Chapter thirteen: Catching them all
After the last realm had just finished playing on the theater screen, the audience that had been summoned by the Realmcrafter Talespinner69 was talking amongst themselves. The girls of the 1-A and 1-B classes in particular were rather talkative, given that they had just seen another alternative version of themselves.
"Wow, that was an...interesting realm, to say the least," Kyoka remarked in a mildly unsure tone as she and the other girls thought about what they had just seen on the big theater screen.
Over where the villains sat, all of them aside from a notably pissed Shigaraki were talking amongst themselves, with Dabi, Spinner and Toga all receiving props because of the fact that they were depicted killing others in the realm that had just finished playing on the big screen that was in front of them. Stain the Hero Killer even gave Spinner a thumbs up since the lizardman villain was shown in that realm harponing someone in the chest to kill them. Spinner, who idolizes Stain, was doing mental backflips in his mind as he was being praised by the Hero Killer himself.
If it wasn't for the fact that his memory was going to be wiped of all that he learned here, then Stain would have made a mental note to add a harpoon to his arsenal.
As the talking amongst the audience went on, they were all called out to by Kotaro. "Hey everyone! Tale's got the next realm ready to play!" Everyone turned front and center to face the big screen, interested to see what the next realm could be.
...
Izuku stood on the battlefield located just outside of Professor Magnolia's house. Standing on the other end, opposite of the green-eyed trainer, was someone Izuku's age; this boy was fairy skinned, had jet-black hair slicked back, wore a black t-shirt with similarly colored pants and shoes, and he wore a red choker around his neck.
Both boys were clearly set to face off, but it was clear that there was only good-natured competition between them. The mystery boy gave Izuku an amused look. "Are you ready for this, Izuku?"
Izuku gave only a single nod in the affirmative in response. "Whenever you are, Tokoyami."
"That's Tokoyami?" Mina in the audience exclaimed, "Why doesn't his head look like it normally does? What happened here?"
Seeing what was going on, Tale explained, "Ah. This must be a realm where quirks don't exist period." To the audience, the realmcrafter said, "It's not uncommon for those of my kind to craft realms where nobody has quirks given that quirks don't exist in the setting of the realm. My people refer to these kinds of realms as 'quirkless AUs'."
"Realms where quirks don't exist?" Bakugo said, the idea of a realm where he didn't have his quirk leaving him feeling unsure, "That sounds disturbing."
Waiving away the explosive teen's concerns, Kotaro said, "Just sit back and watch what goes on here, young man." Bakugo, as well as everybody else, turned their attention back to the big screen to continue watching the currently playing realm.
Izuku and Tokoyami both took someone off of their respective belts before pressing a button on them to make them grow in size a bit; the items were perfectly spherical balls, the top halves being red and the bottom halves white. Both boys tossed up their respective balls.
"Go, Uraraka!" Izuku called out.
"Let's get going, Tsuyu!" Tokoyami declared.
The tossed balls burst open while they were in the air, with a Lopunny coming out of the ball Izuku tossed up and a Greninja coming out of the ball Tokoyami tossed up. With knowing grins, the two boys began their battle.

"What's a Pokemon?" Uraraka in the audience asked, "And why does that bunny thing that came out of the ball Izuku tossed up have the same name as me?"
"Ah, yes," Tale began, "Pokemon is a franchise that many of my kind enjoy, spanning multiple anime, toys, video games and whatnot. A good number of realms in the setting of the Pokemon series have been crafted by my kind." Putting a hand on his chin, the realmcrafter continued, "That being said, I'm not all that surprised that your setting was melded with the setting of the Pokemon series."
Pointing to the big screen, Mina asked, "Well what about how those creatures Izuku and Tokoyami called out have the same names as Uraraka and Tsuyu respectively?"
Shrugging, Tale remarked, "In the video games, the player can nickname their Pokemon. My guess is that's how the girls in your class and in 1-B are going to be Pokemon." Everyone settled down for the time being and turned their attention back to the big screen.
...
Izuku and Tokoyami were later eating at a newly opened cafe located in Ballonlea, the city in the Galar region where the fairy-type gym is located. As the two trainers talked, they were approached by their old friend Sato, who was the owner and manager of said cafe. Sato seemed to be brimming with pride, but then again it's the opening day of what is basically his dream come true.
