Paradise City, Kamiya Apartment
Three weeks have now passed since the end of the Arc-League-Championship and everyone in Paradise City returned to the daily life.
It was 7am in the Kamiya houshold and Morgan was in her room, changing into some sport clothes. She was about to go on her daily morning run together with Lynn who asked yesterday if she could come along. Once she finished changing she looked at her night stand and smiled. There stood was the glass trophy she won along with a picture of her and the others along with Avery, Drake and Lucy. They all were smiling while Morgan and Avery held up the trophy and their medals.
Morgan then heard Lynn calling out to her and chuckled a bit before quickly leaving her room.
Dormitory in the Fusion World
Celina was sitting on her bed inside her room and was looking through her deck. Her best friend Ren sat on the desk chair with his eyes closed and his arms crossed behind his head. "This sucks. I want to be down in the city and not locked up here."
Celina looked up at him. "Me too, but we´re ordered to be on stand by."
"I finally want to fight my brothers. And I feel that Starving Venom is longing for that too." Ren said. Celina was about to answer him as there was a knock on the door and a woman with a lab coat entered the room.
"Looks like your wish might come true sooner then you thought." Celina said with a sigh.
"Ren and Celina, the master awaits you." The woman said and bowed before leaving again. The teens looked at each other before leaving as well.
A few minutes later, both teens and the woman were back in throne room, standing before the throne were their master sat in.
"I´ll get right to the point. We were able to extract the energy from the card and are now working on something that will allow our army to enter the other worlds." The man said and stood up. "We are going for our first attack soon and therefore I need one of you to stay here and help prepare the 1st and second unit while the other one will go back to the Standard World to gather more of the Pendulum energy."
Celina walked forward. "Asking for premission to go, master. I might know a way of how to gather the energy at its full potential."
"Alright Celina, I grant you premission to go. But you will take one of our higher ranked students with you." Celina nodded and the man gave a quick nod to the woman with the lab coat who then walked over to Celina and gave her a card.
"I´ll await your report." The man said and sat back down in his throne. "Dismissed."
Ren and Celina walked down the hallway. "You´re such a meany..." Ren mumbled in a childish manner. He was so looking forward to get out of here.
Celina only laughed a bit. "I was just faster."
Paradise City, East District
Morgan and Lynn were standing on the bottom end of a mountain path that led up towards the highest point of the mountain. A lot of other people were walking or jogging down or up the path. "I´ll admint, doing a morning run from time to time feels pretty good." Lynn said.
Morgan nodded. "I love sport. If I don´t have school then I often come here."
Lynn then looked towards the path which had steps struck into the stoneground. "How many steps are it up ?"
"About three thousand sevenhundred sixty eight." Morgan said.
"That´s... a number." Lynn said a bit nervous.
"Hey, if you think you wont make it until the top then better say it now because I´m not gonna cary you down when we´re half up."
Lynn gave Morgan a look. "Of course I make it. I even bet that I´m faster up there than you are."
Morgan smirked. "Now you go that way. Alright, but don´t say I didn´t warn you."
"I´ll be fine. But you should be careful. Your shoe is open." Lynn said, pointing at Morgan´s right shoe. Morgan looked down at it and Lynn grinned before starting running up the path. "That´s your stratedgy ?! My shoe is open ?!" Morgan shouted before quickly running after Lynn.
Morgan didn´t need long to catch up to Lynn. She then run past her and Lynn then grabbed onto her foot, making Morgan trip. Lynn laughed and run past her.
"Alright, Weston. Now you´re on." Morgan said, getting back up and chasing after Lynn. The girls were now half up and Lynn was still a bit ahead of Morgan. That´s when Lynn triped over a small tree branch and landed on her right foot in a bad way. "Ouch !"
"Are you okay, Lynn ?" Morgan asked worried once she reached her.
"I think so." Lynn replied while holding her right ankle. "Let me take a look." Morgan said and Lynn removed her hands. Her ankle was slowly getting thick and had a red mark. "This doesn´t look that good. Let´s better get to the hospital. Can you walk ?" Lynn got up and tried to walk but once she put pressure onn her foot it hurt. Morgan sighed. "Alright. I carry you."
"I don´t want..." Lynn moaned.
"What do you mean you don´t want ?" Morgan asked. "Fine, then I leave you here until you die." She added sarcastically.
Lynn sighed. "Fine." She sat back down and Morgan lifted her up. Lynn then grabbed around Morgan´s neck and looked at her. "And by the way, I won this."
Morgan only shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, sure. You won." She then slowly made her way back down.

