Hey, everyone! I'm sorry it took so long to get going again, but I got a little worried about our Boys in the finale and wanted to wait it out until I knew what happened. Now that I know it doesn't seem like I'm copying anything, I can continue (hahah) even though I had this written over a year ago. I hope everyone has a safe Thanksgiving this week. Wear a mask and stay socially distanced...here in the US, we can't seem to get our shit together, so we're gonna get shut down again, any day now. I guess we'll need more to read, so here you go!

I'd love to hear what you think! Thanks for the reads and favorites-they mean so much to me.

Chapter 12

Grace

I was firing on all cylinders as I threw myself into overdrive. "When she gets up there and realizes what is happening, she's gonna be pissed," I muttered, pressing my lips together as I spoke quietly to Dean. "There's gonna be no controlling her once she realizes that it's him."

"What do you want me to do?" Dean moved closer to me and took a deep breath. I knew he was doing everything he could to control his own emotions. Having Sam in the same mile radius as us was tempting…we hadn't been so close to him in almost eighteen months.

Pressing my lips together, I shook my head as I remembered the last time that Lucifer showed up, using Sam as a vessel. He had been there, attempting to get control of Everett, but we had been able to keep the sigils around the warehouse locked and our walls held steady. Levi had taken the roof as a sniper, but Lucifer had seen him before we had a chance to bubble-ward him. "We can't have a repeat of what happened last time," I murmured. "We almost got Levi killed."

"Why is he here?" Dean asked under his breath. He watched me wearily. "It's not like there's anything left to take."

"And Everett's at home. Maybe he doesn't know that," Faith added. "The seals are holding at home. Maybe the warding keeps him hidden."

"I don't know," I muttered, shaking my head. "There's got to be something he wants." I opened up communication once more to all the Warriors except Serra. "Are your Stones accounted for?" I asked, staring into the darkness once more.

They're not with us, but they're warded and locked up, Donna answered.

"In the same location?"

There was a hesitation before Santiago answered. Yes, he whispered, understanding immediately that it was a problem. We're already on the move, he added. We need an angel if we're going to relocate.

"Khamael, Lucia, Cas," I ordered. "Separate the Stones and ward them, now. Warriors, hold the line. We'll take care of it." I turned to Faith. "Where're our Stones?"

"At home with Ev," she whispered.

"Get there and separate them. Ward them. Do whatever you need to do to keep them away from Lucifer." With a whoosh of her wings, Faith was gone. We were another ability-gifted kid down. Things weren't looking good if Lucifer was here for a fight.

I turned back to Dean, "Stick with your plan. Take out that demon and we'll thin the herds as much as we can. I'll get the Warriors to protect the people and evacuate if necessary."

"What about you?"

Puffing out my cheeks, I let out a heavy sigh. "I'm gonna roll out the welcome wagon."

"Be careful."

Grace

Grace? Serra's voice came through my mind, obviously looking for me.

"I'm coming, hold on," I muttered.

She clicked her tongue, obviously annoyed. This little meeting is getting in the way of helping the general public, you know. I've got shit to do.

I appeared next to my sister and she lifted her eyebrows expectantly. "What?" she demanded. "What could you possibly need?"

I held out my hands and lifted my eyebrows as well, mirroring her annoyed expression. "I know," I grunted, shaking my head. "But you have to know if I needed you up here, it was important."

"What, Grace?"

Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes and showed Serra my mind's eye, seeing Lucifer, wearing Sammy as a vessel, appear near the outskirts of town, outside the walls that my daughters had created, debating on how to make it through the warding. His normally light hazel eyes glowed red and his jaw was locked together, looking as angry as I had seen him.

I held my breath as I waited for my sister to react.

"He's here," she breathed. It wasn't a question.

Releasing the breath I was holding, I nodded slowly. "I wanted you up here to make sure you were controlled. I can't have you lose your shit near your kids."

There was a good five seconds of silence as Serra absorbed the information I relayed to her as she processed her emotions. Finally, she exhaled slowly and her dark eyes flicked to my gaze. Her face was stone as she asked, "What are we going to do about it?"

"Are you here?" I asked. "I will not have you on the line if you're going to be a liability."

"I'm fine."

"You're not," I argued. "And it's fine not to be, as long as you're still going to take orders and stay with it."

"Grace," she growled, "let's do this."

Lucifer

I'll be the first to admit that the Winchester clan was formidable. Taking Sam Winchester was one of my bigger successes, and here we were, about to take the rest of them. My goal, ultimately, of course was to take the whole goddamned planet, including the Gates and all of the creatures that may or may not come out of them, but for now, I would have to settle on taking out the Warriors.

I'd get to the fucking Gatekeepers later.

You'll try, his voice echoed in my mind with annoying clarity.

Why I couldn't completely silence him was beyond me, but I still had control. I would always have control.

There was a sizzle in the atmosphere as she appeared in front of me, but still out of my range. The walls and sigils they had produced were effective to say the least. Then, almost taking my breath away in surprise, the lead Warrior appeared next to her, holding both of her guns, aiming directly at my chest. I smiled at their efforts.

"Hey there, Satan," Serendipity Winchester muttered. "It's been a minute. How about you get the fuck out of my husband?"

The Nephilim stood proudly behind her sister, eyeing me carefully. "Sam?" she asked quietly. "We're here."

"Sammy can't come to the phone right now," I grinned, reaching out to touch the warding wall as it shimmered in place. "Can I take a message?"

All around me, the undead armies that I had been creating were surrounding the town, pressing in on the warding wall with brute force. I knew as long as the walls held, we would be trapped on this side of failure. I had to figure out a way through.

"Why are you here?" the Nephilim asked, stepping towards the wall. "Unless it's to give yourself up? After all this time, you've got to be frustrated. We're on top of every move you make."

"Tracked your ass all the way into the desert across the world," Serra added, lifting her eyebrow. "What do you think about that?"

Pressing my lips together and rolling my eyes, I knew they were stalling. "Where's all your little offspring? We really need to have a little chat."

"Fuck off, Luci," Serra spat. "Either get to fighting or get the fuck away."

I sighed heavily and crossed my arms in front of my chest. "Get to fighting," I repeated slowly. "You want me to get to fighting?"

"I didn't stutter," Serendipity spat.

Grace shifted her weight from one foot to another, uneasy about her sister's attitude. I could feel the power that emanated from the half-angel…it was thrilling.

Thrilling until she lights your ass on fire, Sam's voice echoed through my head.

"Just remember, Sammy-Boy," I whispered. "She'd be lighting your ass on fire."

Listening carefully to both sides of the conversation, I was sure of it, Grace tilted her head to one side, and she tried to hide it, but the corners of her lips pulled up into a sly smile.

"Hey, Sammy," she whispered. "I knew you were in there."

Serra's eyes flicked to her sister, then she whipped her attention back to me. "Sam?" she whispered.

I grinned.

"Oh, here we go," Grace muttered, throwing her hands into the air, reinforcing the shield wall that surrounded the small town.

Serra had both of her guns out, aimed at my chest and ready to fire, but she and I both knew that her bullets would never make it through her sister's barrier. If they wanted to get to me, they'd have to join me on this side of crazy.
