Harrison left the hotel with every intention to call Olivia and have her explain why she didn't feel that she could tell him. He's always known that Olivia has had pride issues. Meaning something like this happens and she wouldn't tell anyone. Harrison decided against it because he didn't want to ruin the mood of the wedding but he's planning to talk about afterward.

Like always, Olivia was the first to get up. Liv stretched noticing Abby and Sarah still knocked out. Last night was wild even though it was just them and they stayed in. Olivia, Abby, and Sarah always knew how to make good memories.

"Abby..." Liv tapped her "Sarah," she shook her, Sarah was always a heavy sleeper. "Come on we have hair appointments."

Abby stirred opening her eyes slightly "ugh, Liv what time is it?" She groaned.

"It's 9 but we need to get up." Liv demanded shaking Sarah again "Sarah" she hollered.

Sarah bobbed up "oh too fast" she laid back down but still awake.

Abby cackled "Too much champagne."

"Well let's get going, chop-chop." Liv clapped loudly. Snickering at their expense.

Finally, they got up and started the day. Each got dressed and headed out for the day since Abby wasn't getting married until 2 in the afternoon they had a good amount of time to get stuff done.

Abby called Stephen. "Good morning."

"Hello, soon to be wife." Stephen greeted warmly.

"How was last night?" she started.

"chill, Fitz, and Harrison beat us so many times last night." he chuckled rising from the bed. "what about you?"

"Like any other girls night." she laughed. "I'm glad you had fun."

"You too babe, are you getting your hair done?"

"Yeah, we're gonna grab breakfast first. I'll call after my hair appointment...oh and can you wake Fitz up? Liv is trying to call him."

Stephen looked over at huck and Fitz passed out on the floor "yeah, sure thing" he smirked. "Love you."

"Love you too," Abby hung up.

Stephen got up nudging Fitz. "Liv has been calling you" he relayed.

Fitz got up yawning, realizing he slept on the floor. "Thanks, man." Grabbing his phone, he texted her.

Fitz: "Crazy night, made a lot of dough" he sent with a smiley face.

Olivia: "good to hear, how's Harry?"

That was odd considering he stormed out last night; saying he was going to talk to her. Fitz face-timed her.

"Hello, beautiful" he greeted smiling.

Liv looked at his background snickering "Are you on the floor?"

"Yeah, huck and Stephen didn't want me to drive."

she frowned "where's Harry?"

he doesn't hesitate "He left last night, no he wasn't drunk. But he didn't call or come by?"

"No why would he?" Liv asked almost suspicious of what this was leading to?

"Stephen accidentally mentioned Jake and I had a fight and he got to the conclusion that he had something to do with your injury," he said without stuttering.

If liv was a cartoon character; steam would be coming out of her ears. She was livid, not because the guys slipped up and told him what happen. But because he was gonna tell Maya honestly this was the last thing she wanted to hear this early in the morning.

"Liv" in a whisper. "Please, Breathe," he said gently but in a demanding way.

She inhaled and exhaled "I'm not mad at you" she assured. "But I know he's gonna tell my mom and then that one more thing..." her words trailed off. She was so frustrated.

"I know. But I want you to relax, don't get stressed we'll figure it out" he comforted. "Go eat and I'll catch up with you after. okay?"

She sighed because she really wanted to see him. "Actually I'm getting my hair braided after."

"That's fine I'll go home and get dressed around 1 and then I'll meet you at the garden." Fitz waited for her to agree and then he hung.

/

Oliva was sitting at the table not engaged in the conversation, Sarah and Abby quickly picked up on it.

"Are you ok?" Sarah sat her menu down.

Liv snapped from her thoughts "huh.."

"Yeah, Liv you're usually the most talkative."

She sat up "the guys felt the need to tell Harrison about..."She pointed to her boot. "he probably gonna tell my mother and she's gonna." Liv rolled her eyes, trying to find the words. "she's just gonna find a way to blame me and she won't do it directly but it'll somehow be my fault."

"Liv she wouldn't do that," Sarah told her.

"She might be mad that you didn't call but you just have to explain why," Abby said.

"liv it's my wedding day, I don't want you to be stressed. Please eat something and we'll worry about Maya later." She offered.

"Okay," Olivia smiled "thanks guy, sorry I was ruining the mood."

"Liv I wouldn't be getting married if it weren't for you. Of course, I'm gonna make sure you're okay" Abby smiled warmly.

