The Big Dance

Many trolls were hard at work getting lots of fancy lanterns and decorations hanged up as Guy Diamond was busy readjusting a huge disco ball while Tiny polished it, making it super shiny. Biggie was placing a nice tablecloth onto a long wooden table while Mr. Dinkles watched from his shoulder. Smidge was adding some glow bugs inside a lantern before hanging it up onto a tree branch. Poppy was going over her checklist as she said with excitement, "This is going to be the best Hairball we've ever thrown yet." Aggie, who was putting together a crystal chandelier, said, "Yeah! I hope it goes well, considering not a lot of trolls do "fancy" events. My concerns are that if the rock trolls and the country trolls are going to be alright doing this." As Aggie began to pull the chandelier up so it would hang perfectly above the party, Poppy stated, "Don't worry, Aggie. I have already spoken to them, and they all unanimously agreed that they are more than alright with doing this kind of party." Once the chandelier was in its spot and tied safely so it wouldn't fall and crash, Aggie then said, "I can't wait! I assume you and your fiance are going to be sharing a slow dance tonight at the Hairball"? Poppy blushed and said, "Yes, we are. Speaking of which, I've been meaning to ask a huge favor of you, Aggie. Would you...be one of my bridesmaids for the wedding"? Aggie's eyes widened in excitement as Poppy explained, "See, you've done so much to help us out ever since you first came to our village. Between us helping you find your True Colors, the battle of the bands, the creation of Trollstopia, you were always by our side. You helped us up when we were down. You brought a party to life when things looked dull. You're an extraordinary friend to us, Aggie, and it would mean the world if one of my closest friends was one of my bridesmaids." Aggie quickly ran and hugged Poppy tightly while saying, "Yes! Yes! I'd love to be a bridesmaid, Poppy"!

The pop queen smiled as she accepted Aggie's hug. Then, Aggie felt a vision coming as in the vision, Trollex was holding a rainbow rose as he nervously asked, "Aggie, my one and only, will you be my plus one to the Hairball tonight"? Once the vision ended, Aggie separated from Poppy as the pop queen asked, "Aggie? Are you ok," as she then whispered, "Did you have a vision"? Aggie nodded excitedly, saying, "Yep, and it's exhilarating"! However, before she could tell Poppy about the vision, she felt a pair of hands cover her eyes and ask in a familiar voice, "Guess who"? Aggie had a huge grin as she said, "Trollex," which allowed the hands to come free and Aggie to hug her boyfriend tight. They both shared a quick kiss as she asked, "What are you doing here, Trollex"? He cleared his throat before saying, 'I came because I have something important to ask you." The sight of King Trollex was enough to get every troll to stop whatever they were doing and watch in awe. Trollex took a deep breath as he pulled out a rainbow rose behind his back, asking, "Aggie, my one and only, will you be my plus one to the Hairball tonight"? Everyone was shocked as Aggie had happy tears flowing while she shouted, "Yes! A thousand times, yes,"! She and Trollex hugged each other again and shared a much longer, passionate kiss while the crowd of trolls cheered for the couple.

Poppy cheered the loudest as Trollex and Aggie soon broke the kiss so they could breathe. At that moment, Rhythm and Blues came running in, with Rhythm saying, "We just heard the news," with Blues adding, "Yes to the yes, girl! You deserve your King"! Trollex and Aggie ended up blushing from Blue's statement as Poppy and Rhythm ended up laughing. Soon, Val and Melody were joining the fray as Melody said, "We missed it, Val! We missed witnessing one of life's greatest treasures: seeing Aggie getting a date proposal from her boyfriend, the King of Techno Reef"! The happy couple's blush grew as Beat teased, "Trollex! you're glowing brighter than a glow-mato," which made the Techno King cover his face to try and hide the increasing blush. Meanwhile, Aggie was hiding her face with her hair as she commented embarrassingly, "Come on, guys. You're making me embarrassed." Everyone shared a good laugh about it as Val commented, "Keep your rainbow locks down. You know we're just messing with you. But even so, you're both pretty adorable when you're flustered." Poppy then asked, "So, Val, Melody, have you two found dates for the Hairball tonight"? Val shrugged as she replied, "I'm going single. Not that it wouldn't be cool to go to something like this with a guy, even if it is kind of sappy. Still, this bachelorette ain't ready to go out with anyone just yet. I'm rocking hard alone, just the way I like it. Well, maybe with the exception of my friends, of course." Melody placed her hands behind her head as she stated, "It's the same for me. Not that I wouldn't want to have a date, but a troll's gotta catch my interest before it happens. Besides, I'm enjoying being single. Who needs dating, no offense Trollex, and Aggie."