"So guys, how are you enjoying yourselves so far?" Sato asked.
Izuku, after swallowing a mouthful of the cake slice he was having with his coffee, replied, "Oh it's all very good, Sato."
"Indeed," Tokoyami remarked in a tone of agreement. Looking over when he heard something, Tokoyami spotted his Greninja Tsuyu, as well as Izuku's Lopunny Uraraka, enjoying the food that they got; it wasn't uncommon for trainers in Galar to treat their Pokemon at cafes.
Gesturing to the Pokemon, Tokoyami said, "They seem to like the sweets as well."
"Aww, that's so cute," Hagakure in the audience remarked as she gestured to the big screen, "It's like people treating their pets!"
"And I have a cafe apparently," Sato added, "I can realistically see myself running such a business if I wasn't going into pro heroics."
"Since quirks don't exist in this realm, it'd be your best bet Lip Boy," Togaru sneered from where he sat in the theater room.
As the boys talked, Sato let out a troubled sigh. "What's wrong, Sato?" Izuku asked, concern clearly in his tone.
Shrugging, Sato explained, "It's just that I'm competing against other cafes here in the Galar region, and they're making it tough for me already. It doesn't exactly help that I don't own any Pokemon whatsoever who can help me."
"Is there anything Izuku and I can do to help?" Tokoyami asked slashed offered.
Perking up a bit, Sato said, "Actually, yeah. You guys can go find our old friend Kirishima for me and get him to come here."
Both Izuku and Tokoyami looked a bit confused for a moment. "...How can Kirishima help you with the cafe?" Izuku asked.
Jerking a thumb over his back to where Ojiro sat in the cafe with his Kecleon, Sato explained, "Ojiro told me that Kirishima has a Pokemon that can very easily make my cafe the most popular in Galar. The last that he heard, Ojiro had it that Kirishima is in Hammerlocke."
"...It's kind of weird to see me without my tail," Ojiro in the audience commented.
Both Izuku and Tokoyami nodded in agreement towards Sato. "No need to worry, Sato," Izuku said, "Tokoyami and I will go find Kirishima for you."
"Exactly," Tokoyami said, "Izuku and I will-" Tokoyami was cut off when some commotion from over where Ojiro was at sounded out. Looking over, the boys saw Ojiro trying to pull his Kecleon away as it had the head of a west sea Gastrodon it its mouth, with Sero trying to pull the Gastrodon away.
"Hagakure, you spit Sero's Gastrodon out right this instant!" Ojiro scolded at his Kecleon as he and Sero tried to pull their Pokemon away from one another.
Sero's Gastrodon, clearly rattled due to how a Kecleon was trying to eat her head for some odd reason, conjured a large blob of sludge inside of the Kecleon's mouth to blast it off. Hagakure the Kecleon flew away, puking sludge as she flew until she smacked back first into a wall.
"Dude, your Gastrodon used Sludge Bomb to blast Hagakure off!" Ojiro snapped at Sero.
"Hey, lay off of Mina!" Sero snapped back, "That Kecleon of yours was trying to eat her head!"
"Why was the Hagakure of this realm trying to eat the head of the me of this realm?" Mina in the audience asked, with Hagakure being more concerned about her alternative self puking sludge as she flew until she smacked into a wall.
Seeing that Sato was now going to have to settle things between Ojiro and Sero, as well as clean up the mess that Mina and Hagakure made, Izuku and Tokoyami both decided that they would get started on tracking down Kirishima for Sato. After recalling their respective Pokemon back to their pokeballs, the two trainers took off.
...
It didn't take Izuku and Tokoyami all that long to get to Hammerlocke, thanks to taking the taxi. As soon as they got out, the two trainers began their search for Kirishima and his Pokemon that can supposedly make Sato's cafe the best in Galar. The boys' search was interrupted when they spotted some familiar faces from their old rival class, with said faces being those of Momoma and Yosetsu.
"And here come the part where my classmates and I begin showing up those louts in class 1-A, I bet!" Monoma in the audience declared confidently. Itsuka could only roll her eyes in response.
"Oh, fancy running into the two of you here," Yosetsu greeted, "What's up?"
