[AN: this is the wedding chapter, sadly.Good luck.]

I'm short of breath

Standing next to you

I'm out of my depth

At this altitude

Like the world makes sense

From your window seat

You are beautiful

Like I've never seen

- Sleeping At Last ~ Heart

Everything was perfect.

The guests were downstairs, in Esme's private Garden, and so was Edward. Isabella sat in front of Alice, who was twisting her uncooperative hair into a delicate curled masterpiece, in her bedroom, upstairs.

"You are such a beautiful Bride." Alice smiled. "Though your insistence on keeping the dress hidden is ridiculous."

Bella grinned. "You're just angry you couldn't cheat to see it."

Alice rolled her eyes. Because Bella was right.

Her hair was piled into curls, ending at the bottom of her neck, curled and folded up, hidden in the rest of her hair, a Victorian trick for shortening hair without cutting it.

Light mascara was used to darken and lengthen the lashes over her eyes, which were now golden.

She could hear the thick thudding heartbeats of the humans below, the ones that shouldn't be there.

Bella thought back to the day that she and Esme were looking over bridesmaids gowns, and none other than Chief Charlie Swan showed up. Looking for Carlisle, meaning to ask his opinion on a case, but instead finding them giggling over wedding planning.

How shocked he was when he found out that she was marrying the youngest of the Cullens- little did he know that Edward was the third oldest in their coven- and was almost disapproving.

"I understand you kids are in love- but 17? That's a little young isn't it?"

Bella couldn't help but smile. "Oh Mr. Swan, but will I ever be so young and in love again?"

That softened him up, but when he asked if he could attend, along with his wife and daughter- it was too tricky to work around.

After all, what reason could they give for why the chief was unwanted?

So the three were in attendance at the wedding, surrounded by vampires, most of them not conforming to the more tactful of lifestyles.

After Alice was satisfied with Bella's hair, she was shoo'ed down the stair, leaving Bella all alone to retrieve her dress.

She carefully slipped the dress over her lingerie-clad body, mindful of her hair. Once the lace touched her ankles she reached for her Juliet-cap veil. It was newer, but the lace was hand-stitched, and the colour was soft and warm. Pearls we're stitched into the lace in places, a detail that Bella was enamoured with.

It was a long veil, slipping down to the small of her back, beautiful.

She had a Bouquet of pink, blue, and purple wildflowers, baby's breath accenting them.

The air was scented with the soft flowers, beautiful. Perfect.

She double, and triple checked that she was ready, headed downstairs, then outside, stopping just before the trail to where everyone was waiting for her, where Edward was waiting for her. She tapped her right foot twice.

Rosalie took the signal, and the Wagner March took the air.

Bella stepped meaningfully down the trail, turning the last corner to where she was visible to everyone. In a move that would have humiliated her in her human life, everyone in the audience stood, turning to look at her.

But at this moment, all Bella could see was Edward. So happy, so in love. All for her. He loved her, she could feel the truth of it in her bones, and it made her want to run to him.

His grin stretched so far it nearly took his whole face. His eyes glowing with tears that would never fall. His legs trembling, as he fought the urge to run to her, scoop her up and kiss her senseless raged through him.

He had never seen an angel in the flesh, but he imagined that they would look something like Bella did then. Dipped in lace, and light, and love. Venus in lace and pearls. Perfect.

The ceremony passed with little issue.

Edward had asked for traditional Catholic Vows. Isabella had no trouble granting him this, though she had no real connection to god herself.

"I, Edward Anthony Mason Cullen, take you, Isabella Marie Swan, to be my wife. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honour you all the days of my life."

"I, Isabella Marie Swan, take you, Edward Anthony Mason Cullen, to be my husband. I promise to be faithful to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love you and to honour you all the days of my life."

Edward's hands shook, as he took the ring from Jasper's outstretched hands.

He took Bella's left hand, looking into her eyes, fighting to keep his tears from falling. "R-Receive this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

Bella's eyes closed as the ring slid into place. They flashed open, and she kissed him. To hell with tradition. This man was the love of her life. And now she got to keep him.

She took the ring Alice offered her.

She took Edward's left hand, bringing it to her lips. Then placed the ring on his finger. "Receive this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

Emmett opened his mouth to say "You may now kiss the bride." But they were way ahead of him.

Afterward was the reception.

They had chosen to have it at the house, or- Bella chose, and Alice begged her to reconsider.

She met each of her guests. Garrett shook Edward's hand and gave him a gruff. "Take care of her, or else."

Edward's mouth had twisted in response. Such an unpleasant bastard.

Then was the Egyptians, Amun, Kebi, and One Edward had never met, but Bella was fond of, Ben.

Edward was a touch concerned Bella was friends with so many unmated vampires, but he supposed he had to be fair, after all. He knew the Denali's, but had no romantic affection for them.

Speaking of the Denali's, after the Egyptians made leave, their coven greeted The Bride and Groom. Though- they were one short.

"I'm sorry, Edward. Tanya-"

Edward cut Katrina off. "Couldn't make it. I understand."