Episode 16. Mysterious Danger
Paradise City, Kamiya Apartment
Morgan was sitting on her desk chair with her arms crossed, looking at Lynn who sat on her bed and had bandages around her right ankle. "I don´t know if I should thank you for this, Lynn, or be angry with you for putting me into this situation."
"Hey, it´s not my fault I sprained my ankle. Well, not completely." Lynn said back. "And besides that, asking Brody to spend some time together in the amusment park is not that of a big deal."
"I told you a hundred times by now that I don´t like Brody in that way ! We´re just best friends." Morgan shot back.
"I never meant it like that. You have been working day and night during the last three weeks, teaching at You Show and trying to get me back home, you deserve a day off from work." Lynn said back before holding up two tickets. "Also, it would be a chame to let this tickets go to waste just because I can´t come along."
Lynn now smiled. "I know what you´re trying to do and I really appreciate it, but I assure you, I´m fine. So stop complaining about it and just go spend some time with your best friend."
Morgan stayed silent for a moment, thinking about it. She had to admit, it has been a while since she and Brody did something together. She sighed. "Alright, I´ll ask him." She stood up and opened her balcony door. "But Lynn. Before you go home, let us do something together too, okay ?"
Lynn smiled. "Sure." Morgan smiled back and walked onto the balcony. She took out her smartphone and started texting.
( "Hey Brody. I was thinking that we have not spend some time just having fun together since we both were very busy this past weeks because of the championship and the case with Lynn. I thought that maybe you and I could go and have some fun together this saturday ? Maybe go to the amusment park or the movies, or maybe even both ?" ) Morgan
( "You did mentioned that a reporter gave you two tickets for the amusment park as a thanks for taking part in that interview last week. But didn´t you wanted to go with Lynn ?" ) Brody
( "Haha, funy thing. Lynn kind of went over her head this morning and sprained her ankle. She is not allowed to walk so much for the next three days." ) Morgan
( "I see. In that case yes, I gladly come along. Let´s meet outside the apartment complex around 1pm at Saturday ?" ) Brody
( "Sure. And Brody... thanks. You kind of save me with saying yes." ) Morgan
( "No problem :)" ) Brody
Morgan smiled and put her smartphone away and then looked up into the sky.
Kamiya Apartment, two days later
Brody was sitting on his bed with his arms and legs crossed while he looked at a bunch of different clothes he owned that lied on his bed. He sighed. Once he told Emma of Morgan´s invitation, his sister suggested that he should wear some new clothes.
Brody then grabbed a pair of dark grey jeans and a dark red summer sweater with a hood and sleeves that reach the middle of his arms. A yellow stripe was at the end of the sleeves and the bottom end, and on the left sleeve was a yellow dragon pattern which looks just like Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon. It even had the red and green eye. He then put them on and looked at himself in the mirror. He had to admit that he looks a bit more mature now.
He then heard a knock on his door. "Come in !" The door opened and Emma walked in. She looked at her brother with a smile. "You really look good in that, Brody. I placed some new black sneakers at the door that should match your clothes pretty well. Also, you should hurry since it´s almost 1pm."
Brody nodded and then placed his dragon shaped necklace around his neck. He grabbed his deck and Duel Disk and looked at his sister who raised an eyebrow. "Hey, some weird stuff has been happening recently, so you can´t be too careful."
Emma nodded even though she was not completely sure about what Brody was talking about.
A little while later, Brody stood outside the apartment complex with a black backpack on his back and waiting for Morgan. He was a bit nervous since this is the first time since weeks were he and Morgan have some time alone together.
He then heard footsteps coming towards him. He turned towards the sound and swallowed a bit. Morgan stood there, dressed in a black tank top, a long sleeved orange jeans jacket, a short orange skirt and long brown boots. She has her hair open which reaches down to the middle of her back, and she wears a white hairband and her old white belt with the deckholder.
Morgan looked at Brody nervous. "Lynn suggested I should try some new clothes out. It doesn´t look bad on me, right ?"
Brody raised an eyebrow. "Bad on you ? It looks really good on you, Morgan."
Morgan blushed when she heard that and turned her eyes to the right while she smiled a little. "You also look good in what you´re currently wearing, Brody."
Brody smiled. "Should we get going now ?" Morgan nodded and they then walked to get to the amusment park.
Half an hour later at the amusment park in the Central District
Brody and Morgan looked around the amusment park, it sure was crowded today. Brody then looked at Morgan. "So what do you want to do first Morgan ?"
Morgan looked around and saw a rollercoaster with a few loops. "How about we ride that rollercoaster ?"
Brody looked at it before he looked back at Morgan and nodded. "Sure. Why not ?" Both of them then bought a ticket so they could ride the rollercoaster. Soon they sat in the cart and were going up for the tracks of the rollercoaster. They then saw how it went straight down. "Here we go !" Brody shouted before he and Morgan shouted in excitment as the rollercoaster went down in high speed and before going up again and were getting close to the first of the three loops.
Fifteen minutes later, Brody sat on a bench while holding his head. He had gotten a little bit dizzy from the rollercoaster. Normally he had no problems with rollercoaster, but when you ride it three times and loops nine times, it´s understandable if you get a little dizzy. He jumped a little however when he felt something cold touch his cheek. He looked next to him and saw Morgan standing there with a soda in each hand. She looked at him worried. "Are you sure you´re feeling okay Brody ?"
Brody smiled and took the soda. "Yeah. I´m less dizzy then I was just a while ago, but I guess we really should have stopped after the second rollercoaster ride." Morgan laughed a bit and sat down next to him, planning on waiting until he wasn´t dizzy anymore.