Val then smirked as she retorted, "Melly, just tell them the news," which made her younger cousin blush and become flustered. Aggie snickered as she said, "Ooh! This seems interesting,"! Rhythm commented, "Spill the tea, girl," as Blues added, "Who's the lucky troll"? Everyone waited in anticipation as Melody's blush grew while the flustered pop/rock troll explained, 'Well...I...actually met someone." Everyone seemed to cheer and/or squeal in excitement as Melody explained, "His name is Mojo Mohawk, and he works as a hairstylist back at Volcano Valley. He came by to Trollstopia yesterday to see the salon, and he saw me working. After I finished work, he and I went to Rock Hollow, and we just hung out. Soon, he told me that I was interesting and...the next thing I knew, he asked me if I wanted to go with him to the Hairball. I said yes, and now...*blushes* we're going together. But we're only going as friends, though that doesn't help with the playful teasing back at the hollow, especially from a certain purple-haired ambassador who is also my older cousin"! Val was stifling her laughter, along with Poppy and Aggie, as Val commented, "Come on, Melly! Even you have to admit that you both work well together." Seeing Melody blush, Trollex awed at the sight while Aggie commented, "I don't know what's more adorable: that story or seeing you blush for once, Melody." The pop/rock troll's face flushed into a dark crimson, which only grew when a new voice in a British accent entered the fray, saying, "You look so cute when you're flustered, my sweet Melody."

Everyone turned to see a teenage troll with blue skin, a black and blue mohawk, wearing a brown leather jacket and black pants, and in his pocket was a pair of scissors. He bowed and made the rock gesture while saying, "Ello, fellow Trollstopians. The name's Mojo Mohawk. A pleasure to be acquainted." Melody smiled, despite the increasing blush, as she came up to Mohawk and hugged him, saying, "Hey, Mojo. Excited for tonight's dance"? He nodded, saying, "I sure am. We're going to rock the dancefloor together. Well, I must go get fitted for my tux, but I will see you later, my sweet Melody," As he left, he tossed Melody a rose, which she caught and held close, developing a huge smile. Poppy's applause and her friends' snickering were enough to make Melody look up, hearing Trollex comment, "Just friends, huh"? The pop/rock troll's blush grew deep again as she quickly turned her head away, saying, "Oh, be quiet," as everyone broke into loud laughter. Before they knew it, Holly and Buckaroo were joining them as the country ambassador asked, "Howdy gerls and Trollex. What's going on"? Poppy happily exclaimed, "We just met Melody's date to the dance, and she likes him"! Seeing Holly and Buckaroo grow giddy, Melody shot a playful glare at the pop queen as she sarcastically replied, "Thank you, Poppy. Why don't you tell the whole world while you're at it"? Buckaroo tipped her hat as she said, "Hot dang! You one lucky troll, Melody." Melody smiled and scratched the back of her head as Rhythm asked, "So, Holly, Buckaroo. Do you two have dates for the Hairball tonight"? Both country trolls looked at one another before shaking their heads, Holly answering, "Nope! Buckaroo ayn' ay are a-goin' as single ladies. Am ay right"? Buckaroo stood on her hind legs and replied, "Yee-haw! Y'all bet! We ain't ready ta faand guys just yet." Val chuckled and joined up with them, saying, "That makes three of us, ladies."

