Updates will slow down since I need to focus on school first and foremost, so your patience is appreciated as the next few chapters will take some time.

"I don't want to watch our children go through what we are going through right now. I want to change it, Ghira. I want to make a Menagerie great again, I want to show the Humans that we will not stay silent to the way we have been treated, but we will not resort to needless violence. I want to work together with the Kingdoms." Kali told her boyfriend.

"Alright, I'm on board with that plan but…which kingdom should we start with?" Ghira asked, arms crossed over his chest, watching Kali, who was sitting down on the bed.

"Vacuo." Kali said. Ghira nods and smiles at the Cat Faunus. The two shared a small kiss.

"I'm going to assume you want to start with Team STRQ." It wasn't a question.

"You already know the answer to that." Kali said, smirking.

"First off," Raven looked hard at Taiyang and Summer before continuing. "The tragedy of Mountain Glenn has already occurred. We cannot change that. But what we can change is the circumstances which the girls go there." Raven stared at both her leader and the father of her child.

Neither answered.

"Guys, give us something. Please." Qrow said, worried about the two other members of his team.

"Okay, you're right. But…how can we change anything? I mean…" The blonde young man sighed, running a hand through his hair.

Raven leaned forward and raked her hand through the slightly longer than average blond hair, ruffling it and making it stick up in many directions.

That got a smile from Tai and Summer. "Thanks." Tai said, giving Raven a small peck on her cheek.

"I think we should start simple." Qrow spoke up. The other three looked at him, waiting for the black haired male to continue with his idea. "We graduate and stay together as a team. We can meet up with Kali and Ghira after we're done with Beacon, show Menagerie that it's possible for Humans and Faunus to live and work together for a common goal." He breathed in and said the last piece of his small speech. "And then we can focus on our family."

"I can get behind that." Taiyang said, looking between the mothers of his daughters. "But it looks like Yang was born around the time we graduate. So…that might be a bit difficult if we need to raise a child, if we don't settle down on Patch."

"But what about Blake? Yang and Blake could grow up and be friends together while we're helping Kali and Ghira with Menagerie and the White Fang! And then with Yang, Blake, and Ruby, all we're missing is Weiss!" Summer exclaimed.

"So we are going to be letting Ruby skip two years ahead?" Taiyang asked Summer.

"Uh…maybe? I don't think that Ozpin's offer is a bad one. But I think we need to make sure Ruby is ready to be moved up two years…if it happens. Remember guys, we are watching our future, a lot of things could change, Ozpin might not offer Ruby a place at Beacon if she doesn't stop the robbery in the first episode." Summer told them.

"How about we agree to disagree. We will be different when we go back after we're done watching the kids. Same with Kali and Ghira. We do what Qorw suggested. Take all of this one step at a time." Tai reasoned.

"Alright then, we're all in agreement?" Raven asked.

"Yeah."

"Then let's see if Kali and Ghira are done so we can watch the next episode." Raven said, waving her teammates back towards the small viewing room.

"You two done?" Raven asked.

"Yes, we wish to include you four in our plans to show the world that Humans and Faunus can work together toward a common goal." Kali said.

The four huntsmen in training looked at each other and grinned. "We'd be happy to help, Chieftain Kali Belladonna." Summer smiled at the other woman.

Kali chuckled and nodded. "Thank you, all four of you."

"Shall we?" Ghira had the remote in his hand once more. They all nod and he presses the PLAY button.

Mountain Glenn

General James Ironwood looking out from the landing docks of Beacon Academy to the city of Vale at night, a few airships hovering over the lit-up buildings. Walking up from behind him is Glynda Goodwitch.

"Well this is an odd start." Raven said.

"You think that they end up together?" Tai asks.

"Maybe. I wouldn't be opposed to Ironwood and Glynda becoming romantically involved." Ghira says.

"Trouble sleeping?" Glynda asks as she steps up next to the Atlas native.

Ironwood looked back, gripping his shoulder with the other hand. "Arm was acting up."

Summer grabs the remote to pause it just them. "He has cybernetic prosthetics!"

"What could have happened to him? He just said that his arm…his whole arm…" Kali gasped.

"Grimm?" Raven suggested.

"I don't think so." Summer shook her head, refuting Raven.

"So what could it be?" Qrow asks his leader.

Summer frowned. "I…I think so sort of accident happened, not with Grimm, but…maybe something to do with the military? He is the General of Atlas, a project or experiment going wrong during the final observation period, possibly."

"That makes sense." Raven muttered. "Maybe we see what happens later on."

