Hi guys! This is the last chapter of the Vampire and the Kitsune! Thank you so much for reading this story and, hopefully, enjoying it. I'm thinking of maybe writing some more thing in this universe, but I have no idea what that will be at this point in time.
Anyway, enjoy the last chapter and epilogue!

One Month Later…
He woke to a soft kiss. Light. Reminded him of a butterfly…
Katsuya slowly opened his red eyes. Beautiful, azure blue stared back at him, sparkling with mischief and happiness only seen when they were together. He smiled.
"Mornin'," he whispered.
Seto smirked and whispered back, "Good morning." When she spoke he could see the slight sharpness of her fangs. "Happy birthday."
He blinked. Oh yeah! It was his birthday! He had completely forgotten!
"Hah…" He turned onto his back and looked at the roof with a grin. "It is, isn't it?"
Seto chuckled a little. She pushed herself up so she was resting on her arm. The covers slid down her shoulder, revealing her singlet covered torso. It was summer after all.
"So how old are you now?" she asked with humour laced to her words. "Surely not twenty six?"
He laughed and looked at her.
"Well maybe I am." She smirked again. "Why don't you guess? Can you even remember how old I was?"
She hummed softly. He didn't expect her to remember. It was a very big number after all–
"Sixteen thousand…" she whispered, "and five hundred."
He stared. Huh…
"Guess you really do have a good memory…"
Seto laughed. She lay back down, suddenly looking like a teenage girl rather than the stoic CEO he knew. Maybe it was the genuine happiness and ease in her eyes.
"When you've lived for one hundred and a half years you learn to remember the little things…"
"Little?!" He fake gasped and she laughed again. "I would think my age is very important."
She rolled her eyes.
"Whatever the case…" She placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "We're going to have a lot of people over because your friends like parties. So…" She rolled out of the bed. "Get up. We have a busy day."
He groaned softly as the teenager was gone. She smirked and walked into the bathroom.
"Do I get my present at least?!"
All he got was a laugh.
As the day progressed, Katsuya found himself grinning like an idiot. He loved birthdays. It had been fun when he was younger, with the Thirteen, and it was even more fun now with his human friends. Both very different events occurring, but still fun either way.
Seto had been nice enough to actually cook. Make them breakfast, at least. Of course they ended up doing it together because he couldn't just let her do it herself. It was more fun messing it up for her, annoying her to no end, instead of watching her. They had taken a good hour and a bit to make simple pancakes and waffles.
Following that they had an hour to hang out together. He nagged her for his present, but she still wouldn't give it. She said he had to wait. But wait for what? He wanted something before everyone got here…
Around lunch time Mokuba and Rika arrived. They hung out for a while, talking and having supernatural fun. Katsuya found it kind of funny how Mina had quickly begun to 'respect' him. She didn't try anything like the first time they met, and he could only think this was Rika's doing. It didn't really annoy him though. It was just funny.
Following this, pretty much now, his friends had arrived. Yugi, Anzu, Honda, Bakura and Otogi. To say he was having fun was an understatement. He loved birthdays.
"So what did Kaiba-san get you?" Yugi asked as they sat down to play a video game.
Katsuya pouted a little as he said, "She hasn't given it to me yet. She won't."
Instead of sympathising with him, Yugi just smiled.
"Maybe she has something planned for later?"
Katsuya shrugged. He idly fiddled with his locket. That item had not left his person since Seto first put it back on him. He was never letting it go. Never ever.
"Maybe…"
They soon jumped into their game of Super Smash Bros Ultimate. The newest game with so many characters…he loved it. They both did. Seto had every console ever, so they could play any game they liked.
He and Yugi always played this one. Sometimes Bakura and Otogi would join in, and Mokuba too. Seto rarely did, but when she did, she practically smashed them all. Save for Yugi.
Who was currently killing him!
"Dang!" Katsuya sighed as the Game Over voice over echoed. He smirked at Yugi. "You're too good."
Yugi just smiled. He had played as Lucas that time. The little boy seemed to be one of his mains, save for Mario and Pikachu. Although Pichu probably fit him better…
Yugi would so kill him if he said that aloud…
Katsuya himself found he enjoyed playing as Roy, Cloud, Incineroar and Samus. A little OP some of them but it was fun.