Ten minutes later, both teenagers walked by some stands and Brody stopped at a large mystery house. He took a closer look at a poster and turned to Morgan. "Hey Morgan. It says when you go inside and manage to give right answers to twenty Quiz-Questions then you can win a little surprise. Shall we try our luck ?"
"Why not ? It sounds like fun." Morgan replied and they both then talked with the operator of the attraction and then walked inside. The first room was empty and on the other side was a dark red curtain. Three short ropes were on the right side next to the curtain as well as a white board with the rules and the first question writen on.
Morgan walked over to the board and read the text out loud. "Read the question on the board and then pull the rope with the answer you think is the right one. If you choose right then you can go on, if you pick wrong then prepare for a creepy surprise."
"Sounds definitely like fun. Okay, what´s the first question ?" Brody asked.
"Um... how many teeths does the card Pot of Greed has ? Thirty ? Twenty one ? Or twenty ?" Morgan said.
Brody rubbed his head. "I used that card often. I think the upper line has ten so this means the number twenty must be the right one."
"On the board it says that when you pick twenty then you have to pull the last rope." Morgan said. Brody nodded and then pulled on the last of the three rops. A few seconds passed and then the curtain moved, revealing a passageway to the next room.
"Pretty cool." Morgan said as she walked over. "I wonder what happens if you pick thw wrong answer ?" Brody said.
"According to the rules, a creepy surprise. Let´s better try not to pick wrong." Morgan said with a nervous smile and both then walked towards the next room.
Twenty-five minutes later, Morgan and Brody were walking while they were eating cotten candy which they won in the mystery house after answering all questions right. As they had left the house they also found out what happened to people who answered wrong. Either they were doused with green mucus or they were soaked from head to toe.
Brody suddenly noticed Morgan wasn´t walking next to him and saw her standing at a stand. He walked up to her and saw that it was a stand where you were supposed to knock down milk bottles with balls. He looked at her and saw what she was starring at. It was a small red dragon plushie which was fitting into your palm.
"Do you want it ?" He asked and Morgan got a slightly embarresed expression. For a moment Brody thought that she would deny it but she then nodded her head. Brody gave her his cotten candy before he placed money on the stand. The man behind the stand took the money and gave Brody three balls to throw.
Brody aimed and tossed the first ball, it flew right next to the bottles on the right side. He then threw the second one and it knocked the top three of the nine bottles down. Brody then concentrated as he aimed the last ball. He tossed the ball and managed to knock away the three bottles at the bottom causing all of them to fall down. The man behind the stand grabbed the dragon-plushie and handed it over to Brody who then gave it to Morgan who took it with a happy smile which caused Brody to smile as well.
The man behind the stand smiled as he looked at them before he leaned forward and whispered to Brody. "You got a really cute girlfriend there."
Brody blushed as he looked at the man. "She´s not my girlfriend ! She´s just my best friend !" He quickly whispered back.
The man smirked. "But you want her to be your girlfriend, right ?"
Brody blushed an even darker red then his hair and decided to end the conversation. He grabbed his cotten candy from Morgan and walked away with quick steps while Morgan followed him with a confused expression. The man behind the stand only chuckled a little.
Morgan placed the small red dragon-plushie into the pocket of her jacket and the two friends stopped at a Hounted House attraction. Brody looked at Morgan with a smirk. "Wanna go inside ?"
"Only if you don´t end up as the scaredy cat again." Morgan replied, teasing him a bit before walking inside.
"I´m not a scardey cat ! And by the way, I was five at that time !" Brody shouted back as he followed her. They walked through a path which Morgan has to admit looked quite creepy. A pale arm suddenly came out of the wall and grabbed onto Morgan´s arm, making her scream in fear and grab tight onto Brody.
Brody only laughed and grinned. "Who´s the scaredy cat now ?" Morgan looked to the side annoyed while blushing a bit.
A while later, Morgan and Brody walked away from the amusment park. The movie which they decided to go and watch would start in one and a half hour and they needed to be at the cinema at least twenty-five minutes before it started so they wanted to eat something before it begun.
Brody looked at his best friend. "So Morgan, where do you want to eat ?"
Morgan looked around, searching for a good place to eat. She then pointed at a hamburger place. "What do you say about hamburgers, Brody ? It´s been months since we ate it together, right ?"
Brody nodded with a smile. "Sure. If you want to then let´s get going. It would be good with two hot spicy cheese burgers now !" Morgan shook her head while she chuckled and they entered the hamburger place.
One hour later, Brody and Morgan had arrived at the cinema and entered. They got over to the counter and Brody spoke. "Hello. I´m Brody and this is Morgan." He pointed at Morgan before speaking again. "We´re here to pick up two tickets for The Wandering Duelist."
The Wandering Duelist was a recently released movie that was really popular among young Duelists. It was about a duelist that wandered from time to time and settled fights and troubles in it, like a wandering cowboy. But instead of using guns to settle it, they use Duel-monster cards to settle the dispates with a Duel.
The girl behind the counter handed out two tickets. Brody took the tickets and thanked the girl who gave him a really charming smile. Morgan rolled her eyes and sighed, a bit annoyed. She went over to a seat and sat down.
Brody sat down next to her. "Since we have some time left until the movie starts, wanna talk a bit ?"
"I didn´t wanted to bring it up here, but I´m worried about Lynn. I don´t know what I can do anymore. I tried to open the gates over and over again but nothing worked. I´m afraid that Lynn might be stuck in our world forever." Morgan said.
