"Dewey are you sure about this?" Lena asked as the kids walked over to Launchpad's house to ask him to fly them to Oklahoma.

"Yeah, this does sound pretty dangerous bro," Louie replied.

"Oh come on where is your since of adventure?" Dewey shot back "This is our chance to become world famous, just think the six of us the first beings to discover the mythical Oklahoma Octopus, we will be legends."

"Or we can be dead," Louie argued,

"There could be a huge money reward for the ones who discover living proof of the thing." Dewey added, tempting his triplet.

Louie just growled as he gave in, "Curse the things I will do for money."

"Are you even sure Launchpad will even agree to take us back to the human world considering how Scrooge reacted last time we left?" Violet asked.

"Trust me, Launchpad is an idiot," Dewey replied "If anyone can be conned into taking us anywhere it's him."

"He does have a point," Lena agreed "Launchpad is pretty gullible."

"Extremely, trust me my fellow future legends, this is full proof." Dewey walked up to Launchpads door and knocked, two seconds later Launchpad opened the door.

"Hello Launchpad we need you to take us to the human world for um..." Dewey struggled to think of an excuse "Research purposes, for... school. Yeah, we are doing a report on the human world and how inferior they are to us so we need to go there and find out for ourselves. Specifically Oklahoma for reasons we can't explain."

"Man he is so bad at this," Louie complained facepalming himself, "He should have let me do the conning."

"So do you think you can take us to Oklahoma so we don't get a F on our assignments."

Launchpad was silent for a second before replying "Sure, no problem," before going back inside to gather some supplies.

"I can't believe that worked," Louie replied shocked

"Neither can I," Dewey replied before something donned on him causing him to run inside after Launchpad. "Oh we will also need scuba suits, it's for... comparing their water to ours."
"This is going to end in disaster isn't it," Lena asked the other five.

"If we don't get killed first," Louie added.

One hour later Della searched around the mansion for the boys calling them for dinner. "Kids dinner is ready, Ms. Beakley made your favorite, homemade pizza." Della expected the kids to all come running downstairs but when they didn't she started checking every room in the house. "Boys? Huey, Dewey, Louie? Anybody?" After checking everywhere in the mansion Della got on the phone and called Donald.

"Donald have you seen the boys?"

"No, I haven't. Aren't they supposed to be still doing homework?"

"That's what I thought but they are not in the house."

"Maybe check with Scrooge."

Della hung up on Donald and dialed up Scrooge, "Uncle Scrooge, I can't find the boys, I thought they were upstairs doing homework but when I went to get them they weren't there."

"Well, that is awkward lass but I'm sure they can't be far..." Suddenly something donned on Scrooge "Wait a second,"

"What is it Scrooge."

"JEFF!" Scrooge screamed before hanging up the phone.

"What about Jeff? Uncle Scrooge?"

"I take it I'm going to have to put the boys dinners in the refrigerator ain't I?" Ms. Beakley asked. Della just gave a nervous chuckle as a response before shrugging.

Jeff and Jo was staying at Drake Mallards while they were being stuck in Duckburg. For the most part it wasn't bad, even though all the Darkwing memorabilia was a little unsettling.

"Wow, you really took being a nerd to the extreme Drake," Jeff replied "Becoming the hero that you watched on TV as a kid in real life."

"That would be like you becoming a real life Batman Jeff," Jo teased.

"Well if I had a billion dollars and access to a cave I would, but sadly I don't have either."

Suddenly Scrooge came barging in the door. "Jeff, a word with you, NOW!"

"What did I do?" Jeff protested

"You filled those kids heads with that Oklahoma Octopus malarkey and now the kids are nowhere to be found.

"Hey in my defense and with Jo as my witness, I advised them against trying to find it, that it was probably not true and dangerous."

"Well a lot of good that has done lad. Need me to remind you these are the same kids that stole one of my planes to go to your world to begin with? You can't be filling these kids heads with stories, they will take them to seriously."

"Webby was the one to ask about our legends to begin with!"

"You could have said nothing."

"That would have been rude."

"Both of you stop!" Jo shot out, "First off we don't even know that the kids are going to Oklahoma, they could just be exploring some part of the island. This is a pretty big island after all."

Suddenly Scrooge got a text on his phone. "Hey Scrooge, taking the kids to the human world for some homework assignment, catch you later, LP."

"Never mind," Jo sighed after seeing the message.

"Great, now the kids are manipulating my pilot to go behind my back," Scrooge complained as he paced the floor of Drake's house.