He did not want to explain the headache that is Tanya to Bella on their wedding day.

Irena caught on first. "Yes, terribly busy in the North, she tried to get away, but couldn't make it."

Bella was confused. Edward and Irena were lying. She wondered why.

Scott came through next. Hugging Bella tightly, his slim arms slipping right under Edwards own.

Edward's eyebrow lifted as he realized that Scott was a telepath. Though his gift was more akin to Aros than his own, and nowhere near as powerful.

Scott could read the current thoughts of those he was making physical contact with. Not Bella though he could tell.

Scott backed up, grinning down at The Bride. "You know, Isabella, I never would have thought you one to settle down!" Something in Scotts face tickled at Edward's memory, there was something so familiar about him.

"Hello, I don't believe I've had the pleasure, I'm Edward Cullen?"

Scott's eyes flickered to Edward, then back to Bella. Jeeze she really picked the stiffest board out there, huh?

"Yeah, I'm Scott, Scott McCarty."

Edward jumped slightly, taking in his face again. The dark hair, the dimples?"And, Scott, I hope you don't mind me asking- where are you from?"

"Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Born in 1925."

Edward's eyes were wide- he searched the party for Emmett- jerking his chin for him to come over.

Jeeze brother, need me to play bouncer already? Emmett teased mentally, then came to a stop by Edward, all teasing gone. "What's the problem here?" His eyebrow raised as he took in the slim man, early twenties at the oldest.

Edward gestured to the Vampire.

"This is Scott McCarty, born 1925, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee."

Emmett's eyes widened. "Holy hell, uh- you didn't happen to go by Scottie when you were human, did you?"

Scott snorted. "Only one guy ever called me-" he looked at Emmett eyebrows raised. "Holy hell, big brother, is that you?"

Edward and Bella were dancing together. The song was a slow melody. The words were soft and the acoustics were so good it sounded like the singer was floating around the room with them.

She leaned on his shoulder. "So, lots of interesting developments tonight, huh?"

Edward laughed softly, "You could say that, yes." he twirled her out, then back in, as the music swelled, pressing her forehead against his own.

"I mean, finding out about Scott- and then Garrett and Kate."

Edward laughed again. "Yes, I was glad to see him find his mate actually, maybe he'll leave mine alone now."

Bella grinned at him. "You know I never did get you back for accusing me of kissing him."

He swallowed. "Yes, I- I am sorry about that love. I never meant to say something so horrid. So terrible. I mean to even insinuate-"

Bella smiled, placing her fingers over his lip. "Love- stop. What else could you gave thought? He was trying to provoke you. He wanted you to attack him. I can't blame you for rising to his bait, I can't promise I wouldn't have." She kissed him, softly. "I love you. Forever."

Edward took a shaking breath. "Bella. You're the most amazing woman I've ever met. I'm so happy I found you."

Bella smiled, tracing his cheek with one finger, "Silly man, don't you remember? I found you."

[AN: Stick with me here, this part gets a bit weird, but it's an idea I've had for a while. This is Benjamin POV.]

BENPOV

Isabella made a beautiful bride. These golden-eyed vampires would be good for her I think. But the wedding festivities, complete with the happiest couple I had ever seen, made me ache to remember the years alone.

A hundred years longer than the telepath. And yet I had yet to meet my mate. Perhaps I should give up. I had grown so tired of searching, never finding.

I had imagined what she would be like, pictured the creature to be my mate a million times. But I still didn't have a clue.

At that moment, a warm-blooded figure stumbled into my side. I steadied them gently, no need to cause her unnecessary pain, couldn't eat her anyway. No hunting on the Cullens Territory.

"I'm so So-"

"its- quite all-"

Her eyes raised to mine.

The world faded. All I could see was blue. Deep like the ocean. More beautiful than any rare stone.

I gasped, lightly. "oh- Hello."

She smiled a shy little smile. "Hello."

Her voice was music. Her voice was light. Her lips looked softer than the rarest of silks. She was tall as well, nearly my height. The set of her jaw gave me the strongest urge to touch it. To trace her jaw with the palm of my hand.

I realized then that I had been starting for far too long.

"Ah-" I laughed. "I'm terribly sorry, it's not often I meet a woman so beautiful. Never, in fact."

Her face turned a beautiful shade of red, and she stuttered for a moment. "I- well- Thank you."

I grinned, extending my hand. "Benjimin. But please, call me Ben."

She smiled that small, shy smile again, extending her hand. "Angela Swan."

[Okay, so I know that's an odd ship. Tell me what you think. I think it's cute! Also, I'm well aware that in Canon Benjimin is 15. He is 18 in this story because to me 15 I like Benjimin, and the idea of being 15 forever sounds like hell. Do you remember being 15? That forever? That sounds like it sucks major dick.

Please review! You don't have any idea what it means to me.

What are we thinking of the plot so far?

What do you think is going to happen?

Give me your theories.

I love theories.

Tell me if you hate it.

Tell me if you love it.

Just, tell me.

Please.

This sets a new record for my least favourite chapter. I hate the wedding.

And the way I introduced Scott.]