Aggie then spoke up, saying, "Well, I can tell you that there's at least one couple who's extra excited to be going together this year." she pointed over to the ice cream stand where McJagger and Laguna were chatting with one another while sharing a tall ice cream sundae. Everyone awed over the cute scene as Melody then got an idea, saying, "Hey. Who wants to make a bet with me? 10 jellybeans saying that McJagger proposes to Laguna tonight at the Hairball." Poppy instantly shot her hand up, saying, "I'm in," as Aggie added, "Count me in." Rhythm and Blues commented, "We're I to the in, girl," as Holly and Buckaroo added, "Count us in, too." Even Val wanted in on the bet, saying, "Eh. I got plenty of jellybeans back home. Why not? I'm in." Trollex commented, "I'm in, too, though I must warn you. I've never lost a bet." Melody wrote everyone's names down as she said, 'Splendid. This shall be a lot of fun. We're going to be looking fly as we dance with the guy...well, most of us anyways." Everyone broke into laughter until Val commented, "You know the only tough side about these kinds of parties? You have to dress formally and look nice. It's not that I don't like it, but...I'm not one for wearing dresses. I rather show up in my usual attire and still dance the night away as I do." Buckaroo added, "Ay feel ya, gerl. Ay'm not one for wearing them fancy dresses either. Ay'm more of a formal suit-wearing troll."

Holly then spoke up, saying, "But dressing up for these kinds of parties can be a lot of fun! Plus, if ya ever do end up a-findin' the raheet Mr. Perfect, then ya gotta be able to flaunt ya swag and impress him with ya charm." Trollex let out a light-hearted chuckle as he added, "Holly's right. Dressing up formally can set a steady social standard and let others know that you're not afraid to go fancy and strut your stuff out on the floor." Out of the blue, McJagger spoke up as he and Laguna came towards the group, the red funk troll saying, "True dat, Trollex. Nothing makes a troll feel more satisfied than feeling fancy and free." Melody let out the flaps on her leather jacket as she commented, "Yep, and what better way to feel fancy and free than to dress up and flaunt your swag with that special troll, or while jamming with your best buds"? Trollex then pulled out his turntables as he said, "I think I feel a song coming on," as he began to play music while McJagger pulled out his bass guitar and began to play it. This allowed the ladies to begin dancing and singing along to the music.

McJagger and Trollex applauded the ladies' fine performance as the funk troll commented, "Groovy performance, ladies. With swag like that, you're going to light up the dance floor and set it on fire"! Beat then asked, "That's not actually possible, is it," as Aggie chuckled, responding, "Hopefully, it isn't." Suddenly, Smidge came running in, shouting, "Poppy! Holly! Guys! Quick! In the time square! Something incredible's about to happen! Hurry before you miss it"! Upon hearing Smidge's statement, everyone was up and running, wanting to see what was going on. They saw Synth on top of a podium in the town square, with Tiny Diamond standing next to him on a tall rock. Synth's girlfriend Stereo was sitting in a chair facing him as Synth spoke into the microphone, saying, "Stereo, I want to say from the bottom of my heart how much I rave about you. You mean a lot to me, more than I can say. in fact, every time I'm with you, my heart pounds in excitement, and I feel like *imitates air horn noises.* You make every day so special, it's like we're raving every second of the day. With that, I want to tell you my feelings the best way I know how." He pointed to DJ Suki as she began to play a song on her wooferbug while Synth sang into his microphone.

The crowd applauded and gave loud cheers as Stereo placed her hands over her beating heart as she said with a pink blush, "SYnth, that was beautiful. I loved your performance. That's one of my favorite songs of all-time." Synth laughed as he then said, "Well, then you're going to love it even more after I ask you this. Stereo, be my date tonight for the Hairball"? Stereo rapidly nodded and said, "Of course, you loveable troll! There's no one else I would want to with. After all, with you, I feel like...*imitates air horns*"! The two Techno trolls hugged as the cheers got even louder in excitement. Trollex then shouted, "Give her a smooch, brother! She's your girlfriend"! Synth, for once in his life, was speechless as a light blue blush overcame his cheeks. However, it went away the minute Stereo giggled and said, "Why not"? With that, the Techno ambassador and Stereo locked lips and shared a passionate kiss with everyone watching in awe. Trollex took a picture of this, saying, "I am so going to be using this a lot," as Aggie found herself laughing, saying, "Seriously"? Trollex shrugged as he replied, "Hey. Consider it payback for all the times he teased us about our relationship. Now, the playing fields are even." Aggie blushed and said, "Wow, I never knew I was dating such an evil mastermind," with Trollex nervously replying, "I'm not evil, just messing with my brother is all."