"Of course, so logically, you got out of bed, dressed yourself completely and decided to gaze menacingly out into the distance." She approaches all the way to his side, then looks at him concerned. "What's wrong?"

"Goodwitch has got him there." Taiyang said, snorting.

"I've trusted him for years. We both have. I just... I can't help but feel like he's keeping us in the dark." Ironwood sighed.

Summer squeezes Taiyang's hand, thinking back to the conversation between the mystery woman and Ozpin from the beginning.

"Whatever this is we will do it together." Qrow whispered reassuringly in Summer's ear.

"Don't count us out." Ghira said, giving a nod and comforting hand on Summer's back.

"Don't be ridiculous! You know very well that we are not the ones in the dark." Glynda says.

"What does that mean?" Qrow asks, worried about his nieces, Blake, Weiss, and Team JNPR.

"Yeah, that's not cryptic at all." Taiyang said sarcastically.

"This is not what I expected." Ghira rubbed his chin, eyes flickering between Summer and the twins.

Ironwood laughs humorously. "That makes it worse! I refuse to believe that a man that I've trusted for so long would act so... passively."

"Calling it right now! Something bad is going to happen to Vale and Ironwood tries to stop it." Tai exclaimed.

"It will most likely be about the girls." Ghira said, thinking about his daughter.

Glynda puts a reassuring hand on her friend's shoulder. "You're a good person, James. You've always done what you think is best for the people, even against strong protest. It's admirable. But it's high time you stopped talking about trust and started showing it." She drops her hand as they stare into the distance together. "Ozpin has experience that the rest of us lack. And I think that's something worth remembering."

"Trust is going to be a very big theme throughout the rest of what we watch." Kali comments.

"What makes you say that? Other than the obvious." Qrow wonders.

"Ironwood doesn't fully trust Ozpin. Glynda does but knows that he's hiding something. And Ozpin is the one holding all of the answers." Kali explained, tapping her finger to her cheek.

The full moon is shining over the ruined buildings of Mountain Glenn, and a lone Beowolf is searching through the rubble. It looks up briefly at the young girl who has it in her red crosshair scope, but Ruby Rose just lowers Crescent Rose and sighs in tiredness as she keeps lookout over the destruction. The rest of her team is lying down on their sleeping mats around the fire with weapons nearby, and Doctor Bartholomew Oobleck is higher up, slumped down against the wall next to the hole in the ceiling/floor. The three members of RWBY have their eyes closed, but Yang Xiao Long is the first to stop pretending.

"Ruby is growing into a capable leader." Raven said, nodding approvingly toward Summer.

"Thanks, Raven." Taiyang said, grinning.

"Blake, are you awake?" Yang asks.

Blake sighs, opening her eyes. "Yeah."

"Why do you think he asked us about being a Huntress? Like, what was he trying to say?" Yang asked her partner.

"He wants to see what motivates them." Ghira said. "If they are able to endure the life of a Huntsman. I think that with some time they will be a great team."

"As do I, but the children are in training right now. Let's not send them off to war so soon, yes?" Kali said, a bit of a hard edge to her tone. Ghira winced and rubbed the back of his head.

"Right, of course, Kali." He agreed with his girlfriend.

"Whipped." Qrow smirked.

"You will be too once you find the person who completes you." Ghira said, full confidence in his voice once again.

The younger twin frowned. "I doubt that."

Everyone gave Qrow deadpan looks. "You will find someone who loves you for you. No matter who it is, whether they be Human, Faunus, male or female. It doesn't matter to us, all that matters is if you're happy." Summer said, giving Qrow a bright smile.

"You know she's right, right?" Raven commented, "You don't have to be alone, Qrow. And I doubt that Kali, Ghira, Summer, or Taiyang will ever let you forget that you have friends and a family waiting for you if you just open your eyes."

"And when did you become so knowledgeable about family matters, Rae?" He asked his sister.

"When I found out I left my newborn daughter and my husband. I won't do that again, even if this is the future. I will not abandon my family." Raven declared.

"I know you won't leave us." Tai said softly, taking Raven's hand in his own.

"Maybe he was just curious." Blake said.

Yang raised an eyebrow. "You think?"

"No." the Cat Faunus said flatly.

"Weiss, are you awake?" Yang calls out to her other teammate.

Weiss scoffed, "Of course I'm awake! You two are talking. And I think he...When I said I wanted to honor my family's name, I meant it. But, it's not what you think. I'm not stupid. I'm fully aware of what my father has done with the Schnee Dust Company. Since he took control, our business has operated in a...moral gray area."

