supernova exploded just past the atmosphere, shattering the magnetic field of the planet. Komatsuna and Conch got up from the ground. They looked around, bewildered that they were still breathing. Above them, aurora lights of all colors danced. The saiyaness and the namekian stood breathless before their surroundings. Slowly, a strange sensation came over them. They looked at their hands before turning to each other. The sunlight was burning their skin.

Cooler was in the same place as before the attack hit, floating high above the ground. His hand he had used to shield himself was missing. All over his body were scorch marks and gashes. The tyrant's eyes were glued to the demon. His bravado was crushed completely, the facade obliterated. He shook in terror. The monster laughed wickedly and spoke in a guttural, demonic voice. "Pathetic... Cooler supposed to be strongest... Now I am strongest!"

The ground buckled and cracked from the force of the demon charging forward. Cooler became defiant once more. "No... I am Lord Cooler! I won't be defeated by monkey trash!" The devil disappeared, surprising Cooler. When he realized where the demon had gone, it was too late. His arms were torn off of his body before he could react. The ice tyrant bellowed in pain. Blood sprayed from his wounds.

Conch and Komatsuna looked on in horror as the demon began to ferociously beat a terrified Cooler with his own arms. Conch glanced at the saiyaness, who was shaking a little. A massacre like this must be rare, even for saiyan eyes... He looked back at the carnage. ... And we'll be next if something isn't done, and fast! Without looking back, he spoke. "Komatsuna. Cooler isn't gonna last much longer. When Pinach kills him, he's gonna turn on us. When that happens, this is what we need to do…"

Cooler was being punctured by the giant hands of the demon. It pulled organs from his chest, literally ripping him to pieces. With the removal of his lungs, he was no longer able to scream. One might feel bad for Cooler if they didn't know much about him. "...and don't worry about hurting him. If you hold back even a little, this won't work. Understand?" The long-haired saiyaness gulped. "Yeah."

The ice tyrant's final moment arrived; he was little more than a floating head and shoulders. A vile grin ripped across the demon's face as it raised its hand. Cooler's mask had been torn off, revealing his horrified expression. An intense green energy appeared in the demon's hand. Without hesitation, the demon rid the universe of Cooler. Its attack ripped through the sky, burning off a wide swath of the atmosphere. The beam travelled through space, out of the solar system. With the dust settling from its attack, the devil turned to the other two prey items. It laughed maniacally; its ki was out of control. The planet began to tremble. Great pieces of soil and rock lifted from the ground.

Back at camp, the mortified children all huddled in Ginge's house; formerly the safest place in camp. Celle and Veeda were sitting on Ginge's bed, holding each other, when Celle's foot touched something under the bed. Perplexed, the girl pulled it out with her foot. It was a small, round object that looked nothing like anything she had ever seen.

She picked it up and studied it. It had a purple body with a white button in its center. With everyone watching her, she hesitantly pushed it. Nothing happened. She pushed it again. A few seconds of silence passed before a holographic image shot forth, scaring everyone. It was an image of a blue humanoid with tall white hair and silver eyes. A long, awkward pause followed before a soft, elegant voice spoke. "Uh, hello?"

More silence followed. "Well if there isn't a problem, I'm just gonna go, ok?" Celle blurted out before he ended the transmission. "Wait! Yes, there's a problem! A big one!" The white haired humanoid inquired. "Oh? And what would that be?" Celle took the device and held it up to the window for him to see the apocalypse outside. "Oh my... That is a problem." She pulled the device back in. "Please help us! We don't want to die!"

A sigh came through the speaker of the device. "I already told you all; I can't return to that world." This confused the children; they didn't recognize him. Another pause followed, and another sigh. The children embraced one another tightly. "But I suppose I was the one who put you there... Alright, press the red button on the bottom of the communicator." Fiddling, Celle did as she was told. The device jerked itself from her hands and floated in the middle of the room. It glowed brighter and brighter until finally, the tall humanoid being materialized out of it.

Among the children, the being stood with its staff and dark clothes. Slowly, the oldest children began to recognize him. Celle stammered. "I-it's you!" Whis smiled down at her before turning on his heels and brushing past everyone. The saiyan children piled on top of each other, trying to watch the angel through the windows. When he stepped through the front door, he gracefully levitated off the ground before accelerating to unfathomable speed. His departure left no sign of its occurrence; not a single grain of dust was kicked up.

Both Komatsuna and Conch stood ready to enact their plan. Timing was key. Just when the right moment seemed to present itself, the demon abruptly stopped laughing. It grunted and groaned. Suddenly, it threw its arms out and screamed. Thousands of tiny blasts flew from its body, generating massive explosions all across the planet. The ground split and lava rose through the giant canyons, forcing the namekian and saiyaness to take to the sky.

Komatsuna quipped at the guardian. "What's the plan now, dickless?! We can't even get close!" Conch ignored her griping. "It's insane... He's expelling excess energy!" The saiyan woman looked back at that terrible demon who resembled someone she knew. To think, with all the fruity things you told me, you had this inside you... I would be kinda proud if I weren't about to bite it. You'd better kill Freeza, kid. You owe me that much.

The winds got higher and higher as the planet became unstable. Lightning raced across the planet's surface. The end was near. She glanced at Conch. He had dropped his stance, accepting and lamenting the fate of the world he was trusted to guard. "Why aren't you using that magic bullshit you told me about?! The tattoos on his body?!" The namekian solemnly shook his head. "It's already in effect." She looked at the demon. Sure enough, the chain tattoos were glowing a bright white. "He's beyond my control, or anyone's control... I seriously doubt that even a hundred Freeza's could stop him. It's over."

