Winter had come. The snow had befallen over Musutafu bringing a sign with it. Christmas is just around the corner. It was December when the snow fell, and the populace did not hesitate to spring into action and reignite the holiday cheer everyone loves.

From bright lights to decorated trees, carolers singing in the streets, the bakery's offering more hot items, people wearing their winter gear and becoming more romantic with partners, you must have been the most ignorant person to not realize that the holidays were here.

For Eri; however, she was ignorant but clueless. Christmas was a thing she has never seen in her life. The sudden change in the public demeanor confused her greatly, and it didn't help that her family was acting the same too. Even Bakugo was a little more jolly than usual.

When December came, the students of Class 1-A did not waste time in setting up decorations around the dorm both inside and outside. Eri partook in setting up the decorations to help out, but she did not understand the purpose behind it.

It was mid-day today and Eri was sitting on the couch with the TV on in the living room as the bamfs slept around the room. Class 1-A had one more school day before being let out for Christmas break. Eri wasn't watching TV as she was pondering to herself about Christmas. What is Christmas? Why is it celebrated? What does it mean to everyone and why does it require everyone to do these traditions?

Eri got off the couch when she realized she wasn't going to get answers sitting on her bottom. Eri looked around the room and spotted the one bamf she trusted more so than the others. This specific bamf had saved her more times than the others combined.

Eri walked towards the bamf sleeping on the floor curled up and shook him lightly, "Blue," Eri spoke, "Are you awake?"

Blue mumbled something under his breath before yawning and opening his eyes, "I am now," Blue looked to Eri, "Need something?"

"I have a question," Eri said.

Blue got onto his feet and got on eye level with Eri. He didn't need to crouch nor stand on his tippy toes since they were the same height. "What is it?" Blue replied.

"What is Christmas, and why is everyone so….interested in it?" Eri asked.

Blue pondered to himself. He knew this was coming sooner or later, but he didn't think he'd have to be the one to answer it.

"Christmas," Blue spoke softly, "Christmas is a time for joyfulness, giving, positivity, and spreading goodwill across the world. For some, that includes celebrating the birth of a religious figure named Jesus."

"Why the lights?" Eri asked.

"The decorations you see are part of the Christmas tradition," Blue replied, "From the red and green lights to decorated trees topped with a star, stockings over fireplaces, carolers in the streets singing Christmas music, and much more. You've seen holidays Eri," Blue looked outside a nearby, "But you've never seen Christmas. It is one of, if not, the most beloved holiday around the world for all the goodness it brings."

Eri looked outside as well. There was snow everyone but Eri could still see the decorations around the campus, "So...it's a time for when everyone decides to be kinder than usual?"

Blue chuckled a little, "More or less. For kids, they get special treatment for Christmas."

"They do?" Eri looked to Blue.

"Yes, they do," Blue kept his gaze looking out the window, "I don't think Laura has told you, but your behavior since we found you have been judged by a man who lives in the North Pole."

Eri felt uneasy, "Who?"

"Santa Claus," Blue turned his attention to Eri, "Santa is a very kind man with a gentle soul who brings gifts to good boys and girls. You've seen how he looks already. He's a big man with a red suit who has a black buckle and black boots. He has a white beard covering his face and he always says 'Ho, Ho, Ho.'" Blue stated.

Eri felt a little more secure knowing this stranger wasn't going to hurt her, "Why does he do that? What about those who are bad?"

Blue laughed a little, "So many questions Eri. It's not bad, but….I think it would be best if you see for yourself. Being told something isn't the same as experiencing it." Blue eyed all of his brothers. They were still fast asleep, "I have an idea but only if you want to do it."

Eri tilted her head, "What is it?"

"How about we go out and I'll show you everything for yourself," Blue answered.

Eri was stunned by the suggestion. Leave the building? She's never thought of that and Laura did say for her to not do it either without some kind of supervision. The bamfs count as supervisors but did extend to leaving the campus too? Eri was unsure.

"Only if you are comfortable, Eri," Blue did a 180 twirl and walked back towards the couch, "We'll be hidden from the public view; I'll make sure of that."

Eri debated her answer. She would rather have Laura around. Eri felt safest with her being present in any situation, but Blue and the bamfs have always protected her whenever she needed it.

Settling on an answer, Eri nodded her head, "Okay, Blue."

Blue smiled at her, "Go get dressed. It's going to be cold." Blue disappeared from the couch as Eri went upstairs to change into her winter attire.