"I love you,"

"Back at ya"

/

It's a couple of hours later. Harrison and his mother are on their way to the gardens. Abby and Stephen liked the idea of getting married outside. The original plan was for all of them to ride together but Liv's hair took a little longer than she expected.

"I just got done. I'm on my home to get dressed." Olivia texted the group chat so Abby wouldn't worry. And she texted Fitz, to meet her at her apartment.

Fitz left the penthouse, which was a lot closer to Liv. It's his favorite part about her moving out of Abby's.

"Liv" he called, taking the key out of the door.

"In here...but don't come in" she shouted back.

"I'll just be...standing here" Fitz made the obvious joke because liv hadn't gone furniture shopping yet. He chuckled to himself.

"Are you ready," Liv called from the bedroom.

"Ready," he said excitedly.

Olivia descended from the bedroom draped in a thigh-high slit, silk, champagne color dress with spaghetti straps. She wore her hair in a half up half down style in braids.

Fitz stood there making her nervous. Talk about being speechless he couldn't choose just one word that would describe how incredible she looked.

"Fitz..." she clapped snapping from his daze.

"You hypnotize me" he finally spoke. With the biggest cat smile "You are a goddess, Omg" was all he could say.

"You like it? Sarah added the slit to distract from my boot." She smiled innocently.

"I can't explain it but I don't ever wanna take my eyes off of you."

"You look handsome" she admired Stephens's taste in jackets. "we'll miss the wedding if you keep staring at me like that" she teased.

Fitz smiled at the remark. He opened the door, "shall we" holding his arm out for her to take.

"have you talked to Harrison?" Liv asks as she's locking the door.

"He's at the gardens with your mother."

"Glad to hear he's answering your calls and not mine" she rolled her eyes.

"I'm sorry, baby"

"Sibling bullshit" liv said shaking her head. "It's whatever I'll deal with him later.

"I have a surprise for you" Fitz smirked.

"I like surprises...but we don't have time" she grabbed his wrist checking the time.

Walking through the lobby of her building, Fitz smiled watching for her reaction.

Liv stopped walking she saw the car before they were even outside.

"Fitz you rented a Porsche?" her checked heated up smiling at him.

Fitz shook his saying no "That's my car I bought it."

She gave a confused look "You bought a car just for today?"

"Yes and no.," Fitz said

She laughed "it's a sexy car"

he shrugged "not with you next to it" he smiled "come on we're gonna be late." he grabbed her hand.

/

"Liv..." Harrison called. He approached her mugging.

Liv stopped turning to him "oh so you're talking to me now?" she said sarcastically.

"Are we family or am I a stranger?" Harrison quipped, rhetorically.

Liv softens her posture "Of course we're family...Harrison-"

He held up his hand cutting her off "then why is it that you didn't tell me. Or is Fitz the only one who can fight in defense of you?"

She frowned "I didn't ask Fitz to fight him. He did that on his own."

"So why didn't you tell me?" Harrison questioned, folding his arms across his chest.

"Because we're family...and I know you. You would have come down here and beat him half to death" she paused exhaling. "I didn't ask Fitz to do what he did but the way he did it, it wouldn't have any effect on his career. Harrison, it was serious but I healed I wouldn't want you in jail for assault. jake isn't worth that." She concluded softly. Waiting for him to respond.

Harrison embraced her palming the back of her head "Thank you, but I'm still upset I didn't get to do it"

They laughed,

"I didn't tell mama" he added.

After talking to Harrison, Oliva went straight to Abby, finding her in her dressing room.

"Are you ready?" Sarah asked while was making adjustments to Abby's dress.

"Yeah?" Abby laughed.

Liv went over to adjust Abby's train. "You look amazing" she smiled at her best friend.

Abby heard the music queue "Okay, yall go, go, go" Abby shooed them towards the door.

Olivia and Sarah went to take their spots awaiting Abby's magnificent entrance.

Fitz wasn't even getting married but watching Olivia walking down that aisle made his heart swell with endless joy.

His eyes glistened as he mouthed "WOW" grinning at her.

Abby and her father came walking down the aisle, she was feeling butterflies in her stomach. Seeing Stephen standing there at the altar. Her eyes welled up but she didn't drop one tear; out of fear of ruining the wedding photos.

Reaching Stephen; she took his hands and the ceremony started.