Brody nodded. "I don´t know what to do either. But don´t give up hope. There has to be a way and I´m sure you will find it."
"I guess you´re right." Morgan replied with a small smile. The two of them continued talking until the movie was about to begin. They walked towards the movie theater in order to get to their seats before the movie would begin.
Two hours later, Brody and Morgan walked out of the cinema while they were smiling.
"I can understand why that movie is popular among young Duelists. It was amazing !" Brody said excited. Morgan nodded her head. "Yeah, especially the part when the wandering duelist faced that guy who ruled over that vilage with an iron hand. That Duel was intense but in the end the wandering duelist managed to win."
Brody then noticed that the sky started to get dark. He looked at his smartphone and saw it was almost 8pm. "It´s getting late. We should start to head home." Morgan nodded. She was a bit disappointed that this fun day with Brody was about to end. But that didn´t mean they couldn´t have such a day again sometime. They then started to head for the train station.
After a while of walking, Brody started to notice something. He saw a shadow behind them. Brody narrowed his eyes. Was someone just walking this way or were they being followed. Brody decided he didn´t want to find out. He looked at Morgan, serious. "Let´s hurry up, Morgan." He grabbed her wrist and begun to pull her.
Morgan looked at Brody shocked. "What´s going on Brody ?" Her best friend didn´t answer and just looked over his shoulder slightly. He gritted his teeth when he saw that the person behind them increased his speed as well.
Brody looked at Morgan. "We´re being followed." Morgan looked shocked before she looked over her shoulder and saw that someone was really following them.
Morgan and Brody ran around a corner. They looked over their shoulders and they saw the one chasing them was gone. ("Maybe he noticed that we got aware of him and gave up on his intention...") Brody thought unsure. However, the next moment when they ran past an ally, a pair of arms came out of it and pulled Morgan into it, causing her to scream in shock and fear. Brody stopped right away when he saw this happen and run into the alley and saw a dark cloaked figure who was a head taller then Brody and Morgan standing there while holding Morgan in a tight grip so she wouldn´t be able to escape, and he also covered her mouth with one hand.
Brody gritted his teeth as he felt rage boil up inside of him. "Listen to me whoever you are because I´m not gonna repeat myself. Let her go, now !"
"You´ll have to fight." The cloaked person replied before using his right hand to take a piece of paper and a kunai out of his pocket. He then tossed the paper into the air and then threw the kunai, making it pin the paper to the ground in front of Brody. "If you want to save the girl then come to this location in two hours, alone." A dark portal started to appear on the wall behind them and the cloaked figure walked backwards towards it while pulling Morgan along.
"Hey ! Wait !" Brody yelled angry and helplessly. Morgan tried to get free but the figure´s grip was to strong. He pulled Morgan with him into the portal and it vanished.
"Morgan !" Brody ran up to the wall but there was nothing left. "Dammit !" He punshed the wall in anger before taking some deep breaths in to calm down again. He walked over to the piece of paper and picked it up. It was a photo of an abandoned warehouse on the port of Paradise City. Brody knew where that was.
He continued to look at the photo, trying to figure out how to get him and Morgan out of this mess. If he called the police then that guy might hurt Morgan so he had no other choice but to do as he was told. He took his smartphone out and send a quick massage to his sister.
( "Hey sis. Me and Morgan are having really fun at the cinema which is why we decided to watch a second movie. So it can be midnight until we get back. Just wanted to let you know so you don´t need to worry. Till later." ) Brody
( "Alright. Have fun and take care of yourselves." ) Emma
Brody sighed, relieved that his sister buyed that. He put his smartphone away and then grabbed his black backpack and pulled his Duel Disk out of it. He placed it onto his left arm and then left the alley and ran towards the train station.
Port at the south district, almost two hours later
It was now 10pm and this part of the port was mostly lifeless now. Brody looked at the picture in his hand and then up at the warehouse in front of him. It was definitely the same. The Pendulum Duelist got a determined expression. ("Whatever is in there, I´m not gonna leave this place without Morgan.")
Brody opened the door of the warehouse and saw it was completely black inside. He walked into it and looked around but he saw nothing then darkness. Suddenly he heard how the door shut behind him, making him turn to her. The lights then went on and Brody turned back. He saw the cloaked figure standing on the right side. Next to him on the ground was Morgan, leaning against the wall with her hands tied behind her back with a rope. She also had a cloth tied tightly over her mouth, preventing her from speaking. The sight enraged Brody even more but he was glad that she seemed to be unharmed.
"I see you came." The cloaked figure said, walking forward until he stood face to face with Brody.
Brody narrowed his eyes. He couldn´t even see this guy´s face. "Who are you ? And what do you want from us ?"
"That´s not important right now. If you want your friend back then duel me. If you win you can take the girl and leave, but when I win then you both will be coming with me."
"And what if I won´t ?" Brody asked.
"Then the girl will pay for it." The cloaked figure replied, pointing at Morgan.
Brody looked at Morgan and back to his opponent. "I won´t duel you if you don´t take your cloak off or at least tell me who you are !"
The cloaked figure didn´t respond and instead activated his black Duel Disk which had a holografic blade that was shaped similar to a sword. Brody only gritted his teeth, knowing he had no other choice now but to accept the Duel.
"Real Solid Vision is activated but there is no Action Field or Action Cards."
"I don´t need either of it to beat you !" Brody growled back.
"Duel !" Both then shouted.

