Emma's P.O.V * the talk with Liam*

Killian and I are going to meet Liam at Granny's diner for the talk and dinner of course, we get in the car and drive down there and I hate that Killian doesn't want to do this and I hate that he is doing this for me. Before we get there I say "you don't have to do this Killian"

"Yes I do and if you want to then I want to," he says while giving my hand a squeeze.

"You sure?"

"Yes, are you?"

"yeah...I love you and you know Liam is going to bring up the fact that we have only been dating for 2 months and that it's too early for us to move in together"

"I know but I don't care"

We walked into Granny's and sat at a booth, I am very nervous about what Liam is going to say...all I want is my best friend back, that's all I want. Knowing that he has been in love with me since we met is not what I need and he wants me to be with him but I'm in love with Killian and only him, if I had known Liam was in love with me before then maybe this would have been different.

Liam comes into the diner and sits down next to Killian and in this moment both men are staring at me and I don't know what to do. "Why are we here?" Liam asks.

"Do you really have to ask that question?" Killian asks him with a tone.

"Killian... Liam ever since I started dating your brother everything has been very different between us, and then you telling me that you have been in love with me since we met just makes things worse, all I want is my best friend back and for you to be happy that I'm finally happy with someone" I say to Liam while trying not to cry.

"Emma of course I'm happy that you are happy but I want you to be happy with me, having you be with my brother makes thing worse, a few weeks before you met him you told me when you were drunk that you were not attracted to me at all then to have you be with my brother and find him attractive...it hurts and I just know he is going to hurt you in the long run" Liam says.

"Maybe he's right, maybe I will hurt you in the long run, maybe we should just end it now" Killian says out of nowhere.

"What" Liam and I say at the same time.

"Emma, maybe he is right" Killian says then he winks at me.

"What are you saying?" I ask while playing along to whatever he has planned.

"This isn't going to work, everything that Liam has been trying to tell us is right"

"You're leaving me just because of what your brother said"

"I've been thinking about for awhile now"

"I'm going to give you two a minute," Liam says as he leaves the table.

"Okay we both know that Liam is not going to listen to us so if we make him believe that we are ending it then we can move in together and be happy without him being around and trying to ruin it" Killian says when he knows Liam can't hear us.

"Okay, I'm in"

"We're done, we've been done for awhile now!" he says loud enough for Liam to hear then he gets up and walks toward the door.

"So just like that you are going to throw everything we have down the drain" I say while making myself cry.

"We don't have anything" he says then leaves granny's. I then sit back down and continue to fake cry so Liam believes it.

"Are you okay, I didn't think he was going to leave you like that"

"No I'm not okay I need to go home...we'll talk later" I say. I leave and Killian is waiting for me in the car around the corner. When I got to the car we just went straight to my apartment and when we got into the living room we started laughing uncontrollably. "I can't believe he bought that" I say to him while leaning on him on the couch.

"My brother is stupid, what did he say after I left Granny's?" Killian asks me while he holds me.

"He asked if I was okay, I told him no while still crying and told him that I would talk to him later, I left and went to the car"

"Wow, he asked you if you were okay after he thought you were just broken up with, what an asshole, what was he thinking you were going to say…yeah I fine nothing is wrong...idiot"

"How are we going to go places now?"

"I don't know but we can just tell other people what's going on, make sure they don't have Liam find out, but what I do know is that I love you and I'm not going to leave you just because he doesn't want me with you" he says as he kisses my head.

Killian's P.O.V

Me and Emma go back to her apartment after the fake break up and we laugh about what happened and then she wonders what was going to happen. I tell her that we will figure something out and that I love her and I will not leave her just because my brother doesn't want me with her, she is the love of my life and I know it for a fact, she is everything I have ever wanted and she is everything I will ever need. I want to marry her one day and have a family with her and only her, she is everything to me and my brother can kiss my ass if he doesn't like it, I love her and she loves me and just because he is in love with her and he doesn't want me with her doesn't mean I will leave her just because he told me to.

"I love you, you know that, right" I asked Emma after we went to her bedroom.

"Yeah I know and I love you more" she says.

"You don't love me more then I love you"

"Yes I do"

"Not possible"

"Yes it is" she says with the cutest smile I have ever seen.

"No is not" I say while bringing her closer to me as I could as she giggled like a 5 year old. "You know you are like a little kid right?"

"I know and you love me for it"

"That I do, I don't understand why Liam doesn't want you with me, is it because I'm his brother and he is in love with you or is it because he just doesn't want you with anyone else"

"Both"

"He's an asshole"