Blake snorted. "That's putting it lightly."

"No kidding." Raven muttered.

"Let's agree that Jacques Schnee is a despicable Human who does not deserve anything he has, however we will not kill him, no matter how much we may want to!" Kali yelled sternly, staring at the twins and Ghira specifically.

"Why can't we?" Qrow said, almost sounding like he was whining.

"Because he has two daughters, one of which is on a team with our children!" Kali said, waving her arms around to get her point across.

"Fine…but that doesn't mean we won't screw with him." Qrow said, a large mischievous grin on his face.

Kali jerked away from the dark haired male as she slowly eyed Raven. "Is…should I be concerned?"

"Not if you don't stop him. He loves screwing with assholes. And Jacques Schnee is one of the biggest assholes out there. Besides Iron-dick." Raven shrugged.

"Yeah, don't worry so much, Kali." Tai said, clapping Qrow on his back. "We'll keep him out of trouble."

"Yeah right. I'm nothing but trouble, Tai. Or has the past two years at Beacon not shown you that already?"

Tai groaned, a frown on his face. "Will you stop? We are not going to abandon you! You can't get rid of us that easily, Qrow."

"That's true, Qrow. You are our family. Get used to being loved and spoiled rotten, same with you Rae." Summer said, a teasing smile on her face.

"Don't drag me into this!" Rae shrieked as Tai grabbed her around her waist and tickled her as she laughed. Summer doing the same with Qrow.

"No! Sum- don't!" Qrow burst out laughing, his rust-red eyes looking lighter and softer than any of them have seen them before. The only time that they have seen him relax and seem happy throughout this viewing are when Ruby and Yang are on the TV.

Kali and Ghira share a look and smile at the scene. "They are truly a family." Kali whispered to her boyfriend.

"Yes, they are. But we are also a part of that family." Ghira said, giving the Cat Faunus a chaste kiss on her lips.

When Team STRQ calmed down, they continued.

"Which is why I feel the need to make things right. If I had taken a job in Atlas, it wouldn't have changed anything. My father was not the start of our name, and I refuse to let him be the end of it." Weiss said determinedly.

Blake sighed. "All my life, I fought for what I thought was right. I had a partner named Adam. More of a mentor, actually. He always assured me that what we were doing would make the world a better place. But of course, his idea of a perfect future turned out to be not perfect for everyone. I joined the Academy because I knew that Huntsmen and Huntresses were regarded as the noblest warriors in the world. Always fighting for good. But I never really thought past that. When I leave the Academy, what will I - how can I undo so many years of hate?"

The two Faunus glance at each other in worry. If what Blake was insinuating was true…Adam was even more dangerous than ever before.

"I'm sure you'd figure it out. You're not one to back down from a challenge, Blake." Yang assured her partner.

"But I am! I do it all the time! When you learned I was a Faunus, I didn't know what to do, so I ran! When I realized my oldest partner had become a monster, I ran! Even my Semblance! I was born with the ability to leave behind a shadow of myself; an empty copy that takes the hit while I run away!"

Kali gripped Ghira's arm, her other hand covering her mouth. "Blake….what did he do to you?"

"Whatever Adam did or didn't do, we will help you." Summer said, wrapping the smaller Faunus in a hug.

"At least you two have something that drives you. I've just kinda of always, gone with the flow, y'know? And that's fine, I mean, that's who I am. But how long can I really do that for? I wanna be a Huntress, not really because I want to be a hero, but because I want the adventure. I want a life where I won't know what tomorrow will bring. And that'll be a good thing. Being a Huntress just happens to line up with that. I'm not like Ruby; she's always wanted to be a Huntress. It's like she said, ever since she was a kid, she'd dreamt about being the heroes in the books. Helping people and saving the day, and never asking for anything else in return. Even when she couldn't fight, she knew that's what she wanted to do. That's why she trained so hard to get where she is today." Yang told her other teammates.

Raven and Taiyang couldn't look at anyone else in the room. Whatever happened between Team STRQ truly broke them beyond repair. And Raven had no doubt that she was to blame. She always was in some way. Raven always blamed Qrow when they were kids in the Tribe because it was easier, but it wasn't always true. Yes, Qrow is a literal Bad Luck charm, but he's not the one who pushes everyone away with anger. That was her, Raven Branwen, the next Chieftain of the Branwen Tribe.

Qrow took his sister's hand and wrapped her in his arms, dragging her into his lap and just holding her. He knew her so well, and that scared her. Letting anyone else close like how she was with Qrow truly made her want to run away, but knowing what happens to her family because of her decision makes her want to at least try to get closer to Taiyang and Summer, now that also includes Kali and Ghira.