To avoid being caught, Blue had teleported inside the building and past the gates with Eri. The quirk security system was altered to allow the bamfs to travel outside when needed since they still watch over some of Class 1-A's parents from time to time like Uraraka's.

Blue had teleported himself and Eri on top of a building that had a wide view of the city. Eri gazed at the sight with amazement. None of the decorations were lit up, but there was still something special to see about the lights, the character props, and the populace interacting with them.

Eri stepped towards the edge of the building and was only stopped by a small wall to prevent people from accidentally slipping off, "I can only imagine how it would look if they were lit up."

Blue stood next to Eri, his gaze also focused on the scene in front of him, "It is a sight to behold. To see the night sky light up with color and exhibiting joy is a pleasure I love to see every day. One day you'll see what I mean, but right now, I have something else I want to show you." Blue took Eri by her hand and teleported to a different location.

Blue and Eri appeared on another building. Over the ledge, a large Christmas tree was visible. Eri watched as several pedestrians walked up to the tree and left something on it or took pictures of it or with it. There was also a meet and greet with Santa Claus but it was closed due to Santa going out to 'feed the reindeers.'

Eri studied the tree. There were many ornaments of different varieties all over it. Some were full-colored while others had a design to them or a pattern. There were also dried fruits or foods of some kind hanging as well, much to Eri's confusion. On top of the tree was a golden star that shined brightly in the sun. Eri could only imagine how it would glow at night. At the bottom were wrapped up gifts of different sizes. Eri was curious if those presents were just props or if they had something in them.

"Blue," Eri spoke, "Do you think the gifts have something inside them?" Eri asked with no answer coming from him. "Blue?" Eri turned to see where Blue was. For a moment, Blue wasn't present but then he suddenly appeared with two cups in each hand and a bag wrapped between his tail.

"Sorry for leaving," Blue handed Eri the cup, "I got you something to help keep you warm. It's hot though so be careful."

Eri took the cup and instantly felt the hot beverage warming up her hands. Eri looked to the lid of the cup and noticed a small gap on the lid. Eri lifted the cup to her mouth and took a careful sip from it. Eri pulled back when she felt the hot liquid touch her tongue and nearly sear her mouth.

"Ow!" Eri inhaled the cold air to help cool off her tongue.

"I told you it was hot," Blue signed and took a sip of his own.

Several deep inhales later and Eri was looking at her drink. Though it burned her tongue, the drink tasted familiar in some way. "The taste….it feels familiar…"

"It's hot chocolate," Blue said, "Chocolate mixed with hot milk boiled or brewed."

"Oh," Eri looked at the bag, "What's in the bag?"

Blue smiled and placed his drink on the floor. Blue opened up the bag and took out a large chocolate chip cookie, "A cookie for us." Blue split the cookie in half and gave the other half to Eri.

Eri eagerly took the cookie and took a bite of the soft and warm treat. Eri let out a pleased sigh as the cookie tasted so good but not as good as Sato's.

Blue and Eri stayed on the roof and enjoyed the treats Blue had brought for them whilst watching the populace below interact with the tree. Eri kept a close eye on the empty sleigh to see if this 'Santa' person would show up, but never saw him coming.

"Blue," Eri asked, taking another sip from her now warm beverage, "You said Santa Claus gives gifts to good boys and girls, but how does he do it?"

Blue was amused by this question because he knew how Eri would react to his answer, "He rides a sleigh around the world with a large bag filled with presents. The sleigh is pulled by several reindeer that are led by Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. All reindeers have quirks that allow them to fly and pull that heavy sleigh around to help Santa deliver all the gifts during the night on Christmas Eve."

To say Eri was shocked was an understatement. Santa flies around the world in one night to deliver presents to every child?! Eri doesn't know how many children are on Earth but she knows it's a very, very large number. And the reindeer, how did Santa find them?! So many questions are filling Eri's head, but before she could ask more, Blue grabbed her by the hand again and they teleported once more.

Eri and Blue teleported inside of an alleyway as Blue quickly led her out and into the public. Eri looked around and realized where they were. They were nearby a local orphanage. Eri watched as several kids from the orphanage were playing around in the snow with some workers of the orphanage watching them. The kids were making snow angels, tossing snowballs at each other, building snowmen, and much more. The children stopped when two trucks carrying cargo trailers arrived.

Several adults exited the trucks and invited the kids to see what was inside the trucks. The children did so and blew up in joy when they realized that the trucks were filled with toys, food, clothes, and other essentials. Though it was not Christmas yet that didn't mean donations were not being taken.