"Oi Jou." He looked up as Honda sat on the couch behind him. He and Yugi were sitting on the floor. "You main as Fox at all?"
Katsuya narrowed his eyes at the joke. He mocked growled, making Honda laugh.
"Fox sucks!" He crossed his arms. "He's not even Kitsune…"
Yugi gave a light chuckle while Honda just laughed some more. Honda leaned down, Otogi now joining him on the couch. Bakura had already been watching so now the couch was full.
"Does Kaiba play as Bayonetta?" he asked with a smirk. "Or the Vampire hunters?"
Katsuya smirked at that. She'd so kill Honda for that…
"Do you guys want to play?" Yugi asked while reaching for the other controllers.
The game was eight players, so it was easy to hook them all up. The group of boys soon started playing, heated arguments and yelling coming from the living room as they fought. Mokuba soon joined while Anzu and Rika watched with a slight distaste. Katsuya caught the mutter of "Boys," from Anzu.
Almost as if to disprove her point, Seto came into the room. She glanced at the TV, smirked, and picked up a controller.
"Did you even offer for those two to join in?" she asked them as the game ended.
Katsuya blinked.
"Eh…"
He laughed nervously while Honda just said, "They didn't want to."
Seto didn't really seemed bothered to push. She joined Katsuya on the ground. He rose an eyebrow.
"Going to play now?"
She smirked and selected Robin. The spellcaster.
"You know I'll win."
"Oh? Against Yugi too?"
"Jou-kun," Yugi said softly on his other side, "Kaiba and I are even at this game. Fifty fifty."
Seto nodded with a smug smirk. He sighed.
He was so going to lose…
They played a couple of games, and as predicted, either Yugi or Seto won. Katsuya glared at the Corrin character as she ploughed through everyone else and won with her final smash.
"You're so mean," he whined.
Seto just smirked darkly.
"I would be mean if I used my superspeed."
His eyes widened. Hold on!
"That could work?" he asked with a steadily growing grin.
Seto paused, before narrowing her eyes.
"It's cheating but…yes, it works…"
"I made it so it would!" Mokuba chimed in, having eavesdropped. "We could have a speed battle?"
Oh…that could be interesting…
"Alright!"
Katsuya pressed the next game. Almost in seconds, the human players soon found their characters blown off the map nearly three times each to game over by the three superhuman players. Katsuya grinned as his fingers flew across the buttons. This was so much easier! Why didn't he do this earlier? He would win almost all the time like this–
Ack!
Katsuya groaned as he was killed for the third time. He watched instead as Seto and Mokuba went into a quick paced battle for a good couple of minutes. Seto won.
"That wasn't fair," Otogi protested when the game finished.
Katsuya shrugged. He leaned back. He felt his tails brush along the ground with a sudden realisation. His tails had become visible!
"Eh…?" He glanced at the crimson red fur surrounding him and slipping behind Seto and Yugi. Yugi seemed uncomfortable but Seto otherwise didn't seem to care. "Woops…" Sliding them back into himself, he grinned at Yugi. "Sorry. They didn't do anything, right?"
Yugi frowned in confusion but shook his head.
"Not that I know of…"
Ok good. Just the discomfort of high magic and seduction from touch. Cool.
"Let's play again!"
"No high speed this time," Honda muttered.
Those supernatural just chuckled. No promises…
The afternoon continued with fun games and presents. He was so happy to finally get something. Annoying Seto for holding out. She still hadn't given whatever it was to him!
He wanted to know!
His friends had gotten him cool things. Booster packs, Duel Monsters things and some extra money. He was surprised by the lack of fox references. Er, well…
Mokuba grinned as he opened the present from him and Rika. Katsuya's eyes widened.
It was a box. Inside the box were multiple things. A bowl with food in it. Gladwrap stopped the food from spoiling, but he didn't really care about that. Inside was none other than a bowl of kitsune udon. Really just fried tofu with udon noodles, but gods it reminded him of his past. The smell too. Way way back when Inari used to give them this. One of the few kind gestures he missed…
Around that was a scroll. He frowned as he took it out. Everyone watched as he rolled it open–
"Ah!" he yelped aloud in embarrassment and surprise both. Mokuba and Rika gave grins, Rika's looking more fox like. "H-How did you get this?" he asked quietly, closing it before those diving to look over his shoulder saw.