"I start. I summon Guts Master Fire in attack mode." The cloaked figure said and a monster clad in kendo protection clothes and a kendo sword in its hand appeared.

"And now by using Guts Master Heat´s effect, I can summon another Guts Master monster. Appear, Guts Master Red." A monster dressed like a soccer player appeared. His hair is made out of fire and his boots are also on fire. He placed his foot onto a soccer ball.

Brody narrowed his eyes. ("He already summoned three monsters. However, I won´t be afraid. Not with Morgan on the stake.") He looked at her and then back to his opponent. "My turn ! I summon Action-Buddy Silver Claw !" A wolf with silver and white fur and long silver claws appeared. It has blue eyes, a dark blue spiky fur-mane, and on each cheek a small orange star.

"I attack Guts Master Red with Silver Claw ! And now that he has declared attack, his special ability activates which gives all Action-Buddy monsters 300 attack points until the end of the battle phase !" Silver Claw runs towards Guts Master Red while also increasing in attack.

"Guts Master Fire´s special ability activates. When another Guts Master monster which is in attack position is targeted for an attack, the destruction is negated." Silver Claw slashed along the monster´s chest with his right claw and returned back to Brody.

"I end my turn with two cards face down." Brody´s cards appeared for a second and vanished again.

"My turn." The cloaked figure drew a card. "I summon Inari Fire in defence mode." An orange and dark red fox came to the field. It had a tail of fire and a white beard.

("He duels very neutral. I guess he´s pretty experienced in Dueling.") Morgan thought. Being tied up, she can´t do anything but watch. But she trusts Brody.
"I use Inari´s effect which reduces your Silver Claw´s attack by 400." Silver Claw growled in pain as he lost attack. Silver Claw ATK/1400
"Now I attack your Silver Claw with Guts Master Fire." The monster lit up its kendo sword and slashed it down, sending a fire strike towards the wolf.
"I activate my Trap, Dragon´s Roar !" Brody said and one of his Traps flipped up. "This ends the Battle Phase and all the damge I would have taken is given to Silver Claw as attack points !" Silver Claw catched the fire strike with his mouth and ate the fire.

"My turn, I draw !" Brody looked at his drawn card and back at his opponent. "Last chance. Tell me who you are and what you want from us !"
"Make your move." The unknown person only replied. Brody gritted his teeth in anger. "With Scale 3 Odd-Eyes Ocean Dragon and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician I set the Pendulum Scale !" Brody slammed both cards onto his Duel Disk and the rainbow word "PENDULUM" appeared. Rising up in the pillar of light on the right side was a monster that looked just like Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, only it was only half his size, it has blue skin instead of red, and the orb on his stomach was red instead of blue. It also has yellow floating skin inbetween its fingers and toes. In the pillar on the left side was a magician with spiky brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a black cloak, dark blue pants, and attached to his right arm was a golden device which is similar to a duel disk.

"Now I can summon monsters between level three and eight at the same time ! Pendulum Summon ! Come forth, my monsters !" Two beams of light shot onto Brody´s field. "First comes the monster Dragon Dowser !" A pendulum in the form of a red baby dragon appeared.

"And now the ferocious Dragon, Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon !" A large black dragon appeared with a loud roar. It has four wings covered with fire, two big and two small.

Morgan´s eyes widened a bit as she saw the Dragon. ("The Dragon he got from Drake. It is now a Pendulum monster as well ?!")
"Now I attack your Guts Master Fire with Red-Eyes !" Brody shouted and the dragon gathered fire in his mouth.
"I counter your attack with Guts Master Heat´s effect. When another attacking position Guts Master is targeted by an attack, I can destroy the attacking monster."
"No !" Brody said as his dragon shattered. "Fine. Silver Claw attacks Guts Master Red !" The wolf run towards the monster and the cloaked figure pointed at his monster.
"Guts Master Red´s special ability activates. I destroy him and special summon a fire-type monster from my deck in defence mode, and that monster becomes the new target." The soccer dressed monster disappeared and a card came out of his deck. "I special summon Red Worg in defence mode." A large red humanoid wolf came to the field. It wore wrist armour and was surrounded by fire.