As he gestured to himself and Izuku, Tokoyami explained, "We're looking for our old friend Kirishima, and we got it that he was last seen here in Hammerlocke."
Shrugging in indifference, Monoma remarked, "Maybe he'll show up to check out the Kalos region expo that the boys and I are going to be setting up."
"Oh yeah, you and some of your old classmates just got back from the Kalos region," Izuku began as he addressed Monoma, "And I did here about that expo that will be featuring a lot of Pokemon found only in-"
Izuku was cut off when Nirengeki came running up to the boys, a look of rattled worry clear on his face. "Monoma, Yosetsu, we got a huge problem!"
Alarms went off in the heads of many of those in the audience. "...One of this realm's version of the girls is up to something," Aizawa in the audience remarked in a suspicious, knowing tone, his arms folded over his chest.
"What happened?" Monoma asked, right away turning to face Nirengeki.
Gulping nervously, Nirengeki said, "Setsuna got loose." Instantly, Monoma and Yosetsu went wide-eyed with worry and alarm.
This did not escape the notice of Izuku and Tokoyami, with Izuku asking with some trepidation in his tone, "Umm, guys, who's Setsuna?"
"Oh, she's one of the Pokemon that the boys and I got from Kalos for the expo is all," Monoma said, some suspicious nervousness clear in his tone, "There's no need for either of you boys from the old rival class to worry."
Tokoyami's suspicious glare made it clear that he was not going to be so easily brushed away. "...What kind of Pokemon is Set-" Tokoyami was cut off when the wall of a nearby building was destroyed from the inside, before a Tyrantrum came stomping out of the large gaping hole in the building where the wall used to be, roaring skyward as it was now loose in the western side of Hammerlocke.
Meekly embarrassed, Nirengeki pointed to the now loose and rampaging Tyrantrum and said, "...That's Setsuna."
"Dude!" Setsuna in the audience exclaimed in clear amusement, "I'm a fucking dinosaur in this realm! That's fucking awesome!"
Looking at Monoma, Tokoyami snapped, "Seriously?! A fucking Tyrantrum?! How can you and the others from your class let a Pokemon like that loose in the streets of Hammerlocke, much less in any Galar city?!"
"It's not our fault that Setsuna got loose!" Monoma exclaimed.
As the boys that were seeing the rampage looked on in fear, Kirishima came running up to the group. "Hey, I just saw what's going on here. What the hell happened?!"
"Kirishima!" Izuku exclaimed, "Tokoyami and I were actually looking for you! But what we need you for will have to wait!" Turning back to look at Setsuna the rampaging Tyrantrum, the green-haired boy said with a hint of grim worry in his words, "For now, we have to help Monoma and his old classmates deal with their escaped Tyrantrum."
Kirishima looked to where Setsuna was rampaging in the Hammerlocke streets. "...If I recall correctly from our classes back when we were still in school, Tyrantrum is a species of dual rock-dragon type Pokemon." A mildly amused smirk appeared on Kirishima's face as he took a pokeball off of his belt and expanded it. "...Don't worry, boys, I got this one."
Izuku and Tokoyami, as well as Monoma, Yosetsu and Nirengeki, watched as Kirishima tossed up the pokeball to call out the Pokemon that he kept inside. "Come on out, Kinoko!" The pokeball that Kirishima tossed up burst open, and an Alcremie came out; it was a ruby swirl Alcremie with strawberry sweets in its bangs.
"...So the Shrooms of this realm is some manner of creature that Kirishima owns," Bakugo in the audience began, "That appears to be made entirely of frosting." Folding hos arms over his chest, Bakugo said, "...Okay. That's interesting. I hope that something funny occurs when the Grape Head of this realm is axed."
Down where he stood in front of the big screen, Tale said, "There's close to nine-hundred different species of Pokemon by this point. I'll let you guys let your imaginations run wild." Mineta could only sigh in a resigned, defeated tone.
Gesturing to the big screen, Bakugo said, "Well there's things that range from frosting creatures to fucking dinosaurs. What else could there be?"
"Oh, you'd be very surprised," relplied the Realmcrafter.