/

Olivia was sitting with her mother, She had finally got a chance to explain to Harrison so that took a weight off of her shoulders.

"Mama, I'm glad you're here," Liv told her mother.

"Oh, baby, me too. I wish I would see you more often," she said turning back watching Abby and Stephen have their first dance.

"They really are perfect for each other" Maya praised.

"Mama, have you seen Fitz?" Liv asked looking over the crowd.

"He's around here somewhere," said Maya

"I figured that much mom," Liv cut her eyes at her mother.

Liv's eyes roamed the party spotting Fitz at the buffet table with huck "he's eating" liv pointed out.

"Why is Harrison mad at you?" Maya asked sternly.

"He found out something I didn't want him to know but we talked about it," she spoke cryptically.

"What...like the fact that Jake tried to beat you to death," Maya said lowly.

"Mom...i-" What could she say. She stared at her mother, completely speechless.

"Abby told me. What I don't understand is why you didn't come home or ask for help?" There was a pang of hurt brimming with the delivery of that question.

"I didn't tell anyone. I was embarrassed...and when Fitz found out he lost it. I didn't expect Jake to do that." keeping her eyes on the floor.

"I wouldn't have blamed you," she confessed. "I was angry that you married that son of bitch but everything that happened to you during your marriage; wasn't your fault. I am so sorry if I ever made you feel like that."

Maya's word hit Olivia like a truck she was so afraid of her own perception of what her mother thought she never stopped to ask her mother what she felt. now, here it was those 4 words.

Olivia clung to her mother so quickly, "I love you mom" she spoke through tears.

"I love you too."

Fitz walked up feeling like an idiot; for interrupting their moment

"Liv..." he looked rather sheepish standing there, hands in his pockets.

Liv pulled back wiping her tears "yes"

"Sorry, Mrs. Pope" He offered. "Liv will dance with me" he gave her a boyish grin holding out his hand.

Standing up she smiled at her mom; who was shooing her off, playfully.

At last, by Etta James playing.

Fitz led, swaying side to side. "Are you okay?" he whispered.

She rested her head on his chest following his footwork. "Yeah, I just wanna be here with you."

"Liv..."

"Yes," Liv lifted her head meeting his eyes.

He held her tighter "If...if I told you I was in love with you...what would you say?"

Holding their gaze she spoke without hesitation "I would say; I'm in love with you too" She followed his confession, grinning ear to ear "I love you" she sang.

He laughed spinning her around "I love you,"

His lips crashed down onto hers taking her into a deep kiss of wrestling tongues for entrance into each other's mouths.

Abby and Stephen were tired of dancing. Now they were enjoying each other's company.

"Look" Abby nearly teared up watching her best friend in the arms of the man she loved. Abby didn't have to be standing there to understand their actions. she felt a sense of pride and happiness for her own nuptials and for Liv and the new journey of true love she's on.

"That's amazing" Stephen turned his attention back to Abby. Taking her hand "Forever"

"Till death do us part" she finished.

Olivia pulled Fitz off the dance floor and off to the side. "Take me home with you" She smirked.

Not be able to compose himself he went in again kissing her. "I have a gift for the Bride and Groom...and then I'm all yours." he crooned,

She could feel her body ache as he said that; turning her on even more.

Fitz had originally planned to give a toast and present their gift but now all he could think of; was undressing Olivia. So they went over together to say goodnight.

"Hey, love birds" Abby teased.

"We have something for you...although I don't know what it is" Liv looked to Fitz.

Pulling out an envelope from his breast pocket. "congrats guys I'm really happy for you."

"Oh, Fitz you didn't have to" Abby reasoned.

Stephen snatched the envelope. Opening it he snickered "he got me for 300 bucks he better had got us a-" This is unbelievable Stephen thought, his reaction caught Abby's attention.

She snatched the paper from Stephen "Fitz...are you serious?" she asked incredulously. Giving a nervous laugh.

He nodded smiling proudly. "You're an amazing chef and Stephen is an artist what better gift than this" he got them; plane tickets to Paris and paid for their air BnB as a honeymoon gift.

"Sorry about leaving early" Liv told Abby.

Abby pulled her to the side and whispered "You better ride him like a rollercoaster." She joked but also so serious.

Liv laughed at her crassness "I'm not commenting...I love you, Abby, I hope you have an amazing trip."

