There's something missing from our world. 99% of life on earth that time and fiction has left behind. What if we can bring them back? What if extinction or fiction doesn't have to be forever? We're going back in time and space with a difference as Lincoln and co. plunge into prehistory and alternate universes to rescue animals on the brink of extinction or fiction. Their plan is to bring them back to the safety of the present to give them a second chance. This time, the team travel to another world in Minecraft to where bugs truly rule. They are in for a lot of surprises from flesh-eating spiders to three meter centipedes! Welcome to the ultimate wildlife sanctuary. Welcome to Speculative Park.

The park has been busy lately. But however, there is now another special as the team are going to save giant bugs! Not from a prehistoric time period, but from another world though. It was none other then the Erebus from Minecraft! The results are that special enclosures were built to hold the invertebrates as it was ranging from a domed designs to a few areas to pet those that are gentle. With Tommy, he was setting up the portal with the Staff of Gaea and Gaean Keystones at to where the normal time portal would be. Not to mention that Phil and Lil used to eat bugs (try to) when they were babies.

Tommy: Alright the portal is ready and we can head to the Erebus.

He was going to head today's team as Lincoln is away to attend to a reunion party with his other friends. Today's team was Tommy himself, along with Kimi, Sid, Adelaide, Phil and Lil. They were all ready. They decided to take the jeep (as usually the missions would be on foot mostly) for the mission. In which the jeeps were used mostly for going around the outdoor enclosures and sometimes excursions, but will be used for when the mission has the right conditions for it. The team boarded the jeep with Tommy in the drivers side and Kimi at shotgun.

Tommy: Everybody ready?

All: Yes.

In which Tommy nodded as the portal was activated and the team went through. The jeep drives onto the Elysian Fields. It was pretty nice as there were beetles: standard ones and titan beetles, beetle grubs along side their parents, glowworms, cicadas, crop weevils, bees, butterflies and other animals of the field. It was until the team halted the jeep to come across odd grasshoppers, leafhoppers and crickets. The grasshoppers had textures of zebras, the leafhoppers have wildebeest-like appearances and textures as well and the crickets with textures of gazelles, impalas and antelope.

Phil: These insects are pretty odd.

Lil: That's new.

Kimi: Never appeared in the game or mod before.

Tommy: But there is first thing of everything.

Adelaide: Yep.

Sid: Yeah.

Just then a Zebra grasshopper nymph stotted out from the bushes as a giant red-knee tarantula was chasing after it. As it continues to stot away from the pursuer as the rest of the herds: via the rest of the zebra grasshoppers, along with the Wilde-leafhoppers, Gazelle crickets, Impala crickets and Antelope crickets. The insects notice and started to hop as fast as their legs can carry them.

Kimi: How about we try to get this lot through the portal.

Sid: Agree.

In which they reserve the jeep and start to scramble out of it. Tommy and Kimi set up the portal as Sid takes out a sack of cabbages for this type of adventure. Then the portal activates and Sid throws it through the portal with the herbivores stampeding into it, followed by the tarantula. The grasshoppers, leafhoppers and crickets were settled in the new part of the park called Erebus Adventure. It was the newly built exhibit and section design for giant invertebrates of the Erebus universe, along with other types of creatures living along side them. The insects were currently settled in the big dome part of the section on the left side. As this building was mostly devoted for mostly the herbivores. The right side is the same, but all of the building has see-through tunnels, observation decks and a dirt road in case for safari runs. The tarantula was put in a large enclosure. As the domed enclosures were design for most of the animals that come from here from escaping. Back with the team, they went around to see the edge of the the fields with two other biomes on each side of a river heading through (and under) the Elysian Fields. The biomes were a Fungal Forest and and Underground Jungle.

Kimi: I guess those are new as well.

As for this, they then saw a dragonfly carrying off a piece of meat. Then suddenly rumbling noises came from both sides of the river and the ground trampled. Such as, a few Zombie ant workers were fleeing from the forest, a huge flock of flies from the jungle flee into the underground skies and a ladybug flew at full force as then two giant creatures appeared from each side. The team then look in horror to see a Crushroom! This was a mushroom-like behemoth as it was facing a Centipede Rex! The centipede roars at the mushroom creature.

