(I'm looking through my idea book when I see Hiro dressed as Ebony Maw)

Me: Hey Hiro. Nice costume.

Hiro: Thanks. Rarity redesigned my old wizard costume and well, this is the result.

Me: Whoa. It's October already?

Hiro: Yep. And you know what that means.

Me: Halloween season!

Hiro: Exactly! Of course, due to the pandemic, we'll have to limit our time outside and play it safe.

Me: Yeah, which is why we're going to have to come up with a plan for the time being, at least when the big night comes.

Hiro: I'll see if Rarity has any more costume ideas for the others.

(Hiro leaves me to my work)

Heroes Unite!

Chapter 31: The Ultimate Alliance, Part 2

Before they could start their search for Count Dooku in Stark Tower, they were intercepted by Shao Kahn, whose daughter Mileena became a member of the Scarlet Army. Shao Kahn swung his hammer at Black Panther, but Thor blocked it with Mjolnir.

"Filthy cur! Have you no honor?" Thor pushed Shao Kahn back and dealt a strong kick to his midsection.

"Honor is for the weak and helpless! Power is what keeps you on top!"

"Then it's a good thing we've got plenty to spare." Iron Man quipped before firing a blast from his Repulsor, which Shao Kahn blocked with his energy shield.

Sonic dealt a Homing Attack to the corrupt emperor and blocked his hammer swing with a spin kick. Hawkeye, Spider-Man and Tails gave the heroes cover fire. Though Shao Kahn is powerful, they were able to defeat him.

"It's over, Shao Kahn." Steve Rogers told the former emperor of Outworld.

"You may have won this fight, but you have already lost the war." Shao Kahn declared before he left through a portal.

"What does he mean by that?" Pegasus asked.

"He's just trying to intimidate you. We should get going." Logan assured.

"J.A.R.V.I.S., can you pinpoint the location of any of the Infinity Stones?" Iron Man asked his building's UI.

"Done, sir. I scanned the building and it appears that all six Stones are in the vicinity." JARVIS reported.

"Wait, all six Infinity Stones are here!?" Natasha asked in total surprise.

"Dooku must already have them and the Gauntlet." Obi-Wan deduced.

"Well, even if he does have all six Stones, he won't be able to use them." Scarlett chimed in.

"Why do you say that?" Barton asked.

"There is a failsafe involved with these Infinity Stones," Scarlett said, stepping up. "I've heard tale about them back home too."

"You know about the Infinity Stones?" Stark asked the warrior queen.

"Well... yes and no," Scarlett said. "I've never encountered them in my existence, but when I was training with the Protectors, they told me tale of them. Power, Space, Reality, Soul, Mind, and Time. Each universe has its own set of Infinity Stones scattered throughout. However, as a failsafe, they're only meant to work in the universe they come from. Outside of their own universe, they're worthless."

"So even if by any chance Dooku does bring them to this 'Lord Vortech', they'll be useless outside of this universe?" Falco asked her.

"Exactly." Scarlett confirmed. "And J.A.R.V.I.S. did say the Stones are somewhere within the building."

"That means if we find the Stones…" Shadow deduced.

"We find Dooku and the Black Order." Anakin confirmed.

"Yes, but the Black Order is as dangerous together as they are separated." Iron Man spoke up. "Which is why I called upon some backup. They'll be here soon."

"Alright, let's get moving!" Captain America leads them through the halls of Avengers Tower. They fought many different enemies along the way. Battle Droids, Locust troopers, Outriders, and the like. They eventually reach the roof of the tower, where they find Count Dooku and the Black Order, staring at the setting sun, the Infinity Gauntlet and the six Infinity Stones in Dooku's hands.

"Is it too late to be asking you to put that thing down and surrender peacefully?" Captain America asked Dooku.

"I've gone above and beyond to give you heroes a warm welcome and this is how you repay me?" Dooku asked. "A pity."

"Shut it! What kind of warm welcome involves a battalion of Battle Droids?!" Anakin glared.

"You may not be akumatized, but I know a villain when I see one." Queen Bee noted. "And I should know; I've been one three different times!"

"A child brands me a villain?" Dooku chuckled. He puts on the Infinity Gauntlet. "Well, perhaps I'll show you how much of a villain I am!" He unsheathes his red-bladed lightsaber.

"You guys take the Black Order. We'll handle Dooku." Obi-Wan commanded. The fight between the heroes of the dimensions versus Dooku and the Black Order has begun.

Captain America, Iron Man, Master Chief and Arbiter are facing Corvus Glaive. Rogers blocks Glaive's halberd right before Stark and Arbiter fire their weapons at Corvus.

"Do you believe such primitive weapons can harm me?" Corvus challenged.

"Doesn't hurt to try." Stark smirked within his helmet. Corvus charged at them, weapon in hand.

Shadow, Krystal, Ladybug, and Queen Bee are fighting Supergiant. Shadow fires a Chaos Spear, but Supergiant dodges. Ladybug and Queen Bee use this to strike her from both sides.

"No matter how much you fight, you will never defeat us!" Supergiant declared.