Mokuba looked at Rika. She shrugged, eyes flashing with the dark purple of Mina.
"Mina-chan had it lying around." Lying around?! "She says she found it a couple hundred years ago and had tied it to her item." Rika grabbed the thing around her neck. "She intended to give it to Kage-sama, but since it belongs to you…"
Katsuya smiled a little. It had been a while since he last saw that painting…
He placed the scroll back into the box and closed it before prying eyes could force him to open it again. The curiosity burned from those who did not know what it was, but he ignored them.
"Thanks."
The two seemed satisfied. He looked at Seto and she just smirked.
"Not yet."
"What?!" He groaned before whining, "Please? How long are you going to make me wait?!"
"Long enough."
He pouted but he knew he'd get nowhere. He bet she would give it to him tonight…
Oh! Speaking of tonight…
Katsuya glanced at his phone. Right…only a couple hours before he'd get to hang out with his group of the Thirteen. Kage, Kaze, Celest, Sei and Umi. Ji and Oto were out of country so they wouldn't be around. The others didn't really care. He couldn't wait for tonight…
Seto would be coming too. He wanted to show her what they used to do for his birthday. She would like some of it. Being a blood drinker like him.
"What now?" he asked.
Anzu grinned as she got up.
"Cake."
The evening soon came and Katsuya was bouncing on the balls of his feet as he said goodbye to his friends. He wanted to get going. Kage and the others should be here soon. He wanted to go. To start the games he used to play…
"Excited much?" Seto mumbled beside him.
They had come out into the backyard that was more of a forest than anything. He liked the backyard. Someone could get lost in that grove of trees.
"It's been a long time." He was unable to hide his genuine excitement. "But you know, if ya coming with us you gotta be ok with what happens. It's by no means 'good'."
Seto rose an eyebrow. She crossed her arms and looked out to the darkened sky.
"I'm sure I'll be fine." She smirked a little. "I'm not like your human friends. I'm ok with a little blood and gore."
Oh but it was definitely not a little…
"We'll see…"
A rustle in the trees made both of them look ahead. Slowly, foxes the sizes of lions came out of the shadows. First a black fox with grey tips. Then a white blue. A pastel yellow. Ocean blue. Then finally the grey.
The foxes changed into their humans and Katsuya grinned. Finally…
Kage smirked and waved as they came to meet them on the grass. He and the others all looked great in their ideal forms. Highly attractive and massively powerful, but they seemed comfortable.
And free.
"Time to go?" Kage asked.
Katsuya grinned and nodded.
"Let's see how out of practice you are, Rei," Celest taunted as they all stepped into the shadow made by Kage.
"I doubt I'm that bad…"
Yet he had only just be given the freedom to kill whomever he pleased whenever he pleased. Unlike the humans he killed for their organs, now he could kill without a reason. He didn't have to justify it to something inside him.
This would be much easier than the last three thousand years…
The small group came out on top of a building. He glanced at Seto. She was watching with narrowed eyes, trying to figure out what exactly they were going to do. He just smirked and looked down to the street with his Kitsune friends.
People walked about. It was still early, so families and younger people were out. They wouldn't target a family. That would be pushing it for any of them. The group here respected families and would never possess a child unless they absolutely had to. Katsuya used to play with kids, but ever since he lost his Orb he had learnt the value of family.
Sorta.
"Let's see…" Umi whispered as she crouched down. So she was gonna go first? "What should we do? Couples, druggos, friends?"
While Seto frowned in confusion, the other Kitsune considered. Katsuya honestly wasn't sure. Anything he did would be judged by Seto, and he couldn't very well start making out with some random. She wouldn't like that. If he was killing someone however…
"How about them?" Kaze asked while pointing at a mushy couple walking past.
Umi and Sei's eyes flashed. They shared a glance, then similar looks of opportunity rose in the form of grin and smirk. Umi stood back up.
"It's been a while since I partnered with you, Sei."
The Spirit Kitsune shrugged. It was rare, but there was the sadistic gleam of her demonic side. Katsuya shared a grin with Kage at this. It was always amazing when Sei decided to be like them. To join in instead of being the 'mother' of the group.