They weren't even out of the elevator first, before Fitz's shirt and jacket peel from his body, exposing his perfectly chiseled six-pack with the arms to match. Refusing to break the kiss, Fitz leads Olivia to the couch where he flips around sitting as Olivia stands before him slipping out of that beautifully tailored dress. As it falls to the floor, her braids falling covering her breast. Olivia reconnects their lips straddling his lap, flipping her hair back. She can feel the bulge in his pants graze her through her light pink panties. She sits grinding her hips back and forth. Fitz is exploring her body with his hands caressing and appreciating every inch of her perfect body. Fitz breaks the kiss attacking her neck licking and sucking hard enough to leave a mark. Sitting in his lap her panties are soaked he gets up flipping her over onto her back. Fitz slips his fingers in her panties and messages her drenched pussy. Rocking her hips as he stroked her, his fingers thrusting deeper, she jerked, moaning as he flicked her clit. Fitz slid down her body nipping and kissing until he reached her delicious box eating her like it was his last meal. She arched her back, biting her lip moaning. "I want you so bad" he moaned, sucking her clit. He could tell she was almost at her peak when he slipped his fingers in adding to her pleasure. Olivia convulsed under his body. "Ahh fitzzzz" she stretched his name as her orgasm took her over the edge. "Im...com..im...coming" she stuttered barely getting the words out. Fitz smiling, feeling satisfied. Meeting her lips he halted kissing her, allowing her catch her breath but as soon she was breathing slightly normal he gave her a soulful kiss letting her taste the sweetness of her cum as they kissed sloppily. He bounced up going to grab a condom. When he came back she was laying there circling her clit with two fingers. He stopped watching her, "she's a freak," he thought. She smiled, noticing he was watching. "Come here" she moaned breathlessly. Fitz has never taken his pants off faster, he slipped the condom on positioning himself over her. She attacked his lips moaning before he even put anything inside of her. "Ready" he eyed her. She nodded biting her bottom lip. Lining himself up with her, she jolted, feeling his tip at her opening, he slid in, "fuuuck, livvie" he groaned feeling her tight walls reject his thick long member. She tensed from the pressure, kind of embarrassed that just happened. "Are you okay?" he asked looking at her glassy eyes. She nodded "it's big," she said, almost sounding surprised. "Should I stop?" he smirked proudly. "No, I can take it" she was most definitely lying. Never having been with any man his size. She didn't know that for a fact. He kissed her, ultimately relaxing her. "If I'm hurting you tell me to stop," he said quickly, taking his tip, guiding it back inside of her soft warm folds. Her body lifted as he went further in careful not to give her all of him. He thrust gently picking up a comfortable momentum that wouldn't hurt her. "Fitz. Fitz. Fitz. Fitz" she sang, digging her nails into his back with every thrust. Her walls adjusted to his size making her a little more comfortable. Fitz was over the moon he wasn't sure how long he would last, she was tight as fuck. This was new. Olivia was feeling an explosion building between her legs with every thrust she was about to cum; with penetration alone. Just as her second orgasm of the night erupted, she bit down biting Fitz's neck in a fit of pure pleasure. "Ahhhhh" she cried out. He didn't stop stroking and busted in the rubber separating them. Panting, he pulled out of her slowly smiling at the beauty below him. "You are gorgeous when you cum" he gave a sly smile, pulling her to his chest. "I love you," she said snuggling up to him. He covered them with a throw blanket and before he knew it, Olivia was asleep.

Fitz wakes up he can tell by the darkness it's still early hours. Liv is snuggled up to him, snoring. He smiles laying there in aw of the beautiful women laying beside him. Fitz shifts carefully trying not to knock her on the floor, the couch is narrow. Fitz wanted to move to the bedroom because it was nippy and they were sharing a throw blanket.

"Liv..." he whispered seeing if she were awake, when she didn't respond he picked her up. She stirs from the movement gripping his neck for support as she drifted back to sleep.

simultaneously as he laid her in bed his phone rang from the other room. Fitz pulled the comforter over her and went to grab his phone.

"Hello" He answered

"Right now...uh okay I'll be there in an hour."

Fitz took a shower and got dressed. He thought about waking Olivia before he left but decided to let her sleep. Sending a text instead.

Fitz was nervous about this unprecedented board meeting. Arriving at the office bg Gerry met him in the lobby; to explain.

Fitz rounded the corner "Hey, dad what's up?" he asked almost scared of the answer

"Cyrus and I've been keeping up with your endeavors. And we decided it's time for a formal meeting. Before we go in here, son... I just want you to know that your mother and I are proud of you."

