After he'd spent the night with her, Thomas and Lady have been the closest that they had ever been. The teens have begun to walk home together, with their hands grasped on one another, as well as been going on many dates at a café that they both had a great liking to. On one particular day however, as Thomas awoke from his bed on one weekend morning, he found a certain girl calling him on his cell phone.

"Hey!" He greeted. "Morning, Lady."

"Morning, Thomas." Lady replied back in a loving manner. "Dad and I are going to his railway workshop nearby the Kirk Ronan Branchline. Do you want to come?"

Thomas gave a smile as he took in Lady's offer. He had heard a great deal on Burnett's workshop, as well as the engine of Lady's that was stored within it. The E2 driver felt very curious, for he wanted to know what Lady's engine looked like, as well as what class it was.

"Of course!" He replied excitedly. "And if it's all right with him, I could bring you both there with my E2."

"Well, I'm here right now." Replied a certain voice. "So of course it would be more than alright for you to give us a ride there."

"Good to hear." Chuckled Thomas. "Whelp, I better get ready. I'll see you both in a bit."

"Right!" The Stones replied, as Thomas then ended the call and dashed off to get ready for the day. Once he put on his casual clothing, Thomas met up with Burnett and Lady just outside his family's home. Since Thomas received a day off, his plans on going with Burnett and Lady did not conflict with his weekend job. As Thomas then sat down in Burnett's Lorry, neither one of them noticed a certain pair of lackeys watching them from the distance.

"Oh yeah. Just as the boss said, Dodge." Spatter said to his brother. "Burnett, and Petra are making their way to that engine of theirs."

"Heh-heh!" Dodge chuckled. "Time for stage two: Telling the boss that they just left."

"Yup! And Boy will he be pleased! He! He!"

As the two Lackeys then continued to precede with their bosses plan, Burnett's lorry was making it's way towards Knapford sheds, where Thomas's E2 would be. When they arrived, Burnett helped Thomas make his engine's fire, and once a nice lot of steam was made, they sat off. As Thomas's E2 puffed down the line, Lady put what she had learned to use, as Thomas shoveled in the coal. Burnett watched on with an impressed smile across his face. However, as they arrived on to the Kirk Ronan Branch, and over the Big Dipper, they did not see PT Boomer sitting in the ravine below, ready and waiting with the explosives. As he watched Thomas's E2 cross the Viaduct, he began to grumble to Diesel 10 through his cell phone.

"Why can't I just blow them up now?!"

"Because..." Diesel 10 began. "I want to make the money you could get big! If you can get a lot for just one scraped engine, why not two?"

"Fair point." Boomer Sighed. "But still! I want to do this now!"

"Wait, until I make them run!" Diesel 10 snapped as he then hung up on his new ally. "If that puny excuse of a kid thinks that he can roam around in his engine with MY girl!" He thought. "Then, he making a mistake. A deadly mistake."

As Diesel 10 then began to laugh manically, the claw on his class 42 warship snapped a few times. Trouble was ready to brew. Meanwhile, Thomas and the stones had made to Burnett's workshop and were ready to do some final repairs on Lady's engine. As Thomas then turned his E2 round on the turntable, quickly ran over to where Lady and her father were waiting, which of course was overby the shed doors.

"Are you ready to see it?" Burnett asked the teen with a smile.

"You bet I am." Thomas replied.

As Burnett then opened the doors, Thomas's jaw dropped in amazement. Though he thought of it on a few occasions, WHY Lady asked him to teach her on driving an engine was very obvious now. Inside the workshop's shed, stood a small yet elegant looking magenta 0-4-0 tank engine. The engine also had gold trim and lining amongst it's magenta paintwork, and its smokebox painted gold. The engine was indeed a marvelous sight, one that left Thomas in utter amazement as he then began to assist Burnett with it's final repairs, unaware of the plans that Diesel 10 had for them.