A soft voice from behind nearly made the pair jump out of their skin. "Oh my…" They whipped around to find Whis floating, holding his staff. He slipped between them as they watched in confusion. Conch tried to grab his arm but froze in place. What is this?! I can't move my body!... Who is this man? He tried to read the stranger's mind to no avail. He couldn't be... divine?! Whis looked back at him, smiling. "Hold that thought please." The angel turned his focus back on the demon, then flew off.

Through a storm of ki blasts, he effortlessly dodged them all; Whis could walk between the raindrops if he wished. The demon looked down from its rage-cry and swung its lumbering arm at the angel, who gracefully dodged. More heavy blows were thrown, kicks and punches, all dodged. Finally, the demon attempted to knee the divine attendant. Its bloodlust was halted momentarily when its attack was blocked... by a pinkie finger. For the first time ever, this demon was on the backfoot; its face displayed surprise. When its rage returned, the fight was over. Whis' crystal staff-head came crashing down on the back of its head. No one even saw him get behind it.

Both Komatsuna and Conch's jaws dropped. Pinach fell towards a running river of lava, and was caught by the angel just before he reached it. Whis floated over and dropped Pinach on a strip of ground surrounded by lava. The bodies of Iseber, Tarro, and an unconscious Been, rested on the island nearby. Conch was the first to descend, then the saiyaness. They touched down behind Whis.

"Are you... a kai?" Asked a terrified Conch. The angel turned to face the two. "No. I am not." A feeling of relief washed over him, followed by a wave of confusion. "But then how is it I can't sense your energy? Are you a god?" Whis smiled his enigmatic smile. "I possess divine energy, but no, I am not a god either. I serve Lord Beerus the destroyer." That name rang through the guardian's head several times. Finally, it rang a bell. Conch got on his hands and knees, bowing. "Lord Beerus is here?!"

The attendant put his hand over his mouth, laughing. "You have nothing to fear. My lord is back home, sleeping. He's not set to wake up for another thirty-seven years." A big sigh of relief escaped Conch's lips. He looked over at Komatsuna, who was thoroughly overwhelmed by the events of the past five minutes. He turned back to the angel. "Forgive my rudeness, your grace, but if Lord Beerus isn't here, why are you?" Whis looked down at Pinach, who was softly snoring. "To collect a potential playmate for my lord."

His answer rendered Conch dumbfounded. A playmate?! "I'm not sure I understand." The angel waved his staff over Pinach; the crystal ball sucked him in like a vortex. He turned back to the namekian, his face turning serious. "The truth is that I'm not supposed to be here. The laws of this universe forbid me from interfering with mortals of my own accord... I am the one who put the saiyans here." Everything made sense to Conch now. It had been a mystery to him why these children showed up on his world. "So what happens now? What do you plan to do with Pinach?"

Komatsuna took a battle stance, but Conch motioned for her to stop. There was no point in resistance, no matter the angel's answer. A pause followed. "I'm taking him with me for a while. If I don't, it's likely he will become a danger not only to this planet, but to the universe as a whole. He has already attained a level far beyond any mortal in recent history, and he will only continue to grow stronger." Conch understood exactly what this meant. "He can never return, can he..."

The angel bowed his head. "I'm afraid not. Not anytime soon." He began levitating upwards. As he did so, Komatsuna hissed at Conch. "Are we seriously just gonna stand here?!" The guardian grabbed her wrist and yanked her back. "It's for his own good... It's for everyone's good." A bright, twisting light enveloped Whis while the saiyaness looked on in frustration. The light focused upwards in a beam, bursting and taking the attendant with it.

Komatsuna turned to Conch, her tail bristling as her fury erupted. "I can't believe this! You really just let that prissy snob run off with him?! We could have done something!" The namekian was as upset as she, though for different reasons. "I didn't want to let Pinach go either, but there was nothing we could have done. He's a god. We wouldn't have been able to even land a finger on him, you saw what he did." She had no argument there. That prissy snob was several leagues above her. Whipping her long hair, she huffed and spun around. "Whatever you say, dickless!"

Conch's eye twitched as she walked away. "You know? You're probably the most abrasive person I've ever met." The woman kept walking, signalling her indifference with her hand. He continued to watch as she marched up to Been, who was still out, snoring. Conch smirked as the saiyan's rotund features were hoisted up onto Komatsuna's shoulders. "What are you going to do with him?" The saiyaness turned with the blubbery saiyan. "If his ship wasn't destroyed: send him somewhere far away from me."

As she floated off into the distance with Been, a question nagged at the back of Conch's mind. How the hell did he sleep through all that? He shook his head and took off for home. There were some 'things' he needed to get.

Been's circular attack pod shot up from the impact crater, creating a huge puff of dust…

Komatsuna stood in the crater, holding her hand up to her brow like a visor, watching Been soar through the sky. Finally! He's finally fucking gone! I never have to see that fat, disgusting fuck again! She could almost jump for joy. When Been's pod was out of sight, the saiyaness hopped out of the crater and scanned the horizon. Seeing Tarro's pod nearby gave her an idea. "Hmm. If these puny attack balls survived, surely the commandship should still be around?" She pondered the idea. Slowly, a malicious smile formed on her face. Her despoiler tendencies would be sated one more time... at least.