"Mom's here?" he was relieved.

Having mary here would lessen the blow if the vote isn't in favor of him.

"Yeah, now let's go, they're waiting for us."

Fitz walked into that room with his stomach in knots

meanwhile

Liv stretched, yawning "Fitz" she got up wrapping the sheet around her body. Her phone buzz on the nightstand.

"I got called away, stay in bed and I'll be home soon"

she smiled at the message.

"hurry back soon" she replied. Liv sat her phone down going to take a shower and wait for him to get home.

/

"We've all had a chance to got through your record," Hollis said in a not so nice tone.

"And..." Fitz snapped

"And now...it's up to the vote." he shot back. "Now yall in favor of reinstating Fitzgerald Grant as Senior partner. We'll go by a show of hands"

Hollis surprised the entire room by being the first to vote in favor of Fitz.

This meeting was looking up after all.

Liv was at the penthouse lounging around in Fitz's robe since she didn't have any comfy clothes.

"How's married life?" Liv asked.

"We're gonna be eating croissants in front of the Eiffel tower in a couple of hours, so it's off to a great start. liv," Abby said in between chewing.

Liv chuckled.

"So last night did you...um," Abby smirked.

"Twice and I'm sore" her cheeks glowed.

"That good?" Abby teased laughing.

"Shut up," Liv said playfully. "Where's Sarah?"

"Passed out in the guest room, I figured you and Fitz would be busy so we brought her here."

"Harry and mom are already on their way back to Brooklyn" she scoffed.

"Yeah, He and Stephen talked so I think they're good now."

"That's good." Liv heard the elevator bell. She beamed "Abby, I'll call you back. And I hope you have a wonderful trip." Liv hung up.

"Hi" Fitz greeted, grinning ear to ear.

"Hi" she observed his mood. "You look happ-" before she got to finish her sentence, he had scooped her up spinning her around.

"I am completely in love with you." he declared.

"So am I... I've known since New York"

Fitz sat down holding her in his lap. "I can go back to work. well...I'm still on probation, so to speak."

"I'm happy that you get to keep your job" she pecked his lips

The next few weeks felt like heaven on earth, for Fitz and Olivia. Each day they fell deeper in love with each other. Although Fitz was back at work and making his father proud there were still hearings and loss of clients because of the incident. So Fitz was still proving himself. On the other hand, work wasn't going so well for jake, Fitz didn't outright blackball him. But other firms were familiar with "The man who attacked a senior partner" It's rare anyone comes back from something like that. Almost every interview he had been to, they asked about it. With the trial coming up jake wasn't too happy, because after his trial he still had to sign the divorce papers which he dreaded. He was hopeful that Olivia would come to her "senses" little did he know; she already had. Who was he kidding? he just wanted her to drop the charges against him. The assault charge wasn't the thorn in his side; it was the domestic violence charge, he could face up to 3 years in prison with fines. It would ruin him and his chances of opening his own firm. Jake recently came up with that after the 5th firm, slammed the door in his face.

Fitz's days were long and Olivia had just about finished turning the guest bedroom into a studio. Somehow they convinced each to split time, in reality, Fitz was at her apartment most of the time. Especially since she started working on projects again and he liked being there.

/

Fitz swiped his hand across liv's side of the bed coming to the realization she was gone. He sat up turning on the lamp,

He squinted, The light was bright "Livvie" He called out. Fitz got up walking into the next room.

Olivia was perched on the stool looking frustrated, J cole's, work out blasting through her headphones. He stood there marveling at her beauty and concentration.

He spoke softly not wanting to startle her "Baby,"

Liv jerked looking back at him "Fitz...what are you doing up?" she glanced at his nude body and back up to his eyes. grabbing the rag on the table she wiped her hands.

"Sorry, I missed you in bed" he moved closer wrapping her in his muscular arms.

She smiled feeling his piece graze her leg, she pulled his lips to hers and kissed him.

You probably hope it never would end
Like, "is it the real thing
Or is it just a one night stand?"
Well then

Played through her headphones. Fitz broke the kiss looking into her eyes.

"Is there something you wanna tell me?" he joked.

She laughed shaking her head softly "even if I only wanted a one night stand... I don't think I could leave." She locked lips with him once more.

"So what are doing up?" he looked over at the half-finished sculptor.