"Well, she's still just a kid." Weiss said.

"She's only two years younger. We're all kids." Blake pointed out.

Yang chuckled humorlessly. "Well, not anymore. I mean, look where we are! In the middle of a warzone and armed to the teeth!"

"It's the life we chose." Blake said, glancing at both Weiss and Yang.

"It's a job. We all had this romanticized vision of being a Huntress in our heads! But at the end of the day, it's a job to protect the people! And whatever we want, will have to come second." Weiss says, frowning in thought.

"Weiss and Blake are right. It's a job first and foremost, and it is the path that they all chose." Summer said in her 'leader voice' as Qrow and Tai call it.

The apparently-sleeping Oobleck has a small smile when she finishes.

"So they finally realize why he asked." Ghira chuckled.

Yang has taken up watch, allowing for Ruby and Zwei to sleep on the sleeping bag Yang had been lying on. Zwei suddenly wakes and stands up, causing Ruby to wake up.

"Huh? Zwei, it's late. Go back to bed." Ruby said to her dog, however Zwei runs off. "Zwei! Zwei! Ugh!" Ruby wanders out of the building, looking for Zwei. "Zwei! Zwei, where are you? Zwei! Huh?" Ruby spots Zwei urinating on some ruins. "Zwei, this is a wasteland! You literally could have done that anywhere!"

All six adults laugh and chuckle at that. "Well, he does have his own needs." Kali says with a smile on her face as Taiyang's face burns red in embarrassment.

Zwe' barks, and that attracts the attention of a White Fang Guard. "What was that?" The first guard asks.

Both Faunus tense and worry for Ruby. 'What the hell is happening with the White Fang…and why is it happening?' Ghira wonders.

Having heard the WF Guard, Ruby hides behind some ruins. "What was what?" The second guard asks the other.

"I thought I heard a Beowolf or something." The first guard said, shaking his head.

The second White Fang guard grunted. "Hmph. Let's just finish our patrol and get back to base. This place gives me the creeps."

As the WF Guards walk away, Ruby and Zwei sneak around in the background, following them. They eventually reach a ruined building with a pair of metal doors, and Ruby hides behind a corner, holding Zwei out to watch them.

"Did they go in yet? One bark means yes." Ruby asks the corgi. The sound of the door closing echoes out and Zwei barks in confirmation.

"Oh! This is it! This is it!" She brings out a small scroll and tries to call her teammates. However, the screen says 'Low Signal.' "Aw man! Come on, we gotta get the others!"

"Something is going to go horribly wrong." Raven deadpanned.

"Yep, Rubes has a knack for getting into trouble. Especially with the law… you know what, so does Yang." Tai says, shaking his head as he thought about his daughters and their run-ins with the law and criminals.

"Yes, but what will go wrong?" Kali questions.

Ruby and Zwei hurry off down the street. However, the asphalt beneath them suddenly sinks before caving in. Ruby grabs onto a ledge and catches Zwei. She tosses him up out of the hole and begins to attempt to pull herself up. However, the ledge she is holding onto breaks off, and she plummets into a huge cave filled with ruined buildings, far below the surface. She lands on a building up against a cavern wall, and as she gets up, a nearby door bursts open to reveal two other WF Guards, one of whom is Perry.

"No, Ruby!" Summer and Tai shout in fear for their daughter, the twins and the two Faunus grab at each other and watch as the scene unfolds without them being able to do anything about it.

"This- Tai-!" Summer couldn't continue saying whatever she wanted to because of the tears streaming down her face.

"Freeze!" The first White Fang guard shouts to Ruby.

"Where did she come from?" The second asks.

As the White Fang Guards walk forward, Ruby backs away only to end up on the very edge of the platform.

"Be careful! You are so grounded if you do this, young lady!" Taiyang yelled sternly, worry in his voice.

"You're a long way from home, little girl." The guard said.

Ruby reaches back for her scythe, only to realize that she doesn't have it. Both guards approach her, and one of them grabs her arm. "Hey! Hands off!" Ruby jerks her arm out of the guard's hand and starts punching him. It has very little effect, and he punches her in the face hard enough to knock her down.

"Ruby!" Summer, Tai, and Qrow shout together.

"That's gotta hurt." Raven mutters.

"The boss is gonna want to see this one..." The guard kicks her in the head hard enough to knock her out.

Yang turns to Weiss. "Hey Weiss, it's your... Ruby? Hey, where's Ruby?"