"You want the girl or the boy?" the woman asked, already beginning to mist.
Umi grinned.
"I'll take the girl."
The two became blue and grey mists. The others watched as the mist flew down to the couple. Katsuya leaned against the railing as the couple coughed a little, stopping, before both of their eyes changed colour.
"What exactly are they going to do?" came Seto's muttered question as the 'boy' pulled the girl into an alleyway.
"They're going to make out, probably," Katsuya answered as the 'boy' pushed the girl against the shadowed wall. "But those humans are still seeing, feeling, being while the girls control their bodies."
Seto's eyes slid to him but Kage continued.
"The humans know what's happening," he said, "but they can't stop it. We're being nice in only making out. They're already a couple too, so it's ok."
Katsuya felt his tails swish as the two started to passionately make out. He knew the two Kitsune were enjoying the fear and confusion of the humans. Feeding off it…
Hopefully they wouldn't consume their souls…
"Let's leave them," Celest suggested from behind. Katsuya pushed back to look at her. "We're going to meet at the club anyway. So let's find some sport for ourselves."
He could agree with that…
Kage made another portal. When they stepped out this time, they were closer to the club and some ways away from the last building. He looked over again.
Oooh…
Druggo gang…
Celest suddenly gasped and her eyes lit up.
"I have an idea!"
She disappeared in a burst of light to reappear near the alleyway the druggos were in. She suddenly took on a shy and fearful persona, venturing into the alleyway. Her footsteps were easily noticed by the gang.
Oh…she was going with that tactic…
"What's this one?" Seto asked once the men had surrounded her.
"Just watch," Katsuya whispered, eager to see this.
It had been a long time since he last saw Celest fight. Kill. It would be great…
One of the men seemed to say something. Celest pretended to cower as a hand came towards her.
And one head hit the wall.
Katsuya smirked and Kaze giggled a little as shouts of surprise echoed up. Celest blinked innocently at the decapitated body bleeding on the ground before her. She looked at the main man.
Sorry, he knew she would be saying, I didn't mean for that to happen.
Her tails whipped out in one neat spiral. Blood soon followed that spiral, seemingly suspended in air as she cut down pretty much the whole group. The blood fell as she dropped her tails. The girl stalked up to the last one. She smiled, that pretty dazzling smile, before shoving her hand through his chest and ripping out his heart.
Ahh…so beautiful…
He hoped one day he could watch Seto kill like that…she rarely killed now that she didn't have to.
Celest reappeared next to them. She held out the heart to him.
"My present."
He laughed but took it.
"Thank you."
As he started to eat, Kage looked up at the sky.
"Hmm…the other two should be at the club by now…" He looked back at them. "Let's get over there. We can continue there."
Nods of agreement. Katsuya quickly finished before following them through, easily cleaning his face of the blood. His clothes…eh. That didn't matter.
The club in question was a recently new one. Umi had found she quite liked owning a nightclub. With a little Trick, she soon became the owner of the new Spirit Nightclub. A club for both humans and supernaturals. Those who entered would not remember the supernatural events occurring unless they themselves were supernatural.
It was pretty handy when a hungry Vampire needed food, or a sketchy deal needed to be made.
Coming out near the back, the group soon went to a booth designated to them. Kind of like VIP booths. Umi kept the best ones for the Thirteen, Katsuya and Seto. It was good when they wanted some privacy.
Like tonight.
Already there, as Kage said, were Sei and Umi. They both looked too happy. Had they been drinking already? Or were they just drunk on fear? Probably both by the empty glasses.
"Took your time," Umi commented as they filled up the remaining space. "So what did you do?"
"I killed some people," Celest said with a shrug. "That's it."
Umi's face fell. She looked at Katsuya, Kage and Kaze.
"You haven't done anything yet?"
"Well…" Katsuya smirked at Seto. The Vampire blinked. "Are you hungry?"
She frowned.
"For normal food or…"
He let his smirk turn to a grin. Seto's eyes flashed violet.
"…we're not killing them."
"No of course not." He slid out of the booth. "Gender preference?"
Seto shook his head. He grinned.
Alright…
To say she was confused was a little understatement. As Katsuya walked into the crowd, she couldn't help but notice the excited behaviour of the Kitsune around her.