"If there is one misconception about Christmas that many people get wrong it's the concept of gifts," Blue spoke as he watched the scene unfold, "One of the themes of Christmas is to give. Everyone likes to get things and sometimes people take that too far. They expect gifts and demand great ones too. If they are not satisfied, they throw a tantrum whether it be external or internal. But those people forget that the purpose of presents is to give and not to be given. These fine men and women who brought these children many things understand that."

Blue turned his attention to Eri as she turned to him, "I showed you but a brief taste of what Christmas is, but take this example of charity to heart. What you saw is a pure example of Christmas presents. It's about giving and not getting. These people had the option to not do this, to not provide the orphans with something that'll make their hearts swell with joy, but they did. Remember this moment and remember the lesson it taught you."

Eri nodded her head with a smile, "I will."

"Sorry to cut this little trip short, but we're running out of time. The others will exit school soon and if I am caught taking you out, Laura will have my head," Blue laughed nervously as Eri giggled in response.

"I understand," Eri got closer to Blue and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, "Thank you."

Blue slightly blushed from the kiss and took Eri's hand once more. Blue and Eri teleported back to U.A and inside the dorm. Eri and Blue quickly went upstairs to their respective dorms and switched back into regular clothes. As the two were coming downstairs, the front door had opened with Mina shouting.

"YES! FINALLY!" Mina exclaimed, "I HAVE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME FOR CHRISTMAS BREAK TO START!"

"Shut up!" Bakugo shouted at her, "You're too damn loud!"

"Says the one who is loud all the time," Peter joked as Bakugo got in his face and the two began to aggressively converse with one another.

X-23 couldn't give less of a damn about the two as she headed towards the stairs and saw Eri standing in front of them with a bright smile.

"Laura!" Eri quickly hugged her as X-23 knelt down and stroked Eri's hair.

"Hey, Eri," X-23 smiled lightly, "You doing okay?"

"Yup!" Eri looked over to Blue who was now talking with his brothers, "It was a fun day."

Yeah, this chapter was shorter than I wanted it to be because I did run out of time for this. This week is finals week, and I have to produce an entire radio show for one of my finals that is due Thursday.

Since I am not happy with how short this chapter is, please enjoy this musical part with Eri. Enjoy!

Eri pondered to herself as she was flying in her dreams. The woman told her that before she can learn about Christmas in the outside world, the world in her mind must be purified to experience the true joys and pleasure of the holiday. It wouldn't hurt either that Eri would see several things done during Christmas along the way either.

Eri has seen many things during her time with the Yakuza. She's seen people be mutilated, heads flying off, limbs torn, people exploding, being crushed, etc. She's seen a lot so whatever violence she sees in person doesn't affect her mind. And for the last few months that's all Eri could see. Just violence. Eri's past has sprung up in her mind and dreams no matter how many times she pushes them down.

If what the woman is saying is true, that in order for Eri to fully understand what Christmas is all about, then maybe this 'purification process' will stop the nightmares before Christmas?

Eri landed in the snow face first and grunted in annoyance. How rude of the lady to that to her. Eri pushed her arms into the soft white substance before she realized how cold it was. With a small shriek, Eri scrambled onto her feet and was awestruck at the view in front of her. Surrounded by snowy mountains far and wide in a variety of sizes was a small town. It was covered in snow but was lit up with so much color. Not was much as she saw back at I-Island, but this was different. I-Island's color made Eri excited, this color made her feel….warm and fuzzy inside. Also… happy.

Eri focused on several things down at the town. There was a green and red train pulling several carts that appeared from a tunnel. It was puffing out smoke with a loud whistle every few seconds before disappearing into another tunnel. In the middle of the town stood a large green tree covered in decoration and bright colorful lights. There were penguins and people dancing around the tree cheerfully.

Too focused on what was in front of her, Eri lost her balance and slid down the slope she was on before crashing deep into a pile of snow. Eri emerged from the snow with a look of curiosity as a snowflake landed in her hands and began to sing words that weren't hers but summarized what she was feeling.

"What's this? What's this?

There's color everywhere

What's this?

There's white things in the air

What's this?"

Eri crashed into a snowman and examined the rocky smile and eyes it had. In the middle was a carrot, the nose of the snowman Eri supposed. Perched on its head was a green top hat. Two sticks were pointing out of its body to resemble arms, one of which was holding onto an umbrella.

"I can't believe my eyes

I must be dreaming

Wake up, Eri, this isn't fair

What's this?"

Eri quickled jumped into the snowman to hide herself as small people began to pass by singing inaudible music on a moving sled. They were dressed in green with pointy shoes and had hats with very long tips and an orb where the point would be.