Poppy then looked at her watch before she gasped, saying, "Guys, if we're going to get glammed up for the dance, we need to head out right now"! Everyone gasped and started rushing home to their pods and get their outfits on and get themselves fancy for the Hairball. After all, it was mere hours away, and there was so much to do at so little time. Synth started his walk home as he commented to Branch, "Dubstep, I need to go rave or something," as the pop troll happily replied, "You nailed it, Synth"! With every troll in their pod, they all began to get their stuff together to get fresh and funky, all fancied up, and looking extra sharp for this formal event.

Buckaroo: Should I fluff it?

Laguna and McJagger: It's getting late! I already should be there!

As every troll kept getting ready for the Hairball, they imagined what it would be like to show up at their friends' houses, looking fancy, and escorting them to the dance in fancy limousines.

All(males): Her mother opens the door. I'm shaking inside (Trollex: Yeah!)!

All(females): He's here! It's time! The hour's arrived!

All(males): Don't know why her father's staring me down!

All(females): Where's my purse? Lip gloss? Now, I'm really freaking out!

All(males): Then, something changes my world! The most beautiful girl! Right in front of my eyes!

All: It's gonna be a night (All(males): Oh yeah!)

All(females): To remember (All(males): That's for sure!)! Come on now!

All: Big fun, alright!

It's gonna be the night (All(males): Here tonight!)

Then, everyone started to imagine what it would be like to be at the Hairball, dancing with their friends and special loved ones. Swinging, moving, and grooving the night away, and despite it being a formal event, everyone was having a blast. DJ Suki was operating the music as the dancefloor separated into two groups: boys and girls.

All(males): Who's the girl? *points at Laguna* She's so fine!

All(females): Who's that guy? *points at Branch* I don't recognize (Aggie: Oh!)!

All(males): Who's the girl? *points at Aggie* She looks so good, yeah!

All: Guess you never really noticed, but you probably should! Big fun!

All(males): On the night of nights (All(females): Alright!)! The night of nights tonight!

All: Let's dance!

All(males): On the night of nights! You know we're gonna do it right!

Hours later, trolls began to flock towards the sight of the party, wearing their fanciest outfits and indulging in friendly chats and dances with their friends. A huge worm limousine appeared as a butler was there to open the door to allow the passengers to exit. The troll to exit the limousine was Poppy, who was sporting a white, sparkly dress that had a lot of gold stars on it, with matching heels. She also sported a white headband with a huge star on the left, and while her hair pertained to its regular style, it swirled up into a nice curl on top. And following her was her fiancee Branch, who was wearing a blue tuxedo and dress pants, brown formal shoes, and had his style slicked back. They both walked arm and arm into the party, where a lot of the trolls saw and awed at the engaged couple and how fancy and romantic they looked. Then, floating from the sky was what looked like a bubble limo, which was a sight to behold, as it landed and opened to allow Trollex and Aggie to exit. While Trollex was sporting a simple dark purple tuxedo while Beat had on a small top hat, Aggie looked downright stunning. She was sporting a neon blue dress with light blue swirls decorated with glitter, almost making the dress resemble the ocean. She wore matching blue, specially designed flats and had on a golden seashell necklace with silver sea star earrings. Her rainbow hair was up in a fancy bun and held by a coral-themed comb, and finally, Aggie had specks of glitter on her cheeks, which really brought out her eyes. Trollex offered his hand out and said, "Shall we, m'lady." as Aggie blushed and placed her hand into his, both trolls walking into the party together.

Buckaroo, Holly, and Val greeted the couples, and all three of them looked beautiful together. Buckaroo was wearing a specially designed, magenta dress suit with white cuffs at the ends of the sleeves and golden swirls decorating the top, while the pants remained solely magenta. She was also wearing a black cowgirl hat that was bedazzled by pink rubies, and her swamp green hair was braided and seemed to part both ways as it reached her mid-back, separating into two braided pigtails that were tied with silver bows. Holly was sporting a light blue dress that had a mid-drift cut near her legs. She had her huge hair up in a big, fancy ponytail, and she was also wearing jewelry in the form of a small bracelet on her left wrist and a silver horseshoe necklace. Val had on a chartreuse, sleeveless dress with a small belt around the waist, which held a diamond-encrusted rock gesture belt. She was also wearing black flats, a matching black headband with her signature pink skull clips, and had glitter in her hair, which made her pigtails shine under the moonlight. Poppy, in awe, stated, 'Wow! You three look amazing," with Aggie adding, "Yeah, I have to agree. You all look so fancy in those outfits." The three bachelorettes blushed and/or smiled in appreciation as Buckaroo tipped her hat, saying, "Thanks, ladies. But we have ta say; you two happy couples are stunning." Holly added in awe, "Yeah! Every one av y'all look so handsome ayn' beautiful." Poppy and Aggie blushed in embarrassment as Branch stated, "Thank you. We wanted to look the best for our dates, so we had to go all out on both ends." Trollex sheepishly scratched the back of his head as he commented with a grin, "Yep! Usually, Techno trolls aren't one for wearing tuxedos, but for my special Aggie, and tonight, I was willing to make an exception and give it a try."