Phil: A giant centipede!?

Kimi: I know right?!

The arthropod snarls as the crushroom roared back in response. The centipede then lunges at the beast and starts to grip onto it. The crushroom grabs onto it's mouth parts in an attempt to pry open the jaws. But it would take more then that as the centipedes injects it's venom into the blood of it's rival. The crushroom punches the centipede rex and it finally let's go. As the result, the crushroom runs off, followed by the zombie ant workers from before followed. In which gave Kimi an idea.

Kimi: I got this, Tommy you're with me to follow those ants, as the rest of you can deal with the centipede.

All: Sure.

Tommy follows Kimi in the direction where the giant and ants went and the rest of the team goes to handle the centipede. In which the centipede rex then jumps over them and chases after a herd of zebra grasshoppers it just saw. The team then divides into a smaller team: Sid and Adelaide were going to go search off for other animals by foot as Phil and Lil go pursue the centipede on the jeep. With Tommy and Kimi, they follow the ants and crushrooms. The zombies ants were different from others in this world (and Earth) because they are green and zombie-like with no signs of dying. It's possible that they were descended from ancestors that were infected with Cordyceps: a type of fungi that infects insects and that their ancestors must've adapted to living with their sickness and use it for some advantages. Not to mention that it might explain that they continue to live on with no symptoms.

Tommy: I am surprise that these ants never show symptoms.

Kimi: Yep, but we must try to find out about what these are really up to.

The purple haired duo continues to follow the animals until they heard a thud. The crushroom has collapse and was starting to sick from the centipede rex's venom. The crushroom then slowly lays down on its side and dies. It appears that the works scented that it was sick and follows it around. Tommy and Kimi watches from a bush as the ants move in to gather as much of the carcass they can.

Tommy: Well I guess that the ants wanted for the crushroom to die, as they must have scented the venom somehow and started to follow it.

Kimi: Yep, but we must find their nest and maybe more other creatures.

As they then saw one of the workers go towards another direction to presumably their colony. The rest of the workers take apart the carcass piece by piece. But however, it almost looks like they weren't going to get the chance today. Tommy and Kimi saw a group of of burying beetles. It appears that the beetles want this carcass too. As at least those were possibly males that have females (who are in the back of them watching) and that are pregnant and ready to lay eggs.

Tommy: This is going to get bloody.

Kimi: And gutty.

The beetles charge forwards and attack the workers. The workers fought jaw and claw against the beetles. One of the beetles grabs one of the workers and flings it in the air and it lands onto a pile of rotten mushrooms. In a attempt to hide the smell of the carcass, one of the workers defecates on it. But it'll take more then that to put off the beetles. One of the beetles grabs part of one of the legs of the lifeless body and the worker that defecated jumps onto it's head and goes for a ride. But then suddenly marching was heard.

Kimi: I wonder what that is.

She got here answer when one of the workers from before came back with a few other workers and soldiers! The ants had the advantage as the beetles left and were not up for this risk. They went off to find somewhere else to find carcasses. Kim and Tommy looks in surprise as the ants went to each part of the carcass and starts to carry it off to their nest.

Tommy: Now it's our chance to go find their nest.

Which they did. The duo follows the ants from a safe distance to see where their nest was. The trek lasted until the nest (anthill) came into view. The anthill was about 10 feet tall and was pretty big compared to some of the mushrooms. The ants carry the carcass towards onto right in front of the nest. The soldiers went in and around their territory and towards the nest. As for the workers, they started to take apart the carcass and began to them into the nest.

Kimi: Alright, we'll have to try to get these guys through the portal.

Tommy: But what's the plan?