"What am I not understanding?" she asked slowly to any of them.
As usual, Kage was the one to answer.
"Rei's started another game," he whispered, eyes glowing softly as they looked out to the crowd. "Just wait. He'll bring someone over and make a game out of it."
She frowned. A game? She understood he would probably Trick the person, but what did he mean by game?
Seto followed their gazes to the crowd. She quickly caught sight of Katsuya and some girl. The girl…
Something wasn't…right…
"Oooh…" She glanced at Celest. The Kitsune leaned forward on her arms, eyes also glowing. "Do you think he's gonna…" she started only to drift off.
Seto's frown deepened. Do what?
She flinched a little as Celest and Kaze both gave a gasp of excitement. What…?
Looking back at Katsuya, her frown only deepened still. What was so good about his tails?
She watched in confusion as Katsuya danced around the girl. The girl in question replied, but it seemed dazed and slow. Confused. One of those white tails slipped over her shoulder as he moved behind her. The girl shuddered and the almost giddy excitement grew.
Katsuya never touched her properly. Brushes. Fingers on her bare skin. Tails over her butt or over her shoulders. The girl increasingly became dazed and her eyes quickly started to glass over. Once brush of his tail under her chin, like a caress, was enough to finally put her into some sort of doll like state.
Seto hadn't realised she was cocking her head in confusion until Celest sighed.
"I miss the days he used to do that with me…"
Her voice was almost wistful. Like some teenage girl watching the hottest guy in school and swooning over him. Seto looked at her with that confused frown.
"…do what?" she questioned.
"You should know!" Celest said while sitting up. "Rei's tails…" Her eyes glazed over and she smiled almost dreamily. "His tails are so…"
"It's hard to explain…" Umi whispered, her voice as well sounding somewhat fangirly. "It's been many years since he's done it to any of us, but it's something any of us would kill to feel again."
"Hm." She looked at Kage quickly as he agreed with a small nod. "Even for straight guys like me, I wouldn't mind."
W-What? What was this?
"He's never done it to you?" Kaze asked politely, blinking innocently. "I thought he would have considering how close you two are…"
"He could be afraid," Seishin whispered, back to her normal seriousness. "It can leave damaging effects."
The others all shrugged while Seto was left feeling more confused than before she asked. Katsuya just so happened to return at that moment, gently pushing the girl towards them with one of his tails. His ears flicked as his eyes drifted over them all.
"Are you guys seriously affected even from that distance?"
Seto blinked. Affected? By what?
"You can't deny you have a gift," Umi said quietly as Katsuya pushed the girl into the vacant seat next to Seto. Seto shifted over so he could fit too. "Even we can't resist after so long."
Katsuya shrugged, eyes glowing vulpine. He looked at Seto.
"And you? Do you feel anything?"
When Seto shook her head, he stared in surprise.
"Really?" He hummed softly. "That's…different."
"Rei!" Celest suddenly shouted. Everyone flinched somewhat as they turned to her. "How could you not show her?" she scolded.
Katsuya blinked.
"Huh?"
"You're dating!" she continued. "You should have let her feel it by now!"
Katsuya suddenly flushed and he looked away.
"Eh…well maybe I don't wanna," he mumbled. "I mean this is the first time in a long time that I've done it…"
"When you get home you need to do it," Celest declared. "She has to understand."
Seto really didn't understand…
"Whatever…" Katsuya muttered, turning back to the doll girl. "So are you still hungry?" he asked Seto.
Seto blinked. Her eyes drifted to the pale neck. She felt her fangs growing already.
"Might as well…" she whispered while pushing back the girl's hair.
Gently biting down, she was greeted with the pure bliss of blood. She sighed a little as the liquid trickled into her throat. It was honestly the tastiest thing in existence. She couldn't remember anything tasting as good when she was human.
While she fed, the conversation continued.
"What are you two going to do?" Katsuya was asking Kage and Kaze.
The couple glanced at each other. Kaze shrugged.
"I guess watching has been pretty fun," Kage muttered, looking back at Katsuya. "And we've kind of done every game."
"Except Tricking," Celest pointed out with a grin.
Seto let go and wiped her mouth. Tricking…
"That is like my compulsion, correct?"