("Higher defence then Silver Claw´s attack...") Brody thought and pointed at Silver Claw. "As you might remember, when Silver Claw declares an attack, all Action-Buddy´s including himself gain 300 attack points." Silver Claw ATK/2400
"Useless move. When Red Worg is in defence position he can´t be destroyed by battle."
"Dammit." Brody said. Silver Claw rammed into Red Worg who just pushed him away. The wolf landed back on Brody´s field.
Brody pointed at his Pendulum Zone. "I use Odd-Eyes Ocean Dragon´s effect ! Once per turn, I can half the attack points of one monster you control. I choose Guts Master Heat !" Ocean Dragon unleashed a roar which made Guts Mater Heat cover his ears. Guts Master Heat ATK/800
"Now I attack Guts Master Heat with Dragon Dowser !"
"I use Guts Master Fire´s effect to prevent Heat´s destruction." Unknown person said. The dragon-shapped Pendulum slammed into the football monster but it survived.
"But you still take damage." Brody said. Unknown Challenger LP 3400 (-700) 2700
"You´re good. But it´s not enough to beat me and save your friend." The cloaked figure said.
("His monster combo is good. But there is a way to break it.") Brody thought as he gritted his teeth. "I end my turn." Silver Claw ATK/2100

"Then it´s my turn again." The cloaked figure looked at his drawn card and placed it into his Trap Zone. "First I place one card face down. And next I banish Guts Master Red to add a random Spell or Trap card to my hand." A card popped out of his deck and he grabbed it. He then switched the card of his Red Worg into attack. "Next I change Red Worg to attack mode, and now I attack your Silver Claw with Red Worg." The humanoid wolf unleashed a ball of fire from his mouth which hit Silver Claw and destroyed him. Brody shielded himself with his right arm.

"Guts Master Fire takes out your Dragon Dowser." The monster lit up his kendo sword and slashed the Pendulum in half, causing an explosion.

"When Dragon Dowser is destroyed by battle or card effect, all monsters you control change into defence mode !" Brody said and all monsters on his opponent´s side got surrounded by a thin blue light. "I end my turn." Unknown person said.
TURN 6 Brody LP 3400 Hand 0 / Unknown Challenger LP 2700 Hand 1
"I draw !" Brody saw it was a Spell and played it. "I play Pood of Greed to draw two more cards." Brody took two more cards from his deck and saw that one of them was his Odd-Eyes. He smiled. "Alright buddy. Let´s save Morgan together !" Brody then held up his hand. "With the already set Pendulum Scale I Pendulum Summon !" The pendulum portal opened and two red beams shot out of it and onto the field. "Return from the Extra Deck, Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon ! And from my hand appear the mighty dragon with two different colored eyes, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon !" Both dragons appeared on the field and roared.

"Next I activate my face-down continuous Trap, Dragon´s Rage ! Now all monsters I control can do piercing damage !" Brody then played the card in his hand. "Future more I activate the Equip Spell, Burning Dragon Wings ! I give it to Odd-Eyes and he gains 500 more attack points !" Fire surrounded the spikes on Odd-Eyes´ back. The fire extended and took on the form of wings. Odd-Eyes ATK/3000
Morgan would like to smile if she wasn´t gagged right now. ("Way to go, Brody. The effects of that Guts Masters only work when they are in attack position. Since they are now in defence, you can take them out. And thanks to your Trap you can also inflict damage.")
Brody then held out his hand forward. "Now Red-Eyes attacks Inari Fire !" Red-Eyes gathers fire in his mouth before he fiered a power stream of fire towards the fox.
"I use Inari Fire´s effect. Your Dragon loses 400 attack points." The cloaked figure said and the attack lost some of its power. Red-Eyes ATK/2000
The attack then hit the monster and it exploded. Unknown Challenger LP 2700 (-1800) 900
"I use Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon´s special ability ! Once per turn when Red-Eyes attacked or was attacked, then he can inflict damage to you equal to his original attack points !"
"I activate one of my three Trap cards, Guts Master Firewall ! With this I can negate your monster´s effect !"
Brody held up his hand towards Timegazer Magician. "I activate Timegazer Magician´s Pendulum Effect ! Once per turn I can negate the activation of a Trap card that targets a Pendulum monster and place it face down again. Inverse Gear Width !" The golden device on the magician´s arm extended itself and formed an almost complete circle around him. The vision of an ancient clook appeared where the time started to move backwards. The Trap was negated and flipped back to face down position.
"Then I just activate my second Trap card which is also Guts Master Firewall. Now your Dragon´s effect is negated."
("So he had two of the same Trap card face down...") Brody thought before he jumped onto Odd-Eyes´ back and held onto the spikes on his back. "Now Odd-Eyes, attack Guts Master Heat ! Spiral Flame Strike !" Odd-Eyes roared and then unleashed his energy beam.
"I activate my third Trap, Fire Cloak. When a level four or lower Fire-Type monster is targeted for an attack, its attack and defence increases by 800 and it can´t be destroyed this turn." Guts Master Heat ATK/2400 DEF/2400
"But that doesn´t prevent you from taking damage !" Brody shouted. Odd-Eyes´ attack hit but didn´t destroyed the monster. However, the shockwave sent the cloaked figure a few steps back. Unknown Challenger LP 900 (-600) 300
"I end my turn." Brody said and then glanced at Morgan. ("Hold on, Morgan. Just a little bit longer.")
TURN 7 Unknown Challenger LP 300 Hand 1 / Brody LP 3400 Hand 0
"My turn." The cloaked figure said, taking a card from his deck. "I change Red Worg to attack, and now I activate the Spell, Fusion of Fire. With this I can fuse Guts Master Fire and Guts Master Heat !" Both monsters got sucked into the vortex. "Fusion Summon ! Appear, level eight. Elemental Knight Fire !" A humanoid monster appeared, wearing orange and red armour and a helmet. It also has a cape and sword made out of fire.

