Several Months Earlier...
?:"From the Journal of Sherman Birkin. It's been a matter of months since my team have managed to locate the parasite, and have begun their experiments. These studies and research have shown us that the parasite is very beneficial to wildlife. This could solve a worldwide epidemic of the extinction of all wildlife. It's not cloning, it's not mass production, it's...well, in a word...rebirth. With the parasite, any wild animal can give birth to new children without the need of a mate. We had already tested the parasite on a...blonde wolf. I had saw a problem with the formula, however. The parasite itself is degenerative and can almost be lethal. In the need of a restoring agent, I used the DNA of an orphan who we unfortunately no longer have with us. Nor do we have the wolf, as it had been let out into the wild before I could finish the agent properly. For now, I can only hope that the results...are admirable."
At the moment, Leni was nursing her newborn hybrid child with what little strength she had left to offer. It was just enough for Leni to start feeding her milk, as Luan protected her from Lori, who, at this point, basically gonna all savage on them.
Luan:"Lori, don't do this!"
Lori:"Step aside, Luan! I must do this, for our pack!"
Luan:"She's just a kid! She's not a threat to us!"
Lori:"My purpose is to protect my family!"
Lori continued to pounce as Luan did her best to protect Leni, managing to bit Lori's ear and claw at her face. It was enough to leave a scar across her left eye.
Luan:"This isn't you, Lori! The hunger is making you savage!"
Lori:"This IS me! I am the Alpha of this pack, and I swear that human would live under my watch!"
And with that, Lori continued running straight towards Leni, who couldn't do anything. She was too weak, and she couldn't fight. She could only lay there and hold her child close.
Leni:"Lori, no! Please, stop!"
Lori:"Enough of this madness! If you have to die, Leni, so be it!"
As Lori was merely inches away, Leni closed her eyes and awaited imminent death. But it never came. Instead, she looked to see Luan had holding onto Lori's tail with her death, pulling her back right before she then lifts her and throws her away from Leni. Hitting rough solid ground, Lori struggled to recover as Luan then leaped and pounced on her. They continued to fight, urging to rip each other apart, clawing and biting just about every part of each other. Leni couldn't bare to see, as she just kept nursing her baby as best as she could.
It was then that the fighting stopped and Luan threw Lori away from her. Both wolves were now bloody, furry messes struggling to stand in their feet. But Luan seemed to have more energy left than Lori, who seemed to even be having trouble breathing...
Luan:"You seemed tired, Lori."
Lori:"(panting) ... So do you."
Luan:"Not tired ... Just hurt."
Lori:"Why can't you just let me have it?"
Luan:"I've been following since I was a pump. I never questioned you, as we managed to survive till this day... But that was a different Lori. You changed for the worse, growing savage, wanting to murder a child! ... That's unfitting of an alpha."
Lori:"So what? ... Are you gonna take over?"
Luan:" ... Yeah, I am."
Lori:"What?"
Luan:"This pack is under my protection now."
Lori:"You will drive our young ... towards that abomination?"
Luan:"I don't just want to survive, Lori ... I want to live. Please, stay with us and we'll figure something out."
It was then that Lori began to move away from her younger sister with a mixture of blood, tears and rain in her eyes.
Lori:"...This pact...will be hunted...till the end of it's days."
Luan:"Lori?"
Lori:"Watch your back, Luan?"
And with that, Lori ran off and into the storm, leaving Luan, Leni and her baby all alone. Leni was now fearing the life of her child, who was starting to shiver. Luan then approached her older sibling...
Luan:"Head for the city. Find someplace to sleep for tonight. Guard this little one with your life."
Leni:"What about you?"
Luan:"I'm gonna get the others. We'll meet you by dawn."
Leni:"...Stay safe, Luan."
Luan:"You as well."
And with that, both wolves went in different directions. Leni moved to the city, carrying her child on her back as she the found herself at the edge of the city, underneath a bridge. It's not what she would consider the best place, but it would have to do for now, as she laid down and circled around her baby, who had already fell asleep. After all this time, she haven't began to question why she had a hybrid child. She might not ever find the answers, but for now, she was glad to be safe.
Leni:"I hope everything will be okay...even Lori."
As for the eldest sibling, Lori found herself on top of a hill where the rain had stopped and the moon was now full. She had lost everything. Her title, her pact, her strength...now she feared she was losing her sanity. For the urge to kill the child still coursed through her, making her hungry, maker her savage...would it all be worth it? She didn't even bother answering that question...she was determined to see that every human that she spotted was slaughtered. Such a thought...made her laugh...