"Wouldn't be the first time someone said that." Krystal said.

Wolverine, Hulk, Black Panther and Knuckles take on Cull Obsidian. Cull swings his dual-blade axe, but Wolverine blocks it with his blades and Knuckles takes this to deal a powerful punch to Cull's stomach. The force of the punch was enough to send the muscle of the Black Order back.

"If this is all you have, your defeat is imminent." Cull Obsidian snarled.

"Then I guess we better kick it up a notch, wouldn't you agree, Hulk?" Knuckles asked.

"Hulk ready to smash!" Hulk agreed. They resume fighting.

Thor, Sonic, Rena Rouge and Hawkeye are fighting Ebony Maw. Hawkeye fires some arrows, but Maw teleports out of the way and behind Sonic.

"Sonic! Behind you!" Rena Rouge warned the hedgehog. Maw struck Sonic, but the blue hedgehog ducked and dealt an uppercut to Maw.

"Even you should know that you are no match for us, even before we obtained the Stones." Maw glared.

"We beat you and your Black Order pals once before. With our new friends, we'll do it again." Hawkeye smirked as he fired another arrow.

Sofia, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, and Scarlett are fighting Proxima. Black Widow and Scarlett use their martial arts to attack Proxima, but she uses her spear to block the attacks. Sofia uses a Fira Spell to deal significant damage to Proxima. Carol Danvers fires a power blast at her.

"You seem to be more powerful than I originally anticipated." Proxima told them.

"That's what happens when you work together." Carol said to Proxima.

"But even your powers combined aren't enough to best the Black Order!" Proxima declared as she charged her spear and attacked Black Widow.

Anakin and Obi-Wan are left fighting Dooku. Their lightsabers clashed, sending sparks across the battlefield.

"I see you have improved since last we fought, Skywalker." Dooku smirked.

"Traveling across dimensions can do that to you." Anakin said.

"But even your experience pales in comparison to mine!" Dooku attacks with his red Force Lightning, amplified by the Power Stone.

"Elemental Keystone: Lightning!" Anakin shouts as he shoots lightning with the power of the Keystone. Their power push each other back.

"Not even the Keystones can help you against the Dark Side of the Force." Dooku declared.

"Who said the Keystones were all we need?" Obi-Wan smirked. Anakin revealed the Infinity Gauntlet in his hand. Dooku gasped when he saw that the Gauntlet was missing.

"You didn't!"

"Oh, I did." Anakin smirked as he used the Force to send Dooku into the Black Order. The impact was enough to send them into a conveniently opened rift.

"You need to be careful, Anakin. The Infinity Stones are not toys." Fox warned him.

"I'm well aware of that." Anakin countered.

"Uh, guys? Our ride back's about to depart!" Sofia warned them, pointing to the closing rift. A ship descends, piloted by Rocket Raccoon of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

"Need a lift?" Rocket offered them a ride.

As much as they wouldn't trust a talking raccoon that can fly a starship, their timing couldn't be any better. They boarded the ship and flew through the rift.

On the other side, X-PO waited for the heroes to arrive, only for a ship to fly out. Once the ship lands, everyone departs, including the Guardians of the Galaxy: Star-Lord, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, Rocket, and the walking tree Groot.

"Did you get the Foundation Element?" X-PO asked. Anakin revealed the Gauntlet. X-PO takes it and the Infinity Stones. "Ah, yes. The Infinity Gauntlet, where the six Infinity Stones rest. I wonder if the Time Stone can reveal my future."

"Hey, X-PO, less daydreaming, more Foundation Element-collecting. Where to next?" Shadow said as he walked out of view.

"Brooding much?" Falco asked.

"That's Shadow for you. I worry about him sometimes." Sonic commented.

Scarlett explains to the Guardians and Avengers the situation they're in. "So, let me see if I have this right: some interdimensional despot called "Lord Vortech" intends to collect all these Foundation Elements so that he can take over all our worlds and you are gathering them to prevent him from doing so?" Tony Stark asked.

"That's pretty much what we're doing right now." Scarlett confirmed.

"If this Vortech is as dangerous as Thanos, no world is safe from his wrath." Black Panther spoke.

"On that, we agree." Judy chimed in as she walked up to Captain America. "If we're going to stop Vortech and save all our worlds, we're going to need all the help we can get." She extends her paw. Captain America accepts Judy's offer and shakes her paw.

"The Alliance welcomes you and your friends." Steve Rogers smiles.

Me: And finished.

(I check the time on my desk clock. It is past 11:20 PM. I let out a big yawn.)

Me: Man. I've been really worn out. I better get to sleep.

(As soon as I leave my office, I see Daisy with a fairy costume in her hands.)

Daisy: Long day, huh?

Me: Yeah. Some things are hard to keep up with. And even harder to manage it because of the pandemic.

Daisy: No kidding. Kenobi had to teach a class via holo-com, Leo's online order is running late, and now this? I don't know how much longer this pandemic will last.

Me: Have faith, Daisy. They'll find a cure in time. For now, we must keep ourselves safe. And that, good readers, is something I encourage you to do. Bye for now.