"So you can Fusion Summon." Brody said but he got ignored. The cloaked figure then pointed at Red-Eyes. "Red Worg, take out Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon !" The humanoid wolf charged forward, his claws surrounded with fire. Brody gritted his teeth. He could only watch since he had no Traps set or any cards in hand. The wolf slashed Red-Eyes with his burning claw, making him shatter.

The cloaked figure then played a Spell card. "I activate the Spell, Mini-Guts ! I target your Odd-Eyes and tribute Red Worg." The humanoid wolf shattered and Odd-Eyes glowed. "Now the attack of your Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon becomes zero."
"No !" Brody said while his Dragon roared in pain. Odd-Eyes ATK/0
"Elemental Knight Fire, attack Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon !" The Knight charged forward and slashed along Odd-Eyes´ chest, sending him and Brody flying backwards. Odd-Eyes then vanished and Brody landed on the ground.
Brody LP 3300 (-3200) 100
"Brody !" Morgan gave out a muffeled but worried sounding shout. Her best friend pushed himself back onto his feet. "Odd-Eyes !" He called out for his friend with sadness.
The cloaked figure took interest in that. ("Seems like I´m starting to quite hit him. Alright, time to do what I was ordered to do.")
"You have no cards in your hand, no monsters left on your field and only 100 life points left. Soon you´ll be finished and the two of you will come with me. However, that doesn´t mean that I can´t have some fun with your friend before that. Being tied up and gagged, she won´t be able to fight back anyway." The cloaked figure said.
"Don´t you dare touch her !" Brody growled while he balled his fist in anger. He started to feel pure hatred and rage boil up within him, something he had never felt before in his life, and he only felt those feelings getting stronger and stronger.
"I never said that I needed to touch her for that." The cloaked figure replied and his monster pointed with his hand at Morgan. Brody´s eyes widened as he understood right away what that guy was about to do. "No ! Stop that !" He yelled with anger and fear.
The monster then fiered a stream of fire towards Morgan. "No !" Brody yelled with horror as he saw the attack hitting the wall above Morgan and causing an explosion. As the smoke faded, Morgan was on her left side while parts of the wall lay around her. It seemed she was able to dodge the attack... but she wasn´t moving...
Brody´s eyes were wide with shock while his rage started to grew even more. Weird, he also starts to feel the urge to completely crush and destroy the guy in front of him. He lowered his head so his eyes got hidden by a shadow.
Morgan groaned in pain as she pushed herself back into a sitting position. ("Real Solid Vision... real attacks... that was pretty dangerous.") She thought but then started to feel something. She looked over her right shoulder and saw that her silver bracelet was glowing. A few seconds later, she could move her arms. The rope with whitch her hands were tied was cut. ("How did it break ?") She thought as she stood up and untied the cloth that was over her mouth. She then looked back to the Duel but the pink light from her bracelet became stronger and started to pulsate. Morgan felt tension grew inside of her. It scared her a bit. However, that feeling made her look right at Brody.
"You really shouldn´t have done that." Brody growled as he looked up with an expression of pure rage. His necklace was glowing red and the pupils of his eyes were a reptilian slit... similar to a Dragon´s eye... "It´s my turn now, I draw !" Brody drew a card and revealed it. "I activate the Spell, Miracle Pendulum Draw ! A random Pendulum monster is sent from my deck to my Extra Deck and I draw cards equal to its level !" A card came out of Brody´s deck and he revealed it. "It´s the level three monster Timebreaker Magician. I draw three cards !" Brody took three cards from his deck and looked at them.
"I play the Spell, Odd-Eyes Reverse ! If a face-up Odd-Eyes Dragon-Type monster or face-up Pendulum Dragon monster was destroyed in the former turn, I can special summon 1 Odd-Eyes Dragon-Type monster from my deck and increase its attack by 1000 ! Come forth, Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon !" A large Odd-Eyes Dragon with white and yellow armour and one red and one green eye appeared. He has two pairs of white and yellow armour wings which have a little bit the form of swords. It unleashed a loud roar.