Nods. So they would Trick someone to do what they wanted?
…she wasn't sure she wanted to watch that one…
Hit a little too close to home…
"Let's just have fun," Kage said while standing. He climbed out of the booth. "I'm going to get us some shot glasses."
Seto ignored him as she went back to the wound she had made. Shot glasses…alcohol and blood…hm.
"You're sure drinking a lot," Katsuya commented.
She glared but let go again.
"It's been a while since I've had fresh human blood." She wiped her mouth again before forcing herself away. "But you have a point."
Katsuya suddenly tried to back track.
"Er, I wasn't saying you had to stop–"
"No. At this rate I'll kill her."
"Oh…"
She shrugged. Without realising, her mind drifted to the gift she still had yet to give her boyfriend. She sighed softly to herself. At this rate she may be giving it to him tomorrow…
"Alright!" She looked up as Kage placed seven shot glasses down with a bottle of tequila. "Let's get this party started!"
They returned home very late that night. It was past midnight by the time they stumbled up to the bedroom. Katsuya grinned as he and Seto practically steadied each other up the stairs. They had drunk way too much…but Kage just kept pouring…
And who was he to resist?
As they finally made it into the bedroom, Katsuya practically flopped onto the bed. Seto laughed a little before walking to her bedside desk. He watched as she pulled something out.
"What's that?" he asked, voice slurring a little.
Seto smirked. She lay down next to him. She placed the box between them. He cocked his head, golden tipped ears tilting in confusion. He was too drunk right now to keep his tails hidden. It had been a quick Trick to help him hide them to get home, but now that Trick was gone.
"Your present," she whispered while nudging it. "Open it."
He looked down at the box. It was small. Wrapped in dark red paper with a golden bow. Sitting up, he slowly pulled the golden ribbon. Seto sat up too as the ribbon fell to either side of the box. He lifted the lid–
"Oh wow…"
Two rings sat in the box. One was obsidian black with ruby gemstones. The other was ivory white with sapphire gemstones. He picked up the obsidian one.
"This mine?" he asked.
Seto nodded while taking the white one.
"We can't get married," she said softly while sliding the white ring onto her ring finger. "And we can't get engaged. But we can still have rings that bind us." She smiled and he found himself smiling back. "I didn't think gold was good enough for us. This was the life we met, and I want to remember this life while we continue to live together."
He grinned as he slid the ring onto his own finger. He then pulled her forward and kissed her. Seto replied, leaning into his chest when they broke away.
"Thank you," he whispered. Without really knowing, his tails came to lay on the bed around them. "This is the best gift."
She chuckled a little but nodded. She let out a soft sigh.
"I'm tired…" Her eyes drifted to his tails. He stiffened a little as she buried her fingers into the soft fur, gently shifting it around. "I don't get it…" He tilted his head in confusion. "What is it everyone else feels?"
He blinked. She…she couldn't feel the seduction magic?
"You don't feel it?" he whispered.
She shook her head and looked up at him.
"What am I supposed to feel?"
Katsuya parted his lips to speak, when the reason suddenly hit him like a hangover. He smiled in relief.
He didn't have to worry.
"You know Kitsune have high seduction magic," he whispered. She nodded. "Because I am the First, mine oozes out of me at such a strong frequency anyone falls for it. But it only works when I'm in true form. Like white gold." She nodded again. "You're not affected because you love me."
She blinked.
"But Celest loves you."
He shook his head.
"She loves me, but she lusts for me too. She's not affected either, but she lets it in because she likes the feeling it gives her. You." Without thinking, he brought his tail up and caressed the side of her face. She just continued to look at him with that innocent expression she got when her guard was down. "You love me with your heart, and I love you too. What is the point in seduction magic when we're already in love?"
Seto paused as her drunk mind tried to catch up, before she smiled and nodded.
"That makes sense…" She gently grabbed the tail still at her face. She ran her fingers over it. "So that means you can do anything with them around me and nothing will happen?"
He nodded.
"Like right now." He pulled her to lie down with him. "We're going to bed and we're going to sleep, while my tails are out."
She laughed a little but nodded. Very quickly they fell asleep like that, clothed and on top of the covers.
It had been a good day.
The perfect gateway to an eternity forever…