"Hey at least we know where they are headed this time." Drake replied joining in the conversation.

"Yeah," Jeff added, "and I told them the most likely lake the octopus would be, it shouldn't be that hard to find them."

"But what if the octopus is real?" Drake asked.

"Highly unlikely," Jeff replied "Trust me I have looked."

"We can't take any chances, we must go after them at once," Scrooge said.

"I'll tag along," Drake replied "This sounds like a job for Darkwing Duck."

"Can I tag along?" Gosalyn, Drake's adopted daughter asked "I'm finished with my homework and I'm sure it wouldn't look good on you if you left a minor home alone."

"Fine," Drake replied, "But, your staying in the plane."

"Fine whatever," Gosalyn groaned.

"Let's go," Scrooge ordered, "before they get to far ahead of us."

Several hours later Launchpad landed the Sunchaser next to lake Thunderbird as the kids all put on their scuba gear.

"Now remember," Dewey told the others "Have your phones handy at all time, if we find the Oklahoma octopus, take footage and pictures and publish it for the world to see."

"And if it kills one of us?" Louie asked concerned.

"Then even better, the views will triple if there's a tragedy, just make sure you give your most terrified face before the beast eats you."

"If it eats any of us I hope it's him," Lena whispered in Violet's ear, referring to Dewey.

Dewey jumped in the water first followed by Webby, Huey, Lena, and Violet. Louie was extremely hesitant, but if there was a beast down there that could make him rich, he couldn't let the other five take all the credit.

"Ah man this better be worth it Dewey," Louie griped before jumping in the water.

With all six of the kids in the water, the Ducks dived deeper and deeper towards the bottom of the lake, Dewey had the light on his phone on, using it as a flashlight as he searched the deepest parts of the lake.

"See anything?" Webby asked.

"Not yet, but I sense something down here, I can feel it."

"That's me man," Louie replied as he wrapped around Dewey, shaking in fear.

"Get off," Dewey scolded as he pushed Louie off of him. "What are you a Duck or a chicken?"

"Well excuse me for not wanting to get eaten."

"Highly unlikely, octopuses do not eat water fowl." Huey replied "And it's highly unlikely we are going to find one in here anyway because as I stated back in Duckburg Octopuses are salt water creatures, this whole trip is a giant waste of time."

As the three brothers argued Webby saw a shadowy figure pass behind her, getting her attention. Turning around she could of swore she saw the silhouette of a octopus passing the group.

"Hey guys, I thought I saw something, something big."

"Probably just an alligator gar," Huey replied, "or a alligator snapping turtle,"

"Or an actual Alligator." Lena yelled as she turned towards Dewey "You know how many creatures are in here that can kill us?"

Suddenly Dewey felt something wrap around his legs, "Hold that thought Lena, I think I feel something wrapping around my leg.

"Probably just some seaweed." Huey replied

"Um, since when is Seaweed red," Violet replied in fear "Or tentacle like?"

All the kids looked behind Dewey and suddenly screamed at the sight of a giant octopus.

"ITS THE OKLAHOMA OCTOPUS!" Louie screamed.

"YES WE'RE MILLIONAIRES!" Dewey screamed in joy taking out his phone to snap a picture. Suddenly the Octopus grabbed it around it's tentacle and bashed it against a rock shattering it. The octopus then lifted Dewey above him and started pulling him towards it's mouth.

"Dewey!" Webby screamed swimming towards the octopus and kicking it in it's face causing the Octopus to release Dewey. The octopus sprayed black ink and swam off as Webby grabbed Dewey and pulled him to safety.

Above water Della spotted Launchpad's plane and landed it her plane right next to his. Scrooge, Jeff, and Darkwing all three instantly put of their scuba suits and started heading towards the lake.

"Jo you stay here and watch Gosalyn," Scrooge replied.

"But I want to help," Jo protested.

"No offense Jo but you can't swim," Jeff responded "and I have dived with live sharks, if anybody can handle an octopus here it's me."

Jo groaned, not liking being left out of the action "You better not get killed down there."

"I dived with sharks Jo, an Octopus should be no problem." Jeff, Scrooge, and Darkwing each dived into the water, leaving Jo to pout as she stayed in the plane with Gosalyn.

"I know how you feel," Gosalyn replied "Drake doesn't like having me tag along on missions either, but it doesn't stop me from going. Sometimes you need to follow your heart and not listen to what others say you should do."

"He has a point though, I can't swim."