"I'm finally gonna finish this." she proudly pointed to the clay mold. "You inspired me"

"I thought you already named one after me?" he asked giving a boyish grin.

"I did, this one isn't for tomorrow's gallery" she quipped.

"How much longer" He pouted playfully.

"Why?" she smirked knowingly.

He picked her up, gripping her thighs "I wanna give you so more inspiration." He teased her lips, taking her to the bedroom.

/

The sun beamed through the curtains, shining down on them. Fitz was always the first one up, it was a blessing in itself. Sitting, propped up on his elbow he watched her twist and turn trying to escape the bright sun.

It was no use she opened her eyes peeking at him

"ugh," she groaned playfully mushing him in the face.

"Oh you wanna play?" he pushed her toward the edge of the bed laughing.

"Fitz" She screamed pulling him down with her.

Fitz fell perfectly on his hands so he wouldn't crush her. Their laughter filled the room.

"Do you know how much I love you?" he flipped her over so that she was sitting on top of him.

"This much..." she pinched her fingers "or this much?" asked with wide arms.

He stared at her with hearts forming in his eyes "To the moon and the sun...I love you with every fiber in my being"

"I love you the same. Times infinity." Pressing her breast to his chest she kissed him as they laid there.

She perked up, grinning

"Are you coming tonight?"

"Do you even have to ask" he smirked, sliding his hands over her ass grabbing and caressing her

"Oh no you don't I'm still recovering from last night" she moved his hand, Smiling.

"You could just tell me when I'm too deep...but you'd rather bite me like you're the queen of the damned or something" he laughed.

Liv rolled her eyes "It feels good. It's good pain" her eyes flashed and twinkled.

"Come on get up" she rose, holding out her hand for him "You have work and I have to finish and go to the gallery."

He groaned hopping to his feet "We'll finish this later."

She sashayed into the bathroom teasing him "Mhmhmm" Liv shook her head giggling.

Most of Olivia's day was spent at the gallery. She was just happy to finally be back at the gallery. Abby and Fitz were wary of her going back to the same gallery, surprisingly she didn't feel any ill will towards the place. Her main concern was Jake showing up, regardless of the restraining order. He even still called her, she never answered but he called the day before the wedding. although she didn't answer the call she still felt obligated to listen to the voicemail. It was mostly an apology and asking her to come home. For the first time since the incident, she didn't feel afraid of Jake or ashamed of what happened. The gallery was her sanctuary and she wasn't gonna let Jake ruin that. As a plus, Oliva's doctor told her she didn't have to wear the boot anymore.

"How are you feeling...I'm nervous" billy said right before they opened the doors.

Liv flashed a polite smile at the guest flooding the entrance. "Don't be nervous we're back in business" she chuckled, greeting more people.

For her first day back, these pieces were doing well; not that she was surprised.

"Are you the infamous Olivia Pope?" said the strikingly handsome and familiar man standing before her.

Olivia turned around, her eyes darted looking him up and down before quickly realizing who this man was.

"Uh...yes, that's me" She stammered nervously.

Tickled by her reaction he offered his hand "I'm Russell Franklin."

She gripped his hand "I know exactly who you are. What are you doing here?" Releasing his hand. She stood there in awe of this man.

Russell waved his hand gesturing to the art, "I'm here to see you actually. i-"

"Me" she interjected, astounded.

He chuckled. She was completely fangirling and it was amusing "Let me finish. I'm teaching and one of my students looks me dead in the eyes and tells me that Olivia Pope is outshining me." he laughed. "And so I'm here to meet the woman showing me up and making me look bad."

Russell was a some-what famous sculptor, He just started teaching in new york. Canvassing her he can't help notice how beautiful she is when she was nervous.

She laughed "I'm outshining you? thanks," she asked, knowing her talents.

"I have to be honest I didn't have high hopes. It's not every day that you learn there is someone who has the same vision of art as you," he said trying not to come off as rude or condescending.

Olivia stood there eating up all of the compliments in that one statement. Olivia graduated 1st in her class, she was able to capture the attention of Russell Franklin. This was huge.

"I'm glad you're impressed." she smiled.

Fitz was kicking himself for being late, he rushed from his car and inside hoping that Olivia wouldn't be mad.

He spotted Olivia across the room talking to a man, tall, dark, and extremely handsome. Naturally, Fitz would be jealous but that's what Olivia does; she talks to potential buyers and onlookers.