Pointing at the Tyrantrum, Kirishima said, "Kinoko, we need to get that one's attention! Hit it with Mystical Fire!" Kinoko the Alcremie loosed a swirling blast of fire, striking Setsuna the Tyrantrum in the side of its face. Due to having a high resistance to fire type attacks, Setsuna was hardly phased by Kinoko's attack.
...But it did get her attention, which is what Kirishima wanted, even explaining to the other guys when they questioned him ordering a fire type attack on a rock-dragon type Pokemon that he wanted the Tyrantrum focused on him and his Alcremie in order to minimize the damage as much as could be managed; a focused Pokemon will not be too inclined to cause unnecessary damage when it's focused on its goal.
With a loud roar that was clearly one of being pissed, Setsuna charged right at Kinoko, her right claws glowing brightly with draconic power. "Oh shit, Setsuna is going to strike Kirishima's Pokemon with her Dragon Claw attack!" Yosetsu exclaimed as he and the others saw Setsuna run up to and strike at Kinoko by using Dragon Claw.
...Except that it didn't affect Kinoko.
As the guys watched a mildly bewildered Tyrantrum take a few steps backwards, Kirishima turned to them and explained, "Dragon Claw is a dragon type attack. Kinoko is an Alcremie, which is a species of fairy type Pokemon."
Izuku, a look of realization on his face, tapped a fist into his hand. "Of course! Fairy Pokemon are immune to dragon attacks! That makes Kinoko an excellent counter to Setsuna!"
In the audience, Setsuna let out a bemused hmph as she folded her arms over her chest. "I wouldn't be too sure about that." Where she sat in the audience, Kinoko looked to be mildly embarrassed that she was upsetting one of her classmates in any way.
Pointing directly at Setsuna the Tyrantrum, Kirishima said, "Alright, Kinoko! Now hit it with Dazzling Gleam!" Kinoko the Alcremie conjured a brightly shining mass of light between her hands before releasing a dazzling blast of lights that all flew at and pelted Setsuna the Tyrantrum, causing the prehistoric Pokemon to roar out in pain as she was pushed back, driven down onto one of her knees.
With the rock-dragon type driven down sufficiently, some of Monoma's old classmates proceeded to surround and capture Setsuna to take her back to where the Kalos expo was going to be held. As they were doing that, Monoma, Yosetsu and Nirengeki all turned to face Kirishima, with Yosetsu saying, "Thanks for helping with recapturing Setsuna after she got loose, Kirishima. You're a lifesaver."
Kirishima nodded in acknowledgement to Yosetsu before turning to regard Izuku and Tokoyami. "You guys said that you needed to find me for something, right?" Sighing in relief, the two boys proceeded to tell Kirishima what was going on.
...
Later, a bunch of the boys were having a camp out on the beach near the Tower of Waters, located over on the Isle of Armor. Over where Izuku and Tokoyami were hanging with some of their old classmates, Kirishima served them, as well as their and his respective Pokemon, plates of curry that he had cooked up at the camp. "...Sweet mushroom medley curry?" Tokoyami remarked in a curious tone as he saw the curry that Kirishima served up.
Kirishima gestured to where his Alcremie was gluttonously scarfing down her curry while Tokoyami's Greninja and Izuku's Lopunny watched. "It's Kinoko's favorite."
"I...see..." Tokoyami remarked, a bit bewildered to see an Alcremie eat like that. Gently shaking his head to straighten his thoughts, Tokoyami said, "But more on that later. For now, Izuku and I need you inform you about how our old classmate Sato needs your help with his cafe over in Ballonlea."
"Sato was told by Ojiro that you have a Pokemon that can help," Izuku added, "Hence why you're needed at the cafe."
Kirishima considered what he had just been told, mulling over what the boys said. "...Yeah, Ojiro was probably telling Sato about Kinoko. As an Alcremie, she can conjure this very sweet cream that's popular in baked goods all over Galar."
"...Her species can conjure sweet cream," Bakugo in the audience remarked dryly, "And it's a fairy apparently." The explosive teen gave an unamused huff. "...There better be some much more awesome creatures coming soon."
"So will you help Sato out here, Kirishima?" Izuku asked.
Kirishima nodded a few times in the affirmative. "Oh hells yeah. I have no problem with giving Sato a helping-" Kirishima was cut off when he and the others heard a commotion coming from over a ways; Izuku, Tokoyami, Kirishima and their Pokemon saw Kaminari try to get his Noivern to back away from Mineta. The Noivern was very clearly pissed at Mineta; Izuku was suspecting that it had to do with the spilled curry at Mineta's feet.