"That's why there is air tanks. Tell you what, let's say we go down together, I'll lead you down there, there is still two extra suits after all."

"What about Della?"

Gosalyn looked outside to see Della scolding Launchpad for taking the kids on a secret mission. "I think she's busy, Now come on, an octopus may have eight tentacles but it can't take all of us."

Down at the bottom of the lake, the kids was hiding behind a rock hoping that the octopus wouldn't see them.

"You know, a octopus can camouflage itself to blend into any surrounding, and with no bones it can squeeze through the tiniest of openings," Huey replied as they hid behind the rock.

"Not helping dude, seriously," Louie scolded.

"Sorry, I start quoting facts when I'm terrified."

The octopus suddenly swam up from behind and made a grab for them causing them to scream and start swimming towards the surface,

"This way kids!" The kids suddenly paused and looked to their right when they heard Scrooge's voice.

"Uncle Scrooge!" The kids all screamed in joy, "Oh thank you, we are sorry we..."

"Save it, for now I got a cephalopod to whoop."

The octopus swam towards the group at top speed, Scrooge took out his cane ready to use it when the octopus grabbed Scrooge by the arm and pulled toward him.

"Uncle Scrooge!" The kids screamed

"Swim to shore kids!" Scrooge screamed, "I'll be fine!"

Jeff swam towards Scrooge and worked on trying to free him from the octopus's grasp when the octopus suddenly wrapped a second tentical around Jeff's waist.

"You know, I don't like hurting animals but I'm really tempted on making an exception with you!"

"I am the terror that flaps in the night I am onion that makes evil cry, I am Darkwing Duck!" Darkwing swam towards the Octopus and lifted his right arm ready to take a swing when the Octopus wrapped a third tentacle around Darkwing and flipped Darkwing upside down and started bashing his head on the lake floor.

"You... realize... you... will... never... win..." Darkwing said as his head got repeatedly struck against the ground.

As Gosalyn led Jo to the bottom of the lake, she suddenly saw Scrooge, Jeff, and Darkwing in trouble, not only that she saw the octopus starting to pull Scrooge towards it's jaws.

"Hurry, we got to do something!"

Suddenly Jo had an idea. Releasing her grip from Gosalyn Jo walked on the lake floor towards the Octopus.

"What are you doing?" Gosalyn asked

"Trust me," Jo replied

Reaching out her hand Jo started talking gently towards the octopus. "Hello Mr. Oklahoma Octopus, I know you are probably scared, we are intruding on your territory after all, but you don't have to do this."

The Octopus paused and looked at Jo confused.

"Jo, what are you doing?" Darkwing asked.

Jo ignored Darkwing as she continued to talk gently to the octopus. "I know you probably are scared and didn't mean to drown all those people, this is not your usual habitat and you feel scared. If you promise to let my friends and brother go, I can take you to the ocean, and you can live in your proper habitat, just please, don't hurt my friends."

Jo walked all the way up to the octopus and closed her eyes, turning her head away from the octopus as she stretched out her hand. The octopus closed his eyes and pressed it's head against Jo's hand as he released her friends.

"Your not bad, just misunderstood." Jo replied.

"How, how did you do that?" Scrooge asked as soon as he was free from the octopus.

"Well with these collars on I thought I could communicate with all animals."

"And that trick with your hand?"

"I saw it on a movie about a kid who could train dragons."

"I owe you a apology," Jeff replied "I'm glad you ignored my orders to stay behind."

"Oh don't mention it, Although I still can't swim so I need one of you to lead me back to the surface."

Taking Jo by the hand Jeff led Jo back to shore along with the others including the octopus, the kids where already on the plane getting scolded by Della when the others surfaced.

"Oh thank goodness," Louie sighed "Your... AHHHHHH THE OCTOPUS!"

"It's okay," Jo ensured "It won't hurt you anymore."

"What are you talking about?" Della asked

"Turns out it was just scared," Jeff replied "It's not in it's natural environment, so we are going to drop it off in the ocean on our way back home where it belongs.

"Can we at least get evidence of it's existence and show the world so we can be famous?" Dewey asked excited.

"And rich?" Louie added.

"No," Jeff replied firmly, "Nobody can ever know of it's existence."

"Besides," Scrooge added "After today it won't be a OKLAHOMA octopus, meaning the legend will no longer exist.

"Aw phooey," Dewey and Louie both griped, sitting in their seats and moping as the plane took off. This whole adventure was a bust.

Fun fact, I really have scuba dived with sharks and stingrays, it was awesome.