Morgan looked shocked. ("He has another Odd-Eyes Dragon hybrid...")
"Next I destroy my set Pendulum Scale !" Brody growled as both Odd-Eyes Ocean Dragon and Timegazer Magician shattered. Brody then revealed the two other cards in his hand. "I now use the Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and the Scale 10 Dragonpulse Magician to set the new Pendulum Scale !" Stargazer was a male with long dark white hair, blue eyes and dressed in a white cloak and a purple cape. In his left hand he holds a black staff which has a white circle item attached in the middle. Dragonpulse Magician was a male with long orange hair that is bond into a long braided ponytail and purple eyes. He wears black clothes and a white open cloak with yellow ends while he holds a white bow in his left hand.

"Now I can summon monsters between level one and ten at the same time ! Pendulum Summon ! Revive from the Extra Deck and unleash your rage ! Appear now ! Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon !" Brody roared.
Morgan looked on with shock. ("Unleash your rage...?! Why are you talking like that ?!")
The Pendulum portal opened and a red beam shot onto the field. Odd-Eyes appeared and unleashed a mighty but scary roar.

Brody then pointed forward. "Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon, take out Elemental Knight Fire !" The dragon roared before his body got surrounded by white fire. He then charged forward and rammed into the Fusion monster, pushing it into the roof. The force of the attack was so strong that the monsters broke right through the roof and the knight then shattered.
"Once per turn, Elemental Knight Fire´s effect prevents battle damage." The cloaked figure said.
"It doesn´t matter ! I´ll finish you anyway ! You really shouldn´t have enraged a Dragon like me !" Brody yelled as his necklace glowed even more and a dark aura surrounded the Pendulum Dragon. "Odd-Eyes, finish him ! Spiral Flame Strike !" Odd-Eyes roared before he unleashed his dark energy beam.
"Dragonpulse Magician´s Pendulum Effect activates ! Once per turn, if a Dark Dragon-Type monster battles, before damage calculation, that monster gains 1200 attack points !" The red and green orbs on Odd-Eyes´ spikes started to glow and his energy beam increased in power.
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon ATK/3700
"End him, Odd-Eyes !" The energy beam rammed right into the cloaked figure and sent him crashing through the wall behind him. The energy beam was so strong that it even shot through two other warehouses before extending into the sky and vanishing.
Morgan cringed as she was shielding herself with her arms from the attack´s shockwave. She then lowered her arms and gasped in shock as she saw how much damage the attack caused. ("So much destruction... even though it was a Duel with Real Solid Vision... damage like this shouldn´t be possible...")
Both Dragons were still on the field and they begun to roar like mad. Right then, Morgan´s bracelet let out a massive pink light which blinded her. The light made both Dragons shatter and Brody glared at Morgan. "You can´t hold me back forever. One day, me and my brothers will become one again."
The light faded and Morgan opened her eyes. She saw Brody holding his head and ran over to him. "Brody ?!"
Brody turned towards her, his eyes were back to normal. "Morgan ? What happened ? Are you okay ?"
"You won. Now let´s get out of here ! The warehouse is about to colapse !" Morgan said while the warehouse indeed started to collapse in on itself. The teens ran towards the door, and right when they passed the threshold, the warehouse completely collapsed as well as the other two warehouses which were hit by the energy beam of Odd-Eyes. Brody and Morgan sighed, reliefed that they were save.
"Well, never thought our good day would have such an ending. Whoever that was sure was crazy." Brody said.
"I agree." Morgan said before she heard sirens coming from not to far away. "We better go. I don´t really wanna explain this to the police." Brody nodded his head and both ran away from the port as fast as they could.
Twenty minutes later, while the police was at the rubble of the warehouse and tried to find out what has happened, the cloaked figure walked into a dark alley and then kneeled down on one leg. Celina then walked out of the shadows. "And ?"
The cloaked figure took three cards out of his Duel Disk and handed them to Celina. "This is all the energy I gathered."
Celina took the cards and looked at them. It was more energy then she actually expected. "Good work. The master sure will be pleased with this." She then closed her eyes. "However, you were ordered to not let them get away. You failed your mission and you know what that means."
"Of course." The cloaked figure lowered his head and Celina pushed a button on her Duel Disk. A bright purple light shined and the cloaked figure vanished. A few seconds later, a card appeared in Celina´s hand with the image of the cloaked figure.
Midnight, Kamiya Apartment
Emma and Lynn were already deep asleep while Brody and Morgan stood outside on the apartment´s balcony. They had talked for a while and decided to keep their encounter with this mesterious guy a secret.
"Are you sure you´re okay ?" Brody then asked.
"Yeah, I´m fine." Morgan replied with a smile before she got a troubled expression. "Hey Brody. During the end of your Duel... you kinda acted not like yourself..."
Brody gave her a bemused look. "What do you mean I acted weird ?"
Morgan sighed, guessing he can´t remember that for some reason. She shook her head and smiled. "I mean you were really amazing. Thanks for saving me."
"No problem. That´s what friends are for." He replied with a huge smile. Morgan´s smile also grew and both teens then looked up towards the with stars glittering night sky. Right. They will always be there for each other. No matter what happenes.