He soundlessly walked over to them, now wanting to interrupt.

"Fitz," she said excitedly.

He gave her a side hug as she introduced the two men.

"Nice to meet you" the both offered, almost simultaneously turning their attention back to Olivia.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, miss Pope. I'm glad I could finally put a face with the artwork" he kissed her hand, smiling as they parted ways.

Fitz watched him without a word. He didn't like anyone kissing up on her but he also knew where they were in their relationship so he wasn't threatened.

"Sorry, I was late." His hands fell to her hips pulling her to him.

She giggled "It's okay, how was work?"

"It's work, I think I'm gonna give Sam the promotion."

Liv stepped back looking over the room, things were starting to die down "That sounds good,"

"Liv?" he watched her zone out the conversation. "are you okay?"

"I just don't think it's a good idea to make sam partner." she blurted out, walking away.

Fitz followed behind trying to get more out of her

"Did you drive here, Fitz" she turned to ask.

"No, I took a Lyft," Fitz answered still trying to figure out why she's rattled.

"Okay, I'll be right back."

She disappeared up the stairs before he got a chance to ask anything else.

Olivia came trotting down the marble stairs. "Let's go home." she grabbed his arm walking him out.

"Livvie, wait" he stopped, "Talk to me" he pleaded.

She sighed dropping her shoulders "I don't think you should pass up charlie for sam. It's not fair" Liv pulled out her keys handing to Fitz.

Fitz took the keys but was baffled by her confession. He opens her door.

Liv turns on the radio and rested her head against the window.

Fitz can always tell when she's in deep thought so he didn't say anything else.

Flashback

Olivia was in the grocery store shopping, it wasn't something she was particularly used to. When she and Jake were married he did the shopping and the same in college Abby did the shopping and cooking. Mainly so she could practice and have Olivia taste test everything. She was picking up some of Fitz's favorites. It was right after she moved in and Fitz finally spent the night and she wanted him to feel welcomed.

"Olivia" she heard the feminine voice call out.

Liv looked seeing Quinn, she had a nervous smile plastered on and she was with Allison. Olivia was fully aware of what Quinn did that day but she didn't blame her. Their friendship was over and Quinn knew why but this was the first time they saw each other in person.

"Hi Quinn" she spoke, not wanting it to go further than that.

"I hope I'm not overstepping. I just saw you and I hadn't heard from you in a while and after Abby kicked charlie and me out of the wedding. I wasn't sure if I could still show my face anymore."

Quinn was one of those middle-aged wives that enjoyed living a white picket fence life, she never considered the fact that Abby and Liv were younger than her. It was just nice to have friends.

"uh...Quinn, I don't know what to say," Liv shrugged, she refused to comfort her and, make her feel like everything was all good. "I don't want to do this Quinn...because I'll end up saying something out of line so I'm just gonna go" liv turned walking away.

"I'm so sorry. Liv I had no idea. I didn't know" Quinn chased after her.

"I don't wanna talk about it." liv protested,

"That's why I'm apologizing."

Olivia stopped walking for the sake of ally.

"I didn't know that you were going through that, I didn't know-"

"It doesn't matter if you knew he was beating me it wasn't your place to find me for him. And that's why we're not friends."

"He told me he wanted to make up I didn't know. But I understand why you don't wanna speak to me anymore"

"Good now respect it and leave me alone" and with that Olivia left.

Present

Olivia snapped from her thoughts, she turned down the music.

"You're passing charlie up because of what Quinn did," she stated.

"Yeah so what, it's the same as what I did to jake." Fitz glanced at her.

"Don't, okay. I talked to her I don't wanna punish her family over that," she added.

He kept watching the road. Olivia was a good person and she never held grudges. Now she wasn't ever gonna speak to Quinn again but charlie didn't have to suffer because of it.

She smiled knowing that he was only looking out for her. But if she let him do this she wouldn't feel right knowing that the firm could suffer if he makes the wrong decision.

Fitz pulled into liv's complex.

Fitz opened the door, Olivia went straight to the bedroom. He dropped his stuff by the door confused about her attitude but he wasn't gonna question her either.

"Olivia," he said before turning the hall walking in, to see Olivia spread out on the bed waiting for him

His glazed expression cleared slightly, and he smiled at her,

"Take off your pants," she said propping herself up on her elbows. "I said we would finish"

Fitz stripped off his clothes, jumping on her and devouring her lips.