"What?" Oobleck asks Ruby's older sister.

Zwei comes running into the room, barking. "Zwei?" Yang calls out to her dog.

"What's going on?" Blake asks, wondering what was happening and where Ruby was.

Oobleck frowns deeply. "Grab your weapons! Your leader may be in trouble."

"No shit." Qrow mutters, he may not be friends with the green haired…man, like Tai was, but that didn't mean he didn't respect him and Port. For whatever their differences are, they are still Hunters in the future and that makes a world of difference when it comes to his family.

Ruby awakes to the two White Fang Guards who caught her dragging her by both arms through the underground city. All around her, White Fang members are at work, doing various things such as piloting a Paladin to carry large shipping containers. There is a loud sound nearby as one of the White Fang members drops a large device.

"Hey, be careful! What are you trying to do, blow us to the moon?" A third guard shouts.

"Sorry sir!" the fourth apologizes.

"Hey boss! Found something you might want to see!" Perry called out to his boss.

"Who's the boss?" Kali asks.

"Either Roman or Adam from what we know already." Taiyang answers.

"Is it good or bad, Perry? Because let me tell ya, I have had a day." Roman asks, his voice muffled by being inside the railcar.

Perry shifts and says, "Uh, it's a little girl?"

He leans out through the doorway and sees Ruby. "That would be bad."

"Shit." Three of Team STRQ's members swore.

"What is he going to do to Ruby?" Summer clenched her fists in her white cloak, worried and fearful for the fate of her daughter.

Zwei leads Oobleck and Ruby's teammates to the hole that Ruby fell into, and Yang spots Crescent Rose next to the hole. "Ruby's scythe!"

Blake gasped. "Oh no."

Weiss looked between her remaining teammates. "Do you think she fell?"

Oobleck looks up, "Fell?"

Weiss pointed. "Down there."

Oobleck looks down at the hole. "Oh my. Of course! Of course, OF COURSE, OF COURSE!"

Blake eyes the professor. "What is it?"

Oobleck slaps his forehead. "How could I be so stupid?!"

Summer and Tiayang gasped, horror on their faces as they realize the exact same thing that Oobleck realizes.

"No…" the two Vale natives pale.

Yang looks toward the doctor. "Dr. Oobleck, what's wrong?"

"Mountain Glenn! Yes, an expansion of Vale that was inevitably destroyed by creatures of Grimm! Previously home to thousands of people! Working people commuting to the city, the main city! Developed a subway system to the inner city! Grimm attacks increased! Population in danger, now desperately searching for shelter! City evacuates into the metro tunnels and what do they find? The southeast quadrant of Vale is known for wild forests and deep caves!"

"Grimm! There are Grimm all over those tunnels!" Ghira says, as he blanches in terror. Neither he nor Kali had ever been in a truly bad Grimm attack, but that doesn't mean that they don't happen on Menagerie, it's just very uncommon.

Yang frowned, not understanding what the green haired man was saying. "Doc, what are you saying?"

Oobleck grabs Yang's shoulders. "My dear, we're not just looking for an underground crime network, we're looking for an UNDERGROUND crime network!"

"They've been working in caves?" Blake asks.

"No, no, Mountain Glenn was Vale's first serious attempt at expansion. It worked for a short period of time, thanks to an aggressive perimeter defense, and unique transportation; the city developed an elaborate subway system to carry citizens safely from the new territory into the main Kingdom! Sadly, without the many natural barriers Vale had to protect its borders, Mountain Glenn was doomed from the start! As the end drew near, the citizens of the territory made one last attempt at survival: They took up shelter beneath the city! In massive caves that they had cleared out for the subway. And they had cut themselves off from the surface!"

Yang asks, "An underground village?"

"In a matter of speaking, yes. A safe haven. Until... an explosion opened the mouth of another cavern, filled with subterranean Grimm. After that, the Kingdom officially sealed off the tunnels, creating the world's largest tomb. If Ruby is down there," Oobleck deploys Antiquity's Roast, "we must find her..."

"Fuck, fuck, fuck! We can't stop now! We need to find out what's going to happen to Ruby!" Qrow said.

"This isn't good." Ghira grumbled.

"'Not good' is an understatement, Ghira." Qrow growled.

"Let's continue, is that alright with everyone?" Kali asks, not wanting an argument to start between Qrow and Ghira. They all nod, Summer and Tai more vigorously than strictly necessary, but they had a reason to worry and fear. Their daughter was in danger, as well as the rest of their kingdom.