Aggie gave Trollex a quick kiss on the cheek as she said, "Well, you look very dapper, King Trollex. And Val, I got to say; I did not think you were one to go all-out when it came to being fancy. You look magnificent" Val shrugged as she said, "Well, not usually, but hey, I thought why not, just for tonight, though. Besides, Melly was a huge help in getting me to try dressing up like this." Poppy then asked, "Where is she anyway? Is she already with Mohawk"? Val held her hand up to try and stifle her laughter before pointing towards the punch table, making everyone turn to look. By the punch table, Melody and Mohawk talked to one another and seemed to be enjoying each other's company. While Mojo was wearing a simple black tuxedo with an orange tie, Melody had a dark red dress with a hem cut in the front, around her knees, while the rest of the dress cascaded to her ankles. Over her dress was a small purple dress cardigan with small spikes at the end of each sleeve. She was also wearing dark red dress shoes and had guitar-shaped earrings on. Her lavender/pink highlights-filled hair was down for once but styled in a fancy regal half-braid decorated with roses. Melody also had specks of gold glitter on her cheeks and around her eyes and was also wearing red lipstick. Both trolls had a slight blush as they chatted with each other, making their friends watched in awe. Buckaroo chuckled as she commented, "Ah, young love. Such ayy pretty ayn' wondrous gift that ken allure even thay mowst opposite trolls ta come togithuurr ayn' bond ovuurr ayy common purpose: love. Such ayy treat faw the eyes ayn' the heart ov those there who are destined ta meet."

Holly then asked Buckaroo, "Do ya always get philosophical when ya see something heart-warming"? Buckaroo shrugged as she replied, "It's ayy small habit av mahn that there occurs frawum tahm ta tahm." Then, up in the front, a small black spaceship appeared, making the crowd turn and look in fascination. Branch, in confusion, asked, "Is that a space limo"? Trollex and Aggie found it to be amusing as they commented in unison, "So cool"! Poppy then said, "A space limo? I think I know who might be in there." As the butler opened the door to allow the passenger to exit, McJagger carefully stepped out as his navy blue suit shined under the light. His glittery, dark blue bow time gave off a gleam as he lifted his sunglasses and gave a welcoming smile to the crowd. Then, he put his hand almost inside the space limo and helped Laguna carefully exit the space limo. Once the crowd noticed her, their jaws dropped in amazement; even Guy Diamond was speechless as Tiny, in his glittery silver jacket and tie, had to push Guy's jaw back up. Laguna was wearing the light blue, sleeveless dress she kept from the time her friends gave her a makeover, as well as the silver seashell necklace. Instead of her usual bracelet, she was now wearing a gold bangle decorated with silver music notes, and she even had new ruby red earrings, courtesy of her mother. Her hair was also in a half braid, but instead of flowers, her braids were decorated with stars, and her bangs were held in place by a neon red heart-themed clip. Laguna also had specks of pink glitter around the rims of her glasses and her cheeks. She and McJagger walked hand in hand as the crowd looked on in awe. Melody noticed this as she and Mohawk came over the greet the happy couple, the pop/rock troll commenting, "Wow. Don't you two look fancy"?