"Geez, Kyoka!" Kaminari said to his Noivern, "Mineta apologized for accidentally knocking your curry over!"
In the audience, Kyoka gave off an unsurprised hmph as she crossed her arms over her chest. "Even in an alternate realm, Mineta still somehow manages to find a way to piss of the me of the realm in question."
Kyoka the Noivern screeched angrily at Mineta as she fluttered her wings a bit. Suddenly, Kyoka opened her mouth, took aim at Mineta and fired a Dragon Pulse at him, blasting him at point blank range with enough force to send him flying into the waters before them. The short teen screamed as he flew, eventually falling into the ocean, but still within sight for the other boys. Even Aizawa, who up until then was asleep in a beach chair, woke up at Mineta's scream.
Out in the waters, Mineta was able to straighten himself up and swim in place. "It's okay, guys!" Mineta called back to the guys he could see on the beach, "I can swim!" Suddenly, some water on Mineta's left rippled a bit, before a blue shark-like Pokemon rose up and cried angrily and hungrily at the short teen.
"Oh crap, that's a wild Sharpedo!" Kirishima snapped. Suddenly, a second Sharpedo rose up from the water behind Mineta, followed by a third Sharpedo that was purple rather than blue rose up from the water on Mineta's right, then finally a fourth Sharpedo that's blue like the first two rose up from the water in front of Mineta. Without warning, all four Sharpedo jumped in and began ripping Mineta apart.
"...I'm eaten by sharks this time," Mineta in the audience said in a dry, resigned tone as he gently face-palmed, "That's a new one."
Everyone on the beach were shocked with what they were seeing. Even Aizawa was shocked, given that he exclaimed "Holy shit!" at what he and the boys were seeing.
"I know, Mr. Aizawa," Izuku remarked, "Those wild Sharpedo are ripping Mineta apart!"
"No, Midoriya, that's not what I'm talking about!" Pointing out into the waters where Mineta was being devoured by a pack of wild Sharpedo, Aizawa said, "That third Sharpedo is a shiny!" Pulling out a Net Ball, Aizawa said as he proceeded to run to the water, "I'm catching that shit!"
...
Sometime later, the boys gathered at the beach again, where Aizawa was standing; his left leg from below the knee downwards was replaced with a prosthetic. "Boys, I have bad news and good news," Aizawa began, "The bad news is that I lost my left leg from below the knee down, which as you can see has resulted in me getting this prosthetic leg. Such is the dangers that comes with Sharpedo."
"What's the good news, Mr. Aizawa?" Izuku asked.
At that prompting, Aizawa pulled out a Net Ball, expanded it and tossed it up, calling out a shiny Sharpedo in the process. "I caught the shiny Sharpedo."
"What about Mineta?" Tokoyami asked.
Shrugging, Aizawa replied, "Pfft, what about Mineta?" Suddenly, Aizawa's Sharpedo began coughing and hacking a bit, getting everyone's attention; after a few seconds, it coughed up both the missing part of Aizawa's left leg and Mineta's head, both landing on the sand of the beach they stood on.
The boys were all shocked, some of them even horrified. Gasping in shock, Aizawa said, "Emi!" Bending down to pick up the missing part of his left leg, Aizawa said, "So you're the one who ate my leg! Emi, you naughty girl, you!" For her part, Emi the shiny Sharpedo gave a cry of mild embarrassment.

"Aww, Aizawa named it after me," Emi in the audience said, "That is so sweet of him."
With a mildly unsettled look on his face, Aizawa said, "I'm more concerned about the fact that I was depicted as being so indifferent about the fact that Mineta was killed and eaten by sharks."
Shrugging, Tale remarked, "Yeah, my kind really have a lot of stock invested in catching shiny Pokemon, given how rare they are."

Yeah, this chapter was done for the fact that the Crown Tundra dlc for Sword and Shield are a few days from dropping, at least when this chapter came out. Also, I have my reasons for the Pokemon that were used in this chapter. Anyway, the next chapter will be out soon. Have a great day, everybody.