"What's this? What's this?

There's something very wrong

What's this?

There are people singing songs

What's this?"

Eri was even more confused as more of these small people passed by riding what was a wooden polar bear running on a wind up.

"The streets are lined with

Little creatures laughing

Everybody seems so happy

Have I possibly gone daffy?

What is this?"

Eri's body jumped from the snowman, breaking it apart.

"What's this?"

Eri landed on a light pole with an umbrella in hand and watched as people somehow even smaller were throwing snowballs at each other. A large fort was built with only one person using it to cover themself.

"There are children throwing snowballs

Instead of throwing heads

They're busy building toys

And absolutely no one's dead"

Eri carefully climbed down from the light pole and used the umbrella to pull down several lights that were attached to a large green wire. Eri took a closer look at the lights then released it when she nearly blinded herself.

"There's frost on every window

Oh, I can't believe my eyes

And in my bones I feel the warmth

That's coming from inside…"

Eri slid against a wall with her eyes closed, the blinding light still penetrating her eyesight. Eri slowly opened her eyes and looked into a window to see two people dressed in red and green hanging a mistletoe, the red kissing the green one right after it was hanged. Just barely visible through the window in another room, an old lady was sitting on a large green single sofa with a book in hand and two children flanking her on each side.

"Oh, look

What's this?

They're hanging mistletoe, they kiss

Why that looks so unique, inspired

They're gathering around to hear a story

Roasting chestnuts on a fire

What's this?"

Eri moved along the outside of the house, remaining unnoticed, and looked through another window. The people were spinning a tree as another person was holding a box of wired lights. The lights hung themselves on the tree until the box was empty. Then a child dressed in green plugged in a wire as all the lights lit up.

"What's this?

In here they've got a little tree, how queer

And who would ever think

And why?

They're covering it with tiny little things

They've got electric lights on strings

And there's a smile on everyone"

Eri jumped onto the top of the house, whilst remembering she is still dreaming, and silently moved along the roof.

"So, now, correct me if I'm wrong

This looks like fun

This looks like fun

Oh, could it be I got my wish?"

Eri rested against the edge of the roof. It all looks like so much fun. She is really enjoying herself! Yet, there was more to see!

"What's this?

Eri looked below her. A window was opened. Eri crawled through it quietly to not wake up the sleeping children in their comfy white beds. Eri inspected under the beds and continued to sing with her voiced hushed.

"Oh my, what now?

The children are asleep

But look, there's nothing underneath

No ghouls, no witches here to scream and scare them

Or ensnare them, only little cozy things

Secure inside their dreamland"

Eri had moved to a large bed in the corner that had five children sleeping together. Eri got very close to the one on the right and watched them sleep soundly. Eri let out a fake yawn. How could she be sleepy in a dream? Er couldn't answer her question because she found something else!

"What's this?"

Eri dashed out of the room hearing one of the children suddenly wake up. In the nick of time, Eri jumped through the window, body once again flying in the air and stopping in front of a factory. Eri saw shadows on the window as they mimicked what the people inside were doing.

"The monsters are all missing

And the nightmares can't be found

And in their place there seems to be

Good feeling all around

Instead of screams, I swear

I can hear music in the air

The smell of cakes and pies

Are absolutely everywhere…"

Eri free fell for a moment and landed on a horse on a merry-go-round. Eri got off the horse and rode the ride for a moment continuing to sing without missing a beat.

"The sights, the sounds

They're everywhere and all around

I've never felt so good before"

Eri flew one more time and landed on the train from earlier as it came back through a tunnel. The puff of smoke got in her face, but instead of breathing out something toxicating, it smelled sweet and a bit like peppermint.

"This empty place inside of me is filling up

I simply cannot get enough

I want it, oh, I want it

Oh, I want it for my own"

Eri jumped off the train before it went through a tunnel and landed a piece of flat wood. She used it as a sled to ride down the slope using the weight of her body to guide the sled.

"I've got to know

I've got to know

What is this place that I have found?

What is this?"

Eri jumped off the sled and looked up. Above her was a sign that simply said, 'Christmas' on it.

"Is this… Christmas?" Eri asked herself as the dream began to fade away. Eri knew she was waking up now, but before the dream ended, she heard a big, jolly, and comforting laugh. The last thing Eri saw was a large man with a white beard dressed in red.

The mysterious woman signed happily as Eri was now awake in her little bed, "Her mind is clear now. Though the nightmares will come back, at least for now, she can truly enjoy the holidays with her family."