McJagger tipped his sunglasses as he said, "Thanks, Mel," as Melody then turned her attention to Laguna, saying, "And Laguna, you're gorgeous! I see you're wearing the dress from before"? Laguna blushed and readjusted her glasses, saying, "Yeah. I figured this party would be a good opportunity to show McJagger the dress, so I thought, why not"? Mohawk then spoke up, commenting, "McJagger, you sure know how to pick a pretty lady. She's one fine troll to be with." Laguna's blush grew into a deep shade of red as McJagger chuckled while mentioning, "Thanks. So, Laguna, want to go grab some punch and then take to the dancefloor"? The Techno troll nodded in agreement as they both went to go get some punch while Melody stated, "Man. you don't get any better than seeing those two happy with each other's company." Mohawk nodded as he offered Melody a cup of punch while saying, "True that. So, Melody, I've wanted to ask, how are you both a pop and a rock troll? I only ask because a combination like that seems almost hard to comprehend." Melody accepted the offered cup as he said, "Well, my dad was a pop troll, and my mom's a rock troll. They met, got married, then the next thing you know, I'm born the way I am. My case is surprising, considering there's never been a mixed-species troll born in Volcano Valley before. Even King Thrasher was in disbelief, but even so, I simply adjusted to who I was and grew into my roots easily." Mohawk took a sip from his cup as he commented, "Either way, you're one special troll, in more ways than one. I don't think I've ever seen or came across a troll with such raw but advanced abilities in the art of hairstyling until I saw you yesterday. And you're extremely advanced for a junior hairdresser." Melody blushed as she replied, "Thanks, but even so, I'm still learning. I'm nowhere near your expertise yet. You can work a lot faster than I can and still pertain to tight precision and details. The only way I can move that fast is if I slip on water, and even so, the odd chances of avoiding a mistake in that scenario are almost zero to none."

Mohawk grinned as he said, "Maybe I could teach you a couple of tips." Melody grew a small grin as her blush deepened while replying with, "Maybe I'll take you up on that offer." Mohawk and Melody looked at one another fondly before he excused himself to get more punch. As he left, Melody saw Buckaroo with a cheeky grin as she commented, "Whel, how's ya date with ya "friend" a-goin', Melody"? Melody became a little flustered as she turned her head away to hide her blush, commenting, "Oh, go kick a tree, Buckaroo. And to answer your question...it's going pretty well," as Melody's smile grew while she fiddled with her fingers nervously. Buckaroo then stated, "Whel, then turn around ayn' look by Suki because ya boy toy's about ta perform with some av thay ...uhh othuurr guys." Melody turned around and saw a crowd beginning to surround the "stage" as Melody ran to join up with Poppy, Laguna, Holly, Rhythm, Blues, and Aggie in the front row. On stage, Mohawk was with Branch, McJagger, Trollex, and Low-Note Jones, as they were ready to sing something. Suki began to play a song on her wooferbug while the guys began to dance and sing together.

The crowd applauded the boys for a stellar performance as Branch, Mohawk, Low-Note, MccJagger, and Trollex all bowed in appreciation while holding their dates close to them. Except for Low-Note, who high-fived Rhythm and Blues before joining up with his date, a fellow orange female funk troll from Vibe Town. Meanwhile, Poppy complimented Branch on his performance as the loner pop troll replied, "Thanks, Poppy. Just so you know, while we performed together, I was singing right to you, my popstar fiancee and soon-to-be wife." Poppy blushed before crashing lips with Branch as everyone watched in excitement, getting to see Poppy and Branch kiss again since Trollsmas. Trollex then pulled Aggie aside from the crowd as he asked, "Well, what did you think"? Aggie responded as her smile grew huge, "You were great up there, Trollex. That song was so beautiful." He then brought Aggie close to him as the Techno ruler replied, "Almost as beautiful as the troll right here with me." Aggie leaned in, and she was prepared for Trollex to lean in and kiss her. Trollex seemed to be expecting it because his next response was, "Wait. Before we kiss, I need to ask you something essential." Aggie understood as she stepped back a bit, asking, "Is everything ok"? Trollex inhaled and exhaled a couple of times before saying, "Aggie, I love you with all of my heart and soul. With every inch of Techno music running through my veins, I can say with utmost confidence that I love you, and I want to be with you for the rest of my life. With that being said." He pulled out a small box from behind his back while Aggie was in a frozen state of surprise and disbelief, especially when Trollex slowly opened the box, revealing a small, rainbow ring." She wanted to say something in response, but Trollex interrupted her by saying, "Wait. Let me finish. This isn't a wedding ring, especially since we're still both a little young to get hitched. This is a promise ring. Something that signifies a promise much more than a pinky promise does. This ring is a promise for one day; when the time is right for both of us, we can say together, "Let's get married." Until that day comes, will you accept this promise ring and stay with me for the long ride ahead of us"?