The duo prepared to set their plan into action. Tommy sets up the portal, whilst Kimi goes to take care of the ants. The ants notice her taking pieces of the carcass with her and they started to go after her. Somehow, there were was also 3 other colonies as well. They follow after their prize as Kimi sees that Tommy activated the portal. She throws the meat with the ants (even the queens with the workers carrying their brood with them) follow through the portal and into the Holding Pen Ports. Luckily, they were all lured to giant terrariums in shape of ant farms and they were safely in there. Back with Sid and Adelaide, they were heading towards a Subterranean Savannah, whilst following a pack of Gray wolf spiders chasing after a herd of cicadas.

Sid: I got an idea of how to get them through the portal. Follow my lead Adelaide.

Adelaide: Sure.

In which Sid gestured for her little sister to lure the cicadas with a sack of potatoes as she went over to a top of a hill to set up the portal. Adelaide then waved and swings the potato sack for the cicadas to notice. The insects noticed and run towards Adelaide's direction (the wolf spiders were still on their tail though). The portal was activated for the stampeding herd and they went through, followed by the wolf spiders. The cicadas were put in the big building with the other herbivores, as the gray wolf spiders were put in a enclosure with mountain theme.

As they then were about to head down to the savannah to catch up with Phil and Lil, who are in the jeep. Luckily the twins notice the Chang siblings and waves hi at them to let them know they are there.

Both: We're here.

Sid and Adelaide: Us too!

But then suddenly, the ground shook with lots of sounds. The four kids looks around to see it was none other then the centipede rex then before. In which it was also the zebra grasshoppers, along with other invertebrates like black rhino beetles, elephant beetles, caterpillars, inchworms, glowworms, honeypot ants and crop weevils!

Phil: OMG! We must try to get this lot through the portal at once!

In which they did. Sid and Adelaide sets up the portal, as Phil and Lil travel along side the stampede and the chasing centipede. Which Sid and Adelaide were quick to activate the portal. Just in time as the stampede got closer (with one of the rhino beetles tearing off a tree branch will it's horn) and heads through the portal. The two Chang siblings jumps out the way as a elephant stomps towards them. The behemoth stumbles through the portal, along with the other animals too. Luckily the Holding Pen Ports were quick enough to hold them all at once. The ants (along with their queens and brood) were all herded along with the beetles, grasshoppers, caterpillars, inchworms and glowworms were all gathered. Don was very quick enough to have them be teleported to Erebus Herbivores. As in the ants and herbivores were quick enough to head through the teleportal and into that big building just in time!

Don: That was a close call.

But he was wrong, the centipede rex climbs the wall and rampages through the park. As for this, the arthropod chases a staff member (who was holding a piece of meat) and towards it's would-be enclosure. Luckily there was a clone cow in there, so the centipede senses the animal and leaps through. The doors were closed and the centipede rex was successfully in the paddock. It was munching on the now dead cow. Back with Tommy and Kimi, they were luring a group of crushlings, punchrooms and crushrooms through the portal. In which the fungi-like animals were rather okay with going through the portal.

Kimi: That was easy.

Tommy: Yep.

As they were now about to walk out of the Fungal forest, the heard crashing. Mushrooms were being trampled, flies flew away and jumping spiders leapt out of the forest in a panicked way and through the portal. In which it was followed by a stampede of stag beetles were rampaging (with their grubs/larva following suit), followed by a pack of Red wolf spiders. It was surprising for them.

Kimi: Come on, let's go back to the park.

In which they did and it was pretty okay. The jumping spiders were put in one of the domed enclosures with perching areas for them, the mushroomed beasts were put in a enclosure together with holes for the punchrooms and crushlings to have access to the other herbivores (the crushrooms were going to remain in this enclosure to avoid fights). The honeypot ants appear to do well in this big building and don't seem to be violent.

Next time on Speculative Park: the team are heading back to the Erebus to rescue more giant invertebrates.

(A giant velvet worm rearing up and spraying slime at Kimi as she is helping a herd of roly-polies; but not trapping her though)

But there will be more deadly creatures to peaceful ones!

(A bombardier beetle and a burying beetle fighting against a giant desert tarantula, as herd of slugs were nearby.)

With more odd ones too.

(A group of stick insects staying still to avoid a pack of praying mantises)

Animals rescued:
