Inuyasha crossover Ouran High School Host Club

Chapter 12

Their eyes met but never once did they talked to one another, and the way she looked at him it was never once in acknowledgement of him, but more like she is looking right through him as though he did not exist.

Icy cold hands gripped at him as Kyoya turned away. He was here for exposure and made good use of it to mingle and touch base with the few that he had already pre-indicated that will be of future advantage to him or his family. Though unlike her appearance as a guest speaker, he was there in attendance as an attendee to learn.

Unlike of how his cool demeanour appears, his inner mind was already running about with one too many thoughts about their time together in the past, perhaps one of the few enjoyable things that he liked in his routine. He watches her from the corner of his eyes whilst going about in the room.

"I would like us to talk," Kyoya mustered as he finally came face to face with her.

Kagome looked at him for a moment, her eyes flickered. There was really nothing much in which they need to speak about.

"Is there anything more to talk about?" she asked with a rather signature raise of a brow that she learned from someone.

He was a little tongue-tied, being the one to disappear on her. Ghosting they called it, his mind had a number of lines to say to her, but nothing came to mind. The look on her face was not looking too impressed, especially that frown marring her brow like…

"Since there is nothing, goodbye," she curtly told him with a polite enough smile and then she walked by him. Her footsteps a little quicker than it was.

"Kagome!" he called out and yet she did not stop nor pause in her steps.

Kyoya paused and was hesitant, as though hoping that she would turn at the very last moment before she disappeared from his sight, but she did not.

He followed on after her, pausing at a point as though that was not something that he should be doing with someone of his family name, maybe his sister…He followed.

"Kagome!" he called again blindly as though she would hear him as she was getting into the vehicle.

She heard him, but pretended that she did not as her car started to move. Her eyes glanced to the rear view mirror to see him standing there by the side of the street where she once was. There were a few things that her mind was running on, but then they are fleeting and she soon pushed them away as she turned her attention to her phone.

The past few years she had been busy, getting her studies together and her career, maybe it is running away, maybe it is a distraction. At least the thing between them was long over when they lost contact after so long.

To see him again, it brought back some fond memories, to which she did smile at from time to time whenever it did pop up in her mind. Other than that, nothing else about them and it is all about juggling school work and her business.

"I'm here to bring you out for lunch, and we're going to one of your favourite."

She looked up with a look on her face as though she was not sure whether or not to laugh or frown at it.

"You are very well informed." Kagome told him as she closed the folders on her desk and looked the young Shippo, all grown up and a woman magnet.

"With you, of course."

"Which of my favourite," she asked, getting up as she pushed her chair in, smoothly grabbing her bag as they exited her office with a simple goodbye to her secretary and staffs.

"You'll know when we get there," he told her with a smile, and place his hand gently at her back as he led her into the lift.

"About that boy…" a sly smile tugged at the corner of his lips as his eyes twinkled with quiet gossipy curiosity.

"That would explain the lunch, and here I thought you knew everything," she mused following him.

He smiled in that same sly foxy way, "It is not as good as when you tell it personally."

"Hmm…"