Trollex looked on nervously as Aggie remained in her silent state of shock for a solid minute before she could respond with an increasing, "Trollex...I love you too. Yes, I promise! Yes"! Trollex slipped the promise ring onto her left ring finger as both trolls hugged one another happily before sharing a romantic kiss, a scene that caught the crowd's attention as they watched in awe. Melody snapped her fingers before commenting with a smile, "Well, I may be 60 jellybeans poorer after tonight, but at least my hunch was correct about someone proposing tonight." Suddenly, she felt someone grab her hand as Mohawk appeared next to her, saying, "Well then, I say you're a regular chip off the old block. Say, half-pop, you mind if I call you that sometimes"? Melody nodded as Mohawk continued with, "Anyways, my sweet Melody, I was thinking...we're great friends. But, I think it's safe to say that we can agree with everyone when they say we look like we're a lot more than just friends. With that being said, do you maybe...want to go...on a date...tomorrow? Before I head back to Volcano Valley"? Melody's face flushed into a deep crimson, but she was able to smile and say, "I...would like that very much. How about a walk down to Boulder Ridge and a small picnic"? Mohawk nodded in excitement, saying, "Jolly good! Under normal circumstances, I would probably shout, 'This will be bloody fantastic"! But, just for you, I'll say, is noon a good time for us to go"? Melody chuckled as she said, "I'll let Maddy know I'm taking a day off tomorrow."

Suddenly, both trolls perked up when they heard Suki playing a slow song as Melody then offered her hand out, asking, "So, Mohawk, may I have this dance"? He bowed and accepted her hand, saying, "Yes, you may," as the small couple took to the dancefloor. Many of the trolls who heard this song playing partnered up with someone if they did not have a date and began to slow dance to the music. Poppy and Branch swayed to the tune as the pop queen softly laid her head on Branch's left shoulder while he smiled and held her close. Val was watching this going on as her manager, Demo, soon came up to her, saying, "Hey, Val. Why aren't you dancing"? She shrugged and replied, "Eh, I'm not much of a slow dancer. Besides, I don't really have a partner to do this with." Demo then offered his hand out as he said, "Well, I don't have one either. Maybe...we could dance together"? Val looked at him with a weirded out expression as Demo clarified, "I'm not saying we have to be together. I'm only asking because I don't want you to feel left out of not dancing with anyone." Val then shrugged and said as she came up to him, "Alright, I'll dance with you, but no funny business. Promise"? He nodded and replied, "I swear on my rock roots that nothing else other than dancing and chatting will occur," as both rock trolls happily took to the dance floor.

Meanwhile, Holly and Buckaroo were dancing a slow do-si-do with one another as Holly commented, "This here is ayy lot av fun. Though it ken be tricky when y'all done got four legs." Buckaroo replied with a happy, "Ya got that raheet. Say, Holly, ay know ya said y'all weren't interested in faanding any guys, but what are ya thoughts on Gust"? A little surprised by that question, Holly answered with, "Him? He's ayy respectable troll. He loves ta make sure ever'one's a-havin' fun ayn' a-stayin' safe whahl a-doin' so. Plus, he has his quirks." Buckaroo then smirked as she asked, "So, do ya like him"? With that question, Holly's cheeks flushed red and were resembling bright glo-matoes as she stammered, "What? Naw! Ay mean, ay like him as ayy friend, but ay don't "like" him. Besides, it probably wouldn't even work out between us." Buckaroo tipped her hat as she then asked, "How do ya know unless ya give it ayy shot"? Holly thought about it while both country trolls twirled and did a side shuffle step. Soon, the country ambassador spoke up, saying, "Buckaroo, you right! Ay guess ay could give asking him out ayy try. Ay mean, thay ...uhh worst he could say is naw. Besides, even if he says naw, at least ay ken rest awful easy a-knowin' ay done gave it ayy shot." Buckaroo clicked her hooves as she said, "Atta gerl, Holly. Ayn' don't ya worry. Your old wing troll Buckaroo's done got your back." Both country trolls high-hoofed one another with both front hooves as they continued to dance.

In a different part of the crowd, Synth and Stereo were slow dancing while slipping in rave motions, keeping up with their energetic personalities. Synth then commented, "Stereo, you are such an elegant dancer! You got the moves on land and in the sea." Stereo smiled as she replied, "Only because I have such a splendid partner to dance with." Synth's pixilated heart glowed and throbbed in excitement as Stereo then surprised Synth by spinning him as she stated, "Synth, together, we're the perfect rave music! With that, I have to ask...you wanna get married"? The trolls around them stopped and watched in surprise as Synth smiled and said excitedly, "Stereo, to that, I say...I'm Synth, the Tech-Yes troll! Yes"! Synth and Stereo kissed in celebration as everyone cheered for the Techno couple's surprising new engagement. Trollex and Aggie happily came up to them as Trollex said, "Congratulations, brother! You and Stereo are perfect for each other," as Aggie added, "Yeah! And I'll bet you both have an exciting time planning your wedding out"! Synth then swung his arm around Trolex and said, "You know what that means? I'm getting married before you are, brother! Unless..." as his eyes trailed to Aggie's new promise ring. Trollex placed his hands up before saying, "We're not getting married yet. It's just something to show our promise to stick together until the day we do decide to get married." Aggie nodded, saying, "It's a promise ring and a pretty one." Stereo looked at it before commenting, "That's really nice. We'll have to plan something like this when we start to get our wedding rings." Synth then said excitedly, "I'm going to be a husband," while the crowd all cheered for Synth and Stereo.

Meanwhile, Laguna and McJagger overheard the news as the funk troll said with a smile, "Did you hear that? Now, we have two engaged couples in Trollstopia." Laguna responded with, "I know! It will be most interesting to see how Synth and Stereo plan out their wedding." McJagger then asked, "Say, Laguna baby, you mind if I ask something"? Getting a slow nod as a response, the red funk troll asked, "Do you...ever plan on getting married in the future"? Laguna thought about it for a minute before saying, "Well...I don't know. It never occurred to me if I ever wanted to elope with anyone once I reached that certain timeframe. I guess between all that has happened with Trollstopia and then my...personal battles...I never really considered it. So, I guess right now; I don't plan on it. Why do you ask? Did you plan on getting married in the future"? McJagger replied with sincerity, "I mean, it would be nice, but only if both sides meet halfway. I mean, take you and me. We're a young couple, and we're taking our time with this relationship. We move at an easy, agreeable pace and don't do anything too drastic or crazy unless we both give consent. After all, that's how being together works for us, at least. If you're ready for something, and I'm ready for something, then we both do it. If not, then we wait until we are." Laguna's cheeks glowed a bright pink as she hugged her arms around McJagger's neck while saying as they continued to slow dance, "That's something I like about you, McJagger. You're so caring about other trolls and strong on equality." He smiled and placed his front paws onto Laguna's shoulders, saying, "Well, a world where everyone is treated equally and happily is a world I wish to live in. So, you might as well try to make it a reality by living it each day."

Both trolls leaned their heads in, closed their eyes in content, and shared a romantic kiss when a faint purple glow caught McJagger's left eye. He opened it and saw Laguna's normally teal green heart was glowing purple as he asked, "Uh, Laguna, what's up with your heart"? Laguna let go of McJagger and looked at her heart before saying, 'I don't know. This is just starting to happen." After a while, the purple glow went away, changing back to its original teal green coloring. McJagger then asked, "How long has that been happening"? Laguna replied with a bit of hesitancy, "This is only the second time it happens. The first time was when we were singing with Prince D and Queen Essence after that "incident" when we left my therapy appointment. It doesn't hurt or anything, but it's still a bit strange." McJagger smiled as he commented, "Either way, it's actually kind of pretty, and the glow brings out your eyes." Laguna's pink blush grew into a deep red as she smiled, replying, "Thanks, McJagger," before they wrapped their arms around one another and began to slow dance again. Under the full moon on a clear night, with the stars shining brightly in the sky, everyone danced the night away at what was bound to be one of the greatest Hairballs ever thrown. So many surprises, songs, and sensational friendship/bonding moments between our friends and loved ones.
